we had two visits here, on the first we had sunday dinners which were really good value for money as the portions were quite large, decent pub fayre to be honest.Our second visit we called as we were passing on a saturday evening, around six-thirty. Unfortunately we were told there were no places available until eight o'clock onwards, despite the place being quite barren of customers?

Went for breakfast this morning with the family great service and great food highly recommend booking if going at a weekend as was very busy but all the team kept a smile and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you Dean,Paula and Laura and can’t forget the chefs. we will certainly be back

Service started off efficiently (quick drinks order followed by food order), then the starters came out very quickly but then the things went a wrong. Mains all came out before we had finished the starters and then the service disappeared. We had go to bar to get more drinks and after that we had to get the dessert menu ourselves. The katsu chicken was excellent and a large portion whereas the steak pie should have been called a gravy pie (virtually no meat in it) and was small with only a tablespoon of mash; really a starter not a main course. The desserts we wanted were not available so we paid although card payment is not possible at the table so another trip to the bar was required! Hit & miss is the best way to describe our visit.

Cracking breakfast great value for money and they don't keep you waiting long

Yet another visit to the Beeches and yet again excellent food and service.We had the Burger meal and the fish&chips and it took about 20 minutes for the food to arrive and was very well presented and tasty but would say the burger meal had hardly any chips.Will be back in the next few weeks.

Positioned to serve the Premiere inn next door and a great busy road near Wrexham with some parking available for non hotel visitors. The place itself is spacious, with high standards of furnishings and a feel of warmth and quality. The food from the main menu is typical pub fare including a steak and a couple of Curries but fairly standard. My chicken however was well cooked and juicy and the salad was fresh and crisp, the highlight of this visit. Upin arrival, I was ignored twice by the same lady who was determined to avoid any eye contact or acknowledge me waiting to be seated. The barman dealing with around 100 empties managed to show me to the biggest table available (dining solo) and took a drink order 👍. 5 minutes later I get a menu once my order went in It was around 15-20 minutes for my meal Which is fair but Id already spent an additional 15 minutes getting to thst stage. I would give this restaurant another try because the food was well prepared if not as good as homemade and maybe there will be different floor staff on shift.

Do NOT book breakfast for 10.30, visited there today, waited 15 minutes for someone to take our order, arrived at the table at 11.02am, when we requested more, as we paid for unlimited breakfast we were told it had finished so we couldn't have more!! Spoke to the manager, who rolled his eyes more than once, told us he was tired due to his little girls keeping him up all night, and seemed very unprofessional. We had to ask for complimentary drinks, due to us not being offered any compensation for the fact that we did NOT get what we paid for! Would not recommend and most definitely won't be going back!!

The veggie burger was nice. Chips were excellent. Good service. Kids meals were nice but small (more chips). Would go again and reccomend ordering extra chips

Just popped in to meet someone and grabbed a coffee ☕. Place was nice and relaxed and quick service with a decent if not spectacular coffee.

Our family stayed at the Premier Inn. We had a family room, the staff are amazing. Super friendly and helpful. We had breakfast at the Beeches every morning where the great service and wonderful customer care continued. I highly recommend both establishments for a holiday or meal.

Great staff great food we had the Christmas faye turkey and all the trimmings

Stayed at the hotel and paid for breakfast the next day. After being seated, the server said he would be back to take our order. He didn't come back. I got up 3 times to ask someone to take our order, and each time, I was told, 'I will send someone' over. Exactly 1 hr after arriving, someone came to take our order and less than 10 mins later the food arrived. I wish we hadn't bothered, the only edible thing on our plates was the sausage. Beans that looked like they had boiled dry, black pudding that had been kept warm far to long, raw mushrooms and the bacon looked and smelt raw!

Well where would you like me to start 1st I picked here for somewhere different as every Xmas myself and my family and friends meet on roughly a halfway meet inbetween Menai Bridge and Dudley, we arrived early but fair play were shown to our table, it then took 15 to 20 minutes for someone to take our drinks order and that's when the panto started the ladies wanted cocktails to which she said we only have 3 Pina Colada,Rum punch and Pornstar Martini and 1 wanted a large glass of Pinot Grigoo, couple of mins later girl comes back to say no Pornstar and no Pinot Grigio, we laughed a week before Xmas and a very busy pub with no Pinot lol, I asked who does the ordering and the reply creased me up my mother she said, we finally got our drinks and waited to give our food order, food came 3 turkey, 2 salmon and a gammon, food was ok just slightly better than Spoons so I'm sorry Beeches we won't be back.

