Subway in Wakefield

I went around the drive thru and the lady who served me, Sammy, was lovely. So polite, really clear and listened really well. Great experience.

A good place to have a quiet sandwich and coffee be we go back to are busy life's

Update: the order ahead and skip the queue makes no logical sense. Ordered on the subway app and said it was being made. It said it the latest it would be ready by was in 20 minutes. Waited 20 minutes, still not ready… went to the counter to be asked what I had ordered like they had no clue and nothing was prepared. What is the point in ordering ahead on the app? Because they don’t bother making your food. There wasn’t even anyone ordering food for 15 minutes when we were waiting so god knows what the staff were doing instead of making our food!! Terrible experience, zero customer service.

I've been going here for many years. Most of the staff are lovely, however there is one assistant who's name is Kylie, she always seems really rude. She's got my order wrong twice as she's constantly in a rush. I understand its fast food, but surely when taking orders she could slow down and actually get the sandwiches right. I've heard other customers complain about the way she talks to people, a bit of customer service goes a long way. We have been served many times by a girl called Sammy who is the total opposite and goes out of her way to be polite, helpful and courteous. Total chalk and cheese!

We came through the drive thru and we were greeted by Sammy over the speaker who was extremely polite and friendly, her customer service was amazing. I hope she gets the recognition she deserves ☺️

Portion sizes abysmally poor and untrained staff

Ordered from here through Just Eat. Got most of my order but my sandwich was wrong and I cannot eat it due to having certain issues with food. I called to let them know and I got a rude "what can I do?" as well as just not completely being listened to. Really disappointed as its usually good here. You guys really need to fix this awful customer service.

Ordered The Notorious BMT, when we opened it, it had no sauce, no salad, just meat, so it wasn't nice to eat at all, weren't offered a sauce or salad as we assumed it came as a standard sandwich

A very lovely branch of Subway!! The staff are all amazing!! The drive thru is very fast and efficient. Whenever i go in it's always very clean and provides a lovely atmosphere to eat. The manager Sammy is awesome and very professional.... a brilliant asset to the company!!

We have just ordered for 3 of us including a kids meal and it was spot on . The lady who took our order called Sammy was amazing at her job and she gave the best customer service from a drive through I have ever gotten ! Ings road subway

I had to wait quite a while to be served because the staff were busy with drive thru, just eat and deliveroo orders.

Don't order often but foods always spot on and quickly delivered. Even when we add notes to the order staff can see it and accommodate for us. Any chance of sending staff over the road to mcdonalds to train them, I don't think any of them can read or have braincells.

The food was nice and warm, servicer was polite and wasn't waiting to collect.

Subway at Wakefield is a culinary wasteland, where the food is as bland as the décor. The service is so slow, you'll have time to write a novel before you get your sandwich. And when you finally do get it, you'll be disappointed to find that it's missing all the toppings you asked for. The restaurant itself is a dive. The tables are sticky, the floors are greasy, and the air is thick with the smell of stale bread. I'm not sure what's more depressing: the food or the atmosphere. If you're looking for a good sandwich, I recommend going somewhere else. Subway at Wakefield is not worth your time or your money.

No problems, with the food or the service at all. The place itself however feels old, tired and dated. It's like it's stuck in the early 2000s.

Very disappointed today, ordered everyone's lunch as per and the bread today was stale. Hard, smelt funny, & no one ate it.

The only Subway outlet I know that has Drive through. Don't expect fast processing as food preparation can be time-consuming. My average wait time is about 5 minutes from end to end.

Same food as other joints, but nice and spacious environment to sit around and lots of parking

Just OK, menu has changed. Seems it is more difficult to get a personalised sub. Salad box is only a 1/4 full which makes you feel like you are short changed.

Place was empty and still had to repeat my order 3 times and it took ages

Joe is the best sandwich maker I've seen. He made sure every part of the filling was well placed. McDonald's should be paying him 6 figures to teach there kids how to do it and what it means to take pride in what you do. All the staff were lovely and engaging despite it being half 8 on a Saturday night. Top marks.

