Suree' s Kitchen Thai Restuarant in Telford and Wrekin

We liked the ambiance of the restaurant service was very good with friendly staff and the food was fabulous. We liked the fact that there is not loads of choice on the menu (which changes relatively frequently) all food tasted very fresh was beautifully seasoned and spiced and left feeling comfortably full. Saturday menu three courses £38 per head which we thought was good VFM for quality food. We will definitely be returning.

Visited with my family, having wandered past the restaurant a couple of times in the past. Super fresh food, cooked really really well. We were thoroughly impressed. Friendly staff also..well done to Chef Suree and the team. Its popular, and they do 2 sittings on the days they are open, so best to book rather than dropping in. Menu is small enough to ensure each dish is made to order, but big enough to ensure something suitable for most people. Drinks from the White Hart next door, so you can order all drinks needed. Overall excellent - recommended!

We have eaten in Suree’s restaurants for many many years and can honestly say we have been nothing but delighted with the customer care, the restaurant surroundings, the friendly attentive staff and the absolutely amazing food that Suree prepares and cooks. The last visit was with our cousins who always ask us to book a table when they travel down from Yorkshire, as this is their favourite restaurant by far. The restaurant has an intimate feel which is so special, as is the food that Suree produces all fresh and delicious!

We visited again this year for our wedding anniversary and we weren't disappointed, the food was absolutley amazing again.

I LOVED the fact that this intimate restaurant only had a small menu, with all the items - including the usual starter platter - were home made rather than the usual bought in frozen things you get at Thai restaurants. The food was delicious, with the range of drinks available from the bar next door being a big plus. Service was friendly, and it was obvious there were many returning customers who the owner was chatting to (though not to the neglect of other customers). For some people this would have been a plus, but the only thing which we were a little disappointed about was the very quick speed of the service! Not a thing you would comment on negatively, but since we were in Ironbridge for a weekend break, our meal was the main point of the evening - and to be honest it was over a little quick! It might have been nice to have some crackers to munch on with more time being given before the starter...

Went for date night on a Thursday evening and service was fast. Food was just gorgeous, everything tasted like some care went into it and was presented beautifully. Will be back :)

Wow! Wow! What a place, what a meal! First time in this place and will certainly visit again. The staff were very welcoming and engaging. The menu is small to compared with other places, however, the food on it is exceptional and very fresh. You could taste all the individual ingredients especially the spices used. I have not had a meal like this for ages. Top Chef!

Absolutely superb Thai cuisine, we four friends had a lovely evening here. The staff fetch your drinks from the White Hart Pub next door and the toilets are there too, it really is no bother. The staff are lovely too.

We were occasional customers of the King and Thai in Broseley but this was our first time at the newer restaurant. It’s small and on a very warm evening it felt a bit crowded but the food was as good as we remembered. The Thai waitress was extremely experienced and efficient and the girl assisting has the makings of a good waitress given more time and self confidence. There were a couple of things that are worthy of mention. There was a wine list complete with prices but for other drinks (brought from the pub next door) we were ordering blind as we were not offered a printed list nor any idea of the prices of things we ordered. Furthermore, the menu on the website is out of date and prices currently are around £2 per dish more expensive amounting to £20 for us as a table of 4 ordering starters, main and rice/noodles.

Exceptional experience! Delicious food - pleasant surroundings - super friendly staff and worth the hour journey to get there. Suree is an absolute legend who consistently delivers and I would recommend everyone visit her restaurant - you won't be disappointed! 10/10

Whoa was not expecting this level in rural shropshire. All 4 of us enjoyed our meal, just the right level of spice and heat. Meat balls were excellent. And curry fresh and not sloppy. Only open Thursday to Saturday,so reservation issential

It is a shock to be seated at a table with friends to find the menu is the minimum of two courses of £32 you are stuck in a position of being obliged to have this menu rather than admit that I thought £32 was out of my league ,had been in before where things were priced individually,

We walked out the restaurant,Jo was so rude to our party of guests,we booked for 8pm,left us waiting outside and then, continued to be nasty once inside,2 other members of staff came across and apologised,but it carried from Jo,so we walked out,

Fantastic food. Unfortunately spoilt by the fact we were asked to leave after an hour and half (we had a 3 course meal and it’s not cheap) as they needed our table, we were told we should take our drinks and drink them in the pub. We mentioned a table nearby had been there longer why weren’t they asked to leave? The waitress said I am about to sling them out too! We have regularly eaten in Surees in Ironbridge and Broseley and the food as always Is great but all the pleasure went out of the meal. They also add on 10% automatically for service not appreciated when you are thrown out.

The food was really excellent - the starters were so tasty and the fried ice cream for dessert was amazing 10/10. The staff were lovely but unfortunately, we didn’t enjoy the experience as we were rushed out in less than an hour. We asked if we could wait 5/10 mins before we had our dessert but the waitress said no because they needed our table back. This was disappointing as it was supposed to be a special meal for my partners birthday. Given that we had a 3 course meal which wasn’t cheap, I did not expect to be in and out in less than an hour. I ended up leaving some of my drink because we felt uncomfortable as they just needed us to leave. Unfortunately because of this we wouldn’t return.

This is the best Asian food I have had in the UK. It is authentically Thai, with a good level of spicing. Everything tastes fresh as if it has all been prepared from scratch on the day. For this quality it is extremely reasonably priced. The problem for us however was that the space was unbearably loud. It wasn’t just that we had to shout to communicate but that from time to time the noise level was just physically unbearable. At one stage I had to leave the restaurant. I have never ever had this problem anywhere so I think there was something really wrong last Saturday night. It’s so bizarre because this is the first time this has happened to me anywhere in the world (and in China where I live the restaurants are hardly peaceful). The space is very small anyway. It had twenty five diners who all seemed to arrive at roughly the same time. The food however came out staggered which meant that the two large parties were drinking with no food in front of them for long periods. There were two large parties (6 pax and 7 pax) who were shouting across the restaurant for a lot of the time. The walls are brick bare and so is the decor so there is nothing to absorb noise. The kitchen is open to the restaurant which also adds noise. Add these factors together and I think a perfect storm of an inherently noisy space, overcrowding, and loud rude customers led to this level of unbearable noise. It’s not something you can complain about on the night but I let the waitress know when we were leaving that despite excellent food we wouldn’t return. Shame because the staff were lovely. Maybe we were just unlucky on the night and this was a one-off night but we had to leave before having a desert because we just couldn’t take the noise any more. We went into the adjacent pub on a Saturday night and by comparison it was like entering a monastery. There were noisy parties in the pub but the impact was a tiny fraction of that from the noisy parties in the restaurant. My only tip would be to check that there are no large parties (more than 4) going when you are booked and/or possibly to go early before loud, alcohol fueled parties arrive. I say again though if you can stand the decibel level of noise you get at a rock concert, without any actual music (just people shouting at each other so they can be heard), the food here is superb. If only they’d take a bigger facility and make money from a bar/drinks so they don’t have to overfill this small space to survive. This standard of cooking should pack out a space four times the size seven days a week.