Food was edible but definitely frozen food , and why can't food be served hot

As someone with a gluten allergy I was very impressed that the first question I was asked was " Do you have any allergies". It is a busy place with very friendly staff who worked extremely hard. The food arrived hot and tasted delicious. I would definitely recommend it and would happily return again.

Popped in for a drink only whilst charging our ev car. Team very welcoming.

My brother,sister and myself booked a family Christmas get together for 21 of us which included our children and 7 grandchildren and their spouses. We enjoy coming here to the Beeches in Gresford because we have such a variety of ages in our group and the food is so good and there is also a good selection, that you are sure of a meal for everyone. It was just lovely and I want to thank the staff for making a lovely afternoon especially the young man who was polite and curtious and looked after our party. The crackers went down a treat with the children. Thank you. 😊

We enjoyed a very good Sunday lunch and will certainly visit again. The portions were generous and the food delicious. Service was prompt and friendly. The only point I would make is the meals needs to be served on hot plates with the portions being so good.

Always have lovely meals here and the daytime lunch deal is very reasonable 😋

Only went for breakfast, standard premier Inn. Just what we needed

First visit to the Beeches for a few months service was hit and miss but the food was spot on,Fish and chips with mushy peas and bread and butter my partner had the Burger and chips,for drinks we had a coke and a stella to wash it down with at a price of £27 pound with the Meerkat discount.A bargain.

Wide choice of food, but the hot food was only luke warm. The toaster machine was very slow working... quite old, probably needs replacing. The self-service tea and coffee section is fine, but most hotels manage to get a staff member to provide that after taking your food order. Otherwise, it's clean and well run.

This is somewhere I visit rarely, usually daytime when passing through as it’s quite a nice environment for a quick coffeee or tea. But I always come away having had a positive experience and always mean to put a review on here but always forget until now. Each time I’ve been here the staff are always very welcoming and seem to go out of their way to help. Today I stopped for a brew and asked if they did a scone or a cake something to allow me to take some medication. I was informed that it was just a lunch menu available . I said I’d just have the tea for now and sort something later. When the fella brought me my tea, he also brought a couple of pastries which were left over from the breakfast buffet.i was very pleased and am most grateful. Have had a similar experience here in the past and would just like to say thanks to Dean and the team. It’s much appreciated

Amazing time! My friend and I were looking/thinking of somewhere to go for some lunch... I recommended the Beeches! we had a lovely time! I had the creamy chicken and pulled ham pie, and she had the smothered chicken, can't fault the food!! Can't fault the service either!! Logan was our server, he looked after us fantastically! Chloe served our food and was happy to get us anything else we needed! And Graham, the chef, cooked excellent meals for us today! He even came to check on us and make sure everything was perfect! 15/10. Highly recommend 👍

Started off great, warm welcome however food came out warm not hot. Restaurant not busy, waitresses took the opportunity to chat amongst themselves, ignoring customers. Had to interrupt their chat to order additional drinks we were charged for but didn’t receive. Overall extremely disappointed with food and more importantly customer service which doesn’t deserve one star.

Food was ok, reasonable pricing, but service was slow and the table we booked wasn't ready, even after the time we booked it.

Pub next door to our hotel. Due to the incessant rain during our stay, we used this pub as a great eating place but were rather disappointed that the only real ale was Doombar instead of more locally sourced beer.

Great meal, staff were wonderful! My food was prepared exactly the way that I wanted it, the staff were very welcoming and helpful and the service was great.

Definitely NOTHING To rave over. Place is unkept , went to the toilet , as I was walking out the metal part on the door frame for the lock ripped my brand new £60 jumper on the arm. Food was nothing special , standard. The lady who served us was so rude , she clearly did not want to be there what’s so ever , young girl with a terrible attitude problem. We asked for sauce and she took 20 minutes to the point my little brother actually got up and went to the bar himself for mayo. She then looked at my brother funny when he was walking away with sauce as if she was about to do it !!! Then she came over with a face on her and went “ do you want pudding or not ?” Found her extremely rude 🤗wouldn’t recommend !!!

Beeches had no power we wasn’t even offered a bottled beverage no food as no electricity no one came to explain what was going on definitely wouldn’t recommend

Dinner out with family, age range 8-74. Everyone really enjoyed their food. Served hot and didn’t wait too long. All staff - Cerys, Chell, Yas & Jess - were friendly and helpful. Price, including drinks, was very reasonable.

