my order was cancelled, but my payment wasn’t. not much else to say, is there?

Left out one of the main dishes, the quality of the other items that were delivered was okay..

1. I received the wrong order. 2. They accused me of lying when I complained. 3. When I proved it they didn’t offer me anything to say sorry. 4. I asked for recompense 5. They offered half off then never did it 6. I complained and then only gave me £6 instead. Never ever using them again and will discourage everyone I know from using them.

they waited the whole hour delivery time to then call me to abruptly say I wasn't getting my order as they were busy JOKE!!

Food arrived extremely late and when it arrived the food was cold. Very disappointed as my past experiences have been good. To top it all, my order was missing an item! The restaurant offered some free dishes with our next order as a gesture of goodwill, so hopefully things will be better next time!

I order my food at 7.30pm did not recive till9.36pm also was cold and very taste less i would not recomend

disgusting plate of grease and gristle threw it in the bin and spent more money going back to the shapla. i will never order again

I ordered food from this restaurant almost 3 years. The last order was really unacceptable! My 2 naan breads were missing and the one which arrived was cold, the lamb in lamb tikka jalfrezi was half cooked, the containers with curry was squashed so all the sauce was in the bag instead in the box! the delivery man came with silly attitude and he was rude. I have noticed many changes in the service from this restaurant- it’s really poor now. My husband spoke to the person from Balti Spice - he sent them the pictures of our order - obviously no answer, no refund, no replacement. completely ignore us! because of this I decided to report about uncooked meat to Food Standard Agency and local Council. AVOID THIS RESTAURANT!!!!!

Had to wait over 2 hours for food and when it came items were missing and food was COLD. Will not be ordering from this shop again!!!

I've eaten many good meals from Balti Spice Club over the years but of late the service has become unacceptable. I know weekends are busy but if you are going to adjust the time by 30 minutes after the order has been placed and then be a further 30 minutes late on top for a total of 2 hours, that's just too much. The restaurant needs more staff or to turn down orders it can't fulfil in timely fashion.

The food from Balti Spice is always enjoyed in this house, however, I was highly disappointed with the fact that this order was so late. Food was edible and enjoyed but did lose the heat quite soon after delivery. I will be ordering again.

My order hasn't even arrived yet and already I'm disappointed and know I won't be ordering from here again! The order was first set at delivery time 19:30, then 20 minutes were added on, now it's almost half an hour and I'm still waiting! Definitely won't be ordering again and won't be suggesting this place to anyone.

They added 30 minutes to our order which we expected but then it arrived an additional 40 minutes late. The food was cold so we had to then spend more time warming it all up. Food is average and greasy but edible. I don’t recommend it.

Worth the wait... probably the best tikka i’ve had in a long time. I didn’t see pomadoms on the menu though that would have been good.

Regular customer, 30mins added to delivery time and they were 30mins late on top...total 2 hours for food to arrive and it was missing the ordered mint sauce! They said it was because they were busy, if your too busy to deliver an acceptable service dont accept my order in the first place. Time to find another regular indian takeaway

You lot are the best Indian takeaway in forest hill, never disappointed me at all fast delivery and I had a huge family over and ordered from you guys, everyone enjoyed their meals so thank you for that

The food may have been nice when it was hot but not when it was an hour and 45mins late. I’m presuming the items I didn’t receive were also possibly nice when they were hot, wherever they are.... not happy.

Last time we will order from here. used to be so good. last 2 deliveries have been missing items. Latest delivery missing a main course, was delivered, but seemingly from a different source. virtually inedible and was thrown away. Apparently they are no longer based in Forest Hill but in Bermondsey according to their manager.

After food was ordered they said it was going to be an hour and 15 mins for delivery which was annoying anyway but the food didnt turn up for TWO HOURS!! I called the restaurant twice and they never apologised and didnt really seem to have a clue what was happening. The food was stone cold when it came so i put it in the oven but when i tucked in i was extremely disappointed - the lamb in the rogan josh was incredibly fatty and there were more tomatoes than lamb (fat) in the sauce, the chicken in the butter chicken was dry and the naan was burnt but soggy where it had obviously been sitting in the bag for ages. So disappointed with the meal and strongly advise not to order from this restaurant. Wish i could give 0 stars!

