Average fcurry house food. Very busy takeaway service. Staff service in the resturant is dire. From taking the order it to 90 minutes for the main course to arrive. Table service indifferent, the waiting staff don't appear to be trained, beyond clearing a table. Disappointed.

So been going here for years but Saturday was the last straw! Was in good mood,not been out for a while so was looking forward to maahis. Got there 7.15pm and waited a couple of minutes and we where seated at the back in the corner which suited us fine. Manager came over asked us what drink would we like and so took our order for X2 beers and X4 poppadoms as usual. Within minutes drinks came. My wife and I chatted and became concerned that after 20mins no sign of poppadoms . Next minute manager comes over takes our mains order and we tell him still no poppadoms and can we have another drink. 2 mins later drinks arrive. 8 mins later still no poppadoms. By now we are pretty hungry and finally they arrived. After being on the table for one minute our starters arrive so we say no thanks too early as poppadoms only just arrived. That was the last straw and we complained at the bar,too be fair bar manager was polite and did not charge us even though we offered to pay for what we had eaten. Manager,seemed troubled or in pain and not happy. Waiters where fine although I was disappointed they never came to ask us if we had ordered ,only the manager approached us. Decor,needs painting and modernising asap. Radiators rusty and dirty and inside a bit worn. Outside lights useless and more weeds than plants. Food is always STUNNING so it's a real shame to write this review buy black pepper have a new customer. Shame being going maahis for years and we felt hurt to be treated that way as we like the place.😥

We were booked for 16 people and were not disappointed. Could not fault any part of the evening. Staff were very attentive without being intrusive and the food was spot on. So fresh and super tasty. Has to be the best Indian / Bangladesh food I've had in a very long time, echoed by the rest of the party. Will be back very soon. 10 out of 10.

Are here a few years ago and was unimpressed, however it's now under new ownership and it shows. Excellent food, fantastic service, you can see why the car park is full now! This is now my fave local Indian thanks guys!

Today I visited Maahis and was delighted by the exceptional dining experience. The Tandoori Chicken was absolutely delicious, bursting with flavor and perfectly cooked. I have heard a lot of good things about Maahis over the last few years and quite simply it was outstanding. Starter of Onion Bajis were quite simply the freshest and tastiest I’ve had. I ordered a Ceylon Chicken Tikka curry and a couple of Tandoori roti with extra garlic. I ate the lot and would rate that alone as one of my top five mains I’ve put in my mouth. The service was quick and all the food was served hot.. Great staff and prices that put major cities to shame. Stick it on your itinerary.. you won’t be disappointed. I’d happily drive there ( and intend to ) for meals in the future. A round trip of 80 + miles. That says it all.. Thank you

An absolute rip off, I ordered a MUSHROOM masala with green chilli’s it was nothing like a Bangladeshi masala WITH NO MUSHROOMS JUST ABSOLUTELY FULL OF ONIONS!! Please see images below IT WAS FULL OF ONIONS & no mushrooms! I’m so annoyed because it was our first encounter of this highly rated curry house & onions don’t agree with me, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND 😠😡 don’t waste your hard earned money!

Plenty of parking, food was lovely, waiting on staff were very polite, only downside was they didn't have a pudding menu.

Mediocre food and much too busy. Got the distinct feeling tables were double booked and parties were told to wait till seats were avaliable. Decent price for the Sunday buffet, although any saving you make there will be completely destroyed, and then some, by the extortionate price of any drinks.

The staff was rude and provided handwritten bills, which is outdated in the 21st century. Additionally, they appear to be scammers, so check your bills carefully. They added items we didn't order, and when we pointed this out, they were unapologetic and behaved rudely. The service was very slow; we had to remind them numerous times about our food, which wasted nearly an hour at the restaurant. PLEASE DON'T GO.

Went here for tea on a recent work trip. The service was great, the venue itself was fine and very convenient. We had chicken pakora starters and these were excellent and a good portion size! Then bengal duck for main and a peshwari naan. All super tasty food and again decent portion size. My only complaint is poppadoms should be free! Top notch food and wouldn’t definitely recommend as reasonably priced.

Tasty food, friendly staff, nice decor.

Visited early evening yesterday. 6.30pm and tables were filling rapidly. Customers greeted each other as regulars do. Front of house were motoring and kitchen must have been pedal to metal. Food was lovely and service attentive but not overly. Welsh Lamb special is Food of the Gods. The portions were large but they kindly packaged the remainder, which I enjoyed for lunch today.

