Got to The Lowry early this morning and as all the shops were not open thought we’d go and get something to eat. Went to Subway, staff ignored us for 5 minutes, then we felt we were a hindrance rather than a customer. Wish we’d waited for one of the other restaurants to open to be honest. I can appreciate people are busy but them at does not justify ignoring customers.

As someone who usually loves subway, this has consistently been the worst subway in Greater Manchester for as long as I can remember. This last time the girl was handling the bin and then started to make my sandwiches without even washing her hands or changing gloves. Disgusting, I walked away. Edit for reply: I can confirm this was definitely the Subway at which it happened. It’s weird that the girl “wouldn’t remember”; you’d think she’d want to admit her horrendous hygiene standards to her manager..

Very impressed with Kirky who served me the other day. He is either psychic or cold read my sandwich order and got it spot on. Either way I was impressed as it's not in his job title and it showed he cared about the customer his job and Subway which is rare! Glad I chose Subway that day!

The worst subway I’ve ever been to. The first time I went there the ingredient trays had mass cross contamination. The ingredients were mixed due to lack of care when working and cleanliness overall. Awful food hygiene. Giving them a second chance on the basis of the trays being clean. My bread was extremely stale the bread actually tasted like off bread and I wouldn’t be surprised if it was mouldy. The bread flaked and crumbled due to how stale it actually was. There’s nothing fresh about this place and that’s it’s only unique selling point The service was terrible nothing good about this place, a disservice to fast food and subway

Worst Subway of my life. Boiled cold chicken. I had to chuck the other 6inch of the footlong in the bin as I could feel myself getting ill

Staff really weren’t with it. Think one of them forgot my sandwich was in the toaster! I was stood like a lemon for ages (as the only customer). There were at least 3 of them on. Another member of staff had to glove up and sort my sandwich out (he did apologise). Steak sandwich itself was disappointing. Cant choose your own bread when I asked. I wasn’t invited to add other salads/ sauces with that one either.

Have subway your way, not. Why have a range to "make your own" Especially when it's "subway have it your way" when you can't have what you like. Rubbish service at this store.

One of your staff member look like Indian has not good behaviour 😕 he should treat everyone equally

Myself and my husband queued for 10 minutes to get served. When we got to the till I ordered my husbands food and then she immediately asked the person behind me for her order. Didn't bother waiting for me to order my food. I said I haven't finished yet and she didn't bat an eyelid, just carried on serving the next person. Won't be going there again.

Really poor service, asked for a meal deal and to upgrade to get the fries instead of crisps/cookies and because of the poor communication between staff we got charged more as the rude lady put it all seperate- when we stoof there waiting for our cup she turned around and said "Well I did ask you if you wanted anything else" really rude and impolite. grabbed the receipt from me huffing and puffing and still got charged for the drink- overall really poor service from the staff the food was decent, once we sat down they kept looking over with dirty looks , wont be coming to this subway again- didnt catch there names but this happened on Monday 13th Feb at around 3:20pm!

Absolutely rude staff not helpful at all The Steak and cheese comes out as bread and salad no meat, and so cold I asked for a meal but they charged me £3.90 extra.not ever coming back again

The first time that I come here and I find the girl so impolite, she ask me which bread do I want, I say either Italian or Herb Italian one that is white, she said that all are white, NOT AT ALL, it’s clear this woman is not a Sandwich Lover as I am, when you love sandwiches a key part is the bread, it needs to be taste and in the condition you want, in my case I like the most white bread possible from the range they have, and NOT all breads are white as she says, when she open the tray it’s clear there are some difference in the level of more white more brown, whenever I have go to bakeries they never have a problem to check for me which bread is the most white, I ask her to pick the one second from the right, fifth layer, she said all are the same, and then picked one randomly, the one I told her was the one I wanted, one that was much whiter. Only for this I was about to say to her leave it, I will find other places. Then she leave the chicken tikka all concentrated in the middle instead of spreading it, there is a great difference in a sandwich where the ingredients are all in one side to when they are well spread. The name of this woman is Lydia. I won’t go back to this place when this woman is here.

