Sushi Inverness in Highland

Absolutely awful. Ordered after a night out last night, took over 2 hours to arrive (paid £5 for delivery!!!) & it was all cold. Most of it went in the bin! the cheesy chips were congealed & the chicken did not taste right at all, stopped eating just incase! Definitely won't be back here!

Delicious food ! Highly recommended . The kofta kebab , chicken and lamb tikkah, fritters and Adana kebab was super delicious . The staff is very welcoming and quick service . Best Turkish place in town

Visited the Victorian Market on Saturday 2nd March at 6pm and my Son fancied trying Sushi for the first time - as he was unsure which option he would like we asked the sullen faced lady manning the counter if she could suggest something for a ‘beginner’. Without looking up she said look at the menu and pointed at the hand written menu hanging above the counter. It was difficult to read so I asked if there was anything she could recommend - she replied if I was unable to read the menu I should download it via a QR code. She obviously had no interest in providing a bit of guidance so we went next door to Redshank Catering where we were received with a smile and the food was excellent.

I have food from them couple times collected by myself and newer had problems, food was tasty, fresh. So far is one from best places to have take WAY. Kombo kebab ( chicken lamb done) is my no 1.

I had a Hoaggie and chips that could feed the 5,000! Mightily fine portion and tasty too!

We waited over half an hour for 3 veggie sets, the cost of them, 2 wakame salads and two soft drinks was over £50. I love sushi, I eat it a lot, I would label this as 'ok'. The worst thing though, was the sheer amount of single use plastic. Its depressing to see such waste generated as part of a new venture, we need to be doing better than this.

The guy didn't understand our command and we were forced to pay for double price and for food we didn't want.

Diamond in the rough!!! Go here! I went to two other "high end restaraunts" this evening, couldn't even finish my food at the first one, it was awful, they don't know what a smart burger is, and the other ignored us for over an hour. The people at Topkapi were sweet, and welcoming and the food was freaking delicious, not to mention the portion to cost ratio... They could easily double their prices and I'd get it again. Thanks goes to the random local I asked at a pub smoking a cigarette, you made a fantastic recommendation.

TL;DR Do yourself a favor and go to topkappi. It was sooo GOOD! Some of the absolute best shish I've had. Def get chili AND garlic sauce + veg. I got the med sz chicken shish it was is more than enough and large is good for two. The staff are very kind and helpful their suggestions were to get the shish chicken, both sauses and the veg. Visiting from the states, I took a nap and didn't go to dinner with my partner but when I woke up I walked down to inverness center to meet him, his dinner was so bad he don't eat (smash burgers are not the same thing here) after being burned he asked an adorable chap for recommendations he gave us two, we went to the Blackfriar, sat for about 40 min before our drink order was taken, they warned us so that was fine but at about 1hr 15min in and we still didnt no drinks we left. we went to the other place the gent suggested, Topkappi. Do yourself a favor and go to topkappi. It was sooo GOOD! Some of the absolute best shish I've had. Def get chili AND garlic sauce + veg. I got the med chicken shish it was is more than enough and large is good for two. We walked back to the room and after the first bite I wanted to call them and tell them how good it was, I don't leave many reviews but I thought this would do more good than a phone call. I almost stopped eating half way though so I could get the word out but it was too good to stop. We are l leaving tomorrow and I'm thining about heading back down to get another shish to have for lunch tomorrow.

Insanely underrated! Topkapi delivers the goods with fantastic shish kebabs. Just the right amount of spice. If you are keto, carnivore, or low carb, this place is where you want to be for dinner. Stopped in one evening after a broken rail delayed my train until past closing time for most places in town. Turned out to be a lucky break because it forced me off the beaten path. Great food, great service, and open late. Kizmet.

Topkapi is my nightshift stop off, the place is very clean and the team are lovely. The food is great, highly recommend the salad pakora wrap it's incredible!

ordered a jumbo sausage, chips and a tub of cheese and received an awful burnt pizza , a black pudding, awful chips and my cheese had a bug in it do not recommend at all even if your on the worst hangover better just going to the shop and getting a pot noddle. terrible

Nice halal place in the heart if Inverness. They have a wide variety of selection in their menu and have different portions too. We had a 1/2 lb beef burger which was a mistake. It was so big, I could not finish it. The price is too good compared to the portion size. Restaurant is super clean and the staff is friendly and will ask customers their likings and dislikes too. Please try this place. I chopped out 1 star because of the location. It is behind the main street opposite of the Eastgate shopping mall.