Has gone downhill a bit since our last visit!

We happened to eat there and do not regret it. Lots of visitors, place clean and polite, no problems. The meals, 2xfish&chips and a chicken dish, were delivered quickly and tasted good. We recommend everyone...

Excellent as always. Served by Gray- The Kenny Omega of Hospitality. 5 Stars all around. The food was outstanding, the service brilliant, and a good atmosphere. It can get INCREDIBLY BUSY, so I would recommend booking. However the existence of Gray implies the existence of a Will Osprey of Hospitality

Absolutely lovely great food and great service

very disappointed. took my partner for a meal and i had to go up to get my drinks as they forgot, i asked for fish, chips, garden peas and bread, they gave me fish, cold chips, mushy peas, and forgot my bread. i felt sick after eating the fish. my partners chips where cold and her gammon was so chewy she choked. disgusting prices and also they werent even half full of customers. ive had 10x better service at plas coch restaurant when they are full up. avoid the beeches. its not what it used to be. also since we left the beeches me and my partner has had a weird taste in our mouths. like urine. 2 other customers said the same thing. we were both sick when we got home so someone must be washing the pots in piss

Sadly some of the worst service I’ve ever had. Main order was taken at an ok time but 45 minutes after finishing our mains they had not been cleared. After eventually giving up being served I went to the bar to ask to order deserts but was at first told we couldn’t as the kitchen was closed. Another, I assume off shift, staff member who was drinking at the bar corrected this. Shortly after a staff member came to our table and said “right what do you want” in a very short manner. We had to explain we hadn’t even seen a dessert menu yet. We also ordered drinks, these never came. Clearly someone had decided to close early that night and wanted us gone. We would have left earlier but had a pre paid meal from the hotel.

Family friendly pub located by a premier inn. Went there because they offered vegan options. Had a nice meal. Service was good. Food was reasonable price and good quality. We enjoyed our meals.

I was staying at the hotel so had a meal and breakfast here, staff were friendly and food was nice. They were really busy but food came out in a good time, breakfast was also good.

Popped here as a group of 8 for breakfast. Glad we booked before we arrived as with it being a Saturday it was really busy. It was also cash only but luckily when we called to book we were told this information. Plenty of selection of food whether it be hot or continental. The best pain au chocolat I have ever tasted

Went to meet up with family. Food was good, staff were more than good. This is going to be our 'meet up place' in the future, as its central for everyone. Thank you for making our 'get together' so nice.

The staff are always very friendly and helpful, especially Gra and Luke who are brilliant with our small children always making them laugh and going the extra mile. Can't fault them enough makes the whole dining experience better.

Was such a shame that although the staff said the phone signal was very poor in the pub that they wdnt honour many proof forms of blue light discount I had to enable the discoutt to be taken, kept saying I need the code of the app I cdnt get with poor signal. There has to be another way to verify this. The meal was over £100,

Our waitress Suzanne was so nice and the food was immense!! They cooked and served very quickly. Overall would recommend!!

Really nice food, and nice staff, went out of their way to make our experience a good one. We had left a jumper at the table and the waiter rushed out to the car park to give it to us.

The very worst welcome we had ever had in a restaurent. This was taken to the point of rudeness. Left without drink or eating as a result.

I have been going to the Beeches for 35 years. I have never encountered such rudeness anywhere as on Tuesday 13th August 16.30. Myfriend and I wandered in to look around. A passing waitress asked if we had booked. When I said no she said 'wait by the desk' - no smile, no welcome just a very brusque instruction. When she came back I said I thought she had been a bit rude. Without looking at me she just said 'apologies', not looking apologetic at all. I said that we both had severe hearing loss and needed a quiet area. She made no acknowledgement or response and escorted us to a the only occupied area in the pub. My friend gestured to a window table and asked could we go there. She snapped at her 'no this one' my friend said she would go the bar and the waitress said 'it's full table service I will take your orders' again very brusque an unwelcoming. We sat for a few minutes and then decided to go somewhere else. I said to the barmaid who was pouring the drinks that we were leaving as the other person was so rude. We went to the Cunliffe Arms where the service was welcoming, friendly, solicitous and accomodating about our hearing disabilities.

