Oriental Chef in Telford and Wrekin

Pre-ordered at 5:50 for 7:15 delivery, said it was delivered on the app at 7:20 but didn’t arrive until 8:10

The food arrived on time ( not early or late) and although when consumed was tasty it was just warm, can't be sure if it was delivered in a heat bag which should have held the heat or on a back seat of the delivery drives car, but it could have been hotter. Will order again to see if this was a one off.

Lovely food but delivery shocking ordered at 6.20 arrived at 8pm but was supposed to between 7.15/7.35 but can’t fault food

Pork had LOTS of fat in it and was chewy. Curry sauce was nice though

The order arrived around 20:50 so 30 minutes late. It was missing the prawn crackers and we had to pour off the oil from the curry as the top centimetre of the tub was just oil. I’m not sure what has gone on here as we’ve always had good food in the past but this was rubbish all around.

Sesame prawn toast was delicious but the chicken chop suey was bland and unappetising

Great service, the crispy chilli beef is the best crispy chilli beef I’ve ever had!

Normally the food is good but this time it was horrible. The crispy chilli beef had a funny taste to it, the batter wasn’t fully crispy and not a lot of beef under the uncooked batter.

Food come superfast piping hot high quality as always wont use another chinese highely recommend

Too much batter on the chicken and prawns. Rice Luke warm and main Luke warm too. Beef very chewy. Not a good experience. First time ordering from this place. Wouldn’t go back.

The dry spare ribs tonight were the best we’ve ever had, my husband had the king prawn fried rice and said that it was packed full of prawns! This is our firm favourite local Chinese takeaway!

Awful food freezing when delivered asked for BBQ sauce hot gravy then said they don’t do gravy think I know the difference at my age still yet go find the meat in my chow mein suggested a refund and practically told no as they have cooked will NEVER USE THIS CHINESE AGAIN! Ended putting the phone down what a waste of £32

Very rude delivery driver who drove up our drive the wrong way and made a very aggressive comment when opening the door to him on how we’d parked OUR cars on OUR drive.

Ordered meal over phone got there they didn't have it correct so had to wait for the correct order got home chips were cold no egg fried rice looked more like boiled rice disappointed as we use it when we want a treat.

The portion was not worth the money I paid what I would usually pay from another Chinese and got a small metal tub where usually it’s a plastic lidded tub the ribs was more bone then meat not worth the money at all

Mushroom chow mein was fine, but the supposed Kung Po chicken was just a rehashed sweet and sour chicken with some spicy sauce and a few cashew nut thrown in. Very poor. Delivery was good, however, and the food was still hot enough to eat

Meals visibly smaller than usual. Price goes up and size goes down. Not playing that game. Also some ingredients missing. If I hadn't been 15 mins away when we opened it all up I would have taken it back! Crap.

3/5 - food was ready for collection quickly and the quality was good BUT they forgot the chips!! Devastating, making this the first time eating a Chinese without chips. I could’ve cried. The Mrs now hates me as I didn’t check the order when collecting. Happy Friday.

The meal is normally very nice from here however unfortunately not this time the chips were dry and the chicken balls just didn’t taste right maybe it’s time for me to change restaurants 😞

Ordered a takeaway hidden charge of 3.50 delivery food not very nice would not go back there again Called and queried charge advised this was a new charge however my sister wasn't charged a day later

Usually they give much better portions but tonight was terrible... not even a single large egg fried rice could share between multiple meals :/. on a normal day they can easily but tonight a large rice shared between more than normal meals. Upsetting

I ordered a delivery tonight , 3/8/24 I have had orders from here before, bt have to say tonight was the worse food I received of the Oriental Chef, Wellington Telford. I decided to order something different, as I was eating alone. I order a set me for one, which came in one polyester container. I looked like it was slop and thrown in together. Most of it was rice, and about 6 very small pieces of chicken. few chips with black eyes in, and curry sauce. it went in the bin, together with the yellow brown prawn crackers and the spring roll which tasted disgusting. It cost me £20.11p I wont be ordering any food from them again. And i felt very let down. They've lost a good customer. tonight is a Saturday so Not acceptable at all. I would try and ring them for a refund but I doubt iI would get a refund.

Ordered from here with my friend several times, we've never had a bad meal. Staff are always friendly when we pick-up and the food is always tasty and hot. 100% recommend.

£40 order and no prawn crackers? Asking for an extra £1 to add mushrooms to a curry is ridiculous to, most places just have an option for chicken and mushroom. Quality was ok, have had better.

Order arrived on time, however… 1. the peas in the chicken fried rice weren’t cooked, trying to it was difficult as I was trying to pick the peas out. 2. I ordered a large bottle of Diet Coke and they sent out the normal full fat coke, 3. I spent £28 and they didn’t give me free prawn crackers. Overall though was ok, apart from the points raised.
