I did not like it here. Walked in the bar area went to the back table and sat down. We noticed a strang smell. It put us off straight away. May be we were unlucky. There was other people eatting, but not many.

Over the years we have called in this hotel for drinks. We have never eaten there before. This time a group of nine of us had lunch. All of us enjoyed our choices from a very extensive menu. A particular attracdtion of this place is the wide vegetarian choice. Of the nine three were vegetarian and all had different meals. There is a possible downside in that there is background musice which can make conversation for people with hearing difficulties impossible. When requested the friendly and helpful staff turned it off. An improvement though would be if they sold the excellent local lage instead of one of the three eurofizzes on sale

Staff were friendly and helpfull, but the food was overcooked and dry. From the pork ribs which were extremly dry, to a rock hard naan bread.

A lovely looking hotel inside and out. Very clean and staff friendly. Popped in for a drink whilst waiting for our Indian takeaway.

Stopped of for lunch with 14 friends, even though we were nearly an hour late, still welcomed us with a smile. Food good and service great.

This Pub is a warm and friendly place for a drink. We are lucky enough to be entertained at times by some local singers. A must at the weekends

waitresses were useless busybodies plenty of tables free, noone there to seat you so after we settled in on our own one of them got all uppity about it - if they were there in the 1st place doing her job that hassle would not have happened - we just left and will not return - same happened to friends of ours too

You must go here as it is a little out of the way, yet really nice food with nice attentive, helpful staff. Go along Station Road to get to it, or cross the bridge from the railway station.

4 out of 6 self serve machines broken. Terrible queue! Not up to standard. Someone should take orders manually. Expect better.

Layout again was a problem just like the zoo itself for people in wheelchairs due to Buggies and layout of tables etc. Hot food was limited menu a little pricey. My personal opinion maybe have somewhere for buggy's to go outside . And re think inside furniture layout

Visiting Brown's bar and grill every weekend is the highlight of our week. My husband and I always have food here. The freshly battered fish, chips and mushy peas are great. The carvery on Sunday is the best I've ever had. I really just wished there were more choice for desserts. The management and their staff are so friendly and welcoming. Keep up the great work you do as we do appreciate it.
