Ambience great though, bright and airy Staff friendly and approachable, just the right amount of attentive as well. Food hot and very tasty, favourite was tempura prawns... beautiful light batter. I think two hours is a fair time for grazing... And it's nice to have as much as you like cooked fresh for you and a decent menu to choose from as well... What's not to like or love about the place! Reasonably priced for all the food you get and options available. 1 Gripe though... Be careful to check the bill before you pay as they put a service charge on that says optional after you pay, happy to pay if we wanted to do so or decide to do so, but that should be pointed out really as most places do point it out before paying especially when paying by card.

Attended last night for a friends birthday meal. Will definitely return! The food and service were first class. Attentative friendly staff couldn't do enough for us, and made us feel very welcome. Other restaurants in the area could learn a lot from how to treat people, and make their evening perfect from you all. Keep.doing what you do, you've nailed it! Highly recommend the Thai Red curry!

Brilliant meal out with friends. The decor is gorgeous. Amazing service and food was gorgeous. Lots of chinese and japanese options. Absolutely stuffed. Best all you can eat chinese/japanese we have been to! Deffinitely reccomend a visit!!!

As a Muslim, this place is a fantastic find for halal food and I will definitely be coming back again! I emailed in advance asking about if they served halal food options / didn't use alcohol for veg options and they responded amazingly quick with a detailed response. This made me so much more comfortable going. The staff are kind and very attentive and the food was fantastic! The all you can eat option is also a great deal (especially for someone like me who wants to try a few things on the menu). What makes this better is that with there being a 2hr table time limit - we never felt rushed and when we ordered food it was cooked freshed and brought to us very quickly. They have a standard 10% tip on their bill - I actually wanted to give them a bit more and they refused. Really can't recommend them enough. Especially, if you are Muslim and want to have some South East Asian food.

chips didn't taste cooked the chicken tasted like it was frozen and not fresh. Arrived late and was warm NOT hot. The only thing that tasted ok was the curry sauce.

Very, very slow service, the food is ok but like everywhere else they have recently put their prices up. Sunday all you can eat was £20 now £21.50 per person and now it doesn’t include ice cream. I think they do slow service so you can’t eat too much we would have ordered more but got sick of waiting.

Would not serve me all you can eat as I was not with a party. So simpley put you can't go here alone. Not sure whether it was because I was alone or wearing nike etc. Ludicrous was planning on bringing my kids and potentially using for future party venue. Unfortunately probably won't return again now as it simply put doesn't make sense to me. But good luck anyway. Resteraunt was nice inside won't return to find out if tge food was too which is dissapointing just as I told you in person. Could I just add I checked there Web site on multiple occasions and even before leaving this review = a wasted trip and dissapoining me. Don't sit me down and wait for me to ask how it works etc. Well dissapointed now.

Spot on so basically a thought a was a big man ordered loads of starters thinking be small there where big portions eyes bigger than belly lol spot on like for money at end a managed to squeeze a special chow mein in the missis said it was painful 🤣 on a serious note spot on just don't go daft get few at time save self for later or be like me be a greedy man wheeled out lol

What a lovely place first time trying as a group of 3 friends and we had a fabulous time the food was gorgeous teriyaki salmon and chicken gyozas were my favourite but everything was stunning. The service was amazing 2 ladies were working and they were so friendly and accommodating and free shots at the end of the meal was a welcomed bonus. Would definitely be back again and can’t believe this place was quiet on a Saturday night before Christmas I’d go even with a queue out the door!! One not to be missed.

Lovely atmosphere and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. We came here as a big group, and we availed the buffet style dining. It was way worth the money, and the flavours were amazing. They serve both Japanese and Chinese cuisine, including sushi and sashimi. There was a lot of food to choose from. I highly recommend it!

Excellent all you can eat but freshly cooked to order, Chinese, Thai, Japanese fusion. Very quiet Saturday night only 2 or 3 tables in which nearly out us off but reading the reviews and seeing the constant stream of various delivery people picking up takeaways we went for it. Attentive service, lovely surroundings give it a go. Would certainly visit again if in the area.

First time trying the food in Sushi Panda and Chinese Restaurant and the food is 10/10.I will definitely be coming back for more.The price is very affordable and the the whole restaurant itself is very beautiful with many seating place.The staff there is very proactive and approachable.Everyone should give sushi a go.

We came for lunch as 3 adults and a child. The service was fantastic and staff were friendly, attentive and helpful. We ordered off the a la carte menu and every dish was delicious - from the starters and soup to the sushi and the noodles. All clearly cooked fresh and really tasty. Will definitely visit again!

