We waited at the correct point outside and were shown to a table by a woman with no mask but an exemption lanyard. A man came to the table with the same lanyard but stood too close for me, the man making the coffees was the the same and so was another staff member. Surely these could wear a visor or the masked staff do the coffees and food and others just keep their distance. The food was so expensive we just had coffees ! I mean £7 for a toastie!!!!!!! I won’t be going again it was just too stressful even if I had my mask on all the time.Staff also need to watch people coming in as two women just wandered past the big sign to wait and touched the surfaces near all the cakes and thought it was ok to just walk anywhere, some people are just unbelievable and selfish I can’t believe it sometimes

So over priced for what you get. Since the change to 'Dobbies' this place has become horrible. We will never be coming here again. Didn't even have soap in the toilets. And I get that some places are 'dog friendly' but having the dogs sat at the table and eating off the plates is just dirty, unhygienic and vile!So disappointed and wouldn't recommend at all.

My children love going to Dobbies for breakfast, the staff always go out of their way to make us feel welcome, and it's such a friendly atmosphere in the restaurant. Our latest visit was just before Christmas, we booked Tea with Santa and we all had such a lovely time. The food was great, the children loved the activities and Santa was fantastic. We asked the names of two guys who work in the restaurant (John and Jamie) as they are fantastic with all the kids and adults who visit and are a credit to Dobbies. Big thank you.

Visited to meet up with a friend and her two children, i ordered our drinks and the man who served me was abrupt and vague, he even wandered off half way through taking my order to chat to a seated customer! We went into the garden centre after and my friend bought several large box items, i was looking after her baby and toddler and the sales assistant literally stood and watched my friend struggle to pack the items offering no assistance whatsoever, even when my friend commented that she needed help she still just stood and watched, i don't think I've ever seen such poor customer service anywhere!

Wyevale now taken over by Dobbies Garden Centre. After Dobbies took over earlier this year I expected some better service andMore appertising meals. Unfortunately it has not. I stood in a que for 20 mins to get to the hot drinks and by that time my young grandson was so fed up with waiting. The staff seem so laid back, and there is nothing hardly presented on the counters anymore. I could hear the person behind me Asking for some cake, and the reply was "it hasn't been defrosted yet". Where is the management that they don't see what is going on!

I visited Wyvale Garden Centre in Llansamlet today and went to ask the staff a quick question but the lady called Bev was very rude and unhelpful. I then waited in line for ten minutes to ask my question about gas, only to be told they didn't have any. I don't usually write negative reviews but the way that Bev spoke to me was unnecessary and I left feeling annoyed and rather upset.

On arriving, a large group of staff were gathered in the cafe/restaurant but no one acknowledged me for a good few minutes. Eventually I had to ask if anyone was serving, I was told the tills were not working properly but did not get an apology for basically being ignored. Orders the veggie breakfast which arrived without the toast so I had to go back to the till and ask for this. I visited Wyevale restaurant with my 2+ year old grandson recently to while away hopefully a few hours in the children's zone of the restaurant. I purchased a meal for him and a sandwich and coffee for me and entered the play area. The floor was strewn with wrappers, food and other detritus - the chairs were a mismatch and badly damaged none of this a welcoming sight. OK so it is a children's play area but don't the children and their families deserve a decent clean environment in which to play and eat especially considering they are charged an entrance fee?. Also the excuse for a sandwich was incredibly poor with sparse filling and high cost. Come on time to get your act together Wyevale clean the place up and start treating the children and their families like proper customers after all you charge enough for the privilege.

My nan had a coffee she likes it very weak and black and they made it to order for her so she was pleased. The play area was clean and cheap at £2 per child (£1.50 for garden club members). I like the fact that it's next to the restaurant and that u can say there but it has its own doors to stop the children running off and so that it's quieter in there as you don't have any noise from the rest of the store and so that those in the main cafe area don't have to listen to the excited children shouting.

