We were a party of 16 celebrating an engagement! We all had a drink in the bar then taken to long table in a private part of the restaurant. The service was very attentive and the food delicious. The portions very generous and the food all came out the same time for all of us. The happy couple and grandpa was treated to a complementary cocktail to celebrate the happy occasion. We didn’t feel rushed and really enjoyed our evening with Shon as our head waiter. The food was so good!!

We ordered food from this restaurant and when the lamb dish arrived it was just 3 large bones and sauce without any meat.When I called the restaurant they said the driver must have eaten it on the way and that this happens a lot.They said they would replace the food but not redeliver.

Shon and his team looked after us wonderfully well, and the food was delicious. Far more interesting than an average Indian restaurant, all freshly cooked and beautifully served. We all wish we lived nearer!

A fantastic evening hosted by Shon and the team at Sangam Bowdon. Everyone paid great attention to us as a family especially taking care with the food as one of us has a nut allergy. The food was delicious. Definitely recommend.

From getting to the door and leaving, the staff were so friendly and prompt, made sure we got our food quick and made me and my friends smile, especially our server Shon, he was amazing The food was also the best Indian I have ever had, I don’t normally review but I will definitely be back soon!

Great food and service from Shon. Food was cooked fresh and able to me made more / less spicy if we wanted. Poppadoms and dips on the house to start. Shots also provided at the end free of charge. Overall a really nice time out. Great atmosphere, service and food at a very good price!

This used to be our favourite place. There used to be a lovely person at the restaurant or on the phone and the food was lovely even if overpriced. Something has changed. The same food is inedible now. The person on the phone hangs up before the order is finished; the order is late with no compensation and with such quality prices are unjustifiable. If I pay such price, I'd like to be able to eat the food... A drastic change is needed before we dare to ever come back or recommend this place.

Fantastic food and really really friendly staff. Our waiter was lovely and recommended a gorgeous off-menu dish which we’ll be sure to ask for again! I’ve been many times and I’m sure I’ll be back many more.

What an amazing restaurant with fantastic staff followed with fabulous food. Came for my friends birthday they even brought ice cream out with a sparkler. Would highly reccomend it to all. A* service I have had no issues every time I have been here.

The meal we had was a brilliant blend of cuisine, we booked in advance and the hospitality was really well delivered. Staff are delightful just like the choice and variety of food and drink. If you're in the area and craving a well presented and rounded meal, this is the place. My compliments to the chef and respect to our Server Shapon!

Had an amazing birthday bash with some friends, Shon our server was absolutely incredible, fast, friendly service with great chat. Absolutely will be back again. The food was also lovely.

Wow, what a brilliant restaurant! The staff are beyond helpful and incredibly friendly, the food is absolutely delicious and the service is outstanding. My girlfriend and I went randomly midweek because we both fancied a curry night and we were in awe of the high quality standard that was provided. Cannot recommend this place highly enough!

Extremely disappointing takeaway. The quality of the meat in the mixed platter was diabolical. The chicken in the biriyani was very dry, as if it was cooked the day before. And the chicken masala tasted as if it was made with a tin of tomato soup. Naan bread soggy. Just a complete waste of money and time. Most of it has ended up in the bin. Never again!

We love Sangam, it's a family favourite. Food, service, location are all excellent. The staff couldn't be friendlier, they always make you fee so welcome. Great place to celebrate a birthday too.

Favourite indian in the local area. Best food, best service and great decor. Cant explain how good the food and menu are here, the chef won a UK curry award a few years ago and it really shows. Reasonably priced for the quality of the food. Shon and Saapon were particularly great staff members, reccomending dishes that were fantastic.

I got married on the 29th of July and chose this venue to host my reception meal for my friends and family and all I can say is that I was blown away !The service was outstanding, the food was amazing. We were taken care of so well and very looked after. This restaurant will be our go to from here and now. The restaurant were amazing at catering to my vegan and vegetarian friends also. There was something for everyone, the mango lassi and mock tails were amazing too !! And the Manager Shon, he is the guy that made it all happen. If it wasn’t for him, and our first interaction with him I don’t think we would’ve picked this restaurant. He is the reason why I love it there now. Shon, thank you for everything you did for me and my Husband. Because of you, Sangam Bowden will hold a very sentimental place in our hearts !

