Just had the worst subway of my life, the bloke behind the counter had no customer skills AT ALL, After huffing and puffing about making our subs, I asked for it to be warm and it was stone cold, was muttering under his breath a lot, made me and my wife very uncomfortable, the best bit about the meal was the packet of Crisps, the gravy was Luke warm. Very disappointed won’t be returning

I ordered a steak and cheese footlong and asked if they had hearty Italian bread to which they said no. (I can't remember the last time when they did have it..) so I had to compromise. This subway seems to be run by foreign men which is a big problem as their English isn't the best and I am never really sure what they're saying and I'm not sure if they know what I'm saying either so you just have to point. The staff member also kept trying to make me buy more cookies and add a drink and a bag of crisps to my order even though I said i just wanted the sandwich. Lastly the staff didn't seem to impressed that I wanted to pay with a £10 note and I ended up getting my change back in a big pile of 10ps. I would not recommend coming here as there is a better subway in rowner that isn't too far away. I'm sure if they changed the staff with people who have English as their first language and made sure that they are stocked up on bread then It would have been a more pleasant experience.

So, I went here today (18.04.21) whilst at Lee on Solent beach. I am specifically GF. My partner and children are not. We went in after queuing for around 20 minutes outside (see reason why at the bottom of this review) & grabbed an allergen list for me & I asked the server: of the ingredients listed “GF”, which I could have inside my GF bread & which were available? The male server was RUDE & proceeded to tell me that I would be provided the GF bread AND all of “whatever ingredients” I wanted from out the back. Now, I know this is incorrect as only the bread sits out the back. (Have had previous GF subway in another town and was very well advised/assisted). Anyway I then explained that yes, I understand that the bread comes from out of the back in individual packets but looking down at ingredients I could only see a small range. I asked for rotisserie chicken. I was told they’ve not sold that for “months and months”. I suggested he flag to get allergen menu updated. I was met with a shrug and a blank expression and made to feel like a nuisance. He then asked “well what are you having”? I responded with “well what CAN I have?” I also could see EVERYTHING TOUCHING EVERYTHING at this point (Total cross contamination) of GF / Non-GF ingredients and after asking my partner to try getting a straight answer because I was getting embarrassed and upset of being ignored and misinformed; he also had no luck. I decided to just say listen don’t worry, you clearly won’t help me and as I could see everything spread out and NO separation for GF food preparation I walked out of the store. This is NOT sufficient for a GF person and had I have actually chosen to eat there today under this servers VERY UNEDUCATED advise I would have most certainly become very ill. I asked several times of which I could have and can he help? All the other staff members could hear me and my partner asking but ignored the situation. The server was choosing not to care less and unashamedly said to both me and my partner that as a GF person I could have “ANYTHING FROM THE DISPLAY CABINETS BECAUSE ITS ONLY THE BREAD THAT COMES GF!!!!”This clearly IS NOT the case. Not only do I KNOW this because I AM GF but I was stood with the official (out-of-date apparently) Subway allergen menu in my HAND! I was so upset and didn’t trust him that I walked out leaving my partner and children in the shop. I went opposite to a LOVELY LOCAL CAFE who catered for me the best he could and was met there with nice decent people with good understanding of food allergies. When I met with my partner / children again outside the cafe he had said that the man was SO rude to him, gave COMPLETELY FALSE information with regard to allergens AND that he also could see that all of the food was all over the place, all touching etc. Also not only did the server deny what he originally said there was no apology and my pertinent only purchased their orders because they’d already been prepared. Also the man at the toll was rude and unapologetic. AVOID IF YOU ARE GF. AVOID IF YOU ARE A COELIAC. AVOID IF YOU HAVE ALLERGIES. AND AVOID EVEN IF YOU DONT! I WILL be formally complaining as well. I’m lucky enough to be well informed and have a good understanding with regard to my allergies since this has been long term for me now for some time but many do not or are recently freshly diagnosed. This service, attitude and sheer rudeness of ALL the staff is disgusting and unacceptable. We will NEVER return. Also, whilst on the subject of how poor this place is, on the door it clearly says NO MORE THAN TWO CUSTOMERS IN AT A TIME. My partner counted EIGHT PEOPLE inside the store so we chose to wait outside until everybody had left to go in and place order. They didn’t seem to mind that us four went in together. Broken hand sanitiser. Had to take lid off to get some. Nobody cared. NO SOCIAL DISTANCING in place.

