Poor food, over priced, A regular not coming back! Expect to pay more than it says in the menu! Left hungry and angry and feeling ripped off!

A beautiful service beautiful fresh food restaurant quality if your having a takeaway even if your unsure about a dish the manager always caters to your needs would highly recommend 😀

Pleasant and helpful staff, varied menu, access upstairs a little difficult, parking on streets around, but not always close by

Ordered 2 x currys bhargi s was soggy in middle dhaal was like soup and khari was like uncle bens paste never again chef wants sacking 37 pound full of onion lol told me on phone less onion now new chef lol binned the lot

Can’t comment on the food as I never got to try it! What an absolute sheet show! Ordered food to collect and was told 30 minutes. . Nearly 90 minutes later I’m still sat waiting for my food, several tables have walked out and they’re just ignoring the phone at this point. I’m sorry but if you can’t fulfill orders don’t take them. The owner says they’re really busy which is fine and fair enough but don’t take my order and many others if you can fulfill them, it will just result in a negative experience and negative feedback. Now on the hunt for a replacement takeaway at 9pm. . Thanks

BIG TIME!! ordered On the phone Small mild chicken curry for my 4 year old nephew Large lamb burner enough for x2 people 1 polar rice and 6 chapatis Salad and sauce I asked on the phone the totla coat of the price and was told £23.00 When the delivery guy came he added an extra tenner on, I told the divery man we was told it was £32. NOT HAPPY TAKES THE PISS!! Sort your management/ drivers out scammers peoples pockets out of order!!!!

First time ordering from here. I ordered the staffs mutton curry which was so tuff an chewy it was a waste of money. I will not be ordering from here again 😒

The food is great, the service can't be faulted, the prices to our mind are very reasonable and they have now had a redecoration so it just gets better. Keep it up guys.

Me and my son went out for tea, service was great. Really friendly. The food was really good. Lovely flavours. Chips were really good as well lol. It is a bring your own booze restaurant. So if you want a drink 🍸 bring it. They have cans of pop available.

I have been a loyal customer for 15 years to this restaurant Until my last visit Were, unfortunately we have to complain about the food to the restaurant owner After receiving the bill we paid the bill and left. Very disappointed. On our arrival home we realise we have been overcharged From what we normally would pay I’ve been questioned the bill, the restaurant owner contact with myself regarding the food explaining they’ve got a kitchen issues no offer of a refund will not be attending this restaurant in the future. You’ve lost a loyal customer yeah

Great little gem . We was recommended this place by our friends . So glad we tried the curry’s . Best curry around huddesfield area we’ve been to. Had chicken n spinach and a Balti Dish recommended by the chef 👨🏻‍🍳. So tasty hot propa curry. Would highly recommend Taaj restaurant. The staff so friendly had a good laugh with the staff .

I phoned the day before to see if they catered for celiacs (gluten free) and the gentleman seem really nice and stated they did, however just ask on arrival. Unfortunately we got stuck with an older man who's waiter skills was very poor. He was very helpful and I felt like I was a inconvenience. He told me to "just eat it ull be fine". I informed him it isn't a choice its not good for my health in which he stated his family have gluten free and they have the poppadoms and are fine. I asked if they are fried in the same oils as foods containing gluten and he just srugged his shoulders and said i dont know ? This made me feel isolated and a nuisance. He didn't know about food contamination nor wasn't Interested. I won't bother again. Its ashame because the other staff seemed nice. Just ashame we got stuck with him who had a very strange sense of humour and poor customer service skills. I don't know why he works there because clearly he is bored and uninterested.

You have to try the £12.50 four course meal. Poppadoms & pickle tray, starter, main -with curry,rice, chapattis or naan followed by ice cream. Bring your own alcohol. Top service from. Ali & Hari. You can't go wrong !!!!

A poor attempt at a curry, undercooked chapati and the onion bhajis were very greasy and had a chemical taste to them. Couldn't recommend as with most takeaways these days just in it for the money.

Came across this place quite by accident, really friendly help full staff, really good food, and amazing value.

Just randomly ordered from here and the owner Ali brightened up our night with his outstanding customer service comedic value and phone banter . Had me and our Lass in stitches . Also the food was excellent. Ali is his name and curry is his game !

