What an amazing cafe. Family run & the best food. Protein pancakes are a must! Or the burgers, eggs on toast to Steak wraps. Milkshakes, protein shakes or great coffee. The staff are super friendly. Would travel for this place. Perfect for meeting with friends and family. Defo give this one a try.

i went here the other day on a cold morning and my dad went to get a coffee and i got a hot chocolate. the hot chocalate was so nice and my dad said the coffee was better than costas. i really recommend this

Good food. Okay service. Busy place. Full size English breakfast would cost 30 pounds for a couple. Black pudding isn’t that great. It’s tasteless. Parking is available nearby (paid)

£15 is quite expensive for a breakfast so I was expecting something great. Sadly the breakfast was average. All the components were pre cooked. I hate that. Bacon, dry Sausages, cut in half, dry Mushrooms, kept warm and boiled, tasted weird Egg, crispy on the bottom, slimey bit on the top Hash brown, soggy, these should be crisp

A lovely cafe! I went here with my two children (4 and 9). We had a smoothie and a couple of their cakes. I also had a cup of tea. Everything was lovely and the service was great and very welcoming. They do lovely smoothies, where they give you the option to have peanut butter in or not. The cakes were especially delicious - their rocky road was really lovely and their raspberry, lemon and pistacchio traybake was particularly amazing.

My wife and I were out cycling along the nearby canal (we are not local to this area) and decided to grab a coffee and a bite to eat, so we ventured into Knowle. It was more by accident that we found this delightful place just off the main road, up a side street. We were able to sit at a table outside with our bikes. The food was fantastic, along with our beverages. We were greeted and served by friendly, cheerful staff who went that little bit further to ensure our visit was a superb experience. We will definitely head for here the next time we are in the area.

Had the Yard Breakfast really great perfect eggs ! Place was buzzing and full staff great luckily got a table. They are opening in the evenings soon can’t wait to try it

Had lunch today with my daughter food was amazing, staff friendly & welcoming, great price, clean surroundings, we will be back to try the breakfast as looks amazing!

The food is brilliant and was served at a fast pace.The service was brilliant so kind to me and perfect with kids.the atmosphere was a bit quiet as it was a monday lunch time but was not empty.

This visit to Swanyard was absolutely fantastic. Quite honestly the best full english breakfast I think I’ve ever had… The place itself looks new, bright and clean with a great atmosphere. Food was delivered promptly, and was glad to see they certainly don’t skimp on portion sizes. A perfect mix of quality and quantity here. Fantastic spot, and certainly worth a visit if you’re nearby and peckish. Well done Team Swanyard! Will be returning VERY soon.

We are in Swan Yard every week without fail. They make the best coffee around and the service is always brilliant. There are lots of food choices to suit everyone including kids, our toddler loves it here. The team are really welcoming and I can’t recommend it enough ☺️

Situated behind the High Street in Knowle. It can get very busy but tables turn over quite quickly so we didn’t wait long. Immaculately clean with very friendly and efficient staff. The kitchen is visible which is a nice touch and super clean too. Tables are laid out to provide space around them so we didn’t feel crammed in and there is a few tables outside too. The food is delicious although not the cheapest it certainly does give value for money. We had Avocado with poached eggs on brown toast and would thoroughly recommend.

Strange set up. I`d love to give a proper review, but having tried to contact them via the only means they seem to have (Social media) I`ve had no success. I`ve been trying to see if they do take away as we regulary collect 8-12 meals a day for our office staff and food looks good. They do not have a phone number, website or email address. Messaged them on social media, message was read but no reply ??..... Clearly doing to well. Shame as it looks good

It was super busy this morning. Lovely to see an independent cafe thriving! Staff were nice and accommodating. Coffee was amazing. We ordered the Full English, everything was really nice except the hash browns. One was really tough & chewy and the other was really nice. Quite odd but hey these things happen. Love that it’s Dog /Child friendly. All cutlery is available at the front with clean cups for water. All self explanatory. Very clean.

Had a quick breakfast. Nice location and very busy. Plus side you can take your dog in there but a bit expensive.

We always love visiting Swan Yard & it is a real treat every time we go. The food is excellent quality & cannot be faulted & they have a great choice of beautifully cooked & crafted food & drinks. The chef is brilliant & they are so obliging even with difficult & super fussy people like me, who have certain food intolerances. The staff themselves make it a pleasure to visit & they are consistently friendly, happy & quick as anything with helping you. It has a lovely bright friendly atmosphere, whaever time of day you visit & it is a credit to Knowle. We are so lucky to have somewhere like this to eat & drink at. Also - it is always spotlessly clean.

Ordered fries with our meal and the young lady at the till, whilst hearing this, didn't put it through, so the meal arrived without and we had had to sort this out ourselves, without I might add receiving any kind of apology. I appreciate that mistakes do happen, but in light of the lady admitted it was her fault I'd have remedied this by giving the fries to the customer for free, by way of a gesture of kindness ( or maybe a free coffee or pudding as an alternative ). Little things like that go a long way in my book! It does seem a little off to have to get our own cutlery, also. Finally, might I request that if they do burgers, which they do, they add a veggie/vegan burger to the menu. The food was nice

Lovely cafe that we found by chance! Staff were all very kind, drinks and food were very quick regardless to it being fairly busy.

Nice food but very expensive for what you get. Chef was extremely put out when asked for something not on the menu - beans on toast even though a full breakfast is on the menu.

This place is so packed with pushchairs and tables that I could hear other people’s conversations easier than my own. Didn’t stay to try the food it felt too claustrophobic and noisy

Visited last week for brunch with a friend. We had the banana bread and waffles. The banana bread was amazing and generous portion size. My friend had the waffles which was way bigger than expected. Staff are friendly and the cafe is always super clean and the food is always really nice.

