The Swan in Broadway is a local pub/restaurant to us. We’ve been a couple of times since moving to the area, and it’s always a 5* experience from us. We’ve been on a Sunday and have a sharing roast dinner which was incredible. Recently, we went for dinner and the service and food didn’t disappoint again. Ben, our waiter was brilliant.

On my own for Thursday lunch. Great welcome from both the bar and restaurant staff. I hadn’t made a reservation , but a table was quickly found in the restaurant, in spite of being busy. Food excellent. Good scallops starter, followed by sea bass. Perfectly cooked and efficiently served by waiter Harry. Good cheeseboard and adequate selection of wines “by the glass”. Ambiance excellent. Much better value than The Lyon Arms, close by.

Had a lovely lunch with friends

Very warm and welcoming, catered very well with my wife in her wheelchair especially as it was very busy. Food was delicious and overall was a great start to our Christmas festivities

Our server Ann Marie was super-helpful and attentive without being intrusive, for our business lunch. Very impressed with the food, as always and the Rose and Raspberry soda was just the ticket for a lunchtime. Will be back to use my membership benefits now I have joined their loyalty scheme. Dined here a few weeks ago. What an absolutely fabulous meal enjoyed by all 4 of us. We were looked after impeccably by a lovely host called Sarah who I thought was giving us top star treatment but later noticed she was the same to another couple nearby. 100% recommend this to anyone visiting the area. Food was 10/10 and the experience was enhanced by such pleasant and accommodating staff. Thank you Sarah. We recently visited The Swan. We, and our dogs were very well looked after. Food was delicious. Waiting staff were very attentive, and especially patient with the elderly lady in our party, who can get a little confused when ordering. I’d recommend getting peppercorn sauce to accompany the steak and chips!

Took my husband for his birthday on 9th January at lunch time. We had a main meal and pudding. The food was beautifully presented and was delicious. We ate in the restaurant which was nice and cosy for a cold day and the atmosphere was pleasant. We were served by Harry (who was very busy) but he made sure that we had everything we needed at all times. Definitely worth a visit and we will be back again soon.

What a little gem we found. I went with a group for dinner and the food was both varied and delicious. I especially loved the puddings, Sarah's melons are just the best.

We’re locals in the village and absolutely love coming down here. The port and cheddar mushrooms for starter and the ribeye steak for my main, which was cooked to perfection. The food is always great, and the service from Sophie was amazing – so friendly and attentive. Everything came out quickly, and it was just a really lovely experience. We couldn’t recommend it enough to anyone visiting the area.

Went for dinner. Service was good, and staff were welcoming, friendly and attentive. Food was just about average though and fairly bland in taste. Was quite strange being in a beautiful circa 14th century pub with early 2000s house music playing in the restaurant. This was quite off-putting. Would not go back for food, but drinks would be OK in the bar area.

Visited the Swan inn after many recommendations. The food quality for the price didn’t meet the standard. Unfortunately one of the dishes we had to return as it just wasn’t an enjoyable meal - for a surf and turf it was extremely chewy. The staff were okay about this and took it off the bill however we won’t be returning for a number of other reasons. We booked the table online for 7 o’clock and were told twice that it would ready shortly. After a 20 minute wait the table was finally ready. Just not what you expect for a pre-booked table and there was no seating in the bar which meant standing around for 20 minutes. Overall the apology received didn’t quite cover the poor experience we had. It’s a real shame as the reviews seemed really positive.