Italian bmt and 12 cookies plus what ever daisy had. My son was enjoy in it until he saw a hair in it. He spat it out. He then went straight over and complained. They said there is no refund. 🤬🤬🤬 we will never ever shop there again. The blokes attitude was digusting. We went on the 26th march between 8/9pm. He then said as they stood around he then foned the old bill and his boss, which were spose to be on there way

Two boys in there have no clue of customer service and are not offering government discount three people complained about this whilst I was in there even though it states on door there taking part in the scheme

Sandwich artist used his mobile phone and earphones when making my sub. There was a lack of ingredients available, meaning my order was far from what I wanted. There was no Italian-type breads available and the salad options were limited and roughly chopped. There was also a lot of cross contamination between the ingredients and the knife used to cut the bread. Extremely poor service and extremely poor hygiene

Was left waiting for 5 minutes before anyone came out, then said it was our fault for not calling through, had a bad attitude and made us feel uncomfortable! A lot of ‘yeah, yeah, give me a minute’ when ordering. We both asked for our subs to be toasted but both were stone cold, the hash browns were partly frozen. I usually don’t mind too much when things go wrong, I work in the industry myself, but the combination of the two means I would not go back!

Poor personal hygiene from male employee who served me this afternoon. His visor was filthy and his t shirt covered in ‘I don’t know what’ - really put me off - first time in this subway branch but will be my last. Store scruffy, dark and not well designed. The Gosport branch is spotlessly clean with friendly staff this branch is really grotty😖

Took a drive into Lee-on-the-Solent this lunch time with another member of staff for a subway lunch. The place is very small and poorly thought out with no clear line for queuing or those being served. The start of the line is right in the back corner and you have to force your way back past everyone queuing to chose the ingredients e.t.c This would not be accessible to a wheel chair user. Asked for a footlong flatbread and the guy took out a bag which had a 6inch piece and a footlong piece in it. He took out the 6 inch piece and then struggled to tear the footlong piece in two. Didn't think to just put the 6inch piece back and take out the footlong bit... I asked for a steak and cheese sub and the server just threw on the regular cheese without asking if I wanted spicy. When I asked him for spicy cheese he took the regular cheese off and just threw it back into the cheese box covered in little bits of steak and onion. See pic. I'm not a veggie or Vegan but thought this was wrong. When I mentioned the cheese he just threw back into the box had bits of steak and onions on it the guy just ignored me. Won't be going back if that the care and thought that goes into the prep and food care as the bits of steak are still probably in the bottom of the cheese box today... Then there is the price. £7 for a footlong and a drink. There is a steak house that will give me a proper rump steak and a pint just down the seafront.... Go for the breakfast sub but lots of other places elsewhere nearby that does a good lunch for cheaper.

You don't get much from Subway .. but you do expect good customer service. The chap serving was unengaging, monosyllabic and almost scruffy looking with his part shaved face. They were also out of certain foods including Tuna, and all the pots seemed very low. Most subway's I visit the food is always full and topped up. Perhaps this was an off day, but with the restaurant completely empty - the co-op across the road seemed more inviting in hindsight.

First time I've been here with my grand children their choice as they like to kids meal with the gift. Good choice of fresh bread and fillings. Staff were friendly and helpful. The place was clean and quite busy.

En general, ¿qué puedo decir, es una estación de metro. Lugar encantador, normalmente muy limpio, el hombre siempre que es encantador, conversador y siempre había una sonrisa a sus clientes. Rollos son siempre frescos, como son los embutidos y quesos, ensaladas frescas, único inconveniente es a veces no tienen maíz dulce. Un montón de salsas y puedes mezclar n partido :)Ofertas de comida tienen una buena relación calidad-precio y vale la pena recoger puntos de metro card, recomiendo :)

Me ocasionalmente ir a metro, como me pareció bastante un almuerzo saludable. Toda la información sobre nutrición está en exhibición, normalmente tienen un 6" pechuga de pavo, jamón sub en pan de grano entero. El personal siempre es amable en todos los metros que he ido. Los precios son razonables y siempre hay folletos con cupones, así que puedes conseguir ofertas de comida y ahorrar dinero. bebidas ilimitadas con cada sub, y puede añadir una cookie, por una pequeña cantidad. avena y pasas es mi favorito!

I visited at least 4 to 5 times. Average sandwiches. Good cookies. good lunch. Car park shared by Tesco and Costa. it is free for two hours. I am talking about the subway in Alver Village Square. Post code PO13 8ZW. Staff are good, welcoming.
