Ordered chicken nuggets & chips witch came with beans for my 4 year old daughter.it didn’t come with beans told the young girl she said I will get it Didn’t I had a very disappointed little girl my daughter loves her beans but didn’t have them

Went for tea to be really disappointed with the food. The service was quick and served by a young girl who was very polite. However, I ordered scampi and chips which should of had peas and salad on it. The chips were the best part of it. The scampi wasn't even scampi, but had some sort of bread consistency on it. No taste of scampi at all. Wouldn't mind but why pay 8.50 for it and it's not real. When I questioned about the salad and peas the answer was, did u want peas, which she preceded to bring out to me. Totally disgusted with this meal. My partner ordered surf and turf which had steak, 3 pieces of supposed scampi, 3 onion rings and chips. No peas etc which was on the menu. Sorry but not good value for money let alone getting what's on the menu for each meal.

Came for tea after spending the day at the beach, ordered the sharing platter as a starter for a family of 4, and was so full the staff had to pack our mains for takeaway! Great friendly staff, great priced food

We was looking forward to a pint and a game of pool in there. I have been using the pub for about 30 years and was very disappointed. When paying for the drinks I asked for change for the pool and the server didn't even bother to give me the cues and take the deposit. I then went to set up to find it's gone up to a pound yet the table is all ripped and barely fit for use. Then there were way too many balls in the rack for some reason and it started us with 8 red and 6 yellow balls. My partner went back to the bar and paid a fiver deposit for the cues that were bent and knackered, one of which was being held together with sellotape!! Needless to say the game was a complete washout! On top of that the bitter was barely drinkable! We are gutted as this has always been our favourite pub in Towyn and now we won't be returning 😢

Sunny's bar was absolutely amazing the staff were incredible and very polite and freindly. The service was put of this world. And the pub grub was amazing to. The pub grub did my a buffet for my dad's 60th birthday and omg it was out of this world there was so much food for the price that we paid, that we couldn't even finish it off. It was lovely the staff in the pub grub should be so proud of what they do and what they have achieved.

Took kids for tea + wow .. the food was fab. Between us we had gammon,scampi,lasagne + burger. The service was quick,the staff were very friendly + the food was fab.All fresh + delicious. We were not disappointed at all..

Waited an hour and a half for food, staff kept saying that food would come next and then another 10 minutes would go by, came cold and looked a state on the plate, wouldn’t recommend for food

Family pub with amazing food and entertainment..had one of my best summers here and id highly recommend this place to every one.... the staff all round are amazing and nothing is ever to much bother to them and they go above and beyond to accommodate...they are so helpful and lovely and add to the atmosphere of the place...the food was amazing so much so we kept going back to order more.. the entertainment never failed to impress us and the DJ i must say is one of the best around..I'd highly recommend this place for family's,couples,singles or any one wanting to have a time out to enjoy them selves as the atmosphere and service is 100%... definalty one the best to go to place in towyn

Came as 2 families expecting basic food and service however, was surprised! Pleasant staff, very clean, tasty food, reasonable price, fantastic!

Absolutely disgusting customer service, we waited 50 minutes for food we then told them we didn’t want the food as it’s taken too long we would like a refund, to be told the food is plated so we won’t be getting a refund. Avoid at all costs!!

Really, the sight of crumbling, damaged beer garden furniture and half cut parents with feral children, should have been enough to make us walk in the opposite direction straight away. But we thought, no, you know what, let's give Sunny's a go, you shouldn't always judge a book by it's cover..... To then walk into a dingy scout hut with parish hall chairs, well that should have definitely rang alarm bells. But no, we weren't giving up on Sunny's just yet.... We ordered off a menu featuring school dinners from the 90's. 3 of our party ordered fish and chips, only for the waiter to come over a good 30 minutes after we'd ordered and tell us there were only 2 fish left. Ok, fair enough, one of us chose a new meal..... Another 30 minutes pass and poor old Sunny's was down to just 1 fish. By this point we are all so hungry, we just chose another meal and kept the 1 remaining fish on order...... A further 30 minutes pass and every meal arrives, except the FISH! Where is the fish? We'd gone from 3 fish to none in an hour and a half. How? Were the staff confusing their chicken for fish, or what? The lady we approached about this was very argumentative and adamant we hadn't ordered 3 fish.... We had! And we'd paid for 3 fish too! After a bit of a debate, we did finally get a refund. I downed my pint of Roller Cola (most likely an Aldi specialty) and got out of there, quick. Next time I see a pub with crumbling walls and dilapidated furniture, I am running in the opposite direction!!

