Food must have been waiting around prior to delivery. Chips were cold and soggy

I’ve only eaten here once despite being a local resident. I have to be honest the chips were reheated and the rest of the meal was below par. Won’t be returning soon

I had a chicken fillet meal and it gave me the worst food poisoning ever. The chicken was clearly refried after sitting there a very long time, I should’ve known whilst eating it.

Saw mixed reviews but decided to give it a try for a Friday Fish and Chips and thought I’d set the record straight. Bad news Waited 20 minutes to get served. That’s the longest I’ve had to wait in a Chippy. Also ordered the curry sauce which was tiny. Good news: Chips were cooked to perfection, nice and fluffy and the portion was generous. Curry sauce was tasty albeit a little small. Fish was soft and succulent and tasted fresh. Overall Quite impressed with the quality and portion size. Curry sauce could have been bigger.

Had a really bad meal not cheap most definitely not going back chips were refried i dont know how many times. Just like rocks not a way to treat customers

Ordered cheese burger and chips. Ended up with a piece of leather in a dry bun no sign of cheese and the chips had been cooked so many times they nearly broke my teeth. Avoid at all costs.

The chips had been re fried so much they were dry and you could only taste oil and were also cold.The cod was tasteless and the batter was awful over fried with pockets of oil when you ate it.

I don't normally leave reviews but just received my order and it's completely inedible. The chips were hard, greasy and stunk of fish as did the saveloy. Would definitely not order again.

Probably the worst chips I’ve ever tasted. Stale Please don’t eat here unless you want rotten food. I suspect that the food had been cooked for hours before being dished up. Don’t go here. Nothing is fresh

Was really craving a kebab and chips but was so disappointed with the food. Chicken was so rubbery and flavourless and the chips stunk of fish it was nasty. Ended up throwing it away! so many nicer places around avoid here.

If you like chicken wings with fish flavour this is the right place. They used the same oil where they fried fish. When I opened the package, the smell of fish was very hard. I've spent £3.50 for 5 wings, nearly double of others in London and was the worst wings I bought in my life. Try to eat but going straight to the bin, then goes to nearest KFC.

I come regularly to this restaurant and I must say quality of food and service has noticeably improved and they recently received their 5 stars rating for their excellent work!! I highly recommend it with their friendly staff and generous portions. Just amazing!

Really liked the fact that it didn’t taste as oily as other places, and the ingredients were quite fresh! Will definitely come back again.

Was a bit disappointed that they let customers in not wearing a mask especially considering there's food all about the place and service counters. Fish was lovely though and I didn't catch CoVid, so all good there then!

Odereded on deliveroo they got it wrong i had to drive there to get my order corrected basically ended up with cold horrible food

For quick meals this place is great. We picked up fish and chips twice and both times the meals were excellent quality. The fish preparation is done fresh including the frying of the chips. You have to if course wait for the meal to be cooked :-)

Extremely rude staff. Unbelievably slow service. Expensive food. The staff attitude disgusted me the most. Think twice before you walk in!

If I could give 0 stars I would, very disappointed and will not be ordering from here again!! 1: paid £3 for a can of come as ordered a bottle and got one can NO bottle 2: asked for extra chilli sauce and got no chilli sauce 3: asked for and paid for extra salad and got hardly any 4: No vinegar on the chips (which were also cold) 5: very rude delivery driver DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!

Staff were extremely rude and were being racist in their language as I could understand them. Please avoid much more nicer and cleaner places nearby!

The menu has more options than they actually sell, which was a bit confusing but it seemed clean and tidy and staff were kind.

Any food I've ordered from here has always been delicious. Staff always greet you with a friendly smile. Try and get here in between train arrivals to avoid the rush.

Quick and easy meal when time is short, they have a good selection and always tastes fresh. It’s a shame they don’t deliver though.

Stopped in after not using for quite a few years . I should have walked pass large donner and small chips 8.00 asked for all salad but the person who was doing asked if I wanted sauce I said mayo then give it to some one else to finish . When I got home salad was just onion and mayo nowt else what I asked for . It was suppose to be a large clearly not and no taste to the meat chips ok . I will not be back short portions and high prices

We love their cod and chips as well as quarter pounder and doner kebabs (lamb). Staff always very friendly and polite and work really hard. Never been disappointed with the food.

We finally get home and we nearly finish the chips when my friend finds a mouldy chip in the box. Disgusting. And we payed £1.70 for a small portion of chips. NEVER GO THERE!

For a pit stop you cannot go wrong. Friendly staff and food that certainly fills you up on a lunch break. Great 1/2 cheese burger and chips all day long. Certainly filled a gap and would happily be back for more!

This shouldn't really be reviewed as a restaurant, because it is purely a take-away establishment. Really, really, really nothing to write home about. Convenient for anyone leaving the station, and provided you don't go to late in the evening when the chips have been sitting getting stale they are OK. The food - on the whole - is pretty average. The pies, by the very nature of being pre-packed are no better or worse than anywhere else of similar ilk. The fish and the kebabs can be quite variable. I've had good crisp fish, I've had soggy fish, but the kebabs are never better than mediocre. Very little flavour to them. And they don't seem to change the frying oil as often as they should, so sometimes that alone makes the food unpalatable. Sad, because on this site when it first set up shop in the 90s it's predecessor used to be the best fish and ship chop for (literally) miles around.