I’ve been a regular to this place for years. And the service has always been good and have made friends with some of the employees. But for the first time ever, I’ve been treated horribly. Me and my girlfriend ordered food from this place at around 11pm because we know that they make decent food. We’ve waited for about 30-40mins which is understandable but at around 12:50am we’ve received a call from the delivery guy. He was claiming that he could not find our place even though other delivery guys have been able to in the past. I was on a call with him for about 5-10mins and during that call he was saying nothing but blaming me because he couldn’t my place. He also suggested that me or my girlfriend should go and see him at a spot which is around 5min walk from our place and pick up the food we ordered in which we paid £5 delivery for. Keep in mind, this was around 1am now. Not only was he not being understanding, impatient, showing off, and claiming that he’s the owner of the shop, he was also willing to compromise our safety all because he had “5 other deliveries” to make. He also told me that I should come to the shop tomorrow so he can refund me the money AND ban me from ever going to their shop. If we don’t get our money back at the very least by tomorrow. This will be going further than necessary.

Food was delicious. Order was very quick. Delivery driver patient as I was napping. Fresh and yum! Tried sushi all over world and this is up there with the best!

I always have the lamb shish.. ..large, tender pieces of beautifully cook lamb with salad n sauce. Decent price too.

I normally go and pick it up and get nice food and decent potions.( My stars are reflective of tonight's service.) I used just eat tonight and the portion was half the size (and that being generous) then normal. And it was just chucked together. From a regular I won't be back ...🤬🤬🤬

Delivery driver refused to do delivery due to distance, and the OWNER went out of his way to deliver the food. It was piping hot and great! I tipped him on top of this. Props to the owner! Good guys! That's how you can tell they're good.

Was here late Saturday evening, from what I can remember the staff were friendly. We ordered chips and cheese and a chicken kebab, we sat down and ate our chips, time passed and they had forgotten about the kebab but when mentioned it they were quick to rustle one up. Far better quality of food than similar places nearby. Chicken shish kebab is winner.

Absolutely disgusting the lot was about to go in the bin. Had the chicken pakora plus a munchie box. The chili sauce with the pakora is so off its bubbling as soon as I tasted it it fizzed on my tounge, unfortunately my kids had eaten some already im keeping it and if there are any signs of food posing food hygiene dept will be informed straight away. Tried calling rest several times no answer

I tried both sushi restaurants from Inverness. This one is classic, not contemporary, no fried or smoked, just raw salmon and tuna. Fresh and tasty.

Not the best place to eat when chefs touching his lips fingers in mouth while preparing customers food

Disgusting place to eat noticed the chief touching his lips while touching the food he was preparing i pulled him on this i give him my food back he said was it too much for you i said no I'm a chief myself i noticed you touching your face lips without washing your hands and touching customers food he give me a smile without explanation no offer of a refund but I just left . Honestly this place should get less 5 stars if possible .not only that he could give you covid and God knows what else avoid avoid avoid. Disgusting.

food is fine, but oh man it took almost 2 hours to get to me. absolutely not worth the wait for the quality of the food.

Asked if the curry sauce was vegan and got answers like 'yeah it should be mate but I know you've eaten meat before' and 'yeah I think it is... I'm pretty sure', I wasn't convinced so I just ordered chips. They were not bad, right up until the last bite where there was a bit of meat in my chips. Not impressed and definitely won't be going back

After 2 hours of waiting and 50 phone calls, the order has never been delivered! Can not even ask for a refund, so have to go to the “restaurant” and ask for it! Just a clear SCAM!

Probably best not to order delivery. Delivery took over 1.5hrs. Driver dropped it and ran, no apology for being late. The kebabs tasted ok but were delivered cold. There was no sauce on the kebabs as ordered although I did get the extra pot of chilli sauce I ordered but it wasn't that great. The big let down was the calzone pizza - too much cheese and lumps of uncooked pizza dough made for a pretty unappetising experience. Might just have been a busy night but not sure I'll be ordering from here again.

