Super Wok in Newham

my husband and placed an order on the phone the girl who took my order was really friendly and polite when we collected as we live locally. the food was lovely enjoyed every bit of it especially the chow mein. Will 100% be ordering from this great little place again. sorry no photos as we ate it as it was so delicious

I used to use this Chinese years ago as it was the nearest one to me but there was much better ones as the food was average. I moved away and started going to lams house and thought that was much better quality food until 2 weeks ago lams was shut so I thought I’d give superwok another go as it was the only one open well……. I’m so glad I did.The food was excellent and we really enjoyed it so I recommend my family to try it and they was surprised at how good it was. I never write reviews but I thought on this occasion that they really deserve a compliment as I have ordered it again tonight and thoroughly enjoyed it once again! My compliments to the chef

Food was delivered hot and is always tasty

I’ve ordered many times from this restaurant but this was shocking. The food was cold on arrival but that would have been ok if the quality was good. It was awful. . The prawn toast looked burnt but when biting into it it was soggy and mushy and I’m not even sure it was prawn in there - no pinkness at all and tasteless. The pancake rolls were stodgy and almost no filling to them. The special fried rice and vermicelli dishes tasted disgusting, like they were not fresh ingredients used. I’m actually concerned for my health after eating what we did. The duck we had was fine and tasted ok, thankfully otherwise we’d have gone very hungry tonight. So disappointed and after years of ordering from this restaurant I’m not going to ever order from here again.

Very very late & luke warm food

You could do with improving the estimated timing for delivery given on the app. I ordered at about 6.30pm, got an estimated delivery of 7.45pm but order was delivered before 7.00pm (which was fine on this occasion). Annoying to have such a big difference though.

Twice I didn’t get the free prawn crackers that they said you get when ordering over £15. It took - hour 40 mins to arrive!

Food I ordered was what I wanted. I had ordered this 2 weeks ago so fancied the same again, but couldn’t remember because I had ordered in the restaurant to takeaway, so I guessed and got it right. Happy customer.

Food was hot. Tasted great. Beef a bit more tender this time. Nice Friday night takeaway treat. Have used this Chinese takeaway several times and will continue to do so.

Food arrived half an hour earlier than ETA. I was starving so it's great.

It was absolutely a waste of money and time

I appreciate it was NY eve but I ordered food at 5:45 for a 7:30 delivery ..... it arrived at 9pm after three chasers. Then the order was incorrect with two dishes different to what was originally requested. Then the food was not fresh and clearly had been sat waiting to be delivered. Poor all round and very disappointing

Unfortunately for the first time my meal was a little cold and the prawn toast and dumplings were burnt and the ribs oversalted. Can honestly say I didn't enjoy the meal. Such a shame as usually I recommend Super Wok Disappointed

Bbq sauce was very salty and I spend nearly £20 for no free prawn crackers

This was one of the worst Chinese takeaways I've ever had and I eat I lot of Chinese food in newham and tower hamlets I ordered chicken curry and spicy noodles and a bbq sauce and two pancake rolls the pancake rolls were over cooked and slightly burnt the bbq sauce had way too much salt in it the chicken curry was bland and tasteless it was basically a waste of 18 quid will definitely not be getting food from this takeaway again and I dont really do reviews but this was so bad I had no choice but too leave one and too all the people who left rave reviews about there food obviously dont have a clue about a decent Chinese takeaway.

No apology from retailer. No call back. Food was tepid not hot. Driver tried to tell me it was hot. Doubt I’ll use again

Never again. The order took an hour & 50mins to arrive, whoever answers the phone at the restaurant is extremely unhelpful & has no interest in assisting. After waiting so long, as expected the food was stone cold, rubbery & bland. Would not recommend to anyone.

This Chinese takeaway is consistent. Again they served up delicious food. Worth the one hour wait. That’s 4 yummy meals out of 4 orders so far. Thank you.

Superb Chinese. Everything arrived fresh and hot and was cooked perfectly. Excellent duck followed by a really good Chinese curry. Couldn’t fault it and wouldn’t hesitate to use it again.

Always had good service from this restaurant. Was surprised crispy duck wasn't already shredded as with previous orders, but maybe that's a covid-19 thing. Free pineapple fritters were a nice touch too. On this occasion, was also happy my order turned up earlier than was specified on the order confirmation.

However i dont receive any prawn crackers this is the second time ive ordedes from here and not received any and it says orders over £15 receive prawn crackers

Second food order from this Chinese restaurant. Consistently FANTASTIC delicious food. I had the beef chow mein, beef curry with egg fried rice. The meat in both dishes is pretty tender a tasty. NOT salty, and not oily. Decent amount of meat too. Egg fried rice isn’t oily or salty, it’s just right. Best Chinese in East London.

Encontré su comida demasiado salada, o demasiado dulce, insípida o sin una cantidad razonable de carne. Entonces tú esta noche (viernes 19 de junio de 2020). . . . todo cambió. La comida era simplemente perfecta, fresca, sabrosa, con mucha carne en el plato que estaba tierna y no típicamente salada, también estaba bien empaquetada. Por fin he encontrado un restaurante chino que ofrece y ofrece buena comida. Ya envié mi agradecimiento al restaurante y volveré a pedir en este establecimiento. Pedí directamente en su sitio web, pero también soy consciente de que están en Just Eat.