Cheek by jowl - looked a great place but the amount of tables that were crammed in such a small space was reminiscent of a school canteen and so loud as everyone had to talk loudly because of the claustrophobic seating arrangements. Rather pricey too

Eggs with avocado toast consists of a very thick slice of toast with the thinnest smear of avocado - inversely proportional to the dimensions of the toast brick. Dry and almost inedible without the eggs. Unhelpfully it comes with extra toast on the side. A toast bonanza.

Called here for a quick brunch before a friends wedding. We were made very welcome and served quickly with tasty freshly cooked food and well prepared drinks. Didn't have time for cakes today but they looked tempting!

Excellent breakfast sandwich earlier but asked for small bowl of strawberries for 10 month old baby and was charged £3 ...scandalous! No more than 2 strawberries cut up very fine. Disappointed 😥

Tried here for the first time this weekend as we saw it was dog friendly, which we absolutely love. Amazing breakfasts and huge portions, made from quality produce and tasty butchers meat. Tucked away just off the high street, it’s a great little find. Dogs were given treats and enjoyed their visit.

Had breakfast here on a busy Bank Holiday Monday today. Staff were really friendly, food was absolutely delicious and a good price for what you got! I had the full breakfast and my sister had the veggie breakfast with eggs added. Would definitely come back here again

We have visited this Cafe many times now and we absolutely love it- if you are in Knowle, you must visit this place. The staff here are so welcoming and attentive, and very engaging with our young children which is lovely to see, and its great to see genuine beaming smiles. The food is of excellent quality, comes out hot and full of flavour. The decor is modern, contemporary, comfortable and clean. Overall its a pleasurable experience everytime we dine here and we are already looking forward to our next visit after visiting only this morning. Thank you Paul and team. See you again very soon.

Have visited the Swan Yard on numerous occasions and have never been disappointed! The cakes are lovely and the coffee is always great. Nice atmosphere, clean setting and lovely food.

I've visited several times and the coffee is always very good. Staff are always really friendly and provide great service. It's always busy and I'm sure this a reflection of how good it is. Today I went for breakfast and chose to have avocado with poached eggs on toast, with bacon as an extra. It was excellent. Great ingredients, very tasty and presented really nicely. Looking forward to another visit soon.

Love the Swan yard, the staff are so friendly and accommodating always finding space for us with pushchairs and dogs! The coffee is great and food is lovely, highly recommend giving this place a try.

An excellent place just to get a really good cup of coffee, cake or a meal. First class quality of food and the staff are brilliant. I take my dog there regularly as it is so good to have somewhere which will take dogs. I was very perturbed to read a review by a Mr Harrington which severely criticised the hygiene at Swan Yard. Apparently, he was most put out because a guest had let their dog sit on the bench and "slurp" out of its bowl on the table. The standards of hygiene at this cafe are extremely high; I cannot see the need to slag off the establishment because of the behaviour of a guest. Maybe if he had pointed out the problem to the management at the time, they could have done something about it. Instead, he chose to leave a very negative review after the fact. He doesn't see why dogs should even be in there due to "hygiene" and "people with allergies to dogs". I would have thought that people with "allergies to dogs" would have the common sense not to go into a cafe or any other establishment that allows dogs, but maybe I expect some people to have more common sense than they actually have. Perhaps he should go to one of the other establishments in Knowle that doesn't allow dogs, then he won't have a problem. Well done Swan Yard, you are an asset to Knowle.

Great atmosphere, food is ok... had the full English and mushrooms were bland. Hash brown felt extremely greasy and wasn't quite what I'd expected. Other plates being served did look nice but felt like they could do a bit more with their food.

Visited a couple of times and I've not been disappointed. Food is very tasty. Bonus that it's dog friendly so there's always a fluff ball inside.

I’ve been to the swan yard many times now and every time the food is delicious. Fluffy pancakes, delicious burgers and the best breakfasts in knowle! There is something for everyone on menu. The coffee is fantastic too, I often pop in while walking the dog to grab a takeaway coffee grabbing a dog treat whilst we wait. My son’s favourite is the chocolate milkshake, absolutely delicious! The staff are friendly and chatty, the cafe is always warm and welcoming. If you are looking for a place to meet with friends over breakfast or brunch, I can’t think of anywhere better. There is free parking near by, but remember to grab a ticket first. You won’t be disappointed.

Good food good value and friendly service

Good food generally and good value. However, the kids pancakes are only served with Nutella, even though the adult ones can come with yoghurt - no explanation as to why. As the only kids breakfast item, it’s limited. The babychino also comes in a large adult cup and was hotter than the sun. Given how much of the market is young families, more could be done to cater.

Lovely toasted sandwiches, brownie and Victoria Sponge washed down with an ice cream based strawberry shake, bliss. Friendly staff front of house, very clean and quick service even though constant flow of customers in and out. Pleasant change from “other” coffee shops in Knowle who greet you with “we’re really busy it’s a twenty minute wait”, Swan Yard actually make you feel welcome 🤗. Dog friendly too. It’s all good 👍 highly recommended

I did like this cafe, its only down the road from me, and you get waitress service which I haven't had in long time!. The coffee is good and they have nice selection of cakes, I can't say anything about the food because I haven't tried it yet!.

Friendly staff, reasonably priced, nice coffee, very busy. Not very accessible for pushchairs or wheelchairs, not enough space. Staff offered something that was possibly gluten free when asked for vegan so might need better staff training.
