Sunnyside in East Ayrshire

Well if you want to meet nice waiting staff here is the place to go ,order placed and double checked.All good you think ? If you think there's a chef back there that can read the order then you are wrong . Burger ordered ,no cheese,brought out with cheese ! Goats cheese "pizza"( baguette )without the goats cheese And the icing on the cake Meat chilli instead of 5 bean vegetarian chilli ! The waitress noticed the no goats cheese as she served it and took it away to bring it back with dollops of cheese added ( not melted). My husband put up with cheese on the burger .My sister thought? is this Quorn or real mince and it was sent back as the waitress confirmed it was real mince ! On going to pay the bill I expected the chilli to be taken off the bill as I hate that it's arriving later and one person is eating on their own , to be told by the chef ,in his 25 years in the industry he has never heard of anyone taking a meal off the bill because it was wrong ,nor did he apologize!His attitude was you got it didn't you ,you aren't getting you fed meat to a vegetarian! He actually had a really bad attitude with me saying I'll take a couple of quid off but not £10.50 .I said it's the first time I've visited and it will be my last and he said he would have said more but there were other customers there ! If you had videoed it you'd still think unbelievable did it really happen . A cafe in the middle of nowhere,thought we would give it a try as it was dog friendly and had a garden centre. We bypassed plants and I'd rather have given the £50 I wasted there to charity . Awful,awful guy . AVOID!

The place is lovely, light and airy. Nice decor as well. The manger has a sunny disposition, very welcoming and happy. The price for the food and beverages is very reasonable. Food is excellent and good portion control. Also the food is good quality.

Had coffee and strawberry tarts . Was a great price. Very nice too. Also a lot of very healthy ,reasonably priced plants . Two of my favourite things . Cake and coffee

Our first visit here at the Cottage cafe, Sunnyside in Kilmarnock. Breakfast was very good. I had the vegetarian, hubby the light breakfast. Tasted good. We both drink decaf coffee so was pleased with our decaf plus they did oat milk which I take in my coffee, so this ticked all my boxes. Prices very reasonable considering some other places. We left with some cakes for our tea. Not much in the way of plants at the moment as explained due to storm damage, the sister shop in Kilwinning is the place to go. Staff were very friendly & attentive. Will visit again.

Party of four visited today and had a fantastic lunch, wee bit slow but was very, very busy and well worth the wait. We will certainly be back.

What a great find. Lovely independently owned garden centre, packed full of gorgeous autumn plants. Had lunch afterwards. Great choice of freshly made food. Excellent coffee and finish off with some delicious home baking. Well definitely be returning soon

Visited this hidden gem today and have to say very impressed!! Food fresh and delicious, great menu and best coffee I've had locally. Staff and atmosphere very welcoming and great service as well. Will definitely be back soon!

Just awful. Scones were not fresh. Coffee was mostly froth. Not very clean. Especially the toilets which were in portacabin type thing. Very few plant. Considering where it is they really need to up their game big time. We definitely won’t be back

This was a great find yesterday. Wanted to go somewhere new for lunch and came across this on the internet. Great food and service from the lovely ladies there. The garden centre was an added bonus with brilliant plants at a very competitive price. This is very close to the south side of Glasgow and will no doubt become very popular once it is discovered.

Beautiful newly reopened Garden centre and coffee shop. Huge selection of lovely shrubs, trees and plants as well as compost etc. Very reasonably priced. Delicious food, home baked cakes to die for. Excellent service by very friendly staff.

Called in for morning coffee and were delighted. An extensive menu on offer, all at very reasonable prices. When the food came it was obviously freshly made and the helpings were generous. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and efficient. The cafe is dog friendly, which was a bonus, and a dog biscuit was offered when we were paying. We will certainly go again and would recommend it highly.

Comida maravillosa. Casa para hornear en su mejor momento. Increíble bollos. Un montón de sopas y bandeja de pastas. Siempre ocupado. Personal amable y feliz.

Discovered this small country Garden Centre and restaurant about 18 months ago and visit regularly since ( Now open winter hours Thursday to Sunday) Quality home made food cooked to order from a small but well balanced Menu Coffee Just wonderful infact one of the best in Ayrshire Pleasant staff and spotlessly clean Take away delicious soups or Steak pies along with Yummy Cakes . Afternoon Tea and cakes NOT to be missed

With my wife, we visited here latish on a Saturday and were very pleasantly surprised at the quality and variety of food and beverage still available, being served by very pleasant young staff Ably backed by Suki tea, the Lemon pie and Banoffee pie were both excellent, and were home made I believe We did not visit the garden centre aspect but recommend the cafeteria quite highly

Pleasantly surprised when we found this Family run cosy Garden Centre outside the village of Moscow Ayrshire Friendly highly trained staff with home made food Great Scottis Breakfast or rolls and bacon/egg tattie scone /etc and simply the best soup ive tasted in a long time Freshly baked Cheese/fruit /plain scones or Blueberry pancakes to die for Seated area very homely with log burner and area spotlessly clean Outside a Garden Centre with small selection of seasonal plants Main Attraction for kids Goats Pigs Shetland pony and ducks Hens and chicks Well worth a visit Early Bird specials daily upto 1130 CLOSED ON WEDNESDAYS
