Looked like driver dropped off a couple more orders before mine which delayed my food. Chips were undercooked & chicken nugget size is small! 1/2 the size of a place beginning with M!!

The scampi was lovely but the chips were not as good as usual- as if they’d been reheated!?

One of the best fish and chips places in and around Surbiton. This place has been around for yonks and the fish and chips have always been good. Great to see the standard hasn't slipped.

Really quite revolting - just ordered from here via Uber eats, driver was very fast so this is purely reflective of the quality. So greasy, and inedible. When I called, there was no attempt to rectify any of it.

I have been coming to this fish and chip shop for 30 years , are they under new management as the food is now awful ! Soggy chips . Soggy cod , sausage in batter soggy and tasteless , saveloy poor quality

Food is normally excellent. Service is based upon who you deal with. It appears to be family run business.

The fish was lovely and fresh but the batter could have done with frying a little longer, it wasn’t golden or crispy sadly…

So ,chips were really fresh ,and very nice but in my opinion portion of large chips was a little to small your fish and chips competition not far from you have much more generous portions ,fish was also nice and fresh I ordered medium which looked like medium but if you compare the price you can get much larger portion of fish for the same price .However fish and chips were very good and I would recomend this place .

The food was sweating and sopping wet. Their large portion was small. Chips so wet they’re stuck to the paper and mushed together. I won’t order from here again.

Good quality fish always and chips good. Among best around. Found difficult to have conversation as the loud chatter of the staff behind the bar was very loud and made it difficult to carry on normal conversation in the resteraunt.

I have been dealing with this restaurant for 4 years and this is first time I receive chips overcooked and burnt I hope this never happens again ,good quality chips is so important

Loved their fish & chips, batter and chips were fresh and the potion was generous. Owners were friendly and first time my kids finished their food.

The best fish and chips in Surrey area

Chips and cheese was covered in a wrapping so cheese was stuck to paper. Not edible. Gravy was powdered gravy made with too much water making it the consistency of a glass of coloured water. Not edible. Pie was heated in the micro for too long so was rock solid. Not edible. Called them to complain and they said the food was bad because they're under new management. When I asked why are they still charging premium rates (£1.65 for a small tub of powdered gravy) when they know the food is bad, he laughed and said to call deliveroo for a refund and that was it. AVOID AVOID AVOID

Fantastic restaurant. Haddock & chips, mushy peas, gherkin and coke. Waited 20 mins for eat in but that is because it is cooked fresh to order. Highly recommend.👍 Oh and very friendly staff.👍👍

Rude service with staff more interested in serving delivery drivers than in store customers .

Decent chippy but they’ll take a good 15-20mins to cook you a standard fish and chips

Food was really tastey and came quick, Unfortunately food order was wrong and I hate being this type of person to complain but ordered and paid for two saveloy but only got one. Please check your orders before handing them over to the delivery driver please.

Food was hot, fish fresh and white. Chicken wings really nice...

Tracking tells me in 5 minutes then tracking stops, comes back on saying lost delivery car saying it will be 8 minutes arrives it was cold I had to put it in the microwave to warm up.

Fantastic chips & thought I’d try the chicken wings expecting nice deep fried crispy wings BUT what I got was balls of greasy uneatable chicken wings coated in batter which had a totally off putting smell let alone taste! Sorry but wings coated in fish batter just doesn’t work!

Disappointed. Not up to their usual standard. Fish undercooked - batter soggy not crispy. Chips also soggy with surplus oil/fat. Mushy peas very runny. Pie very nice.

Most of my order was really good. Except the chicken balls. Which is basically made up of bread. I’m not sure if they are meant to be breaded or covered in batter. But 3/4 of it is just bread. Quite disappointing to be honest

I've been around a while and grew up near the coast so I definitely know good fish and chips.🍽 I'd say this is the best I've tasted. Fresh good quality fish underneath the batter, well cooked, good value and they're really friendly too. Much better than getting some rubbish from the supermarket or McDonalds, just go here instead!

For the second time in a row I’ve been given different food to what I ordered. I’m a vegetarian and wanted the cheese and onion pasty, but I got a sausage roll!! 😢 Didn’t realise until I got home.

Fish batter was greasy. Large fish fillets disappointingly small and cheese chips barely cheesy. Sorry but wouldn’t order again.

The only issue was the fish was unbelievably greasy - I had to soak it in kitchen roll several times before eating as the oil was dripping off it!

The service was good but I paid a ridiculous amount to sit down and have chicken and mushroom pie , large chips and baked beans . The cost was £9.40!!!!!!! The quality of the food was average and there were not many customers in the shop. When I complained about the price , I was just shown the menu on the table and the cafe worker was not prepared to talk about the price. This place is a complete rip-off!!!

This is the second time I have used this establishment and both times I have been very disappointed by the size of large plain chips. They are not large chips and for £4.30 I would expect more. I called the shop back about my views and they were not interested in what I had to say. I have used other shops and had bigger portions for at least £1 cheaper but I wanted to stay local to help the trade👎 Never again. Take your money and go somewhere else.

I rang your office who said delivery would would happen but they could not say when. You should take this firm off your list, Your operator said you would give me £5 credit for the bad time I had

Very tasty fish and chips and their Mars bars are the best. Besides their customer service is was very good, they helped me with a wrong order over the phone and solved my problem very kindly.

A consistently good no nonsense fish and chip shop. Have been coming here for years. I try others every now and again but always return to find this is still better. Fresh food and also a good lunch time deal.

Originally delivery was 7.30 arrived 8.04. Food was OK batter was soggy and the large portion of chips was a bit small

Ordered at 1912. Originally estimated to be delivered at 1935. Updated to 1942, 2000, 2010, 2016, 2035 then 2031. Actually arrived at 2029 - 54 minutes later than originally expected. No phone call or apology from the delivery driver.

Ordered at 18:50 and it came at 20:45 after saying the food would arrive at 19:20. Not to mention my “cheesy chips” had hardly any cheese on them and the food was almost stone cold !!!

Original delivery time was advertised as 19.10 when I paid. It then changed to 19.17 and then to 19.30 and arrived at 19.35. Would prefer that they are more realistic at the start, as I would have been happy with 19.30 and happy to wait.

Normally amazing - generous portions, absolutely delicious fresh food and lovely staff. Not sure what has happened, but food was AWFUL! Soggy fish batter (with oil slick), a few under cooked chips and definitely no service with a smile - 'not my shop' was mentioned by staff more than once. Such a shame - this was my go to place for fish and chips. Won't be returning for quite a while.

Small chips cost me 2.50 and had to wait 15 mins I was the only one in there will never go back and I will do my upmost to stop people from giing

Great fish and chips. I will be offering from here again. Typo on the menu though. Mars bar in BATTER not butter. Is prefer if they were full size Mars bars instead of paying £1.50 for a single duo bar though. Either way, great fish and chips!!