We placed an order at 18:13. Delivery time was confirmed as 19:30. At 19:50 when no food had arrived we called the restaurant. We were told that the food was out for delivery and that it was late due to “heavy traffic” (heavy traffic on a Sunday night in Nunhead when the restaurant is just over a mile away seems unlikely) and that it would be with us soon. 30 minutes later it finally arrived. Zero apology from the driver despite that it took the order over 2 hours from placement to delivery. Upon setting out the food we then discovered it was warm at best, luke warm was the majority. Very disappointed!

I usually do not write reviews but just have to say when it comes to indian food this is the place that makes my day! Good quality food as always, the best Indian food around in forest hill! The staff are so friendly and kind and the delivery driver was really kind to! I would highly recommend to try them out.

The portions were tiny, hardly any chicken or lamb in the mains & the chicken was burnt! Ordered meat samosas & they gave vegetarian. Was too fed up to call again. Very disappointed and terrible service.

This is our first choice curry place. The food is absolutely sensational, especially the dansak. Also really pleased that these guys are always willing to cook to order. They had a bit of trouble finding our flat on this occasion which was a bit weird, but all sorted in the end and we still ended up getting our food early! Great place.

food was barely warm and very greasy. An extra 25 mins was added to my delivery time and it was still 30 mins late on top of that. Very disappointed with the portions as well, both the masala and bhuna looked only half full when I opened them. Won't order from here again.

Aubergine instead of okra, nann bread was missing, the pakoras were simply just not pakoras. I'm a regular customer but not happy this time.

After long time I ordered again from this take away. Food arrived before time. Delicious food like always.

Great experience with these guys - the food came 15 minutes early, the delivery guy was very friendly, and the food was excellent as always. This is definitely our favourite local Indian takeaway. I particularly recommend the chicken tikka balti, which is mouth-wateringly good. I just wish this place hadn't moved! It used to be just down the road from us but we saw it had closed down and moved elsewhere and were devastated!! The food has remained great though.

Amazing food. First time ordering from Balti Spice club and I would say it is the best Indian takeaway I have had. Didn't break the bank either and was delivered at the exact time stated. I will 100% be ordering from here again.

Average food. The paneer was the grand total of four pieces and appeared to be almond flavour. The poppadoms were stale

Good food tasted lovely but I ordered a garlic naan but recieved a plain one so not too happy with that but overall very nice

The food was delicious. This is possibly my favourite local takeaway. It had so much flavour and the meat was cooked perfectly. I had the mixed meat tandoori Balti and there was such a beautiful tangy taste to it. I'd definitely have it again.

Good value and great food. Often restaurants skimp on the their set meals, but the 'Set Meal for Two' was real quality - great curry, great rice. Naans were good too. Recommended.

Ordered chicken jeera curry - said it was topped with crunchy straws of potato. We opened the box and it was just some curried chicken with chips on top. Very misleading description! Rest of it was okay.

I've been ordering from Balti Spice Club for over ten years. Their food is delicious and really authentic. It's owned and run by a family that really cares and that shows. Nothing is too much trouble for them and they've never let me down. Their prices are also pretty competitive versus some of the take-aways in the area. I could not recommend them more.

Very nice food, delivery was quick. Especially liked the tandoori kebab stuff.

Really enjoyable meal and they were very kind to add paneer to one of the dishes at my request. The currys were tasty.

First time trying Balti Spice Club and so far, the food has been delicious. Particularly the lamb vindaloo and the prawn biryani were packed with flavour which was lovely. My only criticism would be that the lamb chop starter and the tandoori wings were slightly saltier than expected, but other than that, the food was very good. Would definitely come back again soon.

Food was amazing, loads I'd flavour came hot. Even got a free dish to taste and was really yummy and I'm a fusy eater. Delivery guy got a bit lost but rang me straight away was really polite and even apologised for being 5 mins late. Clearly a very well runt place. It's such a pleasure to have a nice delivery guy. Food was very bad cheap Indian but wasn't worth the price, prawns poorly over seasoned uneatable one was eaten tasted so bad I couldn't finish it so it and the rest went straight in the bin!