This place is has gone downhill. The staff are miserable, unprofessional, slow and lazy. There were at least 5 staff on, the place was practically empty yet it took nearly 10 mins for 1 standard sandwich on drive through?! We could clearly see them slumping around like they had nothing to do. IT WAS OUTRAGEOUS!! Joe was alright though, at least he was friendly

Absolutely terrible service Just been ordered 3 sandwiches ..waited an hour yes an hour … gets home 4 miles and only 2 sandwiches in bag and they won’t answer the phone either .. won’t be returning again

Went here on my lunch break earlier, I was already in a rush to get back to work and the woman took ages to come to the speaker thing... (when I went round to the window, they were all messing around) I understand if they're busy and don't come on straight away, but a bit annoying when they're not and they're just messing around. Also, I have a dairy allergy so I asked the woman what food I could have that doesn't have dairy, and the woman rudely said to me oh I don't have a clue, don't think we have any other than the vegan option. I asked for an allergen menu so drove round to the first window to get this and saw I was able to order a terriki chicken salad. I ordered this WITH CHICKEN, however when I got back to work and opened it, it had no chicken in it! And I paid extra for the chicken?! I was gutted, but was at work and already running late so didn't have any time to go back to get the chicken. Also, I have a blue light card, so got a free cookie. Obviously, she knew I was dairy free, and I asked her to check if there was a dairy free cookie, she gave me what she said was a vegan cookie. However once I had eaten it I got really bad stomach ache and had to rush to the loo... I checked online at a picture of the vegan cookie from subway, and it didn't look like the cookie I had eaten... She gave me a full dairy cookie. I am so disappointed with the service here today, really think it's a shambles. Thankfully I don't go into anaphylactic fit when I have dairy, but imagine if I did... It would be a nightmare. If I receive no reply to this review, I feel that I may have to take this further. I wouldn't even put one star if I didn't have to! Anyone with allergies or vegan preferences do not eat from here!

Server was rushing us to order, one was put through as ft long incorrectly (which I noticed only after I'd paid), one was cold after asking for it to be toasted, and the fillings were just thrown in. I don't expect delicacy when I go to subway but this was shocking!

Food is good but the service they provide is awful, they are rude. Ignoring when asked for help. This has happened on 31.03 at 11:45 so morning shift hope bosses will speak with them and inform them it’s their job to serve people and be nice towards them not rude and useless.

Clean, swift, tasty & reasonably priced subs. Irritating number of choices to make when your mind is elsewhere!

Staff are great. If you get chance, see if you can spot the 'feather' I got.. breakfast in a hearty Italian footlong. 4 poached eggs nicely cooked,not too runny.. bacon sausage cheese ,brown sauce Cuppa T. £4.99. ate in the van..egg down the shirt 😜👍

Need to speed up a bit! Update. Nobody apart from me and my colleague were wearing masks in the queue inside. No member of staff questioned these people. I can guarantee 10 or so people wouldn't be exempt.

Nice food clean toilets. Only issue is one guy never wears a snoot to stop huge amount of beard hair falling into food. Update like many businesses that claim to have customer safety in mind the hand sanitiser stations are frequently empty which saves them money but shows the companies true culture.

As expected for a fast food place. Quick service, nice sandwiches but nothing exceptional.

Just been and I was waiting 15 minutes for 2 meal deals I wouldn't mind if it was busy but I was the 9nky car in drive through and there was only 1 guy waiting in shop aswell

A very tired looking and dated Subway!!!!!!!!!!! Staff are ok, One girl called Jane stood out and was quick to serve and made a cracking sandwich and made us feel welcome. Dining area very old and dated and needs a dam good clean with a jet wash as the table legs etc full of ground in dirt!!!!!

Very slow service at drive through. hot wrap was cold. No other customers but it took 15 mins for our food although I have to say the food was nice.

The service wasn't so great today at this Subway. It seems most of the staff on shift today were trainees, because they messed up the separate orders for myself and daughter and had difficulty operating the register. The young lady bussing the tables was cheerful and helpful though, so an extra start for that.

Drive through takes too long, waiting ages. I could see inside through the window, saw about 10 people get served before my order appeared. I really feel for the other cars trapped behind waiting for this poor service. If I hadn't of already paid then I would have drove off. Quicker to get out and walk in, even if the drive thru is empty

Drive through option is fairly unique for a subway making it a very convenient option. Good subway for those who don’t like talking to people. Very good food and service, as is customary with any subway franchise.

Good food and polite staff. Great for a nice coffee too without having to pay over the top.

This place needs to sort it's drive thru, I would suggest an exit to the drive thru just after the order point, as there is nothing worse than them being out of everything you want, thus having to wait in the queue to exit the drive thru with no order, we waited 20mins to exit the drive thru with only 3 cars ahead of us. Ridiculous

Great service but bad till system. It broke and wouldn't reboot for around 15 mins. Food was cold by then.

I ordered salad on my sub got home and there was none after I paid for it also my nachos the was hardly any cheese on and same with the sauce I was disappointed.

Been to this Subway many times. And will carry on doing so I'm sure. Everyone is polite and professional. Their Italian B.M.T sandwiches are our favourite. But all of them are of good quality and decent value. I've not tried the drive thru yet, but I might at some point. Having a SubCard is well worth having, I've a free 12" sub to claim next time :)