Slow service and no tomato. Apparently they where making more. Good luck with that!

If you want something quick and easy to enjoy like a big meal then this is the place to go to when peckish......this is value for money and always enjoyable, w2ithout a doubt. You will always be coming back for more, again and again

Slowest Subway in the world! Painful waiting and took almost 30 mins to get served and wasn’t that busy at all. Just two staff on with one rearranging the sauce bottles! 🤷‍♂️ Just Eat / Uber orders prioritised which just adds to the wait and annoys the customers. Prices seemed higher than other Subway stores too. Not one to rush back to for sure.

Don’t bother turning up anytime near closing time. Even after waiting 15mins to be served during which time we were also asked if we were paying by card it was then announced to the whole line (all of 2 - us and the customer who’s order took as long to process) that the shop was closed and they could not serve us. This wouldn’t normally be an issue but considering we were seen, were asked about payment only to be shooed away was appalling. Don’t bother I know I won’t.

Seemed the same as any other Subway, staff were ok, fast service, Tuna on a wrap was ok

much dearer than other franchises, my friend and i nornally visit the one at salford precinct for lunch when we meet up and follow on to the lowry where everytime i order a latte coffee (which should be very milky) it is incredibly strong. adding lots of milk pots to it is no good as this is not fresh milk and just makes it cold . i would say sub way latte is the nicest and the fairest priced in multiple of its stores . just the mix here is terribly overstrong YUK often long queues and with most retail nowerdays it is hit and miss on staffs clearness of speech (mumbling ) or even a please or thank you !!!!

Went to do some shopping and tough about getting a bite from subway, was chocked that during this pandemic the person doing the subs was not with a mask, turned around straight away

You queue up and order the bread you want plus the fillings. Everything is freshly prepared in front of you and there is not much time to wait. You can choose side dishes also like garlic bread or hash browns and a drink of your choice plus crisps or cookies. Everything was very tasty and a reasonable price.

Worst subway I have ever visited in my life, difficult rude staff, the most awkward and ridiculous ordering system I have ever had the displeasure to deal with only rates zero stars but you can't do that

Joke of a place. Despite being in a site with a cinema and therefore lots of late traffic they pack up 20 mins early, put food away and turn customers away. Need to amend trading hours to “early enough that we can pack up and sod off home early”. Absolutely no attempt to say “sorry sir, we have limited options” it was just a flat out no, despite there obviously being food in the chiller and bread in the cabinet.

Subway always surprises me with what they come up with to entice people in and it works every time. When you can choose what type of bread rolls to have your filling in, it makes a difference - always come back for more

These are made to order with a choice of bread and fillings. You can also have nachos or crisps or cookies. Service is a bit slow when the centre is busy but it is worth waiting for as the prices are very reasonable and the food is tasty.

This place has gone downhill. It used to be a really slick operation, at one point today, you had one guy on the line and 3 other people in the back, queue slowly building. The garlic shaker wasn't full and had to be stirred with a knife that he had to go in the back for, slowly. The girl and ponytail chatting whilst I'm waiting to eat, peppers are mixed now, I just wanted green - The line floor is a mess, the ponytail who eventually served me missed the bin less than a foot away, waste all over the floor behind the counter. No napkin offered or available, no greetings, no smiles, they just look tired and fed-up. Place is a dive, would not eat there again.

Slowwwwww. Yes it is busy but staff too slow and too many inexperienced on at one time so lots of looking at what some of the items should have on. Italian bread was too soft and or tuna too wet and ended up with complete broken up mess. A poor Subway.

Just as good as any other subway. Polite staff. Great food and not too busy. Great for a quick stop to build some energy.

Having driven down from Scotland on the Saturday morning for a 3pm Man U match, we had lunch here. My two young grandsons love a Subway and I am now a convert. The baguettes were very tasty.

