Super Natural Newcastle in Newcastle upon Tyne

Came for Valentines and it was phenomenal! Did have an issue where they didn't have my booking but they still accommodated which I'm super grateful for. Had the hummus starter and Danshak curry main and they were both to die for. Super rich with flavours. Curry was creamy with a warm spice running through. Foccacia was soft with a nice salty kick. The chocolate moussee dessert hadn't set so was mostly liquid but as a testament to how good it all was, I didn't even care. Will 100% be back and can't recommend enough!

A great place to meet people for coffee and food at a vegetarian place with a great variety of options for vegans. The listing currently states this is a vegan restaurant, but this is not the case. It offers cow's milk - although the response to this review suggests all the food, alcohol, and soft drinks are suitable for vegans. I was confused as one menu mentions things like 'feta' without making it clear this is plant-based on the website, if it is indeed plant-based. It is also a good place for those not able to get to (or those unwilling to go to) an entirely vegan café/restaurant. I would give it five stars had they been fully vegan. It is a great place. I just hope they drop animal products entirely.

My new favourite place to eat in Newcastle! Had an early dinner tonight and the food was fresh, tasty, plentiful and served with a smile. What a lovely, lovely place. The atmosphere is so welcoming. Will definitely be back to sample Sunday lunch 😍

Moved to Newcastle last year and visited Supernatural quite a few times. The portions are massive!!! the food tastes good, the servers are nice and the atmosphere is decent. We popped in before visiting the Northern Lights display and had one of their Christmas Dinners and I can't believe they were knocking these out without booking and for £16.99 (I think it was). Really tasty, well cooked, a little bit of everything and unbelievably filling!

The food was so delicious we had to go twice in one day 🤩 The menu had so many yummy options it was difficult to choose, but a special mention goes to the Christmas sandwhich, one of the best meals I’ve ever had. Will definitely be going back!

Christmas dinner was excellent and the Seitan "Turkey" more tasty than real Turkey. My friend had Gluten free Lasagne which was lovely for her.

Loved the place. At first I was surprised by the way it works, you have to go order at the till and pay there and then they serve you, and once you are done you just leave. It was fun. The food was amazing. Very tasty.

excellent food, Recommended by a friend, usually not keen on vegan places as can be very potatoes based but no this place was unreal and food was outstanding it's so popular so if u planning on coming book first price is fair to service brilliant, they serve you and give you what you need but they don't hound you or rush you all in all 5 stars

We took our daughter and a couple of her friends here for lunch as a birthday treat, and it was a hit, even with the non vegetarian members of our party. I was particularly impressed with the vast choice of vegan dishes with different flavours that wasn't just the boring usual suspects. Between us we ordered: chickpea and lentil dahl, mushroom and aubergine lasagne, chilli con carne/Verde, gyros and traditional "fish" and chips. The thick cut chips in particular were comforting and moreish! Portions were generous without being overpriced. This is a wonderful place to go whether you're vegan, vegetarian or just fancied a non meat meal for a change. You will not be disappointed.

Popped in for coffee with a friend, got a latte and my friend had a soup 🍲 It’s a lovely spacious venue with beautiful interiors, wallpaper and fairy lights as decor, lots of seating too. The latte I got was huge, almost served in a soup bowl style cup 😊 The food looked delicious, the menu is vast. Personally would only be somewhere I would eat as a treat as the food is a little pricey but did look good. The location is good and would go back!

Best vegan cafe we've been to by a country mile. Though unfortunately were now excluded from it (like so much else in the city), thanks to my wife's declining mobility and the council"s discriminatory accessibility policies. Sorry, Super Natural.

Large, spacious café with a natural, woody interior decor and a fully plant-based menu. We had brunch and enjoyed some of the best vegan options we’ve had. The brunch burger felt like a very novel way of combining the flavours of a classic cooked breakfast and came with *perfectly* cooked and seasoned fries. The all-day breakfast might be the best vegan cooked breakfast either of us have had, with the inclusion of a roasted potato on the side a tasty and inspired addition. The portion sizes were generous and the food and drink very reasonably priced, a hearty breakfast and hot drink coming to around £16 per person. If we didn’t already have other breakfast plans we could comfortably come here every day without regret. Worth a detour to visit!

