Pretty good - chow mein was slightly bland and didnt seem to have the usual colour maybe missing soy? Unsure however I would order again restarted latter was good

So so bad. Oily, bland and didn't seem fresh at all. Didn't let my kids eat it in fear of getting food poisoning. I would avoid as total waste of money.

Eaten here a couple of times before. The costumer service is getting worse. Grumpy unwelcoming ladies (Mother and daughters). The poor Chinese Man working at the back is nice though.

Had black bean beef, meat was tasty and tender. Served in under 5 minutes.

Fabulous food, it took a little longer to prepare and deliver but once you taste the food you will understand that lot of effort has gone into preparing something very delicious. It's cash only but you can order online even when you're in the shop and mark for collection 👍🏻

By far the best Chinese in Brighton and I’ve tried a fair few. This place is always our go to, it’s delicious. Portion sizes are great, always really tasty. Staff are really friendly if collecting, highly recommend!!

I can't tell you how many times I've walked past as someone who lives nearby and not been able to order because it's cash only. There's no legitimate reason in this day and age for a business to be this way. Cash management costs are very high, and card payments are so much more affordable than they used to be. But, if you have a cash intensive business, you have more ability to mask the true amount of funds coming in, or to replace them with funds from *elsewhere* and use the cash for other purposes. Rating poorly on the basis of potential criminality and excluding people who don't carry cash. EDIT - I did actually go here on a wbim and make an order with cash eventually out of curiosity. The woman who served me was just plain rude and extremely unpleasant. They'd also crossed out all the prices on the menu and basically just charged me whatever they fancied... And to top it all off, the food was pretty awful as well. I stand by my previous view that the business does not appear to be legitimate.

I ordered from this restaurant and they cancelled my order because they didn't want to cook a separate chicken fried rice without egg due too having egg allergies. This Chinese shop is a joke and wasn't even fazed by the fact id already waited over an hour before they cancelled my order. Never ordering from their again

The food was not good and neither was the service.

First time trying this place .... NEVER AGAIN, was delivered very quickly which was nice but the food was bloody awful, nothing tasted fresh not even the chips, rice , chow mein, so called crispy chilli beef was awful, it all looked like something someone had thrown up , on top of that it wasn't very hot and furthermore it all tasted like it was cooked yesterday or the day before then left on a plate and reheated. Take aways are not cheap and in the current climate you want decent food when your paying for a take out. I'm sorry but iv got absolutely nothing good to say, didn't even eat half of it, disgusting! Imo AVOID ! Over 45 quid for cold/ what seems like old nasty food that's been cooked and left out for days then reheated. All of us feel prity sick just looking at it , sorry for the bad review but not sorry, nasty as hell! Feel very angry TBF, very p'ed off !

Brilliant vegan options, I regularly order from this takeaway having struggled to find affordable vegan Chinese takeaway with all the classics I used to enjoy. Find the value for money very good and the food is always hot and haven’t had any complaints about the quality.

Great place for a take out. We ordered quite late at night but the food arrived hot and quickly. Salt and pepper prawns are amazing 👏🏻 The hot and sour soup too

Absolute rubbish don't bother full of oil £53 wasted if I had transport I'd have taken it all back please don't use this place

I’m sad to leave such a bad review but the food we had delivered last night was woeful. The crispy duck was just fat no crisp at all and very little meat. The pan fried pork belly and chilli’s was not good either. Really bland apart from the good amount of chilli’s. The prawn dish was also a big disappointment. Prawn toasts were good but that wasnt enough to save it.

The food is disgusting. It’s like it’s already been made and just got it out the freezer and heated it up. It’s not fresh at all I would seriously not recommend this restaurant I don’t see how it’s got four stars I give it 0 if I’m honest, they should pay you to eat there the food is that bad

I been a loyal customer for 5 months now and I have to say This is the best Chinese food in Brighton and I usually get the same order ( Veggie Hot and Sour soup the best🔥 and prawn toasts) but I also love the chicken balls, the vegetable rolls and the Lemon Chicken Wings!!!! Highly suggest this takeaway. Good people as well

Sorry to have to leave a bad review but I was disappointed with my food. To be fair it was NYE so probably busy but I ordered early at 5:30. Took an hour to arrive. Delivery driver couldn't find my property. Just moved to seven dials area so tried this as is very close. Food was stone cold and bland. Crispy duck not crispy at all. And no prawn crackers chucked in with an order of over £30 (doesn't claim to, but most takeaways do) was excited to have a lovely Chinese takeaway so felt let down. Unfortunately lost a customer 😕

It’s a shame, the food was good but got really bad food poisoning from a chicken dish.

We did not enjoy the meal that was delivered to us last night. The hot and sour soup was okay but all the other dishes lacked seasoning and were quite bland. The portion sizes were generous but really, chilli oil chicken had no heat. All other dishes needed seasoning.

Best Chinese Food Takeaway Shop in Brighton. Privileged to live next door as they are a very friendly family business... The food and service is soooo much better since they moved in. Food is really fresh and delicious, not too fatty or oily. Consistently good. Some of the best spring rolls I've ever had. Excellent quality chicken balls. Salt and pepper chicken wings are 👌. I first ordered from Super because they are open late, but I came back coz it's delicious. Highly recommend the Singapore noodles and the sweet and sour chicken balls. The staff are very friendly too. It was refreshing to pay by cash when so many other places only rely on online card payments, although obviously that service is offered here too.

