An amazing spot a short walk from the seafront! The service was fantastic, the food was lovely and very reasonably priced, and the accessibility was also excellent! A nice wide doorway with a very even ramp straight into the café. We came as a family with a preschool child, and were all able to find something to enjoy.

I had been walking along the seafront enjoying the sights and sounds and smells of retro seaside summer holiday nostalgia ...remember many seaside holidays as a child in the 1960's I needed a cuppa ,and Suzie's Cup of Joy looked so inviting .So in I went . I was tempted by the delicious looking cakes on display ,but finally settled for just a pot of lemon and ginger tea .The little teapot was brown ( very traditional ) and a "proper" cut and saucer . Just what I needed ...

In a town overrun by fish and chip restaurants (which are amazing) this lovely cafe is a welcome treat!! We had two hot sandwiches and a kids meal plus two cakes and coffees. We found ourselves in Cleethorpes for the day and so checked TripAdvisor for a place to have lunch. Suzies was near the top of the list. Firstly, I have to admit that without the positive TripAdvisor reviews we would have walked straight past this place. The decor is a little tired but the owner has the challenge of being in an old building and as an independent obviously doesn’t have the budget to spend on decor that the big coffee shop chains have. All that said, the food was very good - we had sandwiches/paninis, coffee and cakes - reasonably priced. The girl behind the counter was pleasant. I feel that we should support independent cafes where we can, provided they’re providing good quality food. Suzies is doing that so we would definitely return if we’re in the area.

We visited Suzie’s cup of joy while on an overnight break. The café was clean, bright and the cakes looked amazing! The staff were really helpful and showed us to our table. The menu was fabulous and there were even vegan options to choose from. We decided on millionaire’s hot chocolate, children’s jacket meal, tuna panini and a spinach, egg and tomato toastie. Our food arrived after around ten minutes. It was well presented and didn’t disappoint! It was delicious. My son particularly loved his hot chocolate. The staff were really attentive and kept the tables clean (COVID 19). Tables were well spaced but didn’t feel too far from each other, perfect! We used the bathroom which was disable access friendly with a changing top. It was clean and tidy but just one cubicle so a bit of a wait at times. We’d definitely go back to this cafe. It really was a lovely place to pop in. I was really surprised at the range and prices were really reasonable too.

So glad we found this little gem of a coffee shop. Sat outside and All tables and chairs were fully cleaned after every use and social distancing adhered to when ordering inside. Two lovely young ladies serving today, very polite, friendly and welcoming. Both acknowledged our presence immediately and did not leave us waiting. The latte was to die for. A lovely smooth roast and made to perfection. Very reasonably priced and large cups. My other half had a tea made in an individual pot and the perfect amount of milk in a jug. So good we called again before heading home. Well done to both young ladies today, the fact that one of them actually remembered us from the first time is a credit to her first class customer service and we will definitely call again the next time we are there.

The staff were friendly and welcoming. The food offer was limited, although that may be due to the time of year - February. The prices are reasonable, but the whole place looked tired and in need of a refresh. There was a chap painting the outside, so perhaps he was working his way inside later on?

My husband and I ate here on what was probably the busiest Saturday I had ever seen in Cleethorpes! We expected average if I'm honest but it was much better than that :-)We had paninis and a bun each, with a tea and coffee. The salad that came with the paninis was nice, fresh and crispy with plenty of variety in it, and the buns were also nice, fresh and tasty.Staff were friendly and polite, and we thought the price was fair for the amount and quality of the food. Will come here again the next time in Cleethorpes.

Didn't fancy fish and chips, so popped in this cafe. Sat on the tables outside. Had the jacket potato with cheese and beans, which came with side salad. Prices pretty much on par with other cafes around. Staff were friendly.Only thing that put me off a bit was people who were buying lunch from the chip shop next door using the outside tables even though they're meant to be for the cafe customers only. During busy times, this may be a problem.

Stopped off mid-afternoon on a Saturday. Initial impressions were ok - the decoration is a bit tatty in places and menus sticky but nothing too drastic to put us off. Ordered a sandwich, a panini and tea. Obviously you expect premium prices on the coast but thought my ham & cheese panini was way over the top - 2 slices of toasted bread with ham & cheese in and some bits of salad priced at £4.95 ? And I say toasted - it was more like warmed up bread. The taste was alright but certainly no better than you get anywhere else for much less. What really did it for us was the excitable dog (I'm not adverse to dog-friendly places in the main) deciding to relieve itself on the floor (we were inside) which although was cleaned up quickly then filled the place with a strong smell of bleach while people were eating and drinking. Wouldn't be fair to rate as terrible but all things considered a poor experience.

Thought we’d give this a try as keen to support local. No welcome, hello or even a smile as we walked in. The girl behind the counter just looked up at us and carrried on with what she was doing. This is a red flag for me and we left shortly after. Local businesses are at the mercy of their customers. Greet EVERYBODY even if it’s a smile or a simple hello and it’s a small gesture that goes a long way and ensures people return or even keep bums on seats in the first place.

Formerly the Tourist Information Office, this is a really good place to come for a coffee and a piece of cake, especially if you want somewhere that is child friendly. With no fewer than seven baby highchairs and a super little well-equipped play area at the rear it's a treat. Such a friendly place. Gorgeously fun flavoured lattes - cherry bake well and apple pie! Yummy cake and a play area for kids. Staff are friendly and views are great xxx

Very nice and friendly staff in this new café. Menu was quite comprehensive and reasonably priced, especially for what you got.

Never been to Cleethorpes but once there wanted somewhere that served good food. Couldn't really find somewhere that would serve a nice salad (New Years Resolutions don't allow Fish and Chips!).

A friendly cafe with a good range of food. The quality of the coffee was excellent and I also ordered a ham and cheese pannini which came with a salad. The food was well presented and very tasty.

Our server Ruby was very attentive and looked after us. Was really impressed with the food, by James the Chef. The drinks are always amazing, and just a fab atmosphere. Will definitely be returning.

Such a lovely coffee shop in the heart of Cleethorpes. We popped in with our family and dog today and really enjoyed how cosy and friendly it was. Great coffee and a full range of food options available. With it being dog friendly it is a bonus and this will now be our go-to place to stop for a drink on our dog walks!