It’s such a treat to have a full menu of vegan options - the food is amazing. Big portions, tasty and wholesome. Also, the best vegan cheesecake I’ve ever had. Please open a Super Natural in Whitley Bay!

nice ambient , good prices in the heart of New Castle

Food was great, however apparently you have to specify that you want loaded chips with curry, even though the Loaded chips on the menu come with curry. Without specifying the chips will just come as thick chips with f all on it and waitress will get very defensive about it. Even though they charged you for loaded chips ….

Lovely friendly place to stop for a bite to eat and a drink. Always an excellent selection of nice food, nice staff and reasonably priced. We always enjoy it very much 😁

As a vegan who struggles to get meal options in most places, I love this place. It also helps that the food is clearly made fresh on the day and tastes amazing. Staff are friendly and helpful, atmosphere is lovely and I just can't fault it. Last visit was with non vegan friends (who went for me so I had options for once) and they loved it!! Freshly made, good, healthy food. A must visit if you're in Newcastle.

Delightful place, great service and food. Hope that the owners renew the playlist occasionally. As a teen in the 70' l know all the tunes which are great and nostalgic but would drive me crazy if it went on day after day. That said will defo return.

This place is absolutely fantastic, a gem in the middle of town. Really fantastic options for all vegetarians and vegans, the whole menu is filled with really great filling options. Plus, they're dog-friendly! We took our large Anatolian Shepherd in and didn't feel cramped like we can do in other dog-friendly places because of his size.

Always great 👍We went on a Thursday evening this time so we could book ( we travelled up especially ) after we've had some lovely lunches there and wanted the evening experience. Nice mix of vegan/veggie fast food and wholefood dishes, very good prices and portion size . 5 meals for £79 ! Something for everyone , especially with a 'mixed' group . I like that you pay at bar for drinks and food before you get it so you can go as a group but all pay separately . Also like the open kitchen . Staff friendly and communicative . Relaxed space but doesn't attract those who would spoil the atmosphere. Thank you !

Delicious all vegan restaurant with great staff! The Lasagna is very much worth it.

I and my spouse ate a late lunch here and each had an item from the “Lite Bites”, and my spouse also had the soup of the day. The results were mixed. I ordered the Greek “Feta” salad, and it was OK, but nothing outstanding. They did not put “feta” in quotes, but I did, because it is definitely not feta, but a vegan imitation. I’m not a fan of these vegan “cheese” imitations. And the salad itself was fine, but nothing special. My spouse ordered the soup of the day and the Smashed Avocado. The soup was a large portion and he enjoyed it and the smashed avocado. I thought the indoor decor was awful and dark and the noise level way too high between the music and the talking. We dined outdoors - there are a couple of little tables in a fenced off area outside, but not a great setup (but even with the traffic noise, preferable to the thumping music and noise level inside).

Found this restaurant by accident. Straight away I was drawn in. The atmosphere and the food looked inviting. The friendly staff couldn't have helped more. There was a delay/ loosing if our desserts but it didn't matter as it was quickly resolved and they couldn't apologise enough. Will go back again on my next visit to the city.

Cute place. Healthy but comfy. Exactly what we needed this morning. We are here on holiday and really wanted some more veggies and fruit. Not many meals we ordered in other places came with veg. Lots of vegan options. Absolutely loved the 60's music that was on. We had two dishes, 2 hot drinks and 2 smoothies for €36 or something.

One of the best places in Newcastle, love also how the place is open till late as well, not a vegan but the food is fantastic, prices are superb, staff are friendly and very respectful and always love coming here

Came for cocktails on a Saturday night - lovely and quiet and relaxed atmosphere! The fairy lights made it a really beautiful place to spend a few hours. The mango daiquiri was fabulous, best cocktail I've had in ages. Didn't eat here so can't comment on the food. Service was very friendly and quick.

I’ve known about this place since before I moved here nearly 2 years ago. So glad my friend and traded me to come today, the food was spectacular and had my first turmeric latte. So happy I can solidly add another vegan restaurant to my list of fav places

Having visited Supernatural a couple of times now I can honestly say the vegan breakfast is just fabulous! A delicious array of foods and clean plates all round! Lovely decor and good service too! Highly recommended!

