I live over a hundred miles away from this place but whenever I visited my Mum who lived nearby I made sure to stock up until my next visit. I've bought fifty samosas in the past to put in the freezer! Anyway, the Indian sweet selection is very good and reasonably priced. You can buy mixed boxes or just stick to your fave ones. The pakoras also good but it's the samosas that really stand out here. Always crisp pastry and flavourful filling (we tend to stick with the veggie ones) sometimes a tad too much chilli for my liking but I'm pretty lightweight on that front these days. There are some delicious savoury snacks too on shelves along the back wall. Try a few handfuls next time you're in there. The people behind the counter are a bit shy but lovely and very helpful. The place is so reasonably priced I'd say try everything and find your favourites.

Writing this review from an experience that happened yesterday at a friend's function. The food was ordered for 6 or 8 members and it was an all veg order. However, when the food was warmed and served it turned out the paneer tikka actually had chicken tikka pieces inside and i mean real chicken pieces not soya. So you know what had happened as the person who ate it was a sikh religious man. Luckily the guy was not allergic otherwise this store would have put him in hospital for the error they made on a ALL VEGETARIAN ORDER. How stupid and pathetic can the person packing the food order be to give meat in an all veg order. Anyways when the organiser went he came back saying the owner is rude and only gave part refund when I personally think the owner should have given a full refund for the stores mistake. The owner should put this right and pick up the phone to the customer apologise and make a full refund.

I have been using this sweet centre for over 20 years for the somosa's. Recently they have gone really bad. The potatoes are grey. They don't seem to be using fresh ones. The peas are full of water. I know they use frozen somasa's and fry them when you order. I think they are frozen for too long.

I arrange a curry night in our little village hall in Gloucestershire, 12 miles from the Welsh border. Each time I drive to Sweet Memories for the food. There is no restaurant in the county that serves curry good enough for our occasions. The masalas used in the recipes are created inhouse from fresh ingredients, so I know I can't buy the same curries elsewhere. Every curry night is sold out well in advance, and the question is always asked.....'when is the next one?'

Main food is indian sweets which are very tasty but they also do a small range of curries which again are very nice. Wish they would add to their menu and start a delivery service.

Have been coming here for the last 20 years or so. The staff are great, very friendly and are happy to let you sample products before buying. This is the only place i go to in Coventry to buy Indian sweets and often buy Samosas/kebabs too, which are extremely tasty. Haven't tried the range of curries on offer, but i'm sure they will be of a great standard.

We have been coming to sweet memories for over 20 years now and have seen it change from its oldschool roots to a new plush and modern looking restaurant amd takeaway.. If you want a real curry then birmingham/coventry is the place your going to get one in the uk... we lived about an hour from here in the past and made jaunts to foleshill (not the worlds glamourous of towns) just to stock up on authentic samosas and sheek kebabs etc and also the local shops are amazing for cheap produce and spices.... we now live 4 hours away but whenever visiting family we always make the journey tp foleshill road and sweet memories. Its not your red curtains cosy table cloth indian this is the real mcoy... glass topped and basic but the food is to die for.... now they have really come into the 21st century with flat screen tvs adorning the walls playing bollywood videos whilst you wait... they do an array of currys and naans and snacks to take away as well as the bright sweets.... they do also do eat in and just coffees if u fancied a refill.... proper balti absolutely delicious.... If your looking for plush luxiourious surroundings for a quiet romantic meal with your every whim being catered too then this is NOT the place for you.... the staff are very much a family who have been there as long as I can remember and customer service is not their forte... you will be lucky to get a smile let alone a conversation...and when your meal is ready your shouted at to pick up from the counter.... this is common place for here and this shpuldnt put you off as you are in for a real treat if your willing to give this diamond in the rough a shot.