This isn't the first time we went to sushi panda, we've been going a few times now as we love the quality of the food, plenty of selection and it is a unique concept of having an all you can eat sushi bar in the area. The fish are fresh and so tasty! We also had some Chinese dishes, it was all lovely, flavourful and good portions. There were plenty of selection on the all you can eat menu and the service was quick and efficient. Five ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

A beautiful restaurant, fantastic food and great service.

It's not fine dining, or upmarket, but it is comforting soul food. And to be honest having eaten in Japan it's just the style of dinner that you get in the tiny little eateries in and around the metropolis. Different styles for different tastes, all you can eat or a la carte, very reasonable price for the result.

Get to this place immediately! Four of us came for my birthday and chose the all you can eat buffet. In total we ordered I think around 26 dishes and NONE of them were a disappointment. The food is delicious, amazing quality and totally worth the money. If I had to recommend a dish you should definitely try the chicken gyozas and any tempura! The hospitality was amazing, we only mentioned that it was my birthday as we were asking for the bill and they surprised me with a brownie (which was so nice) with a sparkler on top. They changed the music to happy birthday and the waiters stood around and sang. I seriously cannot recommend this place enough!

Best place ever fast serving great food and prices are good

The food was very nice and the service was top. We took too long eating (buffet) so they said we can order what we want and take longer than the time allocated. They also take care of religious needs such as parda( veils between rooms if people want to eat privately)

Came with the family for the Sunday buffet, the food was fantastic as usual. This is our favourite Japanese place in Middlesbrough. The waiting staff are always so friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is great, the decor is really pretty too. Would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Had a fantastic time, the staff are very friendly and the quality of the food is excellent, so much better and relaxed than then the popular alternatives. Being all you can eat for £20 on a Sunday this is the clear winner and worth the price. Definitely worth the walk from the high street. Will be bringing the family in the future.

I was recommended this restaurant almost a year ago when in a Chinese restaurant in Manchester. I wish we hadn’t waited so long to visit. I think we were put off a little by the all you can eat, however when you arrive at the restaurant you are given the choice of the all you can eat or the A la carte menu. We chose to eat from the A la carte, we tried several dishes all of which were amazing, we had ordered too much but were able to bring it home. Lots of people were doing the all you can eat, however this is different from normal as you pay a set price then you pick from the menu and it is all freshly cooked to order. The owner, Moon, is really lovely and spent lots of time talking to us. We would highly recommend this restaurant, we finally have a good Chinese restaurant on our doorstep. We will definitely visit again just wish we had tried it sooner.

Went with family members to celebrate a birthday. Our first visit and we weren’t disappointed! Food was delicious,served hot and freshly cooked to order.We weren’t rushed and the friendly waitress talked us through and helped us with any questions we put to her. Lots of choice,I wish we could of ate more. Food was brought out gradually which we all appreciated. Definitely,recommend and will be back.

Nice mix of sushi, bao and Chinese hot dishes. Service was excellent; the ladies were very helpful. We enjoyed our lunch and will come back to try the a la carte menu.

Unbelievably high quality food. All you can eat option is outstanding, all food prepared fresh as you order as many times as you like. The service is second to none. Really cannot find fault with this establishment. I think people may be confused by the name of the restaurant into thinking it is just sushi. It's not, they do a wide range of Chinese and Thai dishes, and also throw in chicken nuggets and chips for the kids. Having said that the sushi and sashimi is fantastic too. Cannot recommend this place highly enough. Please give it a try.

An absoulty beautiful place with excellent cuisine and very nice and caring staff, i felt very accommodated. It is very beatiful inside and out there is nice paintings and greenary on the inside and a very pretty flower wall. They have a very diverse menu with lots of tasty things to eat, very nice drinks, sushi pandas is a very inclusive place and quite a reasonable price for all you can eat.

Absolutely amazing food can't fault anything the all you can eat is fresh hot and delicious, the fresh sushi is to die for honestly no words at all for how amazing it is, pumpkin croquettes are just cooked to perfection crispy on the outside and soft and flavourful on the inside every single item on this menu is made with absolute perfection and it reflects in the food the quality of everything on this menu is so high it's unbeatable in my opinion, Moon the front of house Lady is an absolute pleasure she is warm and inviting and accommodating to anything you need goes above and beyond for people Moon is what gives sushi panda that at home part of the family feel as soon as you walk through the door that's the reason me and family go here so often that and the price is undeniable! We also went for the bottomless prosecco on a Tuesday absolutely amazing unlimited sushi, Chinese and Japanese food and unlimited prosecco for 2 hours what better combo is there really!