Main chap serving from the main counter was as miserable and unobliging as sin. We felt like an inconvenience. Servers bringing the food to the table were slightly more amicable and obliging. My soup - broccoli and cheese - was piping hot and delicious. The cheese scone was also hot and tasty. My husband was extremely disappointed with his bacon, lettuce and tomatosandwich. The bacon was cold and the whole thing was truly unappetising. He was adamant that he wouldn't eat there again.Shame, because the location is good and the restaurant has a good, spacious layout. Another visit to the restaurant at Swansea's Wyevale Garden Centre; yet another disaster. No milk served with the tea - had to go to the counter to ask, as did the chap in front of me. The assistant who rectified this mistake was pleasant enough but seemed to be apologising to each customer for some failing on their part. This is not the only occasion we've come away feeling less than satisfied; rather, it seems to be the starting point. There are two reasons for my score of 1: there's no zero and the scone was OK.

It is very accessible and enables those who are wheelchair users to see what food is on offer. The food is unremarkable, It is the usual type of fare for places of this kind - fish and chips, breakfast, dish of the day, cakes etc. The fish and chips was over £8 so not exactly cheap but the fish was good and the beef stew was tasty. It was fine for what it was and convenient when you are there to shop.

Although my colleagues thought it was a bit of a treat to eat out, this unfortunately failed to meet my expectations. A small queue at the self service/ordering system resulted in delays and the server writing orders down to serve us later when ready. Although the freshly prepared sandwiches arrived, they were demolished by the time the chips arrived with a drink. Costs for a roast beef ciabatta was 4.95 which was a little excessive. A carvery may have been better value for same price elsewhere. Fresh lemonade was offered at £2.50 but was far too sharp and resembled strong lemon juice. The place was fairly busy mainly with the older folk doing their garden centre shopping and there was a varied selection of cakes/pastries. The hot buffet did not look appealing and the carrots were a disgrace. Some improvement necessary here i;m afraid.

Apart from the fact that it was so dry it seemed a few days old the flavours must have been in someones imagination. there might have been a slight taste of Almond but I can only say they must have shown the lemon to the scone mix because there most definitely wasn't any in the scone. I complained a couple of months ago about the standard of breakfast and I was contacted by the manager and I was given a complimentary afternoon tea which was excellent. I then visited again for lunch a couple of weeks later and ordered fish and chips. it was horrible, all batter hardly any fish, not hot and the staff were not interested in putting it right. Called in looking at garden stuff and the restaurant smelled lovely, lol so we stopped for lunch, I had the home made beef and baby onion casserole with creamy mash and veg, missus had lasagne, again made there, good portions and hot and very tasty, as a bonus there are two clothes stores within the garden centre, had some good outfits in the sale too, well worth a visit.Cost was 15 quid for both including a nice coffee, also got a voucher for two breakfasts for 8 pounds as well.

.. £4.20 for a cheese and pickle sandwich!! Had little choice as had been out all morning and was on way back to Swansea and peckish!! OM goodness - two wafer thin slices of cheese - overpriced crisps - coffee and pot of tea for one!! nearly £11.00 - disgrace. and the £11 for one sandwich!! plus crisps and drinksSurprised this place keeps going. A friend on nearby table had fish and chips over £8.00 - she showed it to us - nearly all batter. First and last time. And to my amusement cashier said at checkout after buying a pot "you have a voucher for the restaurant" told her to keep it.

Oh my goodness where do I begin this was one of the most bizarre experiences I have ever had. Reading reviews it seemed ok one reviewer even commented on it being a up market place to visit. Well up market it's not mostly frozen food just reheated. It was expensive for the standard we received. The staff were boarder line rude every little thing a massive issue. After returning to get coffee and desserts their attitude was dreadful so I said don't bother with my order. Oh we have started to make your drinks was reply well as I had not paid for this order I insisted I did not want them. I then asked for manager although no body came to see me. And as we left they were looking at us and laughing well that's fine because us such mere mortals help pay your wages and I would rather go without than to return such a shame. We also had our grandmother with us and she got very upset so shame on you.

