Lovely atmosphere refreshing change from the average coffee shop. Great value breakfast I had the porridge loads of fresh fruit topping my partner had the smoked salmon with perfectly cooked poached eggs. Exceptional coffee staff were very friendly will definitely be back again

I was served an excellent coffee so much better than the usual mediocre fare served in some of the large chains a pleasant and welcome change also I had a simple bacon n egg sandwich which was delicious as the bacon was of a decent quality and the egg was runny as requested all served by a young lady who was as efficient as she was welcoming. I will definitely be returning as haven’t been here in ages

Outraged. This type of subtle racism has never happened to me in London before. I am London born and bred, but I am not white. The English assistant refused to understand what I was saying. I have a normal London accent, I went to the 6th best uni in the world and am employed as a civil servant, yet, the assistant could not understand what an 'English Breakfast' was when I enquired, or so she claimed. Having repeated these 2 words at least 8 times, each time more and mire clearly, she still had no idea what I was saying and looked at me blankly. It was only when my white husband said the exact same thing 'ENGLISH BREAKFAST' that she suddenly understood. She then proceeded to only speak to him and show him the breakfast sandwich menu, completely cutting me out of the conversation. I can only put this down to being too dark for her time and attention - as my hubby spoke in exactly the same way as me. Remember that 'Little Britain' character who ran the weight-watchers club- that was exactly like the reception I got here. Many other places to dine within a few mins walk - don't waste your time here.

I regularly order from this cafe on ubereats. Their sandwiches are very tasty and good quality! Especially the BLT ciabatta(go for additional avocado) and also the English breakfast with sunny side ups in a ciabatta! The beetroot smoothie is also very nice. The only thing I worry is their hygiene rating its only 3. (Considering their food and drinks i was surprised, was expecting 5). Something the cafe should work on i guess......

We accidentally discovered this little gem whilst looking for a quick coffee and a treat before heading for Heathrow airport. Syon is a small, quirky little coffee shop with friendly staff. Their coffee, by British standards, is pretty good and they have a good awareness of people with food intolerances. We didn't partake in the fod offerings but the menu suggested you wouldn't be disappointed.

I attended with a few of my friends on a last minute decision to grab some lunch whilst I was down on a visit. We happened to stumble upon Syon coffee house. It was a weekday, but fairly busy, which is why we stopped! We ordered a blt (with mushrooms), halloumi wrap and a prawn wrap (can’t remember the official names!). The food was divine! Especially those mushrooms, yum! We really thoroughly enjoyed the food, and the atmosphere of the shop and the way it is decorated is lovely. We also ordered some coffees as it is indeed a coffee shop, and wow. The last time I’ve tasted a coffee that good was in Italy, the quality and taste was just amazing. We ordered a mocha, a white Americano (which the milk was given on the side which I loved, I find it a lot better when I can pour my own measurements in), a mango exotic type smoothie (heavenly) and I was tempted to order a cappuccino, which I really enjoyed. This is a small business clearly (it was very small but homely!) but they definitely make up for it in terms of staffing and atmosphere and quality of food/beverages. The two staff we had met were lovely, and the young girl that served was very friendly and polite. I like that we were offered a big bottle of chilled water to share, and that the staff ensured that we had everything that we needed and that we were satisfied with our visit. I definitely was, all staff/management should be very happy. Too bad I was only down for a visit so I won’t be able to come back , but I would definitely recommend.

Went for brunch today and the service was ridiculously slow. We waited at the counter to order for 10 minutes before we were told someone would come outside to take our order. Ten minutes later no one had come so we went inside again. Our food was very slow to arrive and I actually ran up to Sainsbury’s to buy our son a sandwich while we waited. The food was fine when it did arrive but our drinks never did. This was our second visit. Service is better when the manager is around (she wasn’t there today) but otherwise staff are disinterested and unmotivated. We won’t be going back.

I have not been in here since the owners changed 2 or 3 years ago. The place is now a cafe serving hot snacks as opposed to a delicatessen. I had a machiato and Halloumi wrap with mushrooms and peppers. The coffee was beautifully made with a large layer of foam which lasted for ages. The wrap was probably the nicest I have ever tasted with masses of filling including lots of cheese and very tasty mushrooms plus the wrap itself was nice and thin. They do soup, quiche and sandwiches plus cakes too. The owners are very friendly.

I was starving when we stumbled upon the place which is usually a state I'm impossible to please but it was easy to choose from the menu as they have everything we like eating. I picked the warm halloumi, pepper, avocado salad which was very well made and absolutely delicious. My other half had the smoked salmon ciabatta and he was very happy with it too. Decided to post a review as I have visited twice in the last few months and both visits were disappointing. The actual café is pleasant and nicely decorated with a nice outdoor area. However, this place is overpriced and always has been. It's in Isleworth not Richmond or Chiswick. Reasonable prices would be welcome. The owner has got the business model of just using high margins. This will succeed up to a point but alienate ordinary people. £3.50 for small lukewarm soya latte for instance. Come on guys.Staff weren't exactly friendly. First visit, they bordered on rude. They didn't like where I positioned my chair and told me so. Despite the place being empty.Attitude was that they were doing me a favour.Affluent people who can spend £7 for a bowl of salad is their only saviour. This is a small business that deserves to fail i'm afraid.