Waited over an hour and a half for food. The food was cold and just awful! Not worth the wait and when we complained we were just told they were busy. Drinks took 45 minutes and they were wrong when they came.

Went with parents and the wife with our 4 kids, ordered the chicken curry which is farmfoods Chinese currys microwaved it was disgusting, the kids all had pizza and chips which were definitely asda smart price pizzas, the garlic mushrooms were also from farmfoods and the wife's chicken burger was dry and flavourless, the parents ordered jacket spuds which are probably the best thing on the menu AVOID ALL OTHER FOOD, it's advertised as traditional home cooked food but really it's microwaved frozen crap will never visit again. Have to put 1 star cause I have to otherwise it would get none.

A gang of us went here recently and we're surprised by the choice of menu. There was eight of us but all had different meals. The service was a bit slow but the place was packed so this was to be expected. Tasty, inexpensive and large portions. Good place for hungry families. We went over to Towyn the see the children and grand children, we took them all for lunch in Sunnys, 8 of us, seated quickly, served quickly, food came in reasonable time and it was all ok, good Value. the staff were very professional, quick and friendly.

This place does what it says on the tin "Pub Grub" Its inexpensive, average looking with a fairly average menu but the food is cooked well and served promptly

Called here with a friend one night and we got in no problem with the bouncers. When at the bar we got asked for I.D I never had any but my friend did. I can understand us not getting served alcohol but to then be asked for I.D just for a coke and a lemonade is ridiculous!

Serve food until 8:30pm. Proper portions, Ended up returning for most of our evening meals. Cafe style place at the end of the pub.

Visited this place back in april when we were on holiday in towyn and i was not dissapointed, having 3 children one being a toddler it can be awkward to find somewhere accommodating but literally nothing was too much for the staff here they were so friendly and went above and beyond to make our meal fantastic even if we did at times seem like awkward customers.

we went after bad experience at the harbour , we where pleasantly surprised on going here, clean fresh, the meal, staff, service and value not one complaint would go again and recommend it xx

although this restaurant does offer a "carvery" which is no longer self service, we usually go for the main menu and the streak, every time it is cooked to perfection, the thing that could be better is offering basic steak sauces and not just peas or beans. Also paying table side for your meal before it arrives is very odd, but understandable if they have been bitten before.

Long wait for food. Says a carvery outside but none when we got inside. Even when it is on, you have to sit down, tell them what you want, more a roast dinner than a carvery. Overpricedfor what you get.

Went in as it was recommend to us. Fancied a Sunday Cauvery and thought we would give it a go. Sat by the door as it was full with other diners. Waitress came over and took our Carvery order. Came straight back to us and asked if we could pay before we had it. We must of looked like runners and believe me I'm not lol. Well we were brought our plates and it consisted of three small roasts potatoes and 3 slices of roast beef which my husband had. I'd chosen the chicken and was given the same. Then we were brought a silver tray with 2 pieces of broccoli, 2 florrettes of cauliflower and 6 carrots. Well I thought they bring mine in a bit but nope that was it. The gravy just about did my husband's plate. I had to ask for some more for mine from the kitchen which I was given a death stare from what looked like the cook. I can't even say it was nice as there was not enough to quote about. We paid £14 for the two. Rip off that's all I can say. Don't even think about going we'd of been better of going the chippie in fact that's what we did. 1st stop knightlys. Always guaranteed a good meal from there.

ok so I doubt many of the clientel to this area are Vegetarians but in the 21st century it is nice to have some choices, I didn't fancy a baked spud as I can't stand microwaved food and there was no other choices, so I opted for piza and chips and salad off the kid's menu and got one of those 35p bargain type pizas like you get in the supermarket , you know those tiny ones that are like shop bought piza in the 80s, un inspiring salad and bog standard chips. I went last year and there was a nice quiche on the menu but that wasn't there this time. It was clean though and no in your face music, it wasn't too busy either in the restuarant area but some more choices for food would be good.

