My partner and I visited Swirlz for National Ice Cream Day! We had a seat outside, and enjoyed our ice creams. My partner was given his ice cream at the till point, whilst I had around a 10-15 minute wait for my waffles, by which time Matt had finished his ice cream. It would have been better for them both to have been served together. We disn’t see anywhere on their Facebook that they did a doggy gelato. If we had been aware of this, we would have taken our puppy along.

Huge variety of gelato and cones available even on a hot Saturday afternoon. The staff were very polite and friendly even though they were very busy and the queue was out the door. The gelato was delicious as always!!

Absolutely lovely drink and jacket potato with cheese and beans,had soup another day and it was delicious.Grace and her mum go out of there way to help me as I have disability issues.The ice cream is out of this world,well done to Grace,s husband for making the delicious flavours.Well done to you all and thank you.Please if your in the area come and check this lovely place out.

We normally go for ice cream,which is delicious. Today a chilly January morning, but lovely and warm inside. Coffee and panni which was really tasty . Great friendly service as always. Great place to visit if in the area

Excellent choice of ice cream flavours or you could have a smoothie, milkshake, etc. Staff we polite, helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our ice cream sitting out the front watching the world go by in the lovely town of Plockington.

An impromptu visit to Swirls for myself and one other of our party. We both had the milkshakes to take away. Absolutely delicious, freshly made to order.

I recently brought my 2 year old nephew for an ice cream+ my nephew politely asked for a ‘red Spider-Man ice cream’ the young man behind counter was amazing with my nephew and asked if he would like red Spider-Man sauce. What a lovely polite young man!! My nephew loved his ice cream. (Strawberry) and I had a blueberry ripple. Mine was gone in 5 mins. Sorry I didn’t catch your name but thought you deserved a mention!! This is the second time I've brought the kids for ice cream when passing through Pocklington and the second time I've been overcharged? unfortunately my impression on both visits is that this is a local corner cafe used by locals to sit outside smoking and shouting at their friends as they pass by!We sat outside because it was sunny and our ice-cream ended up covered in "fag ash" due to being downwind from a table of chain-smoking old men who would probably be usually sat in a beer garden if open.I can't even say the ice cream is special and quite small portions,wont be back for a third visit!

A litre of delicious ice-cream,, up to 3 flavours in an insulated take-home box, still perfectly frozen after our 10 minute walk home. Most are naturally gluten-free and gluten-free cones also available. Just lovely.

A very good selection of fresh ice creams and a very good hot chocolate, with all the trimmings, were well received after shopping. This establishment is a real gem, and credit to the helpful staff.

the couple that own the Swirlz are very family minded and look after you well you can eat and drink inside our out the also do other food and i hate ice cream but the do have a great selection a great place to be its a must

Went on a walk with the family and then went for a little treat. The ice creams were amazing but as it was later on they have ran out of some flavours. I ordered a slushie too which was fan as there was many different flavour choices.

We love swirlz!! It’s our 3 year old sons favourite treat! The owners are great and friendly staff. Always different yummy flavours, even a doggy friendly version. Seating inside and out and they do scrummy waffles, pancakes, slush and shakes. In the cooler months they do jacket spuds, homemade soup, and paninis x

Having stuffed our faces at lunch round the corner in the Wolds cafe we came across this ice cream parlour. We decided it would be rude to just walk past without sampling so we both had an ice cream and sat outside enjoying the sunshine. Very nice ice cream, I had lemon meringue and my son had honeycomb.

Stopped off here and really pleased we did!! Excellent array of Homemade Ice creams and Sorbets Very busy spot and can see why.

Had four fabulous ice creams from Swirlz on Easter Sunday after a long walk along Pocklington Canal. Great taste and range of flavours. Good value for money. A must visit.

We have been here several times and tried different flavoured ice-cream. So far all have been delicious. I would however, love to them to make coffee ice-cream as that is my favourite. My husband would like rhubarb ice-cream. These flavours should be easily available for them to use, especially coffee.

First visit here today, amazing selection of gelato flavours and cones. Fresh, eye catching interior. Few tables and chairs inside & some outside in the sunshine. Waffles, paninis, slushies, milkshakes and sweets & hot drinks. All very well priced. Service was warm, friendly and efficient we loved Swirlz and we will definitely visit here again soon ☺️

Popped in for a coffee with friends, not many tables as they do take out but we found one in the window. Had a panini, great value, me friend had a jacket potato which was oven baked, white & fluffy, the large selection of gelato looked amazing! Didn't try it but I will next time! There is even a doggie gelato! staff are lovely, little gem, will defiantly visit again.

Visited with some friends the gelato is amazing so much varied choice... the vegan choices are great!!! We did ended up having waffles which are to just delicious!!!! The staff there are so attentive. Just fab!

Grandchildren beg to go for ice cream here even when it's wet and cold. Love the bigger shop. Wide choice of flavours and they love the choice of cones. Unicorn gelato in the summer was a winner in the summer. What a nice guy too.

The best ice creams in Yorkshire!!!! We often visit swirls and it’s faultless, friendly welcoming staff, tasty ice-creams and good service. Good value for money too. A must visit if you are in pocklington.

I absolutely adore Swirlz. I usually pop in for a treat if I’m shopping in town and take my kids on the weekend. There’s always a great range of flavours on offer and also dairy free and vegan alternatives. Their sorbets are amazing!

