Swan Inn Broadway in Wychavon

We stayed at the Lygon Arms and ate at the Grill by James Martin for our 25th Wedding anniversary. The food at the Swan absolutely blew it out of the water, so much so we went back again and ordered the same dishes. Cannot recommend highly enough. Price per person including wine £40 ish

During our recent holiday in The Cotswolds we were looking forward to a nice lunch after a walk to the Broadway Tower. Luckily a couple was leaving so the six of us had a table by the window. Although it smelled a bit musty when we entered, we had a lovely extensive meal here. Definitely recommended!

Pre booked and asked for a quiet table. Put on a table next to 3 other tables when plenty of corner tables. Plates on table were used and had food remnants on them which puts you off eating immediately. Restaurant was cold so we had to keep our coats on Ordered a desert that only 5 minutes later I was told I can't have it, staff should be aware of things unavailable Shame as food generally good

Noisy - not at all relaxing, food was tasty enough and staff nice. Average wine was horribly overpriced for the quality.spent far more here for an ctually a below average experience.

Pub is situated in the village,has it's own fairly small carpark, pub has a bar and restaurant, good selection of draught beers, service is friendly, food excellent, slightly above my price range but still good value for the quality,my pizza was homemade and very nice, fish and chips looked good, Good sunny outside areas,Recommend a visit 👍

Higher end bar and restaurant. Comfortable seating in a well lit space. Food is priced on the higher side. Good bar service and great drink choices. Lovely place to rest when visiting Broadway.

Very busy but it was Cheltenham. Seem to have taken over as the place to go in Broadway

Fabulous lunch in a gorgeous pub. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, both in terms of accommodating us as a walk in or friendliness. Will definitely go again but would suggest booking to avoid disappointment as very popular.

Lovely pub. Dogs welcome also. Only had a couple of drinks, staff very friendly in there. Never tried the food this time but the menu looked good and good prices.

Beautiful pub in a gorgeous Cotswold village. The food, drinks and service were all superb. Definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Greeting from whom i assume may have been the manager was less than welcoming. She told us the table wasn't big enough for a potential food order but offered no alternatives. We took the risk and it was fine but made us feel a little like we weren't welcome. I've been in before and other staff were always helpful and friendly so maybe just a bad day.

We had 2 roasts today and my sister had to send hers back the parsnips not cooked and the staff were good and replaced the meal and I didn't like having a big piece of chicken on the plate it would of looked much nicer if the meat had been sliced nice and the beef was hard and the belly pork was nasty just fat .I couldn't eat it. It was a shame it was for my sisters birthday. And we eat out alot . Sometimes smaller amount and nicer meat is the way to go , sorry to say we won't be eating here again

We were up last weekend from London for two nights, ate both nights in the restaurant, what a great time we had, food was first class, Sunday roast was excellent especially the roasties! All the staff were very friendly and accommodating, well done, we will be back!! Rodge & Gail Brown

First time there yesterday and it was an experience, honestly! The food I had was cooked, seasoned and presented perfectly! The cider my boyfriend and I tried was gorgeous! The service was also really good (served by Harry). I highly recommend this place!

Had really nice evening on valentines. They fitted us and the dog in and really nice three course set meal great value and very tasty. Would return.

Unprofessional customer service, they served me and my friend 4 cocktails which were not cheap. We then wanted to order one more for each one of us and they refused to serve us without a valid reason. We’ve spoken with the manager and he also refused without explaining what the reason is behind this. I feel extremely upset for being treated this way especially as it was my friend’s birthday. I will never come here again.

Really enjoyed our lunch at The Swan. We were from Banbury joined by friends who had travelled from Salisbury, so we were all very happy with the food, the service and the surroundings. Will definitely be returning.

Went for Sunday lunch today with inlaws and thoroughly enjoyed the Sunday lunch sharing option for two. Great value for money, more than enough food for two and equally great service. Would recommend and we'll be back again.

Really enjoyed our visit for lunch here. Great cask beers and lovely food. Open fire in the restaurant contributed to a really good atmosphere. Probably best to book as we went on a Friday lunchtime and it was packed. The locals and tourists had spotted it was a good place to visit.

Food was overpowering and if you like sharing your food with a strangers dog then this is the place for you! Not good by any standards and overtaken by the canine fraterninty.