Amazing sushi, I've been trying to find good sushi nearby for a while now and this is the best I've ever had! The staff were so friendly and helpful, the food was fresh and delicious, amazing value for money as well! I recently spent double at yo! Sushi and the quality wasn't even half as good as sushi panda! I'm telling everyone I know to get the all you can eat!

Honestly the worst Asian place to eat from. My husband and I were so excited to try it for the first time, but we were left so disappointed. First of all, our seats smelt really bad, and the waitress kept getting our order wrong. The food was bland and looked like no effort was put into cooking it. The sushi didn’t taste fresh at all. There was not one good thing about the food. In the end, we paid £55 for nothing, so overpriced for such bad quality food. Never coming here again, and would not recommend to anyone.

First time here and it was nice and we will return. In terms of the food we had some hits and misses. Generally the starters were good although the duck with the pancakes hadn't had the fat rendered enough and so it was unpleasant unless you peeled the skin and fat off before eating. Pluses for us were the beef with green pepper and black bean sauce, the staters (Tom yum soup, chicken satay and duck pancakes). Mises were kimchi (an acquired taste but definitely not for me) and the seaweed. We've had crispy seaweed before but this was a cold vegetable with stringy bits in that get stuck in your teeth (genuinely unpleasant).

Poor meal last time but gave it a second chance, big mistake. Spicy chips, nothing special. Mushroom and Chicken in oyster sauce - BLAND. Oyster sauce had a slight watery savoury flavour and only 4 bits of mushroom. Worst takeaway I've had in a long time. This is a new business but serving food like this, it won't last long.

Quality buffet, good price and good quality food with the only caveat being that there is an extra charge on left over food (which I respect as I hate wasted food) Good customer service and also a birthday deal so it made budgeting for my birthday very good.

Very bad buffet experience, every time I wanted to order 114 the waiter would write it down as 104, twice in a row, and the third time I double checked, which resulted in me eating 4 extra large hand rolls, not being able to eat anything at all, and ending up wasting 1 rib, just one rib! The owner then said I wasted food warning once. It was clear that they made the small sushi into large hand rolls 2 times in a row, and I also ordered drinks at the beginning to avoid suspicion, not just spending the money on the buffet. It feels like a deliberate mistake, obviously I confirmed it for the 3rd time, but it still ended up being 104. don't recommend going to the dinner buffet, lunch order much better.

Big shout out to the witnesses they made sure we had our food in time for iftaar, the Food was thoroughly amazing and always fresh.

I was amazed by the menu and the service the food was unreal 10 out of 10 the sushi was so fresh you can basically choose anything off the menu and just keep ordering the staff were so friendly and knowledgeable about the food.

Food is great however you still need to pay half price for some ‘extra’ food on the menu even though it’s all you can eat. Also, there is a 10% service charge which is not optional. Overall the service was good and the waitresses were friendly and nice.

Quality of food was good, but they charged us 10 percent as a service fee, without telling us before!!! The staff were not lovely, the girl that was in charge of our table, went to our table many times and asking us don’t you want to order more???!!! And it was too uncomfortable for us We were two and we paid 44 pounds, but she was pushing us for more order. Despite the good quality of food, staff behaviors made us uncomfortable and overall, not a good experience

Food was quite nice, think they need more chefs, 3 of us ordered the all you can eat and the food was slow coming out literally 1 got their starter then a long wait till more came out and we had nearly finished by the time my partners starter arrived. Quite expensive too I thought

Sushi Panda is a really interesting concept, a Japanese and Chinese all you can eat cooked fresh which includes sushi, essentially Boro’s version of Bambuddha in Darlington Overall it was a really mixed experience. Some of the food was great, some disappointing. I would have given this 4 stars but the service was so disjointed. The restaurant wasn’t overly busy, maybe 30% full at most. The waitress serving us was polite and friendly but she seemed to be the only one serving whilst 3/4 other staff just moved plates around. This meant it took time to order food and drink and receive them. We ordered food in batches (sushi and starters first) then mains and sides with a bit of sushi later. The food just came out at a completely random order. We were hoping for things to come in batches so we could try a variety of things at once. For example one of our starters came out right at the end of the whole meal. Rice came out a while after the mains. It would have made more sense to batch serve the food. We also received the wrong dishes a few times, one of the times they swapped ours with the table behind, we let the server know and she just took it back off ours and gave it to them, which isn’t best practice. Food ratings: The Highs and Lows Winners • Chicken skewers & Satay Sauce (unreal satay sauce & Chicken v good ) • Crispy Shredded Beef • Prawn Toast • Salt and Pepper Chips • Duck (some of the best we’ve had, lots of meat, crispy fat, very impressive) Losers • Chicken Karaage (greasy and undercooked) • Salt & Pepper mushrooms (heavy on batter lacking flavour) • Beef Udon: beef tasted weird • Seaweed Sushi - The sushi here is fresh and some was v tasty. However all of the rice on the sushi was warm which shouldn’t be the case. Plus the chicken katsu sushi is just fried chicken with mayo. Maybe tried adding the katsu sauce to it. - Wasabi lacks a kick Overall 3.5/5 If torn between here and Bambuddha we would always recommend Bambuddha where the quality is consistently high with great service albeit with no sushi.

