Popular cafe close to train station, regular flow of customers eating in, take away and delivery. I was staying across the road at the Holiday Inn Express and was stuck for a snack so read reviews and wasn’t disappointed. Simple menu for food and a great selection of bottled beer from around Europe. The ploughman’s sandwich with salad and crisps was delicious, all fresh and served quickly, washed down with a bottle of Duvel. The only downside I could see was deciding on which drinks to choose.

This place is on a corner next to the Railway crossing in central Grimsby. It's a hybrid Cafe- Bar, with the emphasis on the cafe side, illustrated by the fact that it closes at a hybrid hour - eight pm. I had a great time sitting by the window watching the busy train crossing - quaffing my Toasties, cakes, German Wheat beers & coffees. They were all good. Which is why I spent a pleasant two hours there

Great place to eat , hired the snug , a room at the back of the cafe you can use for private gatherings , parties, afternoon tea etc , for my son , and a few of his friends for his 21st birthday . The buffet was fantastic , lots of lovely sandwiches , wraps , homemade sausage rolls , quiche, and homemade cakes , blondies etc , also a very tasty lemon and blueberry birthday cake , the staff are friendly ,and it has a lovely relaxed atmosphere , also a large range of beers, wine etc , would highly recommend 😊

Lovely pork and stilton cheese sausage roll. Delicious hot chocolate. Would go again to visit here. Lovely snug area to sit in as well

The best and friendliest place to eat, drink and relax in Grimsby without question. Whether you go for a coffee, a meal or an evening drink Richard, Gemma and the staff are very friendly and helpful. We just had our wedding reception there and they couldn't do enough for us. It made it a very stress free reception and honestly it made the day. Perfect.

Came here for my 40th birthday treat (surprise) with family from afar. Been coming here for years, whether it be as a couple or with our friends it’s always great.

Afternoon Tea.on Wednesday afternoon for 6 ladies, left us totally disappointed and shocked, £17 a head,not a teapot or teacups in sight,but dirty stained MUGS, with a few tea leaves in,no sandwiches,squashed seating, lack of service ,when asked for a top up tea was told to use same tealeaves as they were short of teabags, Will not be going again or recommend to others. As a local business down the road we ordered a small buffet menu for a lunch time meeting. The food was lovely, and was a good amount and very good value for money. One of our staff members actually stated the sausage roll was the best he had ever had! (and he has had a few!)

Lovely coffee, ploughman's lunch was really good ,the bacon sandwich was so good i would have had 2 if I'd known.Sausage roll a little bit spicy for our taste.Will definitely visit again . Takeaway 2 slices of cake nice .

Lovely place. Not many cafes can serve a perfect cup of green tea and have a great range of beers, ciders, spirits etc. X Comedy night was excellent as well.

Good quality food, not many options. 20 items are marked "unavaliable" on the menu.. I've wanted to try the bao buns since u've opened but ive never seen them avaliable to buy, today ive noticed even more amazing things on the menu, but again.. They are not avaliable. Is just eat not displaying these items correctly or am i missing something?

The staff are lovely and food is of very high standard, catering for vegans and people with allergies. Very friendly atmosphere with regulars that give the atmosphere a very friendly manner. Love the acoustic nights, with local acts. Children and dogs welcome.

I've eaten and had coffee at this place a few times now. Each visit has been great. The food is top notch and the coffee is nice. Lovely little spot in Grimsby town centre

Disgusted. Tried to be a regular customer... not accepted. Example: comedy night. Told to not talk. Comedian was rude and ignored audience feedback. Epic disappointment. Felt unwanted / unwelcome. Very expensive drinks for such a disappointing welcome. Loved quiz night until it also got silly... Such a shame

I love it in this little Cafe/ Wine Bar it's got a lovely welcoming atmosphere and the food and drink is high quality and a good price, I love to sit in the window and watch the world go by. Vittles also has the tastiest carrot cake in the world, seriously you should try it.

Great little independent cafe and bar. One of the very few places that sells continental beers. Great service and is my go to place when out.

The delivery driver was extremely rude to my daughters partner, swearing at him as the door was opened. We didn’t initially hear the door bell as the delivery agent was early, his response to the tiny wait was to declare “you were in f**kin bed weren’t you?”. Shocking and really unacceptable and ruined what could have been an awful excellent experience.

Been in here twice now, and can thoroughly recommend Vittles for friendliness, good service, good food, and some really good artisan beers, all without breaking the bank when eating out !