This shop was an oasis on a sweltering hot day. Great choice of ice cream flavours. Would definitely come again if ever in Pocklington.

Spoilt for choice with the gelato. Settled for the pink grapefruit sorbet - absolutely delicious. No wonder it says No 1 above the door of the new shop.

Popped by on a Sunday afternoon, the place was bustling! Very helpful staff and lots of choice. We will definitely be coming back whilst we’re in the area!

Swirlz is a good enough reason as any to visit Pocklington! It’s a stunning place to buy gelato that is made on site in a mind boggling number of flavours. The shop has recently moved to a bigger premises and is rightly thriving. The staff couldn’t be more helpful and you can try any of the flavours to make sure you like them before buying! The ice cream is available in a tub or in a range of yummy cones, including a gluten free one, and bigger take home packs are available!

Pocklington is a special town with a nationally recognised arts centre, bustling market (Tuesday ) and lots of independent shops. Swirls is a perfect example of why this town is a great place to visit or to live . An independent ice cream parlour that serves it's own gelato in a multitude of traditional and innovative flavours (try Skittles flavour in a unicorn cone) it's well worth a visit. Popular with all ages Swirls never fails to deliver on flavour or service. The staff are always friendly and patient (choosing can take some time!) and you can tell they take a genuine pride in what they have created. We have been enjoying their ice cream for years and are delighted to see them move to the new store where there is now space to sit down and enjoy the atmosphere as well as the taste. If you find yourself in Pocklington or anywhere nearby pay a visit to Swirls I promise you will be glad you did.

We have been to Swirls quite a few times, today they open their new shop and it is absolutely awesome,the decor is retro-cool and the now gave seating inside and out. The atmosphere is fantastic which is down to the owners and their staff.

Stopped in Swirlz as a treat for the kids but it ended up being a treat for us all!! Not only was the gelato tasty but the owner was very friendly! A must stop if you are wanting a creamy treat!

There are so many flavours to choose from, but you must try them all, there isn't a bad one. You can tell by the taste and quality that the gelato is home made to the highest standard. The winter homemade soups and baked potatoes are a must for the winter chill, follow it with ice cream of course. You shouldn't visit Pocklington without a visit to Swirls you wont regret it.

As it was a freezing cold day, the signs outside advertising "Mushroom Soup & a Roll" (at only £2), and "Panini's" was very tempting - and proved very tasty.

My experience in the hub was quite an experience, upon dropping off my elderly grandma at her tennis club I dosed by at the ice-cream shop. I was gracefully approached by friendly staff, in particular, the Adam kid whom helps his farther run the shop I believe? Very chatty, friendly and overall great employee! This is the place to go to spice up a cheeky family business.

A lovely place - the jacket potato with homemade coleslaw was one of the nicest I’ve had, oven cooked and very reasonably priced, would highly recommend!

All hand-made gelato ice cream and sorbets. They also do really good paninni's.

A must if you're visiting Pocklington. A really friendly family run business right on the market square that serves hot food such as Panini's but the real gem is the big range of ice creams served here. There is a small seating area but there are benches in the market square too.

Claire, Neil and Co always make everyone feel welcome, ice cream is the best!!! Just a hint they do fantastic soup with rolls and jacket potatoes in the winter too.

This is the best ice cream ever. We had the pecan and toffee in a waffle cone, it was yummy, if your in the area you should try this place you won't regret it.

Visited this fine, quirky establishment a number of times of the past few months. I have to say from the outside it does look extremely fun going and welcoming.

Visited with my two children, loads of choice of ice creams, they choose strawberry and bubble gum. With a choice of different types of cones, and loads of toppings. I had a little taste of each, both tasted gorgeous. I choose a peanut butter milkshake which again was really nice. They have loads of different chocolate bars like mars, Milky Way, cream eggs that they make into the milkshakes. The staff were really friendly and we will defiantly be back.

We arrived at 4.45 just before closing time this Sunday (20/11) after going for a meal in a local pub - the kids had seen this place on the way and were desperate to come for their desserts, they certainly cleared their plates quickly to get there before closing time!

I Absolutely love Swirlz ice cream, the honey comb one. Is my favourite, and the service is always excellent.

Swirlz is now making their own Ice Cream it absolutely amazing. The different varieties make an excellent change. Very good value.

I asked for a sundae to take-away so I had a huge portion in a clear plastic cup the type you get for smoothies....I wanted something nice and old fashioned with just cream and a cherry, the man serving me was really upbeat and happy and it felt like he enjoyed what he did. Some of the best ice cream I have had - really smooth. I live in Hull but will ride out to Pocklington again just to come here.

It took me ages to decide which flavours I wanted, they all looked amazing! Definitely worth a visit to Swirlz if you are in Pocklington and like ice cream and milkshakes!! Very yummy :)

This is a fabulous ice cream shop, They have a large variety of excellent home made ice cream and milkshakes. When we take our two daughters into town, a call into Swirlz is a must. Well worth a visit.

A great little shop in the middle of Pocklington! Very friendly staff and with the most delicious homemade gelato!! Their waffles are fab too - especially toasted with maple syrup and whichever gelato you choose! I hear their ice-cream donuts are fab!!
