Used this place for years now, best Indian takeaway in Washington

Will never order anything again food came. Only thing that looked fresh was the curry sauce. Chicken God knows how fresh that was.The onion bhaji was burnt.Crispy and hard. They were.Rice taste like it was from the night before.And did not receive my poppadoms.

as always, absolutely perfect meal! arrived piping hot and delivery driver was lovely and polite. never ever had a bad order or service from here

Surma has been our favourite for Indian takeaway for years , but after last night I won’t be back . £40 order - for one of the starters to be wrong and the masala to be very watery with no taste . Very disappointing .

I ordered 4 popadom and didn’t receive them , how do I redeem my money

Excellent food. We got a starter, main and naan bread for only £11 (Sunday night). Service took about 10 minutes from ordering to supply. Plenty of parking whilst you pick up.

Really disappointed. We often order here and it’s lovely. But this time one of the curry’s was missed … they said they would send it out but 30 minutes later and no meal, rang back and was told he was waiting for a driver but everything else was cold, so just refunded the missing curry. Not great service

Bhaji, chips and naan were rock hard, chicken was very very chewy and rice was extremely greasy. All in all a very bad experience and pretty much all of it went in the bin.

Unfortunately all the food was rather bland. The tandoori chicken in particular tasted "old" as if it had been made a couple of days previously then reheated. Most of it was left and thrown out.

Order was exact and the food was excellent. Staff very friendly and bent over backwards to help with my vegan food order. 2 starters, main meals and various accompaniments all really good and piping hot.

Four of us just had fantastic food from Surma tonight! Absolutely stunning. It was delivered quickly and was sooo tasty. Can’t fault it ❤️👏⭐️ x

Bland and taste less pakora was a joke tikka chicken dipped in fish batter ?? I'm a chef food from here mediocre had high hopes but no it was so bland and taste less we went to another take away £20 binned

Food arrived 40 mins after the initial latest delivery time given. Food was good however I did not receive the rice I ordered. I might not order from here again as the delivery time was an issue.

Took ages to come and was freezing cold . Chips didn’t taste fresh either. Won’t order again.

I called shop but was very quickly dismissed told to check my front door then he hung the phone up , food amazing, the delivery driver was amazing as he said he doesn’t normally do it but man on phone needs to sort out his customer service as he really annoyed me by hanging up on me , will still order again as foods amazing, I won’t let one tired and stressed member of staff put me off , bud as I said to driver you don’t take it out on y customer

Decided to get myself an Indian and my God it was delicious. onion barges were perfect chicken Tika was delicious. Cheese nan done perfectly and mushroom rice was perfect over the bloody moon gorgeous food.

Food was disgusting, chips were rock hard as if they’d been preheated from the night before, onion bhajis were that over cooked they were rock hard, not very pleasant to eat, chicken tikka masala was the worst I’ve ever tasted, Pure waste of money as virtually all of the meal went in the bin.

Really good food I've been here a few times and never had any issues. Personally I think it's very reasonably priced for a tandoori compared to other tandoori places I've been. Very friendly staff.

Samosas were rock hard clearly over cooked and curry box had two small pieces of chicken. Definitely not the standard we normally get and very disappointing.

Ordered the nanbaab. The seasoning on the donner and chicken kebab was so hot it was inedible. Im sure its to someone's taste, unfortunately not to the people eating it. It possibly needs be stated that this is *hot* with the pepper label.

Great food, always good. It used to be my local but I always travel back here when I’m getting an Indian takeaway.

Orders our meal rice was missing as was a big order but called up and resolved straight away rice was delivered to us within 10 mins of calling man was very helpful and couldn’t be more apologetic for it been missing. But these things happen a busy restaurant on a Sunday when the deals are on easy mistake meal was lovely can not fault thank you for my take away and thank you for the help and fast delivery of our missing rice :)

Well title says it all first order on the app even though food was ordered at 5.30 pm to be delivered at 7.15om food turned up at 8.05pm when I rang up the guy was lovely food came 5 minutes later. Tonight ordered food same time money took from account; delivery 7pm at 8pm no food I rang up at 8pm gave order number they denied order had been placed even though I had got email confirmation and money left my account. No food and rude guy on phone 2 strikes that’s it. Weekly order lost.

I've never had a problem with this takeaway but tonight it wasn't good food was cold when arrived items missing and no flavour extremely disappointed

One of the mint yogurt pots had opened inside bag and spilt everywhere id advise they wrap these in future and not put them loose in bag !!

Tried a few Indian takeaways in Washington, but this stands out. Too many takeaways are oily and greasy, but this Tandoori Bhuna Masala wasn't at all - it was very freshly cooked, tasty, complete with a hard boiled egg!!! I'll be going back again and again.

Ordered tikka wrap with no sauce and separate curry sauce. Came smothered in garlic sauce. Called to get refund and was told they would only refund wrap not sauce. Guy was very rude. Won't go there again.

Worst take away I have ever had. After an hour and 40 mins, food arrived cold. Bhaji was stale and chewy, massala sauce tasted like a tin of chopped tomatoes and chicken was tough. Rice was okay, peshwari naan, underdone. Very very disappointing. I have previously enjoyed food from here, but won’t be ordering again

We are just visiting and decided to go for the set meal for two I think we will be eating curry for the next week you get plenty and it was amazing value we live in Yorkshire and thinking it would work out cheaper to travel up it would have cost over £50 The food was amazing one of the nicest Indian meals we have had in years wished it was our local takeaway 😋😋😋

Food was a little late, but the restaurant let us know it would be late and it was defo worth the wait. We've lived in the area for 2 and a half years and never found an Indian restaurant that could compare to any in our old area but, the food was absolutely beautiful. Will defo be ordering again!!!!