2 hours for delivery to arrive. Starters, naan and sundries were nice, but main dish was poor. Tasted like it had been made with a jar of curry mix. Very disappointing considering if you eat in it's fantastic. No more takeaways from Taaj.

Having recently moved to Milnsbridge i was told to try the Taaj. Tried it last night and ordered.. Saag Pannier, coconut rice and onion basis. Absolutely amazing tasting food, one of the best and the delivery driver was very friendly and even walked up 3 flights if stairs 🤣 twice 🤣🤣👌 See you next time..

Curry was beige in colour, colourless and tasteless, I had a small taste yuk! I don't know what was in it, but it went straight in the bin. Never again

This place never disappoints. Had a takeaway from here the other weekend and food was just amazing. Arrived on time was piping hot and the fish and chicken pakoras were best ever! Not to mention the onion bhajis 😋😋 Can't wait to be back eating in!

We ordered a takeaway and was quite disappointed with the food. We have been to this restaurant many times and the food has always been great but tonight the food was greasy, watery and lacked flavour. Very sad, don't think we will order from here again.

Visited Taaj with my two sons and we had a fabulous meal tonight! I had Chicken lahore karahi and it was simply delicious and maybe the best curry I've ever had. This was after a beautiful lamb tikka starter that was also fantastic. Def recommend this place and will be going back soon, staff brilliant also

Excellent, my only criticism would be that they don't have real coffee, that's pretty minor. Food and service as stated at the start. Oh, it's unlicensed so take your own.

1st time we have orded from here, delivery was quick milnsbridge to almondbury the food is great and couldnt fault it only thing i could point out maybe samosa could be normal size (bigger) but no problem at all will visit shortly for a family meal thanks

Nice curry shared with great company. Friendly and attentive staff. Thursday and Sunday nights are happy nights with a great selection 4 course meal for only £9.95 per person. Portion sizes were a bit smaller than the other curry restaurant nearby but the decoration is loads better. Well worth a visit!

What a shame. Had a couple of quite nice takeaways but usual story and 2 mixed kebabs we got last were inedible! The "lamb" (more like mutton) couldn't be cut through even with steak knives! I thought the first piece i tried was bone it was that hard but all the "lamb" was the same. Top that with a rough-cut half cooked old onion in each kebab I wont ever be coming back here.

Went with my son who lives locally. We were greeted like long lost friends and quickly shown to "a very special table". The manager was very affable and amusing without being over the top. The menu is quite extensive and I was tempted to try something a bit more unusual and I'm glad I did. Overall the food was very well cooked and the service excellent. Lots of customers for a Monday evening and judging by our experience the popularity is well deserved.

Surprisingly Good. We ate at the Sunday under £10 menu and can't fault it. I'll go back and try the full menu. Bangladesh style menu worth a visit and make your own mind up. Staff charming and helpful - smiles all round. I'll be back.

October 2018: I was a little nervous about eating here due to reading a few negative reviews online. However, I was invited there by friends therefore the location was not my choice. Fortunately the owners seem to have addressed many of the issues raised as we all had a good evening & all four different main dishes, plus the starters (one type), were all finished off & received positive comments all round. I confess to not being a food connoisseur therefore cannot comment in great detail about the food. I will say that it was all very tasty without being too spicy hot but with enough spice to satisfy me. There was a distinct difference in flavours between the different meals which is not always perceptible at some curry restaurants (usually due to over intense heat from the spice). Within our group we had chapattis, naan bread & rice; all three accompaniments were enjoyed though none were singled out for great praise. The music issue has clearly been addressed as it was on at a very low volume & only noticed when the room became quiet. I found the atmosphere created by the soft lighting and low volume music perfect for evening dining with friends. The wait times between courses must have been just right as I did not notice them despite being there for just over 3 hours (which came as a surprise when realised due to the benefit of good company). Our final course was coffee & at no time did we feel rushed to leave by the staff. The waiting staff were very polite & attentive without being intrusive. We had no cause to complain about anything therefore I cannot comment how they deal with any issues raised. My friends had been there before, therefore they obviously recommend The Taaj to others, & my partner & I do too now.