The word pub grub and the location is enough to grab a hungry passer by as we did in August, firstly we found this place was at the end on Sunnys bar and didn't serve drinks?... Anyway.The place looked OK money wise with most things 6-10£ nothing special but fair.Service was again ok, when the young lady could be bothered to come over and after ordering you had to go and pay before getting food?..anyway.Most of the group had burgers and gammon and I decided to have the Chinese curry special which we had noticed the day before, yes my own fault I guess.Firstly Chinese food that came with a naan bread was odd but I sat opposite the kitchen and watched all the chaotic scenes, thankfully not relaying them to my family until we left.The cook not chief was sweating, dripping off his nose into every meal, no exaggeration I saw drips of sweat dropping onto plates, to top it off I watched them microwave a plastic container that had my Chinese chicken meal in it :/.Everyone was served around the same time but the smell that came off the curry was horrid, simply terrible and the taste well let's just say I made everyone try it around the table so it wasn't me and one even vomited, no joke it was off and God know how long it had been the special.Obviously I left mine and spent the whole night with that terrible taste in my mouth and the visuals of the sweating cook.There's better places to eat and cheaper places too all around and just because of the prime location of this place it should still be avoided in my opinion, terrible in so many ways.

Food was nice and very reasonably priced. Service was quick staff were helpful and friendly. Cannot complain at all. Also has baby change facilities through the bar side which is clean and tidy.

nice little place this loads going on dj is good ( BULLDOG ) drinks are reasonable too never had the food smelt to fatty for my liking all in all you get what you pay for i suppose . Footy is on also show other sports whilst football is on bit confusing when rugby is on as well messed my head up that thought i was drunk lol

Typical holiday resort entertainment, a bit of cheesy karaoke and OTT entertainers as would be expected! Venue itself is a decent size for Towyn and bar is large with quick and friendly staff! Very friendly atmosphere and entertainment for all ages.

Went here with 9 other family members,food was good, services was good.the waiter/waitress, was running round like headless chickens. As it was that busy.Homemade steak pie was really nice, only neg is the pastry had a soggy bottom.Childrens chicken nuggets went down well with the boys.You can go to sunny's bar next door and order alcohol,and bring it in to the cafe,as they only servre tea/coffee & juice in the cafe.You are not kept long waiting for food ,which is a good thing, its all cooked fresh to order.

Visited here last year with family, great place and lovely service and everything. But,, the drag act that was on was advertised for families, so kids were welcome on the parents backs. There was obviously going to be swearing, after half an hour some parents decided to moan which then made the act to stop the show from going on properly which spoilt the night abit really. Overall though. It's a good venue !

After visiting another pub restaurant near by (see other reviews) and being disappointed we went here and we were still not impressed but having had a long journey and not eating for a few hours we had food which was average at best.I feel the whole area of Towyn is t the best so if you want good food go somewhere else.

Food was shockingly awful,I understand that 2 for £10 isn't going to be top jolly food,but this place made wetherspoons look like a 5 star joint! Lots of places do two pub lunches for a tenner and are light years ahead of this gaff...

Small restaurant attached to Sunnys bar with a small but good menu quite a cheap place for a meal the bbq chicken melt is lovely the portions are huge no the down side try to stay away at lunchtime very busy total chaos in the kitchen very busy and nobody takes charge so nobody knows what they are doing don't order a sandwich you get 2 slices of white bread no salad and not much in the way of filling and at £2:50 steep and looked like it had just been thrown on the plate the lasagne is tasteless no white sauce just pasta lumps of tomatoe tasting minced beef with a bit of cheese on the top and cold I mentioned this to a young girl who told a short blond woman who scowled over then took 5 mins to come to the table and snapped did you want to speak to me ?? I told her the problem and she snapped well you should have sent it back !! And when I said it was tasteless she almost spat the word tasteless??? At me and stomped off bad customer service and from an older waitress too the young ones were better you don't expect 5* service in a place like this but you have a right to polite staff with edible hot food I guess most of the patrons in here are once only holiday makers rather than owners it's a shame as when quite they can deliver very nice food it has put me off visiting again

Visited here in the evening for a few drinks - always entertaining. They had karaoke on - you couldn't get better entertainment and the drinks were cheap.

