The old fashioned sweet jars, the warm welcome and the lovely outdoor seating area mean my two children only want to visit the Sweet Cafe when we are in Hampton. In the summer the favourite is ice cream, in the winter, well, anything else. A lovely, local cafe where service does not disappoint.

Four adults and my granddaughter went to the sweet cafe today just for a coffee but with the choice of all the cakes sandwiches ice cream and sweets and the playing area and the games for my granddaughter we ended staying over two hours, very relaxing there, I would recommend anyone to go there plus it is dog friendly great place, we will be back soon

We just happened to ask someone for a 'toddler friendly' cafe and came across this place. Gentleman was very helpful and ours boys loved the fact they could play both indoors and outdoors. Will definitely be back here for a relaxing lunch with my boy.

小さい子が一緒ならオススメのカフェです。放課後は、小学生がいっおあいでした。駄菓子の量り売りとかしてて、昔懐かしい感じが よかったです。

Very lovely friendly cafe. Have had breakfast and lunch here and both have been delicious. The coffees ans cakes are amazing too with lots of choice. Polite staff who are chatty and helpful. Not overly priced like some places. Kids love the ice creams, milkshakes and of course the huge selection of sweets on offer. Highly recommend a visit.

We used to order often food from Batterfly, delivered at home. This time we went to have lunch at the place with my wife (disabled) and our westie. The owner (he was alone) refused us because of our little dog. The room was empty, and our dog under the table could not have done any dammage. However this is not indicated anywhere on the door or restaurant window. No compromise, no kindness, no apologies for the absence of warning. It was clear the guy (the boss, because he said "I decide") did not want us, nor maybe any client today. We won't order anything from him anymore. The food is generally acceptable, but not better than elsewhere.

A great local despite being in a tourist spot. Very good selection of wines by the glass and a range of beer. Friendly staff and a real fire make for a great atmosphere.

I'm so pleased I chose The Tapestry for the funeral reception. Jackson was amazing, so patient and supportive. I almost confirmed last minute . He was very understanding every time I spoke to him. The set up of our table was so beautiful with great attention to detail. From appetizers to sweets, this restaurant well surpassed our expectations! The decorations and the vibe was delightful. The ambiance enhances the whole eating experience. It's an absolute hidden treasure." Our family really liked it. Highly recommended." Thank you, Jackson.

Well, we were here today for a Mothers Day lunch. We’d been a couple of years ago and it’s been decorated since then. It looks much better. We looked at some of the meals been served nearby and they all looked decidedly underwhelming and a bit “ greasy spoon cafe”. So, undeterred we thought we’d play it safe. We just ordered mains. One daughter had the mussels and my wife, myself and our other daughter had the roast chicken. The chicken was really nice but the vegetables were overdone, the Yorkshire pudding was a limp sponge and my roast potatoes looked like boiled ones. Having said all that I did polish everything off and it was quite tasty. Jess said her mussel sauce was a bit bland and the portion was small for a main course. As for the positives: the wine was good, my gluten free beers were great, our cocktails (quite a few of them) were very good and so was my coffee. But everything took an age to come out of the kitchen and one of the blokes bringing it out looked like he’d been sleeping in a duvet in the nearest bus shelter. Our waiter, the only English chap, was excellent but he had to keep apologising for the slow service. For Richmond, the prices were not bad and we actually had a very nice time - but then we are a family that gets on and pretty much always have a good time when we are out. In essence, it’s a good place in some ways but a gastro pub it is not.