I visited with my 3 friends on the weekend and we all loved it. Food was delicious, staff were extremely friendly and kind, always checking in if everything’s okay. I would 100% say the staff are like family and treat all customers as family. My go to place for an Indian. 5 star.

We were looking for an Indian restaurant in Hale/Altrincham with a difference, when we came across Sangam. The staff are extremely friendly, the food delicious, and good value. We enjoyed trying some new dishes that we hadn't seen on other restaurants' menu. We won't hesitate to return.

Gorgeous food and service. Not sure why this restaurant is so quiet. Chicken in the curry was of great quality and clear top quality ingredients used. Garlic naan could be more flavoursome and moist, chutney tray charged per person which can become expensive should be a fixed fee but overall great experience.

After a day of showers and other unpleasant experiences, it was a surprise and a pleasure to be able to sit outside at this excellent restaurant. The welcome was as warm as the evening and the service was attentive. Shapon was very nice to meet and a credit to his employers and the group of restaurants.We are very fortunate to have food and people of South Asian origin in Britain to help us to add to our culinary choices. This Indian food was a little different to the many dishes we have tried elsewhere and delightfully so.

Moved to Bowdon a couple of months ago. Had a meal at Sangam with family.Fabulous food, service and Covid awareness. Our son in law who knows this cuisine well rated it very highly.The staff were welcoming and professional. Tha restaurant is very welcoming both inside and out. Shapon was especially helpful.We will definately return.

We visited Sangam to celebrate by Son's birthday. The decor is very good with both indoor and outdoor sitting facility. Staff were very helpful and polite. Food was yummy and i absolutly loved their almond kulfi. Will definately go again.

I ordered a chicken shishlak takeaway and it was absolutely superb, piping hot and full of taste, it was a generous portion and I have put half to one side for another meal.I cannot praise the staff enough, they are welcoming, super polite and leave you wanting to return again and again, would I go back? I certainly would!

Arrived in the early evening for a drink and snacks with family. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and polite. Drinks were reasonably priced and the poppadoms were fresh and tasty. We were given a generous portion. Will definitely return. Shon was particularly welcoming.

We visited Sangam after being told how good the food and atmosphere was, and we were not disappointed! We shared the vegetarian starter for two, which was not only delicious, the presentation was superb.Then followed Tinda Chingri with fresh King Prawns, and mushroom rice to share. Portion sizes lend themselves perfectly to sharing. Next trip to Bowdon will see us eating here again - very much recommended.

Only tried the Sangam once before by takeaway and finally got round to booking a table. Food was very good (plenty of it) and all the staff very friendly and welcoming.

Amazing taste and lovely ambience Only thing is worth for money..quantity I too less to be sufficient to one person against the pricr offered..we ordered sabji a main portion ,dal but it all came out too less to be enough foreven one person.may be they can think to revise the prices based on quantity and serve the quantity atleast sufficient enough.

Lovely food and good heated outdoor space, very friendly chatty staff especially Shaun. Couldn’t recommend it enough and can’t wait to come back for another vegetarian platter.

Excellent place for an exquisite authentic Indian meal or even just a drink or two. Great for all ages but especially 30's to 50's. The staff are all pleasant and polite, can't do enough for you. Lovely outside area, sun trap for that tan. Food is always spot on, can't recommend the Sangam highly enough.

I live opposite the Sangam restaurant and enjoy a couple of takeaways a week. The staff are lovely, polite and very honest people. They are strict with the Covid 19 rules which makes me feel safe. There are a lot of coming and goings with people collecting takeaways especially delivroo men, I notice as they park outside my house.i can't wait for the restaurant to reopen as its one of my favourite places. I live opposite sangam, it’s open for take away food only, there are people in and out all the time, and delivery drivers. They are strict Indian people, i have not noticed anything untoward, apart from polite people picking up food. Excellent food and nice polite staff.

