Surf n turf in Preston

Had to pick the mould of the bottom of my bun.

Perfect spot to relax and have something decent to eat and drink, what I thought would be... sausages like rubber, egg just no life in it atal, should be questioned 'would you like your egg runny or not?' Food tasted very bland/cheap..Coffee wasn't even coffee,I don't know what it was! just tasted of steaming hot water with a really bad flat tasting whatever it was, left a bad taste in my mouth. Do not order from here, you will 100% regret it like I did £15 later. Felt robbed! Tables needed wiping top, spilt drinks etc..

Lovely place to eat, always clean, and friendly staff me and my friends' go to spot, lunch with a waterside view can't beat it!

I was going to get some food from there but never will now after. Seeing the chap filthy dirty in a vest and his hands were filthy to. Also his dog had just been hit by a car after chasing a ball near a road how stupud.had cuts on its face just put it in the van. His other dog had a tick on it he just pulled it off it which is a no no. Then squashed it in his fingers. Then I think he went to serve the food. I'm sorry to mention about his dogs but it upset me to see that his dog wasn't rushed to the vets. As they are such lovely dogs.

Don't know what food is like looks appetising,but could do to fix stop lights/indicators on the trailer,behind it yesterday dodgy.

I've walked past the van loads of times and never got more than a can of drink. One day I thought I'd try their food and ordered the chicken burger. When I got it home I was so disappointed. The chicken portion was about half the size I would have expected. The portion of chips was decent but the taste was meh. Overall it didn't seem like any real effort had gone into it. Only real benefit from this experience is I had a burger and chips from Cappadocia tonight (in the same neighbourhood) and it made me appreciate it all the more! (Since someone else spoke about the driver of their van, I should note I saw someone in a surf and turf van parking right across two spaces at the Morrisons garage. Not a great way to represent your brand).

Food was delicious. The owners and staff are very friendly.

Five of us ordered. Food cooked freshly to order. All meals were greatly enjoyed. Very little waiting time. Why on earth have I not been here before?

The Surf and Turf is a worthy successor to the legendary Green Frog. The food is incredible. The bacon roll I had was delicious. I’m going to go and say that the bacon was better than Greggs. It was that good. The service was nice and quick. The staff were very friendly. They very kindly gave my Border Terrier a sausage. If you are lucky you will get a chance to meet the friendliest and sweetest of German Shepherds. She really is a sweetheart. I highly recommend the Surf and Turf. If you’re looking for great food served by friendly and engaging people then look no further than the Surf and Turf.

Amazing breakfast butties, would highly recommend and open early so I was able to get one on the way to work. Five stars - great way to start the day. Thank you for your great food and service xx

Go there a few Sundays morning for bacon and spam and 2 eggs 🥚 and a morning black coffee. I really enjoyed it. Fill me up for the day went go on fishing 🎣 matches

Food was good, and fast. Ordered a bacon, egg and tomato roll, and a sausage and egg roll. Both were great. Managed to go to MacDonalds and back and it was ready before I got there. My mum was struggling to walk (back problems) so the lady who cooked it brought it over to her. She said she was happy to do it anytime as she understands. This is the service you need.

Passed by the docks today and for nostalgia I picked a cheese and ham crepe. Used to be a staple when I worked at the lighthouse many moons ago…. Was absolutely delicious. Thanks so much -:))) I’ll be coming back!!! The coffee was great too . Very friendly and clean and love the French crepes which you can’t get a standard anywhere I can think off !…

Took a while to be acknowledged and served, wasn’t exactly busy. Latte was awful, had to pour away.

Great place lovely location take my disabled parents every Sunday, friendly staff loaded hotdogs and the best crepes. Even get a sausage for the dog. Highly recommend

What can I say? I’ve been reading some of the comments. I Use this one twice today for breakfast lunch and can’t fault the food In anyway, It’s immaculate clean. And the food is always cooked fresh. Every time I go, everything is cooked to perfection. I’ve used it since it’s been there and Will continue. Keep up the good work.

The food was fantastic, good quality and an excellent service. Thank you. Ignore the negative reviews, they are all fake. Jealousy gets you nowhere, so grow up, trying to ruin a quality business shame on you.