What have I learnt... Topkapi makes me happy

Wondering around Inverness on my birthday, torn between pizza and kebab, stumbled upon this place and discovered their doner kebab calzone, which was delicious! A wonderful mix of both, with doner meat inside and topped with basically a margherita pizza; fantastic. The kids were fascinated (in a good way!) by their deep fried battered burgers. Staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating to our requirements (dairy free for one), as well as patient in our indecision while choosing. There isn't much seating in the shop, and it was all full when we went (popular place); I can highly recommend the benches outside the front of the castle overlooking the river as a nearby spot to enjoy your food. Visited 1st Sept 2021.

Hi i phonned loads of times and no answer

Shocking customer service. Order was taking so long so phoned up to check. Delivery driver adamant he left it at back door as he got no answer. No food was there when we checked. Was also sworn at by delivery driver when he passed the phone on to another person to try and sort. Driver refused to apologise and hung up. Disgusting way to treat people. Had to put one star to post this, but wouldn't give them any if I could.

Firstly we didn't want to go because of the bad rating but we checked and it was all because of delivery. We decided to go and everything was great.Very kind workers. Everything was delicious and absolutely fantastic.

Best doner kebab and shish kebab.

I used to get food here all the time but after Last night I won't be.I placed an order and it didn't arrive on time and cold. Also the person delivering it didnt have change so ended up with a very good tipe as he said they never gave him change. Wasent happy about that and was very rude will not be bk anytime soon should really get half a star.

I ordered around 19:30 and I get my food around 20:40, that s too long and really unacceptable. I call around 50 min later I ordered and the woman on the phone was not very helpful. Just a generic it will be with you in 20 min. No asking for details or checking nothing. It was quite disappoint it . The food is just above average and a little bit pricey. I order the "Inverness" plate and the rations were no that big. To be honest with you there is not another choice. This place in a big city or with some serious competition it will go burst because the quality is not there. Another thing I did not like was the system to order online. You pay on paypal from their web with no tracking. If you want to have some sushi and cannot travel down south then it s ok, I guess.

Absolutely shocking. After nearly 3 hours of waiting for delivery and 2 phone calls, where we were lied to on how the delivery would be, we received an email informing of refund. When queried were told it was cancelled. Will never try again

I tried to order here whilst staff were on Annual leave, not only was my money refunded but they surprised me with free sushi on my anniversary. The sushi was lovely and fresh and tasted amazing. I was provided with free soy sauce and wasabi and made for a lovely night in. Thank you Sushi Inverness!

Got a mixed kebab £9.50 the worst mixed kebab in Inverness will never go back to here

I ordered chips and cheese. Decent good portion size for the price and the chips were crispy and hot but the cheese wasn't melted, just dumped on top. More like cheese on chips.

Food is simple, but their veggie burgers are quite good. There was a problem with my order so I contacted them via JustEat and it was very quickly sorted. Lovely staff and delivery driver who both apologised despite it being a common issue; missing drink in meal order. Will order from them again

The worst food poisoning I've ever had

I don't normally write reviews, but I am pretty gobsmacked at the quality of service from here. I didn't get to try their sushi although I have been informed that it is pretty good to be fair to them. I ordered my sushi from their website and after an hour and a half of waiting I emailed to see if there had been a problem with my order, only to be emailed back to be told they were on annual leave and that all their customers had been notified on social media. I don't follow them on social media! The payment came out and was not refunded until almost a week later,even after a follow up email a couple of days later to enquire when I was likely to get a refund, which nobody replied to. I mentioned this to some other friends and apparently the same thing had happened to them. This, in my opinion is not good business and I will not be ordering from them again. You should not still be taking payment when your not operating and them taking so much time to refund.

It’s okay-ish. Wanted some proper kebab and was disappointed. Chicken was old and with a strange souse.

Ordered some food and all most 2 hours later I phoned the shop. And without knowing who I was or my address they told me my order would be there in 10mins. Another hour later I phoned again and they told me it's on it's way. This place is a joke. Cant even take a simple food order.

No frills spot popular at end of the night with. Has range of usual takeaway stuff you would expect. The chicken pakora is one of the highlights - decent kebabs too. Has small seating area.

Best sushi in town. Every thing is fresh and super tasty. They also have options for vegetarians. They text you all the updates about order when delivery is on it's way or if they will be little bit late as they sometimes are super busy, but it's worth to wait
