The team was courteous, there was always a smile on their faces. However, the environment and cutlery didn't look clean. The food was horrendous. Green curry chicken had no flavour at all and the chicken didn't look fresh. Pad Thai was way too oily. Tom Yam soup had no spice. Coconut drinks were extremely diluted. Might be OK for tourists or westerners who hadn't tried Thai food before, but definitely they were not what authentic Thai food should taste like.

Gearing up for our final visit to Suchard's before it closes for good at the end of March. This is a gem of a local restaurant, reliably good food, relaxed and unpretentious, friendly service and brilliant vegetatian options. Coming here is like putting on a favourite pair of slippers. It was our first post-lockdown meal out when things started to reopen in 2020 as we missed it so much, so I don't know how we're going to cope when it goes for good. The som tum, gaprow, nasi goreng, pad kee moa and jungle curry and particular favourite dishes, but honestly I've never ordered anything from the menu that wasn't delcicious. Thank you to Suchard and the team for all the wonderful meals and we wish you a long, happy and well-deserved retirement!

I really enjoyed the food here. Almost all dishes are available with a choice of vegetables, tofu or meat so there are loads of veg options. As always with Thai restaurants, it's worth checking whether they contain fish or oyster sauce. Our food was delicious and portions were generous. Prices were very reasonable for central London and service was friendly.

The chicken satay was very good but the Gang Kiev Wan chicken curry was basically a few bits of chicken and broccoli in spicy water. Quite underwhelming. At £22 via Deliveroo it was also heavily overpriced.

A nice small restaurant - extensive menu - expected dishes. Rapid service and food preparation. Fish cakes tasted ok and well presented but almost elastic in texture had to be cut as too stretchy to bite. Main course pork grapow really tasty sauce (spicy) but asked for pork belly and got thinly sliced less tasty pork loin. With one beer over £25 just felt a lot for what was pleasant food but as a result not great value for money. It’s in a good location and nice staff so would go again.

Recently visited on 07/03/20. Located a couple of minutes walk from London Bridge Station so ideal. The décor could probably do with a touch up as looked dated and ornaments within the bar area looked rather tacky. The staff were friendly & drinks were served promptly. Service was very good. The Thai Fish Cakes were lovely and the sweet Chilli dip a great accompaniment. My main course was hot & spicy chicken dish served with Jasmine rice. Very tasty. My girlfriend ordered the Honey chicken but was underwhelmed as the chicken was served as on the bone and was pretty dry. Bad ordering on her part. Overall good visit and would come again.

Decisamente raccomandato!

my partner and i went with another couple and we were actually queueing for another restaurant and decided to see what else we could find, we love thai food so thought we'd try Suchard as there was a table free. The menu is the same as most thai restaurants, lots of choice and variations. We got a lot of food but it was all DELICIOUS. (Our friends recently got back from thailand and said the food was very similar to what they had out there in terms of flavours.) Best Massaman we've ever had, would highly recommend, best coconut rice, best prawn pad thai. lovely, lovely place. great value in the end considering the amount of food and drink we got. will be going again!

I went here for lunch yesterday. I work nearby and It was my first visit. I got here around noon and was the first in. However, within 15 minutes the place was pretty full. The staff were lovely: water was immediately brought to the table and no pressure to buy extra drinks. The water was refilled regularly too without me having to ask or wait. The food was probably the best Thai food I’ve had. I went for the Tom yum with mushroom and tofu, extra spicy. It was really good with a good spice. I then had the Jungle curry with fried rice with an egg on top. It was simply delicious. Despite the business, it was served quickly and the staff, though busy, were friendly, cheerful and attentive. Total bill, including service £19.05. I was in and out in 45 minutes (I felt welcome to stay longer but as it was lunchtime it was a good length of time for me.) I’ll be back. Thank you.

Pues no literalmente! ! ! !

Nice little Thai restaurant near London Bridge. The food is sometimes hit n miss but mostly good. Service is very fast as the place gets busy so it's the kinda place they don't want you to stay for ages. Staff constantly patrolling up and down once you've finished whoosh your plate is taken away, so don't expect to be feel relaxed. My first first time the ribs starter was delicious, last time they were chewy. The go to dish is the chicken mossamun which is delicious. Go careful with the Jungle Curry as it's damn hot. If I worked nearby I'd probably pop here for lunch every few weeks. Pretty good food, super fast service.

