What a massive disappointment, how is that place still open. Seats were ripped and sticky, table was stickier than 3m tape. Food was bland almost like the chef had given up.

Great service and went out of their way to make our little family holiday extra special. Even when it was busy at times the staff were brilliant. Jenette and Lucie deserve admirable mentions as their service was top notch and made my kids feel so welcome. Sam (the manager) deserves extra credit and praise (and possibly a pay rise!) for the way the place is run and seems to always be there to make sure operations are run as smoothly as they can be and you can tell he really cares to make sure the customer experience is as great as it possibly can be.

Been here a few times now and can highly recommend it. Very clean, the staff are friendly, and all the food we ordered was absolutely lovely. Nice place for a family get together. Well done to the chef, who is apparently called Peter, the food was spot on. 👌

Great venue, decor is in a very country rustic style. Love coming in here. Some of the chairs need a recovering as split leather seats. However, biggest problem is the 3 hour parking limit, could have stayed longer (&spent more) but nope, parking had run out 🤷🏻‍♀️. Howv

Took my husband and 2 children here for lunch. Ordered a glass of red which was off, the waitress kindly swapped for a new glass (but still tasted strange). Kids food was fine, but coleslaw that came with husband's burger was off and has a strange smell. This was off putting, waitress was great with customer service but overall experience not great. Will not be going again.

Always come here with our friends when we want a good quality Sunday roast, but unfortunately this time all 4 meals arrived cold, service was still great and food quickly taken back but unfortunately after an obvious quick microwave still was only luke warm and now lost its fresh taste as it tasted like a ready meal, soft Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes. I have reviewed here previously and always give 5 stars, as it’s very clean, has great service and most importantly the food good quality and hot but unfortunately today the food was the big let down. As it wasn’t exceptionally busy with plenty of staff there was t any reason why the food should arrive cold. We’ll steer clear for a while now and maybe return in a few months, hopefully things will go back to previous visits but cant recommend on this occasion.

Appalling treatment by the manager! I advised the waitress I was not happy with my food and said that I was not happy to pay full price. The manager come over to me accusing me of complaining every time I visit, which is 100% not the case! Accused me of being at another table on another occasion and complaining, definitely was not me! When I confronted him about the mistaken identity he told me to get out and never visit again! I have sent an email of complaint to Whitbread, over 1 week ago and have not had any response. Absolutely appalling behaviour by a manager to a customer, in front of others on a busy Saturday afternoon.

We had a meal deal from the premier inn next door to the beefeater. We came and had dinner the night before and breakfast today . The two staff who were working were both polite helpful and friendly food was hot and nice and drinks hot too the place was clean too. So was the toilets They also got a garden you can sit outside in .

I came here this weekend for my sunday lunch after the recomendation from a friend of mine. Can honestly say couldnt fault the experiance. Fantastic service, great veg options avalible from the buffet bar and good value.

Hard to criticise and in the same breath equally hard to praise. I found the staff generally uninterested. The decor is fine. The food I believe struggles compared to other sites of the same brand. Overall ultra average.

I have to say that we have used this restaurant on several occasions now and it is one of the best that we have come across for catering for allergies and knowing what is in their food.

We had some vouchers offering 40% off main meals so my wife and I decided to give it a go on a Monday after a very busy day. It was quiet when we arrived but we were seated very close to a large group who were rather noisy. With the amount of empty tables we could have been offered some where alittle quieter. We went straight to mains and I had mixed grill my wife had lamb rump. The mixed grill was huge and generally good but the steak was perhaps a bit rubbery but was edible. My wife said the lamb was good. Service was friendly so all in all was ok.

The food in this establishment is appalling. The seafood pasta looked and tasted like something that you would buy in a really cheap supermarket and microwave it. The vegetarian lasagne tasted as bad as it looked. It feels like a cheap dinner.

I was able to use a discount code on a Saturday night which was rare as these are normally weekdays only

Came here on the 26th of september for my sons birthday. We went straight for mains i had the mixed grill which was cooked really well. The rest of my family all enjoyed the meals as well. Desserts were lovely. Our waitress was very good as well as the manager that sat us. All in all will be comming back again soon.

I have been here a few times since it changed over to a Beefeater. The times I came here before, I think the whole family thought the food was all ok. Nothing special, but acceptable for what you pay for. I'm going to make a review of tonight's dinner. I was prompted to come as I received a special offer for 40% of my mains. We didn't actually use this offer as we had the Daytime Menu instead. The garlic bread had virtually no garlic butter on it. It wasn't toasted very much either compared to the other times we have had in different branches over the course of 20 years we have visited Beefeater. It was anaemic looking and was tasteless. I had to ask for extra garlic butter to be brought to the table. This wasn't a problem and it was brought to us promptly. My son and I ordered Sirloin steak. It was so bland and tasteless. It tasted like something you would cook at home and had bought the cheapest steak. We were literally chewing but no taste of meat or ANY flavouring, that is after putting the garlic butter on it (leftover from earlier). It was cooked well and the chips were good. My daughter and I ordered the brownie, it too tasted bland. It was very appealing in its appearance, but it was so flavourless, and so was the ice cream that went with it. We spent over £50 for one of the most blandest, tasteless meals we've ever experienced. It is one of the worst Beefeaters experiences we have had. We won't be coming back unfortunately. I so want to love this branch as it is so close to home and easy access, but what is the point of paying for food that is tasteless. The service was good and the servers are friendly. But this cannot make up for such horrific bland food. I am also unhappy that you can no longer order free refills on soft drinks if you want the "fat" version. You can only get free refills if you order diet. I don't mind paying a little bit more because of the fat tax, but not actually offering "fat coke" as free refills, is really off-putting and in my view, is biased against people who like non aspartame in their drinks.

Ok is about the best you can say about this restaurant..the only reason I gave it 4* was the service ..a very friendly lady..the food was not up to scratch....although prices are cheap..would rather pay more for quality.

Had high expectations for this place but won’t come back again. Ordered the mixed grill, the chicken was essentially a block of rubber and was cold. Can easily tell it is thrown in the microwave. This has gone completely down hill. Staff looked bored and not interested in any guest , food terrible. This place used to be great for breakfast with table service, they have now made it buffet and it kills it completely . Bacon overcooked, sausages overcooked , scrambled eggs for of shells. Fruit selection pathetic. Also you need to ID your KIDs to make sure they are under 16 , absolutely ridiculous. Charged £19 for a load of rubbish, could not complain as the staff were busy eating their breakfast . Should have gone to a local café for an all round better experience. This place is a rip off , do not go

Stayed in the Premier Inn for three nights and dined in the adjacent Beefeater. Breakfast was very good each morning, good hot food and poached eggs cooked to order as was porridge and boiled eggs.
