Subway in Trafford

Missing items, sandwiches wrong...what is the point of 'creating your own' when your requests are ignored? Is it really that difficult to follow a list?!

Matt was rude on multiple occasions and he put olives on my 12 inch teriyaki sub in a pattern of a phallic shaped object and winked at me.

Shop was nice and clean and the staff who served me was very nice. Her name was Alexandra and she was the nicest employee I have ever talked to. Definitely makes me want to come this subway more often.

Not bad but bit disappointed comparing to other store

Food came with hair in it and didn’t even apologise. Miserable staff. Unhappy to help, lack of approachability and bad customer service. This is the Worst subway I’ve ever been too.

Didn’t serve me 5 minutes before closure, whereas the ESSO subway always serve even if closing time is close. Be more like ESSO!

They don't know the sandwiches they sell or how to make a good sandwich. The pesto pani looks like it's been ran over and the hot chocolate tasted of water

They didn’t allow me to redeem points and provided very poor customer service that did not subject to terms and conditions

I'm from the US & this Subway is the best I've ever eaten at , the ones back home aren't as good , the staff have been real nice to me here at the one in Mannchester , MATT is the best , I have joint damage in both hands & MATT has always helped me get the lids off my drinks , he;s even ask to help without me asking , Thank You Matt

I have never had worse customer service than I have from your manager Matt in the restaurant today. I am heavily pregnant, it is 30 degree heat outside and despite it being almost 14:30 I hadn't yet eaten. Therefore I attended the store and ordered my food, when going to pay the 2 cards i used kept getting decline despite the money being in there. The store tried 6-7 times contactless, then 2 times chip and pin, Matt told me that without apologising that the store was having internet issues, that there was nothing they could do, it wasn't his fault, that I would have to walk to a cash point and back to get the cash. I asked to wait whilst they checked if it was working for other customers and he said it was clearly an internet issue and i needed to get the money. I queried why the payments looked like they had gone through on both my cards, he said that banks automatically do that and it should be returned, and if it is not the onus is on me to contact the bank to get this sorted. I told Matt that I thought this was poor customer service and that I would get the money, he then remonstrated with me for 5 minutes in the middle of the store saying "i don't know how this isnpoor service, it's an internet issue, it the internet broke in your house that wouldn't be your fault would it" he said this repeatedly, despite me twice telling him that I needed to go to get the money as I was starving. Truly shocking customer service. Suffice to say my food was cold by the time i finally ate it.

I ordered a sub from here. Unfortunately, ended up with too much sauce all leaking through. The old chap, who served me has a bit of a funny attitude. Didn't like the customer service. Food was nice.

If you've ever been to a Subway then you know what to expect. The decor is outdated but granted that's not the staff's fault. Consistent ingredient quality as you would expect, most of the staff are really nice and helpful but like any subway, the quality of your sandwich depends on who's making it. Overall good and reliable.

Set on the main road through Altrincham Town centre, we decided to try this branch at my brother's behest. The service was very good and professional. However they did not have the meatless meatball marinara or the veggie chicken. That said we were happy with what was available.

Usual sandwiches (subs) plus drinks at the time I was their it was nor to busy

I love the manager here, he always makes me smile everytime I come he seems very friendly. Always get great fast service and have never been disappointed with the food.

Staff are lazy and dont check orders properly got food for everyone and only put the things we didn't ask for on them next time ill go in to the back myself and make my own.

Still outdated decor and the food wasn't at tasty that time. It's needs a little bit more flavour. At least the prices and cookies were still great

A happy experience with very pleasant staff with his humour and customer service skills as well as preparation I wouldn't have said that about it a couple of years ago.

Coffee machine not filled up with milk as no demand at tea time.

Standard subway, nothing more nothing less

The man who had been on Stamford road subway for a long period is always very rude. He seems very unhappy with is job. He is not willing to clarify customer queries and makes rude remarks. We love subway and only in this store I have come across the rude attitude. terrible service by this man needs attention.

The parking spaces are always full.

Sell vegan and vegetarian options but manager said could not guarantee meat and other fillings were not being cross contaminated - disgrace, what's the point, don't advertise vegan/vegetarian options then. Note I liked his honesty even though one of the other staff members was pushy and rushy and just rude. The issue of contamination might apply to all Subways so be warned or ask your local branch. Honestly how hard can it be.

If you want to wait 20-30 mins for a sandwich to be made then come to this establishment. Staff are poor and prices are obscene.

The Best Subway in Manchester Lovely Staff

Very decent service, friendly staff. Nice food and clean place for a sit down.

Very nice place,a long time since we visited Altrincham,on our way to north wales we called for a excellent subway and a very intelligent conversation with the manager (for the day) inbetween the team being Very busy,lovely area and will def call again.

Got in just before the lunchtime rush from the local Grammar schools. Glad we did, great sandwiches, meatfeast and chicken tikka. Will be back.

Last 2 times not been impressed. Small portion and poorly presented Nachos at first visit and didnt cut foot long in half last visit. Other Subways better.

Usual subway food not a lot else to say

The good thing about Subway is the consistency wherever you go. The downside is it becomes much of the same whichever Subway you use. The Altrincham Subway is a nice enough place, with plenty of room to eat inside, service is pleasant enough, with the usual Subway efficiency.

Rude. Unhelpful. Used a "meat" knife for a meatless sub and then when this was pointed out they said "oh no you noticed". Had to leave empty handed after waiting for around 20 minutes.

Just awful. Went in for a 99p Garlic bread, the lady made it with 2 slices and when the male manager noticed he took one and threw it in the bin, with homeless people outside this is pretty disgraceful. Give it to the hungry or even a staff member but don't waste food.

Great sandwiches but there hot beverages are atrocious.

