Each time we have ordered from this restaurant the food has been really hot and nice, the duck rice with the sauce on is my favourite as it's beautiful, melts in the mouth and goes great with most things This is our go to chinese food place after changing from another which ended up being disgusting, Great food!

Ordered the crispy beef, duck in plum sauce and Singapore rice noodles. Came to about 21 quid after delivery. The duck was tough and I don't know what the sauce was, but it was very watery and definitely not plum. I would avoid getting food from here there are plenty of better Chinese takeaways in the area.

Had ordered 2 times from them. First time I had sweet shredded beef (6 or 7 quid) the tub came half empty, decided to give the duck in plum sauce (container came with 12 SMALL and sum crumbs prices of duck and the sauce in a different small tub in the container with the duck). EXTREMELY disappointed in this place. I WARN you to not order from this place is way to expensive and food is near none existent lol. At 6.20 the duck this is the amount.....

I've main takeaway I've used in Stafford as when I first moved here it was the one of the 3 most local to my flat (but having tried the other two which are even nearer, I wouldn't bother again), but from both going in to order/pick up or delivery they've always been timely and the food is good. After I moved to another part of town I continue to order online here even though there are nearer establishments to my new house, but they don't have facility to order online so I haven't explored any further, but as I've always had good food from here that not real issue. I generally judge my Chinese takeaways by its chow meins and Yuk Sungs and these have been good. Good portion sizes too.

1hr 40 later I’m still waiting for the order. Phoned the restaurant and spoke to a girl who couldn’t care less. For a £60 order I expect better service. Absolutely awful.

We ordered our takeaway at 8.55pm eta 9.45pm. I called the restaurant at 10.00 pm chasing the food, they said it would be 25 minutes, probably hadn't even started cooking it. Although hungry I cancelled the order, gone past it! Won't trust them to deliver ever again. She said they were busy. Not good enough. Who wants to wait an hour and a half for a takeaway, thought it was supposed to be fast food.

Terrible service from ordering online and very average food. My recommendation would be to look for somewhere else to have an actuak enjoyabke meal.

We ordered a take away on a Saturday and expected them to be busy. We weren't surprised when they suggested that it would be 50-60 minutes delivery. After 65 minutes we rang to ask where our take away was. We were told that the delivery driver would be another 5-10 minutes before returning to the store. We thought that the meal would be with us in about 20 minutes so after another 30 minutes (One and a half hours after ordering) we called again to be told that the driver hadn't turned up but we could collect if we wished. This is not acceptable and we will not be using this take away again.

Excellent really tasty food. Had a mixture of meat and vegetarian dishes and all were good. Only problem was really slow delivery, taking 45 minutes longer than the estimate. Will use again though.

Way to salty especially the chow mein

This is the third time my delivery has resulted in broken packaging. This time the soup cartons had been smashed and the contents spilled throughout the rest of the food. Food is ok, but if your drivers can't keep the food as it's intended then you either need to tell them to drive better, get better drivers, or secure the food better. Getting VERY annoying now when 50% of your order is inedible.

Min order gone up by £3 which is difficult for someone who orders just for themselves. But food is still brill.

Delivery driver is excellent, food is really good.

The food was good as I have come to expect from Szechuan house, but the delivery driver had difficulty finding us and could not be made to understand simple directions leading to considerable frustration!

chow mein really nice but as for the curry from here is disgusting the sauce is nothing at all like a curry sauce in colour and taste and the taste is like a watered down gravy like not nice at all

Squif was very greasy and rice tasted like it had been reheated. Rest was just ok.

Could not ask for a better service food was great and bang on time no messing about.

Best Chinese takeaway in Stafford!

We ordered from this one because our usual play was shut, but we won't be doing it again. Rice was overcooked and greasy, main courses seemed under cooked and very salty. Disappointing.

I ordered chicken in black bean but recieved beef nice meal but i dont eat beef so had to remove all beef and just eat the sauce

All meals had a salty taste, the chips was nice with chilli etc but never again, ultra saltiness to the 3 different dishes we had

Ordered a family chinese takeaway from this restaurant, nicely priced, decent time for delivery, ordered the chicken and sweetcorn soup for starters highly recommend it a very tasty chicken packed soup, house special blackbean really nice, chicken Szechuan good too had a real nice hotness to it which for a Szechuan is good, only slight downside the prawn crackers were going stale but can't complain to much as these were free, all said and done good experience cheers

I've moved around quite often so have tried a lot of different places, this is without doubt the best hot & sour soup I have ever tasted, well done Szechuan house!

The omelette was overloaded with onion , considering it was mushroom, and the omelette was a funny colour . The crispy chicken was also full of onions , not one of there best ,will have to look else where

We ordered beef with cashew nuts but what we had wasn't beef. Looked like chicken to me.

Food was in very poor quality, chicken curry was a green colour sweet and sour chicken balls were mostly batter not chicken overall food order very disapointing will be ordering from another place in future !!

Service was prompt. However the ribs i recieved were essentially bone in plum sauce. The chicken balls were slightly pink, which didnt really appeal. And the satay sauce resembled brick morter. All in all, i wouldnt order again.

Really poor, customer service non existent, order came one was a meat chow mein instead of veg, ribs were very poor, have had a take away many times from here will not again as extremely poor customer service, mistakes happen but very poor service when they do. Worst with have ever dealt with.

Late by 20 mins, food was warm, had to use microwave to warm it up.And one of the sauce containers was crushed, so had sause all over the containers in the delivery bag, delivery lady pointed this out,but left. The meal said it all,won't be coming back.

We regularly have a take away from Szechuan House and I can honestly say that we have never had a bad meal from them. The kids love the sweet and sour chicken or the duck chow mien and my husband and I have tried lots of different meals from here and really have never had anything that we haven't thoroughly enjoyed. We had friends over a couple of weeks ago for a take away who had never eaten from Szechuan House before and they said they loved it and would definitely go there the next time they have a take away. I think the empty plates all round paid testament to that anyway! The lady who takes your order there is really friendly and so helpful, she is such a lovely lady and always asks how we all are even though we have only been in a few times as we usually use their delivery service (which is excellent too by the way, usually comes within half an hour of ordering and is piping hot). She always gives the children a pot of ice cream each, which is only a small gesture I know but they don't have to do this do they. She explains exactly what each dish is if you ask for advice and even makes things up for you that aren't on the menu if you ask. The price of the food isn't too expensive either. We usually have 4 main meals with rice and chips and it averages between about 20-25 pounds I'd say, which for what you get is pretty good I think and the portion sizes are really decent. Lovely food and lovely people at a good price. What more could anyone ask for.