Visited for a family meal while staying just outside of Broadway. The restaurant has a main bar area to the front which is dog friendly (not my cup of tea) but with a restaurant section to the rear where pets are not allowed. We sat at the rear and were greeted by a traditional low beamed ceilinged room featuring a very welcoming real fire that added to the cosy feel of the place. We ordered mixed breads and olives to start with a round of drinks. These were served nice and quickly and we were allowed plenty of time to enjoy them before they were cleared away and our mains brought. We had a varied mix of meals for mains between us. I had the half rotisserie chicken with fries, my wife had the three cheese and mushroom pizza. Our eldest had the ribeye steak and our youngest had the dirty burger. The chicken I had was absolutely lovely, it was served with a honey glaze, a gravy type sauce and really nice fries. The steak was ordered medium and was cooked perfectly, this came with chunky chips and an excellent peppercorn sauce. The dirty burger was also really good with the smashed patties and brisket topping all being very good. My wife's pizza was excellent with a goodly amount of toppings and a very nice crispy base. We had a mix of wines, beers and soft drinks throughout the meal all of which were served really well. The staff were lovely and friendly and the restaurant was nice and clean. All in all a lovely restaurant and well worth a visit if in Broadway.

Really nice decor in the restaurant. The 3 of us enjoyed our lunch very much. Only shame was you had to have the 3 courses on their Festive Menu, which we couldn't manage, & no mulled wine on the menu!

Eat here quite often. Good food and good service always. The restaurant has a warm and welcoming atmosphere , the maitre de is very good as are the rest of the staff.

Very helpful finding us a table when it was busy and service was excellent

My partner and I visited last night for the first time. We will be back. The food was delicious, and the service was lovely, especially the very happy young girl (17 I think she said) who served us. She was funny, polite, and attentive. Parking is easy. If I have one complaint, if you're sat next to a noisy group, which we were because there is little in the way of soft furnishings to soak up sound, it's hard to hear each other over the noise but it didn't spoil our evening. Also, the village itself is gorgeous and well worth a wander around. Sadly, because it was so busy I didn't get any pictures.

We had the Wine and Dine which was beautiful, however, we asked if we could choose a MUCH cheaper bottle of wine but still willing to pay the full price, absolutely no issue with that. Unfortunately, this was declined. The wine on offer was not to our taste and as such didn’t really enjoy the experience albeit it was still excellent value. To be fair, if that’s my only gripe, that I was forced to drink a much more expensive bottle of wine it can’t be all bad. I think next time we’ll give the wine and dine a miss.

Fabulous dinner with my hubby during our stay in Broadway Superb food, lovely relaxed and chilled atmosphere in the bar and restaurant area. Really spoilt for choice on the menu. My husband is a massive scallop fan and said they were the best he’d ever tasted!… praise indeed! Friendly attentive staff. The outside was decorated very nicely for Christmas.. we left there feeling starting to feel it was nearly Christmas!!

Fish smelt old, goats cheese tart too sweet and lacking cheese, bar service poor, welcome non existent. Table waitress was good, sharing board also, but not likely to return.

Wonderful food and atmosphere! We ordered from the Festive menu, and savored every bite. We especially liked the sea bass! This place is obviously favored by locals and had a nice buzz to it well past 10:00. Our server, Ann Marie, was informative and very attentive. It was definitely a 5 star dining experience!

The vibe when we came into the restaurant was immediately chaotic and that proved to be the case for the duration of our meal. We had a booking at 18:45 and weren't able to finally pay and leave until nearly 22:00. The service was remarkably slow, and we had multiple instances where drinks orders were forgotten and had to be reordered. Trying to pay at the end of the meal took nearly half an hour as wait staff consistently ignored us attempting to get their attention. Throughout the meal the wait staff made us hand them our plates (they stood in front of us and just held out their hands) and also passed our plates (often very hot) into our hands. The position of the table wasn't the easiest to navigate, but they chose to put the table there, so that is on them. The food was mostly good. The roasts were very nice. However, my soup had a thick skin on it, which I assumed was from sitting under a heat lamp, and my partner's burger was extremely tough and dry. It was her birthday meal, and it's safe to say that it was a huge disappointment.

Generally great and the food and service was pretty good but some of the roast potatoes had skins like cardboard from being kept in the warmer for too long. We only noticed towards the end of our meal and mentioned it before paying and we got an apology but were told we should have said something sooner. Other than that the food was great. Dauphinoise potatoes were sublime as was the Valrhona brownie. Crackling was superb. Meats and veg were OK and the beef was the star of the show.