Had a fabulous experience visiting surf n turf, staff are attentive and friendly. Prices are reasonable especially as it is high quality food produce and portion the sizes are 5*! I would highly recommend and I will 100% be back!

First time at Surf n turf, I ordered chips and sausage. Was charged £6 even though it said £5 on their price board. The sausage we're taken out of a container, already cooked but cold and placed on fatty brown hot plate. Then the chips came out of the fryer dripping fat.. I couldn't eat the sausage they where hard and I struggled to get the fork in them. Binned them.The chips were dripping wet with fat and tasted greasy and where awful, I don't know what fat they use but it's awful.The food container was covered in black fat on the outside ( see picture) They are no way near as good as the Green Frog was . Won't be going again. £6 just for greasy chips.

Avoid. Firstly no PPE being worn by a male behind the counter working with food, but wearing a green ugly sweaty vest. Very rude and disrespectful when having normal chit chat as tho I was an inconvenience coming to their mobile catering van. The food fits the way the service was ugly. Avoid this place at all cost.

Ordered bacon and egg and a sausage, bacon and egg roll, asked for the bacon to be well done. took about 25 minutes. Got home to find the bacon roll had two scrawny pieces of bacon on that wasn’t even remotely well done and no egg. Poor effort for the price. Only upside is that it didn’t taste too bad but don’t think it’s worth the hassle of going there in the future

Cannot comment on the food. The guy serving /cooking was wearing a vest top. Why on earth would they think this is exceptional when cooking food. Extremely off putting not professional at all. Such a pity as was hungry after walking round the docks.

Poor quality ingredients, small portions and very greasy. Avoid.

The driver of this trailer hit a red light at the tickled trout last night and nearly killed me and my family. Disgusting people. Avoid.

Would give zero stars if that was an option. Its not often i spit bacon out but the bacon and egg on toast i ordered was not even worthy of swallowing. The fried egg felt like hard plastic to eat, it honestly felt like it would rip my mouth to shreds, the bacon was tough to chew and mostly fatty. All together pretty tastless. After 2 (the second spit out) bites the whole lot went in the bin 🤮. I notice another review did the same thing. The husband gives his breakfast a 3 out of 10 also. Just cheap low quality food over all. The ladies serving seem nice though. I do not recommend.

Shockingly slow service, poorly cooked food and when you pay 50p extra for a baton that’s all you get extra, nothing extra to fill the empty space! Won’t be coming back. Shame Green Frog had to go.

I've no idea what people expect from a butty van, all these negative comments don't do them justice. The staff where lovely and down to earth, Bacon, sausage and egg on a baton, tasted great to me. Only fault I had, was my tea wasn't stewed for long enough for my liking. Next time I'll ask them to leave my tea bag in for a little longer.

Had a bacon barm. it was ok. But the paper bag it came in smelled fusty like they had been stored in a shed. threw barm away. van looked dirty. can't seem to find a food hygiene rating for it.

The Surf n Turf had big shoes to fill, after the Green frog was at the post for many years. Unfortunately though, it has failed miserably. The food is absolutely manky, the eggs are black from all the fat on the stove, which I refuse to believe is cleaned properly. The sausages are burned on the outside and undercooked in the middle and as for the bacon, well let's just say that even the pesty seagulls wouldn't touch it. It's so disappointing, after having such a great service from the green frog. It's safe to say, I won't be returning.

Went today, bought some chips, worst I ever had ( luke warm and hard) returned them to be replaced by new ones. These where hot but tasted disgusting, greasy. They went straight in bin. Won't be going again.

Had bacon and egg toast today. Food average but staff must have had off day. Not at all friendly, waited ages but no acknowledgement, unhelpful - asked could I have serviette - answered ‘there’, no smiling. Nothing like the Green Frog for food or customer service, that was def 5* compared to the new one.

Went today for the first time Staff were pleasant enough The food was awful Definitely wont be going back. Had two bites of my butty and threw the rest away. First bite thought it might just be me Second bite ? No definiteky not me Definiteky wouldnt reccomend or ho back sgain
