Cornish squid is very fresh as is most fish , full service cleaning the fish service very quick . Prices high but so is quality

I've been buying my fish from here for years. I steam my fish, so the freshness of it is important and affects the taste greatly. Every fish I've bought here has been fresh. Buying from a fishmonger or a butcher is about trust, and I trust this shop fully to delivery quality every time. I can't say the same is true for the fishmongers inside the bigger supermarkets, where you don't know how long the fish has been sitting out for.

Only been to the Stoke Newington restaurant, but always busy. They do fantastic classic fish and chips, but also have healthier grilled fish alternatives. Serves pints and decent wine.

What more to say expect they own the fish monger across the road.. you can't really get fresher than that unless you were in a fishing village. I had the fish soup to start which was lovely Andy the grilled sea bream and chips. Really nice food, not your average 'chippy'

I've been there before and I've bought fish in the past. A week after the brexit I've came back and most of the fishes had not price tag, then I've discovered that they put everything up. I've asked why but initially they refused to give me any answer, I've tried to ask again and the guy behind the counter replied, "EVERYTHING WENT UP" and I ve asked what, and he replied " AFTER BREXIT ALL PRICES WENT UP. this not true, I've work in a restaurant and we order 10000 pounds of produce a month and the prices still the same, a specially two weeks after the referendum. I think they are so dishonest and they take advantage of us of everybody supported that shop. Prawns are at 22 pounds per kg, this is pure theft to people that work hard for their money. I would not recommend to anyone anymore and hope customers will realise what this people are really like.

Fish melted in your mouth and chips where big chunks of potatoes, loved it! Will definitely be back next time I'm in London.

Superb fish and chips!! always cooked freshly before you and generous sized portions. The cod is superb and much preferred to the haddock in our household. Come in a lovely box and a paper bag. Excellent service and offered through deliveroo. Have only sat in once, but again a real generous portion and brilliant fish and chips. Definitely try if you haven't yet!

Good, old fashioned fish and chips in a cheery, modern setting. This place is always full and that is because it is always on the money. Just freshly fried fish and chiops the way it ought to be.

Sutton's Fishmongers in Stoke Newington is an Aladdin's Cave of succulent, fresh, delicious fish and sea food. A whole world of ocean fruits from the tiniest sprat to huge tune and swordfish. The staff (and owners) are very knowledgeable eager to please and full of advice and tips. The prices too are very competitive. You'd have to go a long mile to find a fish shop as good as this one. I should point out that this is a fish sellers but Sutton's also have a fish and chip restaurant just across the road

What I like about this fish and chip shop is that it has a far more interesting menu than the normal chippy with more varieties of fish and seafood. You can eat in and they serve booze but we tend to go for take out. Another plus is they normally have a more sustainable fish available to choose. Portions large, service good, prices reasonable. Only slight neg for me is that their chips are a little to on the soggy side for my liking.

Having been a Steve Hatt regular for 15 years, moving to Stokie was going to be a wrench. But the Fishery fills the gap. Open on a Monday, which is great. There is always a great selection. Really good fish and at reasonable prices. There are also a good selection of unusual bits to try as well, like snails. Give it a try. The staff are very friendly and helpful too.