I rarely get takeouts but when I do I’m loyal and I’ve been coming here for over 20 years, albeit once or twice a year. I always order the same thing and I was even remarking today how when I find a place I’m ok with I stick to them and the same order, so I’ve checked before, multiple times the choice is vegan friendly. Today however, I was given noodles with all kinds of meat in. I accept there was a miscommunication but as far as I was concerned I was ordering plain noodles but apparently ordered the meat - the thing that has infuriated me beyond anything was the attitude of the person on the phone when I called to explain the situation - rude, dismissive and actually came over as mocking - I was pretty horrified to find meat all over my dinner! No concern or apology expressed; she just said she’d give me half price to correct the order and actually laughed at me. Rude - rude - rude. No, your menu wasn’t clear, but more specifically, your attitude and customer service stinks. 🤬 P.S. a casual glance at the other reviews quickly reveals other veggies and vegans have had similar experiences - they obviously don’t care about their vegan customers & they’ve clearly changed hands (used to be Brighton Wok who couldn’t do enough to correct a situation years back when similar happened)

Don’t go here! I had a takeaway from here and they messed up my order badly. I’ve been vegetarian for over 3 years and I got a sweetcorn soup that was labelled as veggie and as I was eating it I found massive chunks of chicken inside! When I called up the lady said she would speak to the chef, then came back and said sorry the chef messed it up. I asked for a full refund as I couldn’t eat any of my food out of fear of contamination but the lady said it was now up to deliveroo. They didn’t say sorry or seemed concerned in the slightest. Will never order from here again and will never recommend this place!!!

I moved to Brighton from the US and always struggled with the Chinese takeaways and trying to find one I like. I’ve gotten the duck fried rice and curry sauce wth pork dumplings and I can say it has completely changed my opinion on British chinese takeaways. Unbelievably good and with accurate delivery times, it has become a part of my routine.

One of Brighton's only late night chineese takeaways/delivery services that are open into the early hours of the morning and the service is quick, food is excellent and well done for staying open at such late hours. Some of us really do appreciate it.

Super Chinese is so good I love the house special udon and egg fried rice and all of the sweet and sour dishes. The delivery was also very quick and the woman who delivered it was soo kind. I would definitely recommend . I will definitely order agian.

The former Brighton Wok was a very middle of the road Chinese takeaway. Living nearby it's not the nearest, and it wasn't a household favourite. Never too sure if a takeaways name change is a real change of ownership, a tax dodge of some sort or an attempt to escape from an unfavourable reputation. This has very clearly been a new business replacing the previous incarnation. New menu, new chefs in the kitchen, new online ordering system. The food is amazing, just excellent. People tend to stick with the same things they order, and sure, I'm a huge fan of the House Special Chow Mein noodles, but I've definitely spent the last two years working through the menu and I've not once been disappointed. I can't speak to delivery at the weeks busiest times as I try to avoid them. If you want a great Chinese food delivery, piping hot, incredibly tasty, good portion sizes and delivered in 25 to 30 minutes, scan the QR Code on a Tuesday or Wednesday like I do.

No problems, and seemingly the only takeaway open until 2am on a Friday night, convenient for my late working hours. Duck and pineapple was great, the egg fried rice has generous amounts of egg. Good value.

We have ordered from this place, and I’m not sure if it depends on what day of the week you order the food as sometimes it’s ok and other times it’s horrible because what I had delivered was over cooked, the sweet and sour chicken, pork and prawn balls were cooked in old cooking oil and burnt they were revolting, the beef curry was runny and tasteless and now I’m wondering if I’m going to wake up with food poisoning in the morning

this is our local chinese, however i genuinely think it’s the best available. they have great vegan/ vegetarian options including duck pancakes and beef crispy noodles. the staff are lovely also. definitely recommend!

I've been ordering from here for a while, usually once a week and have always been well served. As I live nearby the food usually is delivered quickly. Never had a problem and I find these one of the best Chinese food restaurants. The crispy chilli beef is delicious.

Tried many Chinese takeaways in Brighton and this restaurant is way far the very best I’ve had.I highly recommend very tasty food. I will certainly be sticking with Super Chinese .Well done Super Chinese. Shame on some people leaving negative feedback all lies.

Ordered a takeaway tonight. Had the chow mein, crab and sweetcorn soup, Cantonese pork and salt amd pepper ribs. All of it was great. Had a really nice chat with the chef and his kids at the shop. We used to eat at Brighton Wok and this is even better. Will definitely be eating here as a regular from now on. Reasonable price and cooked fast.

We were worried when Brighton Wok changed as they were pretty reliable, but the new people have impressed us in all departments. Excellent sauces (love the free BBQ that comes with the special fried rice), interesting chef specials, filling portions and finally the prawn crackers are thick and flavoursome (had been suggesting Brighton Wok improve them for months). Always had pleasant customer service as well. Thanks and hope it continues. 👍🏼

Ordered at 6.30pm and still waiting now at 11pm. Have called up a few times and keep being told "its cooking" called again 30 minutes ago and told it'll be with us in 5 minutes. 4 and a half hour later, no food and money taken. Poor communication. Food arrived at 11.15pm. Please communicate better with customers and be honest about delivery times. One item missing (chips) food was quite nice but wasn't happy with the 4 hours and 45 minutes wait and poor communication.

Worst curry ever. Tasted like a overcooked chicken casserole. Moreover, the chicken tasted off, so had to bin the lot. Was a regular customer at BTN Wok, such a shame. Will not recommend and certainly won't use again 😢
