Lovely quirky bar with friendly hosts and a good selection of drinks. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the local area.

We booked a Sunday lunch here for 5. We were greeted in a professional and warm manner. Nothing was too much trouble. We had the window seating which was perfect for watching the world go by on a cold December day. The Sunday iunch offered beef, pork, lamb or chicken. We chose a mixture of beef and pork, both cooked the way they should be. There was a full range of fresh vegetables. The roast potatoes were crispy on the outside and fluffy within, the Yorkshire pudding deserved a plate of its own! One of our party had eaten here previously so was able to recommend a lovely red wine from Chile. Will return for sure. Highly recommended.

Such lovely food yet the service let you down. The lamb was cooked well and fell apart. Naan bread thin, crispy and tasty. Great flavours all round, Sadly we seemed to have been overlooked during our dining. We were offered one drink in the 1 hour and 45 minutes we sat in the restaurant. We also didn’t receive the chef’s complimentary amuse bouches, despite seeing other tables having them. We weren’t offered dessert or coffees either. Upon payment of the bill we did mention the service to the waiter, he said they were understaffed. Such a shame!

Lovely homemade roasties and Yorkshire puddings. There was plenty of meat and fresh vegetables. The staff were lovely and welcoming and the bar had a good selection of non alcoholic beers. There’s plenty of elbow room to enjoy your food, instead of being squashed in. I would definitely recommend and we will definitely be returning.