Booked for the buffet, the place was over booked,extremely busy and was told that they couldn't tell us how long it would be to wait. Walked out in the end and went elsewhere.

I've just celebrated my 70thbirthday with 27 guests they couldn't wait for us to leave after spending nearly £600 pounds very disappointed no shots no thanks

Not the usual curry tonight, had my usual vegetable balti. Would have loved a few vegetables in my curry but it was mainly onions and peppers which I would expect in a balti. The vegetables consisted of a few half centimetre cubes of carrot and the odd pea I also had a small potato , I’m surprised any chef would be happy using frozen mixed vegetables, which I suspect was used tonight, just a pity I had the dregs of the bag. We weren’t offered desserts or coffee or extra drinks so left , will leave a while before returning …….

Can't fault this place. Perfect meals every time I've been there, as a sit in diner or just getting a takeaway. Good choice of meals at reasonable prices...

Food was very nice & tasty. Good value for money. On the downside, the decor inside is a bit dated and very tired inside, the leather seats on chairs were ripped.

Over crowded staff rude and lazy had to ask for plates to be cleared staff just seemed arrogant not intrested would not go back

When we booked a table, we didn’t realise we would be squeezed into a living room. Manager wasn’t nice when we requested a quieter table, we were told that we would have to wait over 45 minutes for a new table when there were clearly customers just about to finish. Obviously they didn’t like the fact that we requested a new table. The first table we were placed at was connected to another table, where a group sat down, we were essentially expected to sit next to strangers? I can’t comment on the food because we didn’t try it. Just a shame the way we were treated by the staff who were not very accommodating to customers. We were willing to spend good money in this establishment. I think they have too many table bookings for such a small room. I’m pretty sure my living room is bigger. I can’t understand the 4* reviews on here, unless the food makes up for it no idea, the customer service certainly doesn’t!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hadn't been here for some time as we moved to Oswestry from Wrexham. Stopped in on way back from a day put. Fantastic as ever. Chicken perfectly moist and excellent spicing of all the dishes. 10 out of 10.

Beautiful food we have been several times, we are new to the area and this is our favourite Indian restaurant, every time We have been the restaurant is full so that says it all even In the week!! The staff work so hard to keep the service up but can be difficult at times with such a busy restaurant and dealing with takeaways but it does not affect the quality or the food. The staff are stretched which does make it difficult to give the customer service it needs. But other than 5 * food !!

Our first visit this evening, and it will certainly not be our last! Service and meal was superb. The menu is extensive, and it was difficult to make a decision of what we should order. Everything on the menu had mouthwatering descriptions, and the mango rose chicken and hash khushboo were both incredible and did not disappoint. Quite possibly the best Indian meal we have ever tasted.

Great meal. A jalfrezi with a goodly amount of sharp heat. Other dishes all good too. Quick and attentive service if you want it (at least for me on my visit) My only suggestion/ request would be to get the families with kids to get them to turn all devices to silent. At least from say 7pm ish. Otherwise it feels a bit like being in a zoo. Tech generally diminishes the human connection in face to face meetups imho!

My friend and I eat at this restaurant every month and have done so for over 5 years now. Why? Because the food is excellent, the service is superb and the waiters are attentive without being obtrusive. There is always a friendly, pleasant atmosphere and the manager always finds time to come over and welcome us with a friendly greeting. In all our visits, we have had no reason whatsoever to feel disappointed in any way. Recommend without reservation - excellent in every way.

Was looking forward to eating here after hearing some positive reviews. Went with a large group to celebrate a birthday. Our meals were ordered in advance. On arrival we ordered our drinks at the bar and headed to our seating area. Poppadoms arrived with some dips, we didn’t know if these were complementary or not as we had no menu or prices and only ordered our main meals. My meal came out first, but instead of brining out any rice it just sat there on the table in front of me getting cold until everyone else received their meals and then I had to wait for the rice, my rice didn’t come out 1st. No exaggeration this was a good ten min wait. Meal was stone cold. So disappointed. No offer of nan bread. No offer of any drinks, had to go to the bar mid meal and waited for far too long while staff handled take aways, at least my curry couldn’t get any colder. Take aways seemed to be their priority. No dessert we’re offered once main meal was complete and a lack of customer service left me feeling very disappointed with this Indian restaurant Went to the bar to pay the bill, only to find out the poppadoms required payment.