I rarely leave bad reviews and feel very bad for doing this, however I feel like the place has so much potential and want to write this for feed back not just to complain. I went here for an evening meal after work with my boyfriend last week. Everything was really promising - the restaurant is cosy and authentic, and it was very busy which suggested it must be good. The waiter we had initially was polite and friendly, helping with requirements we had (and helping to earn the two stars). We opted for the veggie set meal for £19 each; we thought this was a bit pricey but the food looked good and we were willing to pay. For starter was a platter, which on the menu was made up of four different things and sounded delicious. When it came we were so disappointed! It was basically just different vegetables (broccoli, cauliflower, onion, mushrooms, carrot and tofu) all deep fried in the same way and greasy! The food for main was even worse - all of the vegetables were raw and the sauces were watery and flavorless. I had ordered a broccoli and mushroom dish for my main - the 'broccoli' was like long raw stems, not the usual type, and the mushrooms tasted like they were tinned. There were no Thai flavors, and it tasted more like a very bad Chinese takeaway. We gave the set menu desert a miss as we had just been so disappointed so far. When I politely told the waitress that all the veg was raw and uncooked, she just shrugged it off. Our bill came to £25 each which is just so expensive for what we got. To summarise, we won't be going back unfortunately but I do hope that they take the feedback on board.

Wanting a Thai meal and in the area with a friend so I searched possibilities and chose this restaurant based on the google and Trip Advisor opening hours (photos attached) as there were no details on the Suchard website. On arrival we were advised we had to hurry as they were closing at 3pm. While choosing our order we were told by the waitress standing over us to make a choice immediately as the kitchen was closing and we had to be out in just over 30 minutes. If you are going to be abrupt and rude to GUESTS in your restaurant then organise your marketing to be accurate. Rude staff and inaccurate information. Plenty of other good restaurants in the area which we luckily went on to find.

Went to meet a friend and talk through some business ideas - For my starter : food was all up the wall (our table was against the wall....so pieces of food stuck to the wall etc - not good from previous diners !) Had chicken curry - chicken was tasteless and I suspect precooked and thrown into the source just before serving.....the restaurant was packed as it was a friday lunch etc ....like other reviewers I would not go back - its a poor example IMO of Thai cafe style cooking in London - you get better in a pub Thai - its been there a long time So maybe I had a bad experience but the prices were not that attractive either and a supermarket Thai pre - prepared meal would have been better and cheaper eg its was over £ 10 for a small bowl of tasteless Thai Curry (chicken and egg fried rice which you have to pay a £ 1/50 supplement for - with no visible egg ! ) - given my experience I dont know how they have survived so long !

Found this place on Trip Advisor, so decided to try it. Was a little concerned walking down Tooley St on a Saturday night when just about every other restaurant was closed. Thankfully Suchard wasn't and we got a table straight away without having booked. It's a cosy little place, which means you can be closer to other diners than in other places. I think that just adds to the atmosphere, though.Service was good, not too fussy but attentive enough. Portions were a good size, can highly recommend the Crispy Sea Bass Choo Chee. Was a large portion, very flavourful and not too spicy.Paid £65 for two people, starter and main and bottle of wine, which I thought was pretty good for London.Would go again in a heartbeat!

What a lovely find in central London among all the high street chains! This is a great family-run restaurant with authentic Thai recipes in a no frills environment. Service is friendly and attentive. Prices are very reasonable for central London with a nice sized portion. I've had the pad thai on several occassions and it has always been great.

I live around the corner from this restaurant and go very often, either getting takeaways or sit down to eat and I love it. They serve a good size portion of food, enough that you don't feel like you can eat more! I often get the Gang Panang Curry with sticky rice, which I really recommend if you like Thai curries as you won't regret your choice.Great atmosphere, cute little place and great location.

The restaurant is conveniently located on a popular street, minutes walk from London Bridge Station. The seating is cramped but there are quite a few seating available across the two floors. The decor is a bit dull and the lighting isn't great. The restaurant itself has a wide range of food for different dietary requirements. I had the rice with tofu and vegetables and tofu starters. The flavour was good and portion sizes average. Staff weren't overly friendly but the service was fast. We spent £22 each for a starter, main and a glass of proseco. Overall not bad dining experience but nothing special. The main perk was the location.