Both were delicious, they are made fresh as you order. For drinks we had an Americano a flavoured tea and still water. For the three of us the bill came to £21 which was good. The food was fantastic, reasonably priced and filling. The service is as friendly as it gets. Two breakfasts, a large cup of coffee, a Diet Coke and a bottle of water for the table for less than £20.There are only six tables inside, so I'd imagine you'd have to be lucky during busy periods but we think it would be worth the wait. The food, coffee, service and atmosphere are first class and you can find us in there at every given opportunity. Phillipa and Nick have done an amazing job and are never too busy to come over and see how we are. My only wish is that they opened for dinner! As for the negative reviews...shame on you, and all because you can't wheel your huge buggies around in the cafe! If you'd had a bad meal and terrible service (which I am sure would never happen), fair enough, but leaving a bad review about space they don't have...not cool.

Those who criticise this establishment because they cannot bring their huge buggies inside just to spend an age over a coffee while allowing their precious little darlings to drop food eveywhere are being most unfair. As a regular I know that the owners and staff are welcoming to all but they do have limited space and a business to run. Most Mums and children seem to love it, unfortunate that a few moaners expect to be able to spoil it for others.

Syon is a beautiful little coffee house serving some of the best coffee around. The food is always great and the owners/proprietors are never too busy for a catch up with the customers. The staff are friendly and attentive and never hurry or harass you. BUT the place is not huge so space is at a premium and managed very well with a number of tables for 2 and a couple of tables for 4 including an outside covered area for al fresco dining. Having read the negative comments I can only conclude that those people suffered very poor spatial awareness as it is blindingly obvious that a pushchair/pram will not fit inside among the tables.I have visited on quite a few occasions with my noisy roustabout of a 3 year old and never ever been made to feel unwelcome. So in conclusion, great service, great food, possibly the best coffee BUT not a lot of room for the £800 "luxury baby travel system" that is way too precious to leave 8 feet away outside on the pavement.

Let me start this review with some disheartened dismay, some of the negative reviews are vexatious, and do not represent the Syon that my grandchildren (ranging from 14 years to 3 months) and I have enjoyed over the past few years. Nick, Philippa and their staff have consistently provided top class services and have always accommodated us no matter what the circumstance.Right! now to the food and service. Their coffee and tea are first rate (including my usual £1.50 takeaway on my way to work) the kids love their scrambled egg and toast plus their hot chocolate with Alisha always being topped up with extra marshmallows in a little glass cup by the side. My BLT, or more latterly, my Cumberland sausage sandwich fills me up for the day. The soup of the day is always a pleasant surprise, the pastries are first rate and always fresh, as is all of the food.As for the service, free internet, lovely surroundings, pleasant and highly professional staff in a meticulously clean and safe environment where could a Granddad go wrong?I am happy to give the Syon 5 stars, six if I could. But don’t listen to me or others just give it a go.

Syon sells quality coffee and good food in a nice, stylish atmosphere. It has been a great addition to Isleworth and hopefully we'll see more from these guys - London needs more independent businesses like this. The place is tiny, though, so be prepared to be asked to park your giant stroller and sit with your kid on your knee. That way, you wont need to get all upset and review the place on Tripadvisor and give it 1/5; that would be pointless.Well done, Syon. Hope to see Syon II somewhere soon!

I only wanted to get a coffee to takeaway as I was in the middle of walking my baby for his nap. I entered the 'completely empty' coffee shop and was immediately told I wasn't allowed in with a buggy. Once I said I only wanted a takeaway, staff attitudes changed immediately. My main complaint was the abruptness - no politeness at all. And no attempt to explain why - i understand from a previous post you would have served me had i waited outside - but I wasnt told this. It is the only cafe I have entered with my son where I have been made to feel unwelcome. I wont be going back.

Despite previous negative reviews we went to the coffee shop this afternoon and found the staff really friendly and accommodating. Good selection of food but we decided to just have coffee & cakes. Delicious! The two members of staff could not do enough to make our visit welcome. Kieran was especially helpful. We were not rushed and had a delightful visit. If in the area again we would surely return (without a push chair). A child free zone is very rare these days ;-)

Went here for lunch on a weekday with my newborn daughter asleep in her push chair, which I'd parked next to our table. When two customers came and sat on the table next to us, I was quickly and rather over firmly asked by a member of staff to move her outside the bounds marked by the cafe barriers, further on to the pavement and away from us. When I objected the staff member reluctantly moved the boundary barrier so we could still have her chair next to us, and not being in the path of other pedestrians. The frosty service continued after we had finished our food and paid, when the staff hovered by our table as though to say your time is up, please move on. Food was average, neither peppers or chorizo were hot in a panini, but with a small local place my expectations of a warm welcome are the highest priority, sadly this hasn't been the case on the few occasions I've been here.