Had a lovely festive lunch here today, proper turkey - nice thick slices. Crispy roast potatoes and roast parsnip. Generous portion of vegetables. Unfortunately the service let them down a bit..... the servers refused to take orders at the counter as they were waiting for the sprouts to come out. I was told I could wait at the counter for ten minutes, or return in ten minutes (?) but they wouldn't take my order yet. My friends had already been served with their choice and seated, so neither option was suitable. Surely they could have taken my order and brought it out when it was ready?? Anyway, as luck would have it the sprouts came out after a few moments, and I was served quickly. It was definitely worth waiting for. My only gripe, apart from the service, was the fact that the only other veg on offer were carrots and peas, personally I don't like either, but that's just a personal preference. My friend's jacket potato wasn't fully cooked so she was disappointed with her meal.

I only called in for coffee and a cake, but was immediately taken with the cleanliness and the welcoming atmosphere.I wish that I had had more time to have sampled some of the hot food on offer but time did not permit. However the homemade mince pies and cinnamon cake (or bread?) were delicious and very festive.I would think that this little gem is to Wyevale Swansea what the meatballs are to Ikea!Looking forward to my next visit to sample the hot fare!!

Visited swansea wyevale restaurant today and me and my partner had fish and chips with mushy peas it was absolutely delicious, best we have had for a very long time, being a regular visitor at the garden centre it was also nice to see that they have now improved their light lunch menu and will be returning to try the lighter options soon. Delicious but still a little overpriced.

I have eaten here loads of time though expensive food is usually good.. I called in for breakfast which arrived at my table quickly and was hot. The deep fried bread was rock hard and loaded with the taste of cooking oil. The sausage was awful tasted like it had been sprayed with perfume. I complained as feedback is always good. I asked if they had change their make and was told they were their usual brand. Lastly not everyone like herb sausage as it masks the use of cheep ingredients. My wife usually enjoys eating here she felt sick after her breakfast. Well done wyevale having good service is spoiled by having poor quality food.

Have tried the afternoon tea, scones were really hard and could not cut them, and breakfast, overcooked and left to stand making appearance and taste unpleasant. Had finished coffee and tea before food arrived on both occasions.

It's great there is somewhere you can have a coffee or lunch and the kids have somewhere to play, although it costs a fortune! £1.50 for the child's play area then food and drink can come to over £10! Food isn't even that great I just go so I can meet friends and chat in peace while the kids play.

Ordered at the till. We were given a dirty teapot complete with chipped spout and all around grotty also had to ask for clean cups!!!. The sandwiches were stale. The scones were dry and must have been lying about for days. They asked if we wanted fruit or plain scones we asked for fruit and when they came it was one fruit one plain. The staff were the most unhelpful unenthusiastic people I have ever had the misfortune to encounter. All in all not a great afternoon tea. Don't waste your money. Put it in the charity bucket instead.

This place is OK for a coffee and a chat but that's about all. The food looks OK but it's over priced and we were surprised to see so many people ordering Sunday lunch I'm sure they could do better themselves. The staff are plesent but when busy the table's don't get cleaned.

Visited on Sunday, decided to go for a ' two meals for £10' meal which came with the plant purchases. The voucher clearly quotes ' except Sunday Roast'. Arrived at servers "sorry Sir, this voucher is not valid for Sun Roast" i explained that I didn't want the roast just a meal. The server was now very confused,he shouts over to a lady at the till " can he have two meals for £10", "no" was the curt answer. I then had to explain to a second person exactly what THEIR coupon entitlement was. So in due course the fish meals were served, by this time the queue had significantly grown in front of me, patiently I made my way to the till, meals going cold and the till staff completely engrossed in conversations with themselves and customers. Imagine my exasperation when the woman on the till said quite sternly " Sorry sir you are not entitles to the £10 deal on Sunday" . Incandescent does not explain my feelings at this time, I quite politely explained that I had no intention of explaining to a third member of staff exactly what I was entitled to,to which I was told that it was not necessary to be rude....rude, I think I showed the most remarkable restrain, if not for the soothing words from my partner they would all have been wearing my now cold fish meals.Do not go here for food, it's awful, the level of incompetence surpasses anything I have ever encountered.