Stumbled upon this restaurant and had an absolutely delicious vegan meal. The waiter was really honest that there would be a long wait as lots of people had just ordered. I really appreciated his expectation management and the (delicious and fresh) food came in exactly 30 minutes, as he had estimated.

My fiancé and I spent a few days in Newcastle for a comedy show and had struggled to find dairy-free, vegetarian options in a lot of restaurants and cafes. Then we found this gem in the last day! Wish we’d have found it earlier as we’d have eaten there every day! My fiancé had the pancakes and I had the sweet potato, zucchini and feta toastie - which was devine! Wish you could open a cafe in Formby, Southport or Liverpool!! Excellent service, great vibe, clean and quirky. Love ❤️

We tried here for the first time on Sat and the service was great & the food was delicious. I had the Mixed board with too many mixed foods to mention but all so fab especially the Mushroom Wing 😋. Lovely vegan cafe/restaurant close to the train station with super yummy food, reasonable prices and a great atmosphere. Had the Sunday lunch today and it was probably the best Sunday lunch I have ever had! Their desserts are amazing too. Its useful to book ahead as the tables fill up fast. So nice to see a vegan business thriving ❤️

Really nice place and quite busy when we went in. However, the service was good and the food was very good.I had the falafel wrap which came with fat chips (wedges) and a Wild Berry smoothie. The burrito which my friend had was filling and tasty while my other friend had big fat chips with lentils. All very good and not too badly priced. I would definitely recommend Super Natural not only for its menu but the whole feel of the place which was nice.

What an amazing place to visit! The food was delicious (those chips are unreal), and the little tipple was so good! They also do cakes, which I will definitely be back to try soon! The place is decorated beautifully and has such a nice atmosphere. Twinkly lights are always a winner!

Honestly the nicest food we found in Newcastle. Went in for brunch on Sunday, really relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The staff are lovely and very helpful, especially when recommending which cake to try. All the food is vegan, really tasty and so well made. So many tasty things to choose from. Everything we had was excellent. Next time I'm in Newcastle I'll be coming here straight off the train.

Absolutely fantastic food, lovely staff and the owner was fab.Four of us had food on the Saturday we loved it so much we booked for the Sunday dinner, £20 for a main and dessert, the best Sunday dinner I've ever had and the desserts were outstanding. We will definitely be back everytime we visit Newcastle.

Some of the best vegetarian food I have ever had

Had a late afternoon meal here on Saturday 16th March. I find this place has a lovely relaxed atmosphere and feels inviting. I don’t feel rushed at all when I’m here. I chose the shakshuka which was lovely. Generous portion and all food on the menu is reasonably priced. I really do love the potato wedges, but can never finish them all. Good thing I was with 3 others so nothing was wasted. Love this place.

I went regularly in the 80s up near princess Square, the supernatural was good then. Just found out your still in business and that's great. Next time in town, I'm coming to sample new thing's on your menu's.

This is all vegan restaurant ❤️. Menu was full of variety and Food prepared for all kind of taste buds. We luckily got window seat with the sun shine make it even better. Atmosphere was absolutely what i was looking for relaxed and calm brunch. Food was delicious. Tried their supernatural smoothies wild berry. which was very refreshing. Their vegan brownie was just yum… good food good day ☺️

Really lovely food. I had smashed avocado on toast. I'd definitely go back. The only issue was getting the Guinness machine to pour the drink. It was a bit delayed.

As someone who is always a bit sceptical about vegan food- wow, this place is amazing! My little sister was visiting and is vegan so we gave here a try and it did not disappoint. The food was delicious, the staff were friendly and the atmosphere in the restaurant was really lovely. It was reasonably priced too which was a nice surprise. Whether you're vegan or not, this is a really great restaurant with caring and attentive staff.

Great atmosphere, the cafe looks amazing. Coffee was good but food was bland. Would recommend for coffee and cake but nothing more. For what we had, Menu states pancakes, but you get one crepe, The brunch burger was dry and tasteless.

We liked this so much that we had to come again on our weekend in Newcastle! Great vegan dinner, brunch, and dessert, excellent staff, very cosy environment, cute dogs. ☺️