The different types of rolls to choose from with six or twelve inch subways - there is a choice to make on what you want have in the roll *** you can have crisps or biscuits or both together, hot and cold drinks as well. Always worth a return visit, highly recommended

Took my Son and Daughter to the Lowry, decided to have lunch. I had plenty of points on my Subway card for my 16 year old Son to get his footlong, so he queued while I waited and watched nearby. He got served and asked the girl behind the til to use the points, she wouldn't take the points and asked for the money instead and just kept saying £6.60 over and over. To save everyones embarrasment, especially his, he gave her £10. She then said to him "are you not going to move, you can move now", he said "I need my change", she looked at him and said "oh, well how much was it" rude and clueless!!! Overall he enjoyed his sandwich and we checked our change afterwards!

These are freshly prepared in front of you to your own specification so you can choose the ingredients. Hygiene is of a high standard and the quality of the bread and meats is very good. If you are shopping in the Lowry Centre and want a snack then this is to be recommended.

Came to subway to try the new vegan patty. We were very impressed with the staff member who quickly changed his gloves without question and recommended to us that the patty should be toasted. He was very attentive and even guided us on which sauces were and weren't vegan. We even felt like he went the further mile by checking the ingredients of the crisps on offer to check if they were vegan or not. Eating out vegan is often a nightmare as you feel like a nuisance but this member of staff made us feel at ease and not judged in any way - also great for those who are dairy intolerant etc. The sandwich itself was also great and it's great to have an option on the menu! I think the member of staff was called Ryan, and should be commended!

Great service and high quality food

Compared to other Subways this one is on the slow side so you have to wait longer than at others. However the standard of the sandwiches is just as good.

Quick friendly service. Fresh bread and ingredients. Great value for money. I had a 12 inch Italian BMT which was very filling but. I ate it all because it was so nice.

Good as far as Subway goes. However, if you are vegetarian, be prepared to see staff handling various meat slices for the customer in front of you and your veggie patty without changing gloves.

Your usual Subway fare. On this occasion it was a breakfast meal deal. The food was good and filled the need. I would have scored it four, but the staff were miserable.

The staff added to much sauce and did not listen to me but the samdwitch was delicious also they missed me out every single time.

When you go to subway, your always guaranteed a good choice to choose from - so choose wisely when you order your Subway meal. There are hot and cold drinks to choose from, with biscuits and crisps as well. Most definitely worth more visits

Subway is one of a number of eateries in a food court in the lowry outlet. I chose the BLT sub on this occasion and it was prepared by a very helpful young man who advised me on what bread roll would be the softest. Besides the bacon, lettuce and tomato you could add other ingredients and it made it into a substantial tasty snack. The latte coffee was also good. It was a pretty quiet time (17.00) - so no problem getting a table. The staff at Subway were helpful and polite. The tables were kept clean and regularly wiped down. It is what it is!

Not inspired by the Lowery outlet so went for a cuppa in subway for something to do. Nice helpful staff and great coffee and tea. Not busy at the time we went as it was early.

Happened to walk through this outlet on way to other venues and can't say it was particulalry inspiring... as didn't know many of the shops and weren't particularly enticing and all apeared rather dull. Perhps Im just not keen on shoppng!

We picked up a takeaway sub from here & the lad making it was very helpful & the sub was delicious. It is in a food court so there are lots of other choices too if anyone doesn't fancy a sub, & there is a large indoor eating area

I tried one of the new wraps for the first time and was not disappointed. The chicken, bacon and avocado wrap was delicious. It is great value for £4.00 with ample filling and service was good. To be recommended,

Visited in July - Sunday early afternoon , first table offered was by the door on to the mall even though it wasn’t full second table a little more private . When tea was brought for 2 the waitor brought 2 mugs and a teapot for 1 / hmmm not quite

Not a big fan of Subway cafes but as we were looking for a simple sandwich this seemed to be the best choice on offer. Service was very quick despite there being a long queue. I chose the steak and cheese baguette and a coffee. Great choice of salad on it and the coffee was hot. Couldn't complain about the price although not a great place to sit and eat but grateful for a seat after all the shopping in the outlet.

Great snack, friendly efficient service . Great value as normal. Really tasty with excellent large amounts of salad and meats on a good choice of very fresh baguettes.