The restaurant was booked for 6.30 because there were young children in our group. Waited 15 minutes before any drinks order was taken. We were asked to move down three seats as they wanted the table on the end for somone else, as each of the tables sat four this was never going to work. They finally realised that after we had all moved seats. Food order was taken after the delivery of drinks. Food arrived at 8.30. Curries were tasty but barely warm. Had to go to the bar to order a second round of drinks. Whilst at the bar, being served, the barman decided it was more important to inform the kitchen of a new order. To sum up....customer service poor, food ok. Perhaps more emphasis should be placed on the customers in the restaurant and not on completing take away orders. It would have been quicker to return to the car, phone an order, and pick it up. We were not the only unhappy customers.

We had a large dine in, pre booked, party and our first complaint was a very abrupt waiter making us all move seats unnecessarily after our starters. The main issue though was that we had several small children and had to wait 2 hours for the main course! The children were crying they were that hungry and when the food eventually came, it was luke warm. They had a large amount of pick up take away orders, which they were obviously dealing with before their dine in customers as the take away food was coming out of the kitchen thick and fast, where as table orders were very few and far between. Considering our bill came to over £200 and we had pre booked, I think we should have been priority over any take away orders! I definitely will not be going there again

Nice looking place from outside but disappointing. I was greeted when entering and asked if I would like a table. I said yes for 1. They said just take a seat in waiting area and we will clear a table. It was fairly busy. I waited over 25 minutes while people came past me and were seated to be asked by the same man what you waiting for! I said you’re finding me a seat! Oh ok was the reply follow me and they gave me a table with no real apology. When my order was taken it was done in a very rushed fashion with literally no customer focus. It was all just a bit disappointing and disjointed. The table next to me didn’t get what they ordered. Rice instead of chips and so on. The food itself was lovely and tasty and you can argue maybe it was a bad day I went but to many things were wrong to overlook it.

Exellent menu lots of options .10 of us ate all different dishes and everyone enjoyed them staff were great.

Seemingly the only restaurant we could find open near our hotel on a Monday night! Pleasantly surprised by the good service and quality food. Cute rose too. We arrived around 8pm and were the third of three tables. Waiters did really well to remain friendly towards large obnoxious table in the middle! Lovely touch to leave a bottle of Tia Maria with us at the end! Thanks!

Sunday takeaway for a change and we, it was so good. I had my usual chicken vindaloo which was up to the usual standard, but the wife had a chicken tikka madras for a change. She said it was the best curry she had had in years. Thanks team , especially selim who cooks the food Fantastic finish to a great weekend John& Linda.

We waited absolutely ages to order. It wasn't the best food. It was OK.

Disappointed, maybe it's because we're used to going out for a curry in Liverpool but we expected the standard here to at least match some of the places we used to go. We had the Sunday buffet - a good selection of food but found things to be greasy and not fresh even though it had only opened half an hour before we arrived. Chicken was tough, and spring rolls were soggy, but the curries had flavour and a good amount of meat or veg in them, and the onion bahjis were lovely. however, service was also below par, with staff looking at phones when serving, slow to bring drink / the bill and didn't seem very friendly. I'm also a bit annoyed they charged me a full child's meal for my two year old who barely ate anything.

Aside from the waiter who was questioning his career choices as he served us, it was a really nice meal. Welsh lamb curry was super tender. Nice rice and naan to boot. Conveniently on the a483 with plenty of parking.

Had a takeaway for 4 people. £46.00. very poor. Ordered popadums which came without any dips/ additions whatsoever. Ordered salmon, jalfresi, butter chicken and a lamb dish. Every dish was bland and very disappointing and it will be a long long time before we ever book again.

Never take this place for granted! I come here every week and the standard of the food is 100% each visit. The staff are “ outstanding “ , I have the pleasure of seeing , Callum, toffee, cid, & mamoun, every week and they are a pleasure. Not forgetting selim & leju who are both top chefs, obviously not forgetting goni the boss It’s a pleasure to come here every week, and o will not take the quilt& standard of food for granted John

Typical all you can eat restaurant, nice staff, lovely food. Good rotation of the foods, kids had a lovely time eating cake and ice creme. Great beer, highly recommend!

Located on the a483 Wrexham bypass this is not your typical town curry house. It's next door to a service station but the comparisons stop there. The food is always of a good standard and reasonably priced. Well worth the visit.

Was recommended by a local Hotel, decided to opt for takeaway, was pleasantly greeted on arrival, order was taken swiftly & didn't take long to be ready. Had Onion Baja's, Chicken Biryani, Mushroom Baja's with Keema & Peshwari naan. Food was excellent & when next in the area will be visiting again