Food hot & fresh but had to wait a while for it. To be expected in current climate I suppose.

Food arrived early and hot. Full of flavour and enjoyed very much. Haven’t had tasty Chinese in a long time. Well worth it. Portion sizes are great. Enough for leftovers lol. Well done. Keep it up. Will be ordering again.

The food was really good. Arrived hot, and it wasn't overly greasy or oily. It was a little late, but we did know that it was because we live in an area that doesn't show up as it should on the map, and the road signs are kind of blocked at the moment. When I called the restaurant, the lady that answered was very kind and helpful and gave us a quick and proper solution to ensure our food was delivered correctly. The driver was lovely too. Will definitely order again.

The lady on the phone in the restaurant was very polite and concerned that the meal arrived a half hour later than the 'latest' time it was promised. I really do think the driver who came in a car, paid little heed or care to his instructions for the evening. The food was nice but a bit cold.

The food was late without an estimated time, when i called the restaurant he said he didn't know, the driver didn't come into the hotel i had to go out to meet him, and he accused me of not paying even though i paid online, terrible customer service

Arrived 35 minutes late, food was cold when it got here, don't know why it took so long, usually takes 5 minutes to arrive, didn't say sorry, very bad service.

The food was extremely poor. The spicy chicken wings and spicy shredded chicken was dry and too crunchy. The satay and black bean was tasteless. Very disappointed.

The rice was tasty, but the duck was really dry. I ordered Thai red curry, but a chicken and mushroom dish was delivered instead, which didn't taste very nice. The beef black bean was quite nice. All the food arrived on time and hot, but overall disappointing for the price

The food was very nice. Nothing felt greasy like some Chinese takeaways. The delivery driver was polite and the service when I called was very respectful. Only negative was a 1.5 hour wait but I did order on a Saturday evening so was expecting some delay. Overall I would definitely use them again

Pad Thai had really thin noodles and so was a bit strange!

Ordered chicken balls, salt & pepper squid and Singapore noodles on Friday evening around 8pm. Estimated delivery time 45 mins. Nothing arrived after this time so tried to call restaurant several times but only got the busy tone. Justeat customer service tried calling restaurant and their alternative nums but same thing happened. I've no idea whether delivery is on its way or not. Food eventually arrived 20 mins late. Squid had absolutely no flavour at all and was soggy. Chicken balls soggy and you only get a small 50ml pot of sauce with a full portion which is not enough. Singapore noodles were good. First time here and will never try this place again.

I found the chicken better than the beef, however overall the food was worth it, so I'd recommend it.

Best Chinese around. Always a high standard of food and great customer service. Highly recommended.

Delivered before time! Quality of food was okay. The Satay chicken was with gellied sauce definitely not peanut sauce had none or little taste if peanut. Otherwise the rest if the order was good. Would order again from the place.

The rice tasted disgusting there was no flavour to it sweet and sour chicken balls tasted like dough had to throw the food away wasting my money

I ordered from this place many times before and never had problems. Today, however the food was disappointing. It had a foul smell, tasted like it was out of date and no one in my family forced themselves to eat it fearing for their health. Very bitter about wasting money on almost inedible food.

The chicken rolls were good, however I felt that the size of the rolls was too small and thin. Moreover, the chicken balls did not taste like fresh chicken, but more like wet pastry. The Thai Green curry also did not taste very good; nothing like it's supposed to taste like.

I asked for Thai green curry but they gave me something different and it wasn't good. Sweet and sour chicken was okay. Satay chicken was bad.

So bad! Based on the other great reviews we were confident to give it a try but everything except the egg fried rice and chow mein we're a complete let down. The duck in plum sauce was inedible and the crispy chilli beef was a grey-pink mass of gloop. Not what we were hoping for!

PLEASE READ!!!!! The food itself tasted fine... We got halfway through our spare ribs and found a HUGE FLY in the bottom of the tub! Absolutely horrendous! Will not order from here again!

pancake rolls. mushroom chow mein all first class sadly the spare ribs were well over cooked and dry ordered them in sauce but turned up dry with sauce in the bottom of the container

Food came very quickly! Very impressed. Nice delivery guy. Food was great too except the sweet & sour sauce. It was way too watery! Had to bin it. Apart from that was lovely. Would recommend.

I am not happy with my order! The Thai Curry was NOT AT ALL curry. They clearly forgot to add coconut milk but claimed it was different cooking style. No it isnt. They forgot or ran out of it. It was justwatery and oily and was disgusting! Not curry at all! They offered me £3 off for each dish but i wouldnt even pay £3 for these!!

Delivery driver was really polite and food delivered, hot, and within the time given. The Chicken Satay skewers were a bit tough and the prawn crackers a bit stale but the rest of the food was superb! Full of flavour and a nice kick.

Great value food. Super quick delivery.

It was my first time ordering from them and the deep fried prawns didn't really have a flavour and the vegetable fried rice was ok. I was just disappointed because they took over an hour to deliver my food.