Sangam is a quality and professional restaurant valued by the local community and further afield.I often call there for a takeaway and have always experienced v good customer service and the covid 19 rules are being adhered to. Nobody visiting other than the public collecting their Take-out food and delivery drivers. All masked and socially distanced. No sign of any imaginary drinking parties. Friends live in close proximity and no sigh of any late night gatherings whatsoever. So why write this review Mejor123.... it’s unfair and unkind to make a false review for a business serving excellent food during these difficult times. Thank you Sangam !

I have been coming to the Sangam since it opened and now due to COVID I can only have a takeaway. The food is fantastic and the staff are friendly and kind. The staff and owner have kept to the government restrictions and Covid rules. I am a local neighbour and I can’t wait until the restaurant re-opens for food and drinks.

I have lived opposite the Sangham Resturant for two years. I regularly enjoy takeaway meals. The staff are friendly, polite and honest and deliver fantastic food. It’s very busy with coming and goings which are people collecting their takeaways and especially deliveroo men. I particularly notice as they quite often park outside my house. These activities are especially busy at the weekends. Margaret

I been to sangam this Saturday it was very busy so many people waiting for takeout. I am surprised that they strictly maintain COVID-19 rules. All the customers and drivers were in the queue with 2 miter distance. The food was fabulous. Thanks sangam team for give me such a lovely food.

I do some remedial work 3 or 4 times a week in the evenings for the Sangam. The staff are nice, genuine honest people who serve great food be it take away or eat in. Sadly the restaurant is closed at the moment which is a real shame. I'm at a loss as to understand why 'Mr' has made such a comment which is totally false.

went to sangham ,for the second time tonight ,and had a lovely curry again,our waiter maddy was very polite , and made a desert for my sons birthday on the house ,which was very nice , all covid freindly , with sanitisers all over, highly recommended .

i love sangam so much. i live in los angeles and wish there was a sangam here! whenever i am home to visit my family, i cannot wait to go. the restaurant is beautiful and the food is exquisite. everyone is so kind that works there. they go the extra mile and it really shows.today is my father's birthday and they are going to sangam to celebrate. i called and spoke to a lovely man named maddy and asked if i could pay over the phone as a surprise for my parents. he organized it so beautifully and kindly and i could not be more thrilled that we managed to do it. thank you maddy!!!!!all my best, justine

Booked a very last minute table on a Saturday night, but the staff couldn't have been nicer. Very easy going, even when we wanted to arrive earlier than booked. The restaurant is very nicely designed and incredibly clean, which is reassuring in these times. The dining area is very comfortable and relaxed aswell.The food was impeccable, I couldn't find anything wrong with it! The Samosas were very nicely presented and tasted amazing, along with all the curries our table had. To make it even better, we were gifted with some free ice cream!!The staff were absolutely amazing. Very polite and incredibly helpful. We were served by a gentleman that I believe was called Shon. Thankyou for a lovely meal!!

I love the Sangam Indian Restaurant in Bowdon, the staff greet you upon arrival with such warmth! They really are so pleased to see you and it’s so welcoming when you enter the Restaurant.I ordered a Chicken Shaslick with Pilau rice Takeaway this evening and it was superb! Plenty of hot chicken and not so much peppers or tomatoes filling out the dish as other nameless Indian takeaways do, there was lots of chicken in this dish. The Pilau rice was also superb and very fresh.I can’t praise this restaurant enough and they deserve 10/10 .

Will definitely be returning. I absolutely loved the food, and the bhajis were amazing, some of the best I've had. Shon was our primary waiter, and he hit the perfect medium between attentive and over the top, asked us enough to attend our needs, but left us enough to get on and enjoy our meal. All the staff were wonderful. Couldn't ask for more. The food was great. Well worth a visit.