Quite a busy restaurant, booked for a table of 4 and managed to knock the light down, as it was ill- positioned (in my opinion) the food was good but not "gastro" service was good, and (again in my opinion) worth a visit.

The Swan in Broadway is a local pub/restaurant to us. We’ve been a couple of times since moving to the area, and it’s always a 5* experience from us. We’ve been on a Sunday and have a sharing roast dinner which was incredible. Recently, we went for dinner and the service and food didn’t disappoint again. Ben, our waiter was brilliant.

Had a lovely lunch with friends

On my own for Thursday lunch. Great welcome from both the bar and restaurant staff. I hadn’t made a reservation , but a table was quickly found in the restaurant, in spite of being busy. Food excellent. Good scallops starter, followed by sea bass. Perfectly cooked and efficiently served by waiter Harry. Good cheeseboard and adequate selection of wines “by the glass”. Ambiance excellent. Much better value than The Lyon Arms, close by.

Very warm and welcoming, catered very well with my wife in her wheelchair especially as it was very busy. Food was delicious and overall was a great start to our Christmas festivities

Our server Ann Marie was super-helpful and attentive without being intrusive, for our business lunch. Very impressed with the food, as always and the Rose and Raspberry soda was just the ticket for a lunchtime. Will be back to use my membership benefits now I have joined their loyalty scheme. We’re locals in the village and absolutely love coming down here. The port and cheddar mushrooms for starter and the ribeye steak for my main, which was cooked to perfection. The food is always great, and the service from Sophie was amazing – so friendly and attentive. Everything came out quickly, and it was just a really lovely experience. We couldn’t recommend it enough to anyone visiting the area.

Took my husband for his birthday on 9th January at lunch time. We had a main meal and pudding. The food was beautifully presented and was delicious. We ate in the restaurant which was nice and cosy for a cold day and the atmosphere was pleasant. We were served by Harry (who was very busy) but he made sure that we had everything we needed at all times. Definitely worth a visit and we will be back again soon.

We recently visited The Swan. We, and our dogs were very well looked after. Food was delicious. Waiting staff were very attentive, and especially patient with the elderly lady in our party, who can get a little confused when ordering. I’d recommend getting peppercorn sauce to accompany the steak and chips!

Dined here a few weeks ago. What an absolutely fabulous meal enjoyed by all 4 of us. We were looked after impeccably by a lovely host called Sarah who I thought was giving us top star treatment but later noticed she was the same to another couple nearby. 100% recommend this to anyone visiting the area. Food was 10/10 and the experience was enhanced by such pleasant and accommodating staff. Thank you Sarah. I do hope this feedback is shared and you receive recognition for the way you looked after us all. Well done Gaz

What a little gem we found. I went with a group for dinner and the food was both varied and delicious. I especially loved the puddings, Sarah's melons are just the best.

Excellent service, and beautiful setting. They accommated a table switch to a very comfy set of armchairs. The food was brilliant, really really tasty, especially the full trio of roasts that we had!

Went for dinner. Service was good, and staff were welcoming, friendly and attentive. Food was just about average though and fairly bland in taste. Was quite strange being in a beautiful circa 14th century pub with early 2000s house music playing in the restaurant. This was quite off-putting. Would not go back for food, but drinks would be OK in the bar area.

Visited the Swan inn after many recommendations. The food quality for the price didn’t meet the standard. Unfortunately one of the dishes we had to return as it just wasn’t an enjoyable meal - for a surf and turf it was extremely chewy. The staff were okay about this and took it off the bill however we won’t be returning for a number of other reasons. We booked the table online for 7 o’clock and were told twice that it would ready shortly. After a 20 minute wait the table was finally ready. Just not what you expect for a pre-booked table and there was no seating in the bar which meant standing around for 20 minutes. Overall the apology received didn’t quite cover the poor experience we had. It’s a real shame as the reviews seemed really positive.