We have been here twice for meals and its fantastic value for money and you get loads, the plates are massive!!! The two for £9 are value for money, we had burger & chips and lasagne & chips and everything was home cooked. We returned next time we were in towyn and couldn't finish our plates when we had the carvery. Will definitely be returning!!!! Next door is the sports bar and drinks are reasonable and you can take them into the restaurant to enjoy a beer as well as fantastic food.

for £6, the sunday roast cant be beat for the price, all the ingrediants are top quality, and although simple food, everything is really nice and well presented, the staff cant do enough for you, you order your drinks from sunnys which is adjacent, also they will bring food into you in takeaway containers in sunnys bar if you dont want to lose your table in sunnys which is a really good family bar and is very popular at weekends during the day and night, and have kids karaoke on all day until 9pm then adults karaoke at weekends

Sean has done an amazing job in turning this place into a wannabe place to be its a LOT bigger bouncier and has much more in the way of entertainment e.g Discos karaoke artists deffo a place to check out whilst in towyn. See you in June Sean Top job mate! ;)

Good pub now a sports bar even better now season has closed as only £2 a pint lol so we go quite alot now and they have karaoke friday and saturday out of season and in season they have acts and karaoke and lots of sports on tvs.

We were expecting a help yourself carvery Instead a dish containing a few boiled potatoes and a dish containing carrots peas and soggy broccoli was put on the table The plate was brought to the table with 3 roast potatoes yorkshire pud and reheated meat Not my idea of a carvery No salt and pepper on table Given a few small packets of it

Me and my partner went in sunny's bar most nights whilst been on our holiday. Every night was amazing. Best karaoke, great entertainment, good service, friendly people. Got on well with Tony. Highly recommended. Can't praise here enough. They well and truly made our holiday. One to remember and cannot wait to go back.

Visiting towyn me and a sibling had a wander, might seem strange but we were the kids on the holiday and enjoy a British holiday once a year with our parents me at 30 my sister at 42,Having come across sunnys bar we popped in and we're more than pleasently surprised with what we were greeted with a bar with plush carpets friendly staff and great drinks prices, Seems like there as beeb some investment in the bar area

Does not cater for people with food allergies. 7 year old has wheat intolerance this cafe couldn't even offer her a jacket potato.

Visited about 3 weeks ago, waited to be seated where told just sit anywhere and il b right with you, 20 mins later and after they had taken the orders of 5 more tables that arrived after us, they finally remembered we existed and took the order. Food arrived after about 2 mins and wasn't very good, all over cooked and not much taste. And the smell in the place was discussing, the whole place smelt like gone off milk. The only positive was the lad that brought our food, he was very attentive and was trying his best, even though he was very busy.

We went here Saturday myself husband , son and two dogs for the price we paid I have to say it wS lovely , the owners niece herself served us she couldn't of been more helpfull and another member of staff bought fresh drinking water for the dogs , lovely food , outstanding customer service we will definatly visit again

Steak was a bit over cooked... Maybe not experienced cook.Presentation of the food was OK. Nice and hot.Sauce with steak was just the addition to take your mind off of the steak been over cooked.Overall for the three lunchtime meals costing over £20.. Defiantly would not go again.

Went in sunnys bar spare of the moment whilst walking past, the bar and restaurant needs to be modernised but food was lovely and the staff couldn't help you enough they were ded friendly the lady even helped us with our prams up and down the steps! Definitely recommend sunnys bar and restaurant

Took 1hr 15 mins for food, didn't take our order until 25 mins after arrival, asked for veg with food and it came with 'peas' steak was VERY fatty. Bad service, Not impressed.

We visited for the day a few weeks ago on a works trip. Towyn is a beautiful place, and we were attracted to the bar for the food prices. bingo was on, so my wife and her friend disappeared inside. Me and my friend sat outside, the only people outside, so I thought it was very quiet.Imagine my surprise when i went to the toilet, the pub was rammed with people playing bingo !!Last game, my wife won £40 so we all had a carvery for tea, and it was excellent, and very well served by a very nice waitress. highly recommended !

I had the sausage and mash an I didn't really enjoy it, the sausages were just chip shop sausages and the mash was just lumpy, it didn't come with any peas, I asked for a desert and she said there wasn't much choice as delivery haven't arrived yet, feel for the price I payed I didn't enjoy it very much