This Resturant is situated in one of the busiest street in London , so it will never lose his business unfortunately .The owner I guess is so stress by paying rent and expenses that he feed customers like feeding pork .This is what I felt .I actually had I kind of nice mix of 3 starter that had been served all on the same plate , even if was fish and vegetables dishes.By the way we didn't mind , plate was good looking , taste of veggie tempura was very good , prawns so and so , the calamari tempura ........ well straight from the freezeer into the oil .The main was a fantastic fried noodle with prawn in a mushroom soya sauce...what a name , what a dish , spend more time to understand what you gonna eat than eat itself.... well it didn't happen .We had been served a noddles on a spice normal soya sauce with chicken .Send it back , get it back , send it back .Well the owner was upset it should retired , because with the money he must had took from the pocket of people that had been served this kind of food.Anyway I won't judge any plate a part of the one i had that was terrific .Good luck The doctor Thompson is not in

The restaurant can feel a little overcrowded when busy as the tables are so close together but the food is excellent. Reasonably priced for eating on the premises but a bit expensive for a take-away. The staff are very attentive and friendly and I would recommend a visit.

This is a Thai Restaurant. It has all the hallmarks of a family run business. The food is generally great and reasonably priced. The service is not 5* but if you are looking for a cosy restaurant to have a decent meal, it is an ideal place. The toilet could do with some upgrading to achieve the city standards. The place is quite small and tables are packed such that room for manourve is very limited.

This restaurant is conveniently located, a short walk from London Bridge. It has a varied menu, full of choice. The portions are a fine size - satisfying - and the food was flavoursome. Service was both efficient and warm. Bathroom was clean. The one drawback is that the tables are VERY close together - it's a very intimate experience just not necessarily with the person you came with!

Visiting London for the weekend and after a long day sightseeing we decided to head back into the area we were staying in and find a place to eat. We had no idea what cuisine we wanted and coming across The Suchard went in to find they had a table available and they took our order.Their menu had all the usual thai curry’s etc. but on this occasion I went for a stir fried dish and my partner for chicken and noodles, the food was superb! amongst some of the best Thai I have eaten. This restaurant is not posh and its fairly basic but it spacious and clean and we got a great meal in central London at a very reasonable price. The service was good too.

Had a really excellent meal on Saturday night - one of the best Thai meals we have tasted. The green curry was so good!! The owner was great - really explained our food, how it was cooked and how to make the perfect coconut rice. A real gem of a restaurant that we will definitely visit again. Good value. Good service. Good food. Everything you want for an excellent meal.

Visited this restaurant with a group of friends on a Thursday evening. Booking through the website has hassle free, sent the request via the form and had a confirmation email around twenty minutes later. On arrival we were seated by the door . It was a very windy evening and the wind blasted us anytime the door opened . We requested to be moved and the manager moved us promptly up to the front of the restaurant . He was very pleasant and friendly . Found the service staff nice and helpful, they didn't make a fuss . Food was really good I have to say , I eat quite a lot of Thai and I rate this food highly . We had the Imperial platter to start , sharing amongst the four of us. Plenty of food to go round and a great selection . All cooked really well. For mains I had the yellow chicken curry with potatoes and onions in it. Really well cooked and fresh ingredients . All of the table were really happy with their mains . The spice ratings tasted exactly as given on the menu .Desserts were not exactly traditional Thai , there were a couple on the menu . But were lovely all the same. I had the chocolate soufflé .Would recommend this place . Great for after work eats with friends

I found a hair in my food. When i took the food back, the staff were not apologetic, didn't want to help me, they've been very rude to me. Told me to talk to the owner next door, didn't want to call him or take me there. When i asked how the owner looks like, they told me "the owner looks like human". The owner wasn't very helpful either. Could not understand why i was upset. In the end he made food for me, but after long conversation and a lot of explanation. Didn't believed that there was a hair in my food, was laughing. I will never go there again, and none of my family members, friends or colleagues either. Terrible experience

We roamed around for a while, asked people here and there but we couldn't find it and it is for sure not at the place shown on the map. Or it is very well hidden, or it doesn't exist anymore.

My go-to pub in South London. 5 stars not because it’s perfect, but because it usually has a much better than average cider selection, offers a range of reasonably priced food deals on burgers and such, and is a great place to chill.

There is a dining room, a bar and a lovely outside patio. Too cold for that for us tonight, but the dining room is really lovely. Nicely decorated and comfortable. The food and service were outstanding. Each dish was well prepared and had its own flavors and taste. No one size fits all sauces, etc. This is very high quality Thai food in a very nice location.