Husband took me here on a whim. Hands down some of the best food I’ve had. Each dish we ordered was fresh and made to order. Staff very tentative. Defo worth every penny and more. Will defo be back again soon 🖤

Bit of a late review, as my girlfriend and I came here in December of 2022, however we couldn’t not review this place. The staff were lovely and accommodating and the food was amazing! The tempura prawns were especially our favourite. If you’re thinking of coming here, definitely do it as you won’t regret it ! Thank you to all staff that night.

Went to celebrate my partners birthday, with his family. The food was amazing, so much nicer than normal "all you can eat" places. Not too salty, everything tasted amazing and fresh. The staff were so lovely. The owner/manager on the day was really knowlable and suggested some amazing food too. This isn't the usual "all you can eat" type of place, it was so much more and I couldn't recommend it more. Will be making this place my regular.

It was quite quiet when we came which, once we were there for 15 mins really surprised me. So I wonder if the stigma of sushi plays a part. I love sushi by the way. But let me set the record straight. If you cringe at the thought of sushi and scream "eurgh raw fish" then there are 2 points to highlight. 1- Sushi is not raw fish, that's sashimi. You can have sashimi sushi but can also have cooked meat/fish and veg. 2-as well as the option of sushi, Sushi Panda serve an array of chinese and japanese dishes of which you would find on you local chinese takeaway menu. The service was excellent, decor beautiful. I really want to know where the plates were from as they were gorgeous! We had starters, duck pancakes, satay, tempura prawns. All lovely, served quickly but was fresh and hot. Mains we had some salmon sushi, lemon prawns and crispy beef. All really lovely. If I wasn't on a be good January we would have eaten much more. On a good note too with only 2 people we asked for half portions of dishes so as not to waste food which was happily catered for. Would love to go again with a larger group to try more things.

Gorgeous food, but not the best service hence four stars. We were forgotten about and three other tables served whilst we were still waiting, one of the tables was served three times before I had to ask for a different waitress so we got served. Then they got part of the drink order wrong (two glasses of table water) and we ended up with one of them piping hot! However... The food was well worth the wait, all freshly cooked and hot and a really gorgeous meal all round. We would love to go back and if they can sort the dodgy service out then hopefully I can upgrade the review to five stars.

Had both takeout and eat in at Sushi panda and its always perfect. Ive always wanted to have a local sushi place and thanks for providing that to us! The sushi rice is so fresh and fish too. Its amazing! And we have tried multiple sushi places in the local area and this is my favourite. Plus the owner is super friendly and always checks up on you and genuinely cares about your experience. Delivery has always been quick and prompt too. Today I along with my sister and boyfriend dinned at Sushi Panda in Boro. Delicious food and Excellent customer Service. The waiting staff was so friendly, she recommended us places to visit up north as we were visiting north. I forgot to ask her name but she was amazing.

So after going to this place a few times honestly got to say I hope it sticks around as value/food is pristine. True it handles like a buffet but unlike regular ones where the food is out under a heat lamp and stale by the time you turn up, each dish is cooked fresh and in smaller portions so can go multiple orders + the quality is surprisingly good. Yes you can pay the single price for each individual dish and if you go the buffet route some of the more exotic dishes you need to pay half price to get, honestly no compliments as I see that as fair + why order each dish individually when buffet opens up so many options. Still, I recommend it, food quality is good, price point (considering nowadays) is mid-range so yeah go try.

We ordered chicken chowmein and special chowmein on the website it said special only had chicken and prawns but when it came it had beef and i guess pork as well which we do not eat so we called them and they were so good and sent us another one quickly with extra spring rolls as well.the chowmein was really really nice.I highly recommend them