If you like garden centres this is a typical upmarket type with café/restaurant. Cappucino and lattes come in 3 sizes from a proper machine. There is a good selection of cakes and desserts and a small selection of meals available but meals are only served over the lunchtime. Prices are high but there is sometimes a discount if you have a Gardening Club loyalty card and over 60's are offered 2 meals for £8. The restaurant is clean and has just been updated with new furniture. It is light and airy but extremely cold under the air conditioning vents so watch where you sit! Quality food and drink here. Also available is a child's play area.

Food was awful.. the two serving me were more interested in having banter with a couple next to me then concentrating on what they were doing. I was hungry and looking forward to my carvery sandwich, instead I got a double act who forgot they were serving hot food!! The Carvary sandwich turned out to be thick slices of fat with a foul tasting latte!Don't waste your money or your time!! Enjoy the garden centre but give the restaurant a miss!!

This is my second time visiting the Cafe. The first time was OK thought it was overpriced but the second time was awful. Ordered Jacket Potatoes on both occasions but the second time which was today they have changed the menu - There was a lot less filling & overcooked hard skinned jackets - If you can call a salad a few leaves with a flower on top acceptable for the money you charge!

We were looking for a plant for a friend for easter and decided we would give the restaurant a try. We had been here before and were usually satisfied with the tea, cakes and pastries on offer. This time we tried the sunday roast....what a waste of money. The beef and pork were very very dry, well overcooked. To this day I cannot understand why horseradish sauce was served with the beef but there was no apple sauce for the pork.....but there was mint sauce????. The carrots were only just cooked but vaguely warm as was the broccoli. They were also starting to dry out from sitting under the heat lamp. As for the roast potatoes, they weren't right, they seemed to be mashed potato balls deep fried. Not a natural taste and texture at all. All in all a very unpleasant meal and not an experience we will be repeating.

Don't usually give reviews but feel compelled to write this one as I have never visited a cafe that is unable to make an edible cheese toastie. My daughter and myself ordered tuna sandwich two coffees and a cheese and onion toastie. This cost over £13.00 and we were unable to eat them. The toastie looked as though it had been placed in the microwave to be toated and was accompanied by a piece of lettuce and a cherry tomato cut in half. The tuna sandwich was much the same. Surely a large establishment like this could provide food that is at least presentable. This cafe needs a manager that is able to employ staff that are able cook. What a disappointment.

Had the larger breakfast..... we were very hungry. Once again same hapenned as had previously hapenned a number of times...the meals were sitting on the serving hatch waiting for a server to bring them to table. We have previously gone and collected them from the hatch outselves. The result of the delay this time was that they were tepid at best. Eggs still jelly and hashbrowns were VERY brown and nothing on the plate was more than just warm. Coffee was very nice though....thankyou coffee counter.

Have reviewed their Sunday Roast probably two years ago and was a bit lacking.. however as a club member I had a 50% off deal so thought I would try again and have to say I was not disappointed.... Normal price was £17.95 but even at that price it was excellent value. Place is clean and tidy, it is pub atmosphere and setting and the food likewise so no good if you are looking for a Masterchef experience.... The roast was huge, I could not finished it, two well proportioned slices of beef and so,so much veg but so many varieties and a really good Yorkshire. Staff were attentive and welcoming and in fairness you could not fault it. Very laid back and relaxing visit. Thoroughly enjoyed and I should def make more of this facility, after all in the pool/gym 5 days a week anyway!