Was on a break from work, went in to get a quick snack. Was seen by one member of staff behind the counter, as I entered.. He carried on doing paperwork, he then shouted for the staff member in the back to come and serve me, she ignored him and carried on with whatever she was doing.. He turned back and carried on writing... I stood there for a few minutes like an idiot... Before deciding that I wasn't getting served anytime soon and left... Fantastic customer service guys. Can't really say what the sandwich was like.. Cos I never got chance to order one..

What a joke, staff so disorganized! Stood waiting to be served for 25 minutes because they couldn't manage the orders coming in from just eat. If you cant manage the order volume take yourself off just eat until you catch up! Having people standing around waiting to be served for almost half an hour is beyond terrible. Complete lack or organisation, huge wait, terrible experience.

This venue was clean and tidy. Some of the sub bread options were not available unfortunately, but the sub itself was hot and delicious.

Excellent, wide range of fillings and most importantly the staff were very pleasant and helpful. They even cater for vegetarians!

Customer service was atrocious. The sandwich maker Matt was so rude to us. When we asked for extra cheese, he said, I wouldn't eat that! It's got enough cheese as it is. He said this in front of a question of people behind us. Me and my partner never felt so humiliated and embarrassed. The food was nice. But the service was horrible. Would not eat again. The sandwich makers dont care at all. They look like they cant be asked. The guy called Matt was shouting and rude.

Oh dear. This Subway not very good. I went in at 7.15 am. A man in his 30's was on his own but there wasn't any other customers there. I don't think he had quite woken up. Didn't say good morning or anything. Just grunted what bread and filling I would like After a lot of huffing and puffing my order came. I would say the sausage sandwich was just average and my partner couldn't finish his as it wasn't very warm. The premises was clean and well stocked - it should be at that time of morning. I would have expected a lot better from Subway as I have been to some good ones where they actually smile even when busy!!

The food is largely prepared, so it's had to go wrong. The service is poor. I have been twice recently to be greeted by "What do you want, pal?" and, on the second occasion: "Yes?"Unlikely to go back but it would stop me visiting Subways in other towns.

Interesting selection of different subs...you can decide what you want on and select a range of sauces, to lettuce or no lettuce, loved the idea

Nice please just off the street and you really cannot miss it with the large sign. You can see in with all glass windows and it very easy to see how busy it is. The staff are very nice and hard working. The table could be a little clear but that is my only problem.

Efficient, friendly, not to mention delicious. Points system is effective and worth the purchase. The change to the nacho preparation however is unwelcome and sacrifices quality.

one of the workers at subway is Martin. he is a down to earth guy. he is great at what he dose. he is so easy to talk and will always check that you are alright and well. He is efficient, kind and caring. He is kind and welcoming to the customers. he is one of the kindest people i know and i hope that he gets a high role in Subway Altrincham.

The food was good but I couldn’t stand the rudeness of the workers. The manager was shouting at the employers constantly, moaning about giving them too much bacon. When it came to my sub, they upped the price from £3.99 to £4.99. I asked why and they wouldn’t give me an answer.

I have been to this subway before and it hasn't been too bad, on this occasion the staff were short and not as customer focused as I would expect. The staff were not rude but not far off when my daughters were trying to order there food, the member of staff had no patience at all and left my 8 and 10 year feeling a little in intimidated by the manner in which they were spoken to. We had no issue with the food at all.

The shop was quiet busy when I went to grab a sandwich on my lunch. ‘Mark’ I believe his name badge said on it (seemed to be manager/supervisor) spoke disgustingly to his member of staff who was clearly learning and only a teenager. There was no need for this and I felt truly embarrassed for the boy. He could of just pulled him to one side after his shift instead of shouting at him repeatedly for putting ‘too much’ on the sandwiches. Disgusting and shame full behaviour to speak to someone like that. How do you expect someone to learn with a manager like that. Will not be visiting the shop again.

Over priced... IMO as well they wasn't stocked at all. When I went it was mid day and they basically ran out of bread: days ago and haven't stocked...

not been here for a long time,but always provided an excellent and fast service.the food was always very good.the place is kept clean and is on Stamford New Road close to the shops and Altrincham interchange.

1 staff member on duty on this day snd furthermore to deal with a busy period time of the day is ridiculous, however our server was calm efficient and the quality was not comprised in anyway. very friendly and good service!!!

Visited here on Friday like I do every 2 weeks as it’s next door to where my son gets his haircut !! Staff and manager changeover as normally served by nice guys !! It was busy but not enough staff on .. I had a voucher he wouldn’t allow me to use but I have use it the past 3 times I’ve been in .. so no consistency.. accused me a 46 year old professional woman of lying . Really for a £3.50 sub I don’t think so !! The sandwich was burnt on the ends and dry .. I will never return again and the manager with grey hair you are very unprofessional talking to your staff with no respect in front of customers.. they are kids they are learning have patience!!!

Great service, we had a voucher for 6:99 for 2 6 inch meal deals, down side due to sugar tax we where unable to buy normal coke only diet :(

Fresh salad, they also making cookies onsite. Seems to be like a very good place for getting fresh stuff. And with those sub of the day you stay on budget.

Really pleasant staff in the Altrincham shop.

Subs are fine but the nachos are like mush. They just microwave them so I won't be getting them again. This perticular store did not have a working card machine so I had no choice but to pay in cash. A big franchise like this should not be cash only but this issue is most likely fixed now anyway.

Matthew and his team know how to handle the lunch time rush and keep a steady pace. Ingredients are always fresh and they do not skimp on portion's unlike some other branches. As far as subway franchise go this is my favorite branch by far. Its a shame about the current view out of the window while they did up the main street in Altrincham but still the window views are great to sit and view the world go by.

Staff very polite and this subway put a good amout of meat on your subway, so you get your money's worth