Visited for a family meal while staying just outside of Broadway. The restaurant has a main bar area to the front which is dog friendly (not my cup of tea) but with a restaurant section to the rear where pets are not allowed. We sat at the rear and were greeted by a traditional low beamed ceilinged room featuring a very welcoming real fire that added to the cosy feel of the place. We ordered mixed breads and olives to start with a round of drinks. These were served nice and quickly and we were allowed plenty of time to enjoy them before they were cleared away and our mains brought. We had a varied mix of meals for mains between us. I had the half rotisserie chicken with fries, my wife had the three cheese and mushroom pizza. Our eldest had the ribeye steak and our youngest had the dirty burger. The chicken I had was absolutely lovely, it was served with a honey glaze, a gravy type sauce and really nice fries. The steak was ordered medium and was cooked perfectly, this came with chunky chips and an excellent peppercorn sauce. The dirty burger was also really good with the smashed patties and brisket topping all being very good. My wife's pizza was excellent with a goodly amount of toppings and a very nice crispy base. We had a mix of wines, beers and soft drinks throughout the meal all of which were served really well. The staff were lovely and friendly and the restaurant was nice and clean. All in all a lovely restaurant and well worth a visit if in Broadway.

Really nice decor in the restaurant. The 3 of us enjoyed our lunch very much. Only shame was you had to have the 3 courses on their Festive Menu, which we couldn't manage, & no mulled wine on the menu!

Eat here quite often. Good food and good service always. The restaurant has a warm and welcoming atmosphere , the maitre de is very good as are the rest of the staff.

My partner and I visited last night for the first time. We will be back. The food was delicious, and the service was lovely, especially the very happy young girl (17 I think she said) who served us. She was funny, polite, and attentive. Parking is easy. If I have one complaint, if you're sat next to a noisy group, which we were because there is little in the way of soft furnishings to soak up sound, it's hard to hear each other over the noise but it didn't spoil our evening. Also, the village itself is gorgeous and well worth a wander around. Sadly, because it was so busy I didn't get any pictures.

We had the Wine and Dine which was beautiful, however, we asked if we could choose a MUCH cheaper bottle of wine but still willing to pay the full price, absolutely no issue with that. Unfortunately, this was declined. The wine on offer was not to our taste and as such didn’t really enjoy the experience albeit it was still excellent value. To be fair, if that’s my only gripe, that I was forced to drink a much more expensive bottle of wine it can’t be all bad. I think next time we’ll give the wine and dine a miss.

Fabulous dinner with my hubby during our stay in Broadway Superb food, lovely relaxed and chilled atmosphere in the bar and restaurant area. Really spoilt for choice on the menu. My husband is a massive scallop fan and said they were the best he’d ever tasted!… praise indeed! Friendly attentive staff. The outside was decorated very nicely for Christmas.. we left there feeling starting to feel it was nearly Christmas!!

Fish smelt old, goats cheese tart too sweet and lacking cheese, bar service poor, welcome non existent. Table waitress was good, sharing board also, but not likely to return.

Wonderful food and atmosphere! We ordered from the Festive menu, and savored every bite. We especially liked the sea bass! This place is obviously favored by locals and had a nice buzz to it well past 10:00. Our server, Ann Marie, was informative and very attentive. It was definitely a 5 star dining experience!

The vibe when we came into the restaurant was immediately chaotic and that proved to be the case for the duration of our meal. We had a booking at 18:45 and weren't able to finally pay and leave until nearly 22:00. The service was remarkably slow, and we had multiple instances where drinks orders were forgotten and had to be reordered. Trying to pay at the end of the meal took nearly half an hour as wait staff consistently ignored us attempting to get their attention. Throughout the meal the wait staff made us hand them our plates (they stood in front of us and just held out their hands) and also passed our plates (often very hot) into our hands. The position of the table wasn't the easiest to navigate, but they chose to put the table there, so that is on them. The food was mostly good. The roasts were very nice. However, my soup had a thick skin on it, which I assumed was from sitting under a heat lamp, and my partner's burger was extremely tough and dry. It was her birthday meal, and it's safe to say that it was a huge disappointment.

Generally great and the food and service was pretty good but some of the roast potatoes had skins like cardboard from being kept in the warmer for too long. We only noticed towards the end of our meal and mentioned it before paying and we got an apology but were told we should have said something sooner. Other than that the food was great. Dauphinoise potatoes were sublime as was the Valrhona brownie. Crackling was superb. Meats and veg were OK and the beef was the star of the show.