Met up with 2 friends for tea and coffee in June and this was how my friend was greeted. We were given some excuse about space but it was the afternoon and only 2 other people in it. Tea was ok and reasonably priced but being a new mum will not return due to staff's rudeness. There are plenty more baby friendly cafes we will frequent

Syon is the only coffee shop that I class as a REAL coffee shop in Isleworth. I go there frequently with my daughter and friends alike, the owners have always been really pleasant and friendly. The food is yummy and reasonably priced so I would definitely recommend this coffee shop :)

Syon is by far the best café in the area serving excellent coffee and a good selection of freshly prepared food from snacks to generous meals. The standards are very high in regard to cleanliness, décor and service, and the café is well run by friendly owners with attentive staff. The owners are hard working and remarkably patient, even when selfish young mothers insist on bringing in their super sized buggies and allowing their children to behave badly. Such inconsideration is unfair on other customers and the owners who have limited space in this first class establishment.

This is the best coffee for miles in Isleworth. I found this place while with friends on a walk. The coffee is real italian coffee and one of the best I tried in the area. They use real italian coffee beans from Kimbo. I had breakfast with my mates and the scrambled eggs are good with anchovies, bacon or smoked salmon and capers. They also have baked cakes and sweets and croissants. Cakes are all baked at home. There is an excellent choice of panini done with real ciabatta bread and I am totally addicted to their Spicy beans soup. Their quiches are excellent value and the atmosphere nice. The place is kept spotless and the service is prompt and corteous.

Very nice place - smart, friendly, lovely coffee and cakes/snacks - plus freshly prepared Ciabattas, soups, salads and more. Well worth a visit - and contrary to one review on here we found them really welcoming to us and our new baby. They clearly don't have room for buggy bases though so I guess a little common sense is required :-)

I'm not the only new mum to have been turned away because I had the baby in a buggy. Thus place used to be great, but new policy is family unfriendly.

Very pleasant, fairly priced, well constructed menu and excellent feel to the whole operation. Only been once but if we were back close by in need of a pit stop or snack meal we would come in again.

Situated in the midst of a couple of short parades of independent shops, the Syon Cafe has a good location for passing trade, but listening to people around me, has clearly gathered a loyal following. Dropped in here for breakfast and was very impressed. The ethos seems to be simple tasty food using high quality fresh ingredients. I had an Americano (Kimbo coffee, which I've never come across before but will look for now!), scrambled eggs with bacon on toasted ciabatta. They also brought a bottle of Isleworth's Finest (tap water) to the table as a matter of course. Staff are friendly and genuine - I ordered a coffee for a friend who was joining me and when she was delayed they came and took it away and replaced it when she arrived without charging for it. Inside it is quite small but rather than feeling cramped it makes it seem friendly and there is a small outside seating area which was being well used on a sunny morning. Judging by how busy it was, it is obviously what Isleworth has been needing for some time.

I went to a florist next door and I saw this cute little cafe, so my finance and I went there for a light lunch. I was so amazed by their amazing selection of tea! They use good quality Tea Pigs tea bags. Stuff was very friendly and the price was very reasonable. I would love to go there again when I am in the neighbourhood.

Syon is a fantastic coffee house which we stumbled across whilst visiting friends in the area. What a find! I have to say that they serve the best coffee I have ever tasted (and I would consider myself a coffee-aholic!) Knocks the spots off the big high street names! The amazing array of cakes is also to die for! The menu offers a tasty selection of fresh salads and ciabattas. We visited one saturday morning and had the most fantastic scrambled egg and bacon served on fresh ciabatta. Worth going out of your way for! Trust me!

I love this place, I'm a regular visitor at Syon and the coffee is amazingly good! It has a relaxing and friendly atmosphere and the owners Nick and Phillipa do make you feel welcome. The freshly is prepared food and there's lots of it with a great selection of delicious cakes and every now and then I'll try a Tea Pigs tea, one of my favourites is the liquorice and peppermint... It's definitely worth a visit!

Absolutely love this place - it makes such a refreshing change from the large coffee shop chains. It serves really good quality coffee in a relaxed and friendly environment. The menu is not huge, but the food freshly prepared, of a high standard and reasonably priced. Great scrambled eggs, ciabattas, soups, salads and cakes to die for! Staff are really friendly and the extra touches like the box of rugs in case it's chilly if you are sitting on the outside chairs are why this is such a popular local venue. Thoroughly recommend a visit!

What a little find. Arrived as they was cleaning down and closing. Lovely gentleman reopened just for us for which we were very grateful. Bread that we took home was some of the best I think I’ve ever had. Wish I lived nearer.

Rhythm & Brews was (and is) my FAVOURITE coffee shop in London. I lived in London in 2018 just around the corner in Chiswick and it was my staple. Food, coffee and staff are super friendly. I visited again in 2022 and went there to reminisce for old time sake. I will be buying their coffee beans and getting them posted back to Australia, I love the coffee that much.

Small, but with a lovely selection of cakes which always taste fresh and delicious. The price for tea and coffee is a but cheaper than the big franchises too