4 adults ate here as we were booked into the hotel next door, so convenient. Expected better, but received 3 tasteless, pale, cold steaks. Cold peas. 1 steak returned, the others not all eaten, but desperate, as were very hungry, although wouldn't have fed the steak to a dog. The staff removed the cost of the steak from the bill along with a couple of drinks. The pizza was nice though. The waitress didn't return to ask if we wanted dessert. 🤷‍♀️ The breakfast wasn't much better. The cooked breakfast had poor quality ingredients, the only item that was hot was the fried egg. The fruit juices were disgusting tasting. Overall the interior of the pub is grotty and sticky, there was food on the carpet, small children were allowed to run around. The staff were friendly but a bit scruffy, and I'm not sure that one of the waitresses should have been wearing such long acrylic nails. The hotel is nice, but the pub let's it down. Whitbread could do better.

Arrived late they cleaned a table for us and the staff were very friendly, especially with our young grandchildren, Food hot and service was also fast.

Absolutely lovely pub and very cost efficient, however the young girl serving us was rude and seemed like she really didn’t want to be there , also very slow bringing stuff out like sauces etc to the point my eldest son had to go to the bar and request again

Superb, with a good selection of beers and a nice unpretentious menus; a very friendly place where the Staff happily go out of their way to make you welcome. I visited when the Euro Final was about to kick off and was pleasantly surprised by the support for England (The pub being in Wales). There is ample parking.

Lovely pub grub ideal for families. Gray is a wonderful host and works so hard but has terrific attention to detail. He remembered us from last visit and there must be hundreds of people pass through each day.

Have been on a few occasions and it has been good. However this time the service wasn't as usual. 2 other customers that arrived after us were asked and seved drinks before us and had orders taken. We had to ask for drinks and our order to be taken. Also the staff started to clear our table before everyone had finished eating. Then we were, one again, left and had to ask for the pudding menu. We will return but the staff need to be more attentive and 'read' what is happening on each table instead of just walking past. We had to call the waiter on each occasion as there was no eye contact.

Possibly the most disgusting service I have ever experienced in my life and the worst review I will probably ever write. When the food arrived part of the meal was cold. So we had one meal with a cold burger and chicken and ribs with cold chicken. We also asked for sauce which didn't turn up so one meal had cold chips. All of these items eventually got replaced and we were advised that we would have complimentary sweets. When the bill came they were on the bill and the manager who was absent throughout the whole process told us that because we didn't ask for new meals we would have to pay for the sweets. We advised that we wouldn't have had them if we hadn't been told that they were free. At this stage we said that we would just walk out then at which stage he threatened to call the Police. Absolutely disgusting behaviour. The person at the bar seemed intent on getting angry with the drinks. I've never dealt with such a rude and frankly confrontational manager of an establishment in my life. Just adding some comments because it seems that staff incompetence and rude management is a bit of a theme in this dreadful dump. We will wait to see what the head office has to say about the disgusting service that we received. The description of service local cask ale is incorrect there's one on that certainly isn't local.

Visited while staying at the Premier Inn next door. We had pre-booked a table but we needed to change the time upon arrival. They changed it to earlier which was very kind. When dined it was on a set menu so only had a main and dessert. We had the serliun steak and curry and both were perfectly cooked and delicious. Our desserts were the same and enjoyed equally. We always came the next morning for breakfast. They was a full selection to choose from from continental to full English. Unfortunately I found the poached eggs to be really bland but u can't blame them for that really. All in all the food and service were top notch and would visit again

Walked in and thought that I was undressed, every one was wearing tuxedos, Turns there was a memorial for someone and I was welcome. Good food and dogs are welcome.

The service by one person on the bar was appalling!!!! She had no customer service experience at all and was quite rude!!!! The manager was unprofessional in his approach to the comment that was made to the person serving us. He came over to our table and started to have a go at us for passing a comment to a member of his staff, if that is the standards he is setting for his own staff by acting inappropriate to his customers which was embarrassing as there were lots of people eating and he draw attention by the way he spoke to us all, then he should take a management course himself. When I go out for a family meal I expect good customer service and a friendly atmosphere, not a rude and can not be be bothered attitude. I certainly won't be going there again!!!! Come here because it's cheap and does all you can eat breakfast. That's the only reason. We turned up at 10: 30am on a Sunday and were asked if we had a reservation! We got a table, but had to ask twice for someone to take our order for hot food. The continental breakfast is basically toast, pastries, crumpets and pre-cooked pancakes. There's a queue for the toaster as well as a poor coffee machine. Screaming kids everywhere. I think families come from all around for the cheap food. At 11 pounds all you can eat bacon and eggs, it *is* cheap, but we won't go back.

Fantastic, also the manager Graham he's always so pleasant, the other staff are charming.