I went with my friend to dine in. Although there was a wait due to the eat out scheme, we were given a table to wait at and served drinks. They also have the menu so we wouldn’t have to wait long once we got a table. The food was amazing and presented really nicely. Toilets were clean and regularly sanitised. They also had hand lotion, very thoughtful!! Staff were very accommodating to our needs and very friendly. I would visit again!!

We went as a spontaneous family trip which proved to be a good move. We had great food and I would particularly recommend the Cylon Garlic Chilli which was truly fantastic. Furthermore the service was fast and our server Shon was wonderful making our meal even more enjoyable. Thank you.

There really was not a single thing to complain about. The food is delicious and at a good price, Our waiter Shon was very friendly and welcoming, the ambience inside is relaxed and there is an area to sit outside in good weather and lucky for me I just moved into a house around the corner from this place. I will certainly be making this my regular and look forward to going back.

We went for a tasty Sunday evening treat and that’s exactly what we got !!For someone who cooks this cuisine at home and also has family around who are experts at cooking the food was superb at Sangam .Other than food the service , restaurant ambience and drinks were all amazing .We had a kur Kuri bhindhi for our nibbles with drinks which I had never tasted before and beautifully presented array of starters and desserts . The main courses were all shared and the fish curry and aubergine in particular were yummy. There is no doubt that if I want to eat a curry in Manchester I would only go to sangam . Please visit it and have the dinner if your dreams .

We had a fantastic dinner where the lamb dishes (curries and briyani) were cooked to perfection! Lamb were served in a generous portion and tender in texture. The chili garlic naan was so fragrant! I had a lovely meal here with my son tonight. The food was delicious, especially the salmon curry, and our waiter, Shon, was very friendly and helpful. I cannot understand the negative review below - we had no problems at all with the 50% offer and of course you are asked for contact details, it's part of the track and trace scheme!

Superb restaurant. This is the second time we have visited this restaurant two weeks. The food, ambience and service are all exceptional. We sat outside and there is a comfortable seating area and the staff were most attentive and friendly. Inside is wonderful too. I would highly recommend. As a fussy eater who does not like spicy food the waiter, Shon, talked through the dishes and ensured that my dish was freshly prepared with not too much spice, it was delicious as were the popadoms and the bread. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his meals too.

This was one of the first dinner dates with my girlfriend since the lockdown and it was definitely the right pick! The food was absolutely gorgeous and right for our palate as we ordered 3 lamb dishes. It melted on our tongues and the briayni was very fragrant and perfectly spiced. We had two fantastic waiters catering for us, Munib & Shon. I even managed to spill my half pint of beer and got a new one on the house. I highly recommend this place and this is absolutely one of the more authentic indian cuisines I've had.

I phoned just to check they were doing the half price dining, they said they were so I booked a table. The papadom’s we’re stale, we ordered a mix of starters to share, the tikka chops weren’t quite right. They stood at the till point and it felt like they were watching you eat. One of the waiters asked an 8 year old girl for her number, which at first you laughed but when he did it again felt very wrong . When I asked for the bill it was full price, so I questioned it, they changed it but asked for email details etc because they would have to claim it back from the government and said you should have booked online, he should have told me that when I rang. They shouldn’t have put themselves in the government scheme if they don’t want to play by the rules. Food wasn’t great at all.Won’t be eating there again.

I don't write reviews very often but the superb meal that I had last night has compelled me to. Superb food matched by the service. Our waiter Shon was charming and efficient and took the time to explain East Indian food. What followed the explanation delivered on that. Complex and beautifully spiced we ordered chicken tikka, bhagi, lamb rogan Josh and bengali seabase curry. Took this picture to confirm I had not imagined it.

Sangams is such a great restaurant with incredible food. An Indian is mine and my boyfriends favourite cuisine and Sangams goes above and beyond in terms of service, atmosphere AND food. Specifically great peshwari naan. 1000% recommend for groups of friends and families plus Shon and Uncle were extremely welcoming and friendly!
