We booked a Sunday lunch here for 5. We were greeted in a professional and warm manner. Nothing was too much trouble. We had the window seating which was perfect for watching the world go by on a cold December day. The Sunday iunch offered beef, pork, lamb or chicken. We chose a mixture of beef and pork, both cooked the way they should be. There was a full range of fresh vegetables. The roast potatoes were crispy on the outside and fluffy within, the Yorkshire pudding deserved a plate of its own! One of our party had eaten here previously so was able to recommend a lovely red wine from Chile. Will return for sure. Highly recommended.

We dined here on Friday evening for my father-in-law's birthday celebration, and little did we know the treat we had in store.. The menu offers good variety of tried and tested house favourites, to suit every palate, in addition to a constantly changing specials board. Think British gastro-pub but then elevated some. Everything was clearly cooked in house to exacting standards by an excellent chef team, who I understand have worked with the owner for years, witnessed in the quality and consistency of every dish served. The prices are very reasonable and service isn't added but I'd defy anyone not to want to add something at the end. Mandy leads front of house, and was utterly charming. She really made his evening and his birthday generally. Faultless hospitality. My FIL has lived in Dymchurch for the last fifteen years, and it's the best meal he's had, plus he says the best lamb dish he's had in 88 years. What more to say? Literally can't wait to go back.

Low this place. First time for two of our friends. All three courses selected were excellent. Staff and service worth that little bit extra.

Have visited a few times-many times previously when the proprietors owned the Bell. Am guilty of ordering Dovey’s chicken several times as I love it. The trio of cheese hotpot is a great starter and another favourite. There is always a specials board, and something for everyone. The staff are welcoming and the owner delightful.

My husband and I had a lovely meal here last night (Saturday). There were plenty of dishes to choose from on the menu and also the specials board, the service was quick and all the waitresses were very friendly and attentive. The food was excellent, everything cooked perfectly, decent sized portions and not too expensive either. The restaurant was clean and comfortable, and the tables were nicely spaced out. We would definitely recommend this restaurant and will be visiting again.

Lovely atmosphere and staff, excellent roast lunch today, the roast pork was sublime and more than enough veg to accompany our meals. This restaurant is also brilliant at providing gluten and dairy free options for my wife, for that we are most grateful.

We have known the proprietor for many years and followed them through each of their restaurants. This site opened just before Covid struck. It was so good to see the business had survived gthe past 18months and were now open and apparently thriving. It was full. The welcome was great. The service too. Good food well cooked and presented. Lovely evening out.

My wife and I came for lunch today. On arrival we were made extremely welcome by all members of staff. Both the lunchtime and main menu were varied and to suit all tastes plus very reasonably priced. Our food was well cooked and presented and a delight to eat. Our waitress Roanna was very attentive and extremely knowledgeable regarding the menu on offer. Although my wife and I have been to the restaurant before this was our first visit at lunchtime. If you are ever in the area Doveys & Moore is a must visit and I am sure you will not be disappointed.

Charming family-run restaurant. They let me walk in although I think they prefer bookings. It was a busy evening so a slight wait to be served, but the food was excellent and generous.

We stopped here on a Saturday night expecting to be told that they were full but we were delighted that they could offer a table but there would be a bit of a delay. We were happy to wait as the menu looked good although we have waited longer just to be served in other restaurants. Good communication and expectation management is a very good start and unsurprisingly the level of service was great and very friendly throughout. The food was also good, the cheese hotpot was a great dish and the local fish pie looked great and was clearly very popular. We were too full for a desert but judging by the reactions from other diners they were as good as the savoury courses

6 of us visited on Saturday night, lovely restaurant and atmosphere and a fantastic menu. We all thought our meals were wonderful. I had the crispy chilli beef which was delicious and they also had the most amazing garlic bread on the menu, with prawns and bacon, it was lovely. The portions were all really generous and unfortunately we didn’t have room for dessert. Nice to see local Tenterden wine on the menu too. Great to see the chef at the end so we could applaud her (think her name was Claire). Wish I lived nearer to come here more often but will definitely visit again soon.

This venue have missed a trick by not offering a decent range of allergy alternatives, not hard to achieve in this day and age just think outside the box, instead of trying to offer copy cat food offer products which champion the allergy, this would then elevate the overall appeal of the venue.

Such lovely food yet the service let you down. The lamb was cooked well and fell apart. Naan bread thin, crispy and tasty. Great flavours all round, Sadly we seemed to have been overlooked during our dining. We were offered one drink in the 1 hour and 45 minutes we sat in the restaurant. We also didn’t receive the chef’s complimentary amuse bouches, despite seeing other tables having them. We weren’t offered dessert or coffees either. Upon payment of the bill we did mention the service to the waiter, he said they were understaffed. Such a shame!

We went to Anna’s tearoom for my friends surprise 30th Birthday. It was fabulous!!!! We had the whole tearooms to ourselves and the staff were so lovely and went over and above to make it extra special for us. Nothing was too much trouble for them and the afternoon tea was beautiful best I’ve had, would definitely recommend this lovely tearoom xxxx