Amazing! Relaxing atmosphere not too noisy and lovely decor. The staff were very friendly and kind. The food was really nice and reasonably priced. We returned for a second night because it was so nice. We visited with our small baby and child and they were welcomed too.

We visited last night and had a fantastic meal in the bar with our dog. The food was beautifully presented , hot and extremely tasty. I have to day you need to book as they were over subscribed but its so easy to book online Thank you for a great evening

Fried Haddock and Chips - quite a large portion but the fish was moist and delicately cooked. Thick chips. Comfortable dining rooms. Very warm and friendly service.

I would have loved to be posting a review about the food however, we did not get the opportunity to even have a drink. We arrived on a Thursday at 6pm and every table was reserved. No one bothered to ask us if we needed anything. How is it that you cannot go into a pub and actually have a drink at 6pm on a week night. What society do we live in when you now need to reserve a table in order to have a drink. There should be a minimum of 4 tables to allow for walk ins that are not reserved. Do not tell me that all reservations were for 6pm. What the Swan has accomplished is that we will never return or recommend to our friends.

Following a leisurely stroll through the very quaint and pretty village of Broadway in the Cotswolds, we were looking for somewhere to have a bite to eat for lunch and stumbled across The Swan just opposite The Green which looked quite inviting. Not long after we entered the bar area and enquired if there was a table available for 4, we were escorted into the restaurant area and shown to a lovely table. It was obvious that it we were in for a treat as it was very busy, and when we saw some of the meals being served, we were really impressed before we have even looked at the menu. We decided to eat from the Lunch Set menu which, at £19.95 for two courses, was incredible value for money, with a great choice of dishes. Two of us opted for the squid starter which was one of the best calamari dishes I’ve ever had. Three of us had the gammon steak, eggs and pineapple which we all agreed was superb, and my wife said her cod & chips were fantastic. From walking through the door to leaving, the service was relaxed and professional, the ambiance great, food sublime and we all agreed it was one of the best lunchtime experiences we have ever had. High Five to Vicky, and the whole team who served us, for their 5* service. If you’re visiting Broadway, do not miss dining here and, for those who are old enough to remember – if Carlsberg did pub lunch……………

Beautiful restaurant in the Cotswolds and one with some great history for the area:) the T-bone steak I got was very well cooked just a little under-seasoned and the peppercorn sauce needs more bite but the service was brilliant and it was a lovely dinner

Popped in for a sticky toffee pudding on Sunday, the lady on the bar was very kind and friendly and the food was brought out within minutes! Amazing place with great service, many thanks to Holly, our server and the chef Joshua- all the team are great.

Just had to leave a review! Last minute decision to eat out tonight and chose at the Swan - made to feel so welcome .Both steaks were cooked perfectly and they easily accommodated a change to the dish that I requested. Service so attentive and friendly particularly from the manager Tom -all the team are great. Would highly recommend ,also very dog friendly -our dog gives it 4 paws on the doors!!

Cosy spot for few drinks in the bar. Then moved into the restaurant to eat later. Good food at reasonable price.

Lovely lunch, we prebooked as it was a Saturday. We were in the bar area with dogs and child, where you order at the bar or on QR code on the table. Was the 2nd time visiting here for lunch and would definitely return. Service was a little slow to clear up but it was understandable as we were a group and it was very busy, being peacetime. Had the pork belly and it was delicious, everyone around the table were happy with their meals.

Most impressed with the excellent charcuterie sharing platter and somehow found room for the trio of desserts; the stars of which were the icecream and the lemon tart😋

The bald gentlemen with glasses behind the bar was one of the friendliest most accommodating bar staff I’ve ever encountered, nothing was too much for him and he had an electable charm which complimented the electric atmosphere nicely. Will certainly be returning !!!
