Sutton Road GOLDEN COD in Doncaster

Got fish n chips several times . Asked for small gravy in pot instead of on food . Was charged 50p extra . Lost our custom !

Asked if they accepted card a d they did only you had to spend at least £6 which wasn't a problem they even suggested a small meal deal which I accepted and thoroughly enjoyed will deffo go again

Been using the Sutton Road Golden Cod for the last 6 years. Best fish and chips in the area. Tried others occasionally when folk recommended other shops, but never found one that matches Sutton Road Golden Cod.

Awful value for money. Sent my daughter for a large chips, large sausage. They charged £4 pound and she came back with a kids size sausage and chips. That’s the last time I will use this chip shop as it has gotten steadily worse over the years.

Large portions aren't large, tight portion sizes.

Fab food and great customer service 😃 I especially love Golden Cod's doner kebab, I'm fussy but they're happy to cater to my requirements and it's very much appreciated 👍

Allways good but it depends on your preference

This place is usually pretty good and have provided a good service, however as of late my last few visits they have gone rapidly downhill. They are poor with taking orders and asked several times what I'd ordered instead of noting it down, my most recent, and last visit, I got home to realise they managed to somehow get burnt chicken kebab meat offcuts in my chips?? Given the fact im Vegatarian and ordered a veggie burger meal, I thought this was pretty disgusting and unacceptable, the contamination was clearly visible too, it would have been noticed but clearly it was ignored and served anyway. One last thing to anyone that rates hygiene, I noticed when waiting for my burger they use the same hands they handle money with to handle your food, buttering rolls etc.

Really nice food prices are a little bit expensive

Naughty fish chips and peas meal deal. Large fish (it's pretty large too!), chips and peas and a can o' shandy, £6.40. Bargain. All very nice. Good banter too.

Superb takeaway, stopped whilst travelling. Lady on counter was lovely and so helpful. The food, taste and quality was out of this world, and excellent value. Highly recommended!

All food lovely . all nice and clean reasonable prices too. staff friendly and polite could deliver later and open on a Sunday

Quality n best fish n chips in Askern, also best kebabs as well.