I can't overstate how great this place is. Very nice decor, friendly and helpful staff, no Christmas songs or other muzak at other times Now the important stuff. Food quality is excellent. Smoked bacon in a brioche bun - what a combo. Good selection of teas, chocolates and soft drinks as well as some good craft beers. Finally, COFFEE!! This is easily the best coffee in Grimsby (and probably Hull). Much better than any of the chain competitors and I usually rate one of them pretty high (not the Mermaid). Drink it as Americano or Espresso (WOW!) and you taste a rich, complex flavour without excessive bitterness. This latter is probably down to the staff keeping the equipment really clean.

Waited 20 mins to be served and that was only waiting for two coffee's, 4 people came in after us and were served so was really disappointed and won't be back at all

Super cozy atmosphere! I ordered an almond milk latte and it was superb. It was the perfect atmosphere for a warm drink and a book. I also purchased a jar of local honey. Very delicious. Will definitely be back!

These guys have kept me alive through many months with their excellent quality food. Taylor is a superstar. Food is great. Salad boxes are fantastic. Quality ingredients, perfect quantity delivered always with a smile and positivity I swear you can taste in the food.

Beautiful little place! Does breakfasts, lunch, dinner, drinks and some damn good sausage rolls! (They also have vegan sausage rolls) the menu is small but sufficient with everything being fresh and the salads are to die for! Lots of hot drinks options, milkshakes, coffees etc it's just brilliant all round! Will definitely be back <3

Brilliant little gem of a place that welcomes humans and their canine friends. Lovely coffee and great cake. Atmosphere wonderful. They didn't mind anyone lingering and didn't feel obliged to rush away. Truly a place to unwind and meet friends

Nice relaxing place for a drink and food.

I didn't even know this was here until a friend recommended we go when Riverhead was shut and we had a lovely time. Friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere and quite a cute shop. We had the iced salted caramel lattes (or something along those lines) and a cake each. Delicious! And very reasonably priced for an indepenant coffee shop it only came to around £5 which is a lot cheaper than Costa or Starbucks. Will be returning for sure!

Great food, served promptly. Bao buns were delicious as was the Mac n cheese. Chef was very accomodating of my partner's requests to account for slimming world syns. Epic selection of beer, you'll be spoilt for choice.

Poor service waited over 45 minutes for food & there was only one other couple in the place. Also Fri & Sat only Street menu and portions were tiny. That said food tasted nice.

Very nice food, chilled out atmosphere and a fantastic selection of craft beers. The loose leaf teas are also very good; they even give you a tiny timer to make sure it brews for long enough - a nice touch. A characterful place which offers a nice change from the somewhat soulless Holiday Inn across the road.

Fantastic bear and service, went here in the summer when there was less restrictions. I hope this will open again this year, I will be sure to go again.

Delicious festive afternoon tea enjoyed by all

Friday evening and we had two supper club meals, the lasagne and the pulled pork were superb. Our starters were cheese and bacon croquettes... again superb. We'll definitely be supporting vittles during these difficult times, Let's keep the independents going. Al and Kim Scartho Grimsby.

Great little cafe / bar that has now become our local. All the staff and regular clientele are very friendly. You can spend all day or night drinking and talking with either. Keep up the good work 👍

Came here with my grandaughter for lunch and it was really nice. She doesn't like very much in sandwiches so she asked for plain ham and they did just that which you won't get at very many restaurants.

Lovely little place which is a pleasant surprise near the centre of town opposite the train station and the holiday inn. Knowledgeable friendly staff who encourage local businesses, live music and interesting events. Certainly worth visiting for a casual drink either tea, coffee, wines and craft beers. A simple direct menu for food is also available as well as welcoming families, dogs and disability accessible.

Just been to a baby gender reveal. The buffet was splendid. Sandwiches bursting with fillings, delicious sausage rolls and bacon butties to die for. We will definitely be returning, especially as they allow dogs

We have just had the most amazing time at Vittles Grimsby. We booked my son and his partners gender reveal party and are so pleased we did. The staff couldn't be more attentive polite and friendly, nothing was too much trouble and the venue was emaculate. The buffet that was provided was perfect, a great range of cold and hot finger foods and a sure winner with both adults and kids alike. Cost wise it was amazing value for money and I will not hesitate booking again for other family occasions. A massive thank you to all staff you really surpassed all expectations and helped to make the occasion even more memorable. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
