swagat is a lovely restaurant to enjoy the most amazing food, between us all we tried all different variety from the menu…. And we were not disappointed the aroma from the food no words to describe, it was that good that we ended up ordering food to take back home, (we travelled from London) and Kieran our host was amazing with her lovely bubbly personality, she made sure we were well looked after. Well done to the chefs who cooked these amazing dishes……and let’s not forget about the amazing cocktails, definitely will be coming back especially to unwind from home.

Stumbled across this unassuming gem located on the high street in Hythe. We were welcomed in right away by Kieran, who made us feel right at home. We ordered a variety of items on the menu and everything exceeded our expectations. The food was absolutely delicious, and homemade at that. The quality of the food, the hospitality showed by Kieran, and the location make this a must visit!!

I have visited this this restaurant on many different occasions and have always been amazed with the level of professionalism and friendliness from the staff here. I have always felt welcome and that the staff go above and beyond for you. The food is delicious and obviously cooked with pride from the chefs. I would highly recommended this place to dine and want to personally thank Kieran for making my birthday meal so special this October x

Really enjoyed our meal on a Thursday evening at Swagat. With a warm welcome, drinks and poppadums to start, the 4 of us were given time to choose starters and mains. Mogo and momo made for very different but delicious starters, followed by goat curry, two chicken dishes and a fish dish with garlic. All very flavoursome. We didn’t have space for desserts but all in all with the friendly service and great food we had a lovely evening. Reasonable price too. Will definitely be back.

Lovely restaurant, superb food and service, very friendly and knowledgeable. Ordered the goat curry, butter chicken, nann, pilau rice and jeera rice. All dishes were excellent. Will definitely return soon

This is our third visit to Swagat and it was so good to see the restaurant almost full. The service was efficient and the staff so friendly & helpful. The popadoms were fresh and crisp. Our starter was plenty to share - cassava was new to me - a lovely texture and seasoned beautifully with African spices. My goat curry was delicious, as always and the sizzling mixed grill yummy. We really enjoyed our visit and will be back.

I don’t usually write reviews unless they are exceptional. This evening we visited Swagat for the first time. My goodness the food did not disappoint,it truly was on another level. It was so worth the wait. So much food, piping hot and the flavours indescribable. I can highly recommend. We will be returning.

Excellent, authentic food and great service. Unusual menu with genuinely different choices of dishes from a standard Asian restaurant; the Mount Makalu Chicken was very tasty. Comfortable atmosphere and not rushed at all; made to feel very welcome. Well worth a visit!

My elderly mum and I were out for a wander and happened upon this place by accident. What a lucky accident! We had the most amazing lunch: the food was outstanding; probably the best curry-type food that I have ever had. The service was also excellent, attentive without being intrusive, and the restaurant has a lovely atmosphere with a very calm and warm feeling to it. Honestly, nothing could have been any better. We came away very happy indeed!

Best curry house I have found in the area. The goat curry and chili chicken starter are stand outs!! The naan is also perfect.

My partner took me here for Valentines Absolutely beautiful food. Perfect service. Great atmosphere. Clean and fresh. I can’t wait to go back. The curry goat and chilli chicken was amazing ❤️

Had a take out from here last night . It was absolutely delightful and good portion sizes. We had a drink in the restaurant while we waited for our order and were made to feel very welcome. We will be going to eat in next time .

We were actually out for our normal Friday night visit to the cygnet bar for drinks have visited the restaurant a couple of times .We decided last night to get a takeaway it was amazing as always hot and very tasty the staff are lovely and I would say one of the best restaurants in Hythe keep up the wonderful things you do

Visited there for lunch. Very friendly and welcoming staff. The food was served hot and very good value. It was also really delicious. We couldn't finish all of it so the staff kindly packed what was left into takeaway for us, which we stupidly forgot to take with us. We would highly recommend and will be visiting again.

We visited the Swagat on Saturday 27th to celebrate a special anniversary, our first visit after recommendations from friends. We couldn`t have asked for a better venue, the food was excellent and Mine Hostess was very attentive. We shall certainly be back. Thank you the Swagat, John & Mandy

Tried the Swagat on a Saturday lunch time and had a brilliant meal. ~`we both had the Goat curry and Jeera rice which was perfectly cooked and full of flavour. Service was great and was provided by a young man who was also able to engage in a conversation around my favourite sport cricket. We will definitely be returning.

I found that this lovely place is not only for evening but perfect for lunch when you're hungry! Will bring my hubby! My jalfrezi was def tasty. Naans were soft which is what I like! Must try their huge thali night!! Thanks Kiran x

High quality food in a nice setting. Very good value. So glad I decided to try. The menu has very clear allergy guidance which is excellent and a stand out for the area.

This new Indian restaurant is an excellent addition to Hythe High Street. The food was lovely, with spice hot or mild to taste, and delicious crisp bhajis and soft naan bread. Very helpful and friendly service too made it a most enjoyable meal out.