I happened to be working in the area and needed a quick bite to eat. Considering the other choices in this food mall Subway is not a bad choice, its just the best of a bad bunch in my view. Fairly uninspiring place to sit and eat, you are better off sitting outside if the weathers good.

Exactly the same as all of the others but the guy on the till was friendly! Could do with putting crisps at the front tomake the selection easier - it's not busy so they won't get stolen!

Stopping for a quick bite as I had dropped some people at Old Trafford. The staff were dis engaged and sloppy.

My Boyfriend and I were extremely impressed with our lengthy foot longs. Filled to the max with meaty goodness we were blown by the taste infusion that Subway had to offer. We were particularly impressed by Sam, the Picasso of sandwich artistes. He really knew how to fill our hole.

So it's 10.35am and they only flatbread ? No more bread baked this is so bad for your name and then there was no bacon or sausage left for breakfast

Unfortunately I have to start things negative as that’s almost how it started for me at this subway. Don’t get me wrong the staff knew how to slice their bread, if anything I’d describe it as perfectly sliced but this is where things took a turn for the upside down. Fillings on the top of the sub. I know to you and me this sounds like an impossible feat but not to this subways sandwich artist, if anything it seemed like he enjoyed the challenge.

We had 2 meal deals which were both nice and what we expected. What we didn't expect was the rudeness of the female member of staff - customer service is so important or people will not come back

Not sure this 'bread' is worth £3. Had trouble finding the filling. This is the 3rd time now and have decided to never visit a subway again. Definitely not worth the money!!!

Had a pleasant Latte, at a reasonable price of 1.99, with a gingerbread syrup. Served efficiently> if you want cheap good coffee this is the place.

6" Veggie Delight on Italian Herbs and Cheese bread with a bit of everything from the salad bar. Yum. Cheap, tasty and fresh. But why oh why do they only give out just one napkin?!

If you want something to eat in a hurry whilst shopping this is ideal. There is a great choice of different breads and fillings so you can choose exactly what you want ie meat or fish plus any salad toppings you want. The staff are very friendly and efficient and you can get a great meal deal for a great price with a hot or cold drink plus crisps thrown in, Great for a snack whilst out and about with excellent quality food in very clean surroundings.

The women who was taking the first order, ie what bread and filling etc has got to be the rudest person I've ever come across. I pointed at what I thought was white bread on the glass screen only to be told in a disgusted manner 'you've asked for white bread and your pointing at brown so which is it, make up your mind.!!!!!Unbelievable how anyone can give this girl a job !!!!!!

Quick, cheerful and healthy grub here. Went for the Tuna on a 12 inch flat bread and shared it with a drink for round a fiver ...... excellent value ..... very good food court, light and bright

After a wonderful day out at the Lowry, this subway is adequately staffed and stocked and have everything you want for a very tasty bite.

My young daughter fancied a bacon and tomato sandwich (not in a kids pack), it was not allowed, children are only allowed ham, turkey or veggie. I think subway should realise that some children have a wider taste than ham!!!I'd only ever been in a subway once before in Altrincham, we ordered a bacon sandwich for breakfast and was given 2 tint rashers of bacon which amounted to the equivalent of 1 normal sized rasher. Totally rubbish!!!

Always a staple in any city but at least you can guarantee the basic meal that it provides! Nothing fancy but it certainly fills a hole

quick & helpful food was lovely & fresh great to be able to make own selection do not like mayo or any type of sauce so it is good i can pick my own filling !

My daughter was really excited about trying her first sub. However this franchise needs to train its staff - no kids bag as no delivery and no sympathy with the customer. They could really learn something off the bigger chains. Not sure we will be running back here again.

Trying to like Subway cos people rave over them but I find them dry and plasticky. Not enough filling for size.

We stopped off for a light lunch break in the middle of our day of sight-seeing and visiting. What a pleasure. The range of breads available were fresh and tasty and the choice of fillings and sauces made for a lovely satisfying sandwich. The idea of creating a personal taste is very successful and the accompanying coffee (or soft drink option) makes it a satisfying (and very good value) light meal.
