The old lady that runs this place is absolutely awful. Her attitude is beyond terrible. Shouting at people in the queue, shouting at staff members, just terrible. Not quite sure why she does the job if she hates everyone so much. She should spend more time ordering food so she isn't continuously running out of items

I entered the store and there was a large queue (as expected it was lunchtime) the team were clearly working very hard. As I got closer to the counter there were 2 guys working well and pleasantly through the queue, to then be loudly and dramatically shushed away by the female staff member which took me by surprised. She then stepped in again which was not necessary and shouted at me 'what can I get you' to which I replied with my order. Then asked me to move on I didn't finish my order. she was very rude to the 2 guys behind the counter openly in front of everyone, really necessary. It was busy and she was making it very awkward, everyone in the queue was looking at each other. I will not come to this subway again and I feel sorry for those poor guys behind the counter. I wanted 3 other things but the attitude and atmosphere and being rushed just made me say no to all my add-ons my meal deals and cookies etc so its your loss. I really wanted to say something to her but thought it might make things worse.

Firstly, the photo for this store is incorrect, this Subway is in the service station between Porthcawl and South Cornelly and the photo uploaded is from the store in Porthcawl. I visit this Subway regularly and have had mixed experiences. Mainly with the speed of service. They always seem understaffed at busy times like at lunchtime so the orders go through very slowly and the queue builds up. For people who work close by, like myself, this can be a problem as I have a time limit on my lunch break. I also notice a constant shortage on particular options... I'm not sure whether it's a coincidence for the times I visit but I do notice the frequency of the low stock. No fault in the staff however as they always seem helpful and friendly. I feel maybe there needs to be more staff on shift so they are not stressed and given more praise to keep their spirits up.

Worst subway I have ever been to. Waiting over 30 minutes in the Que when there were 3 members of staff on standing there just watching. Then when we finally got served the young girl decided to give the bread away to people that had ordered from just eat when I clearly asked for it. She grabbed them and went I’m having them to her college. (The owners daughter)

We live locally and have visited here quite regularly. Firstly this is no reflection on the staff who are always pleasant and helpful and have gone out of their way to help disabled visitors when I have been in there, but the reason for the poor rating is that by 6pm most nights they have run out of the most popular fillings. If you visit, you will normally hear: "We've run out of Meatballs' (they are frozen, so just open a fresh bag!) "Is it ok to give you chilli cheese, we've run out of normal?" (err no it isn't ok, open another pack!) "Sorry - we haven' t got any of that bread left.." You get the picture. It's never only one thing and it's every time we visit, I have yet to go there and not found stuff off the menu. Meatballs are very rarely on it. If this were a one off, then that would be fine, but it is literally every single time we go to visit (at least once a month), so we've literally stopped bothering to go there. Either they are a Subway or they aren't. Fed up of being disappointed. Haven't been since October and won't be going again any time soon, may as well drive to Port Talbot where everything is in stock.

We visited the store yesterday. I have a bad back and my husband had to go home for his wallet which meant I was there for ages. The young lady took my order and was really kind while I waited. Then when my husband came back, a young man with Downs Syndrome came in with his Dad. The patient young lady spoke to the man directly, not just his Dad, and made sure he felt welcome. It is what should happen everywhere, but so often doesn’t. Our food was good too, w3 will definitely be back. Thank you for restoring my faith in customer service.

Called in for a Breakfast MegaMelt at 10:55. Advert says breakfasts served until 11am so knew we were cutting it fine but still expected a civil reception rather than "Too late" and when we pointed out that it was not yet 11am "well we have run out od bacon and egg anyway!". Needless to say Greggs got our business. Normally we cannot fault the service in Subway but this guy certainly needed some lessons on customer service!

Absolutely shocking , gave burger back twice and chips they were cold , felt like they just come out of fridge , asked to speak to manager so I could get refund , and was refused so ordered a chicken royale instead and that wasn't cooked right , 4hrs later I started vomiting with stomach cramps . I will be writing to head office regarding it. STAY CLEAR !!

Called here a few days ago for chips in the afternoon, as I queued up I noticed there weren't any social distancing sticker warnings, hand sanitizer or anything. The 2 people who were serving weren't even wearing masks but people who were in there used their common sence thank god. Waited for chips to be cooked when blonde woman who was serving went by the door not even outside and lit a cigarette up, all the smoke was coming in and people were coughing. I thought I'd wait to see if she'd go outside to finish but no she just stayed in the door puffing away. So I waited further to see if she washed her hands after her ciggie and and pulling the knickers from her arse and guess what?? She went straight behind the counter and started serving again!!! Totally disgusted I looked at her and walked straight out. Never again, I gave them the benefit of doubt last time but no way am I stepping foot in there again. How they have a 5 hygiene rating is beyond me.
