Half an hour before closing and they don't have any chips.

Came last night for the first time, ordered two lightly battered fish, two chips and a curry sauce. The staff were friendly, the chips were the best we've had, fluffy on the inside, still piping hot when we got home. The fish was cooked perfectly, flaky and meaty. Not too greasy either. We'll defo be back.

Large chips was about 20 chips. 2 soggy sausages And 4 cans of pop 15.90. Terrible

Called in and got a small fish on 7.12.23. The fish was fresh out of the fryer. It looked like good crispy batter on the outside but one bite told a different story. The batter inside the very outer crispy layer was raw and uncooked (it just dribbled all over my jacket). Absolutely gross. I don't know if the guy frying that day was totally inexperienced but there was no excuse for such a sloppy offering. Greasy and undercooked. I will avoid like the plague in the future and advise everyone who asks to do the same.

Ordered a large chips, large cod and sausages to share as a family. Got about 20 chips.

Fish was very but the chips was like mashed potatoes think they needed to have a bit more time in the fryer

Spam fitter was lovely, chips where horrible some of the worst I've ever had ever from any fish shop. Might aswell of had a bag of batter that would of had more taste.

Chips are rubbish almost burned same for the fish not going back again

I use this chip shop often, the food is good, always cooked properly and well presented. I like to ring my order in advance so it's ready when i arrive there.

absolutely disgusting food the last few times we have had food from there they have ended up in the bit totally not edible and definitely won't go there anymore

The food is amazing, especially the gravy. There is a wonderful women who works there called taya she does an amazing job. Would recommend going there

Tasty food and great quality fish and sausage. Love their gravy, nobody makes it like these. Staff are fab and extremely generous. Wouldn't go anywhere else 👍

Absolutely astounded that my husband went today for our Tea (peak time) I wanted a fish cake to which some rude woman just replied "We havnt gone none" My husband asked if she could put 1 in for him...... "Her reply NO" No explanation or anything as to why she couldn't put 1 in to cook. Definitely would not return!...

Lovely fish and chips been going there for years cheap prices and kind staff

First time trying this chippy, the fish was nice but the batter was soggy underneath..like it had been sat in the box for a while..the kids fish and chips are good value..but the normal size fish was dissapointing because it was more or less the same size as the childs...the lady who served me didnt even pack my food had to do it myself...the customer service let it down abit for me.

Came from tingley,leeds.a short drive away.easy to get to.large fish.the batter was golden brown. Just right.very tastey.large portions of fish and chips. Curry sauce and mushy peas. I highly recommend a visit,to this friendly and clean fish and chip shop .....thankyou

We are not locals but whenever we are in the area we always call in. The fish is huge and top quality..coated in fantastic batter. The chips are lovely and the price amazing. Lovely staff serving too. Brilliant.

I went to the chippy last Tuesday and I’d say it was the best fish and chips I’ve had in ages... got served by a lovely young girl who was polite bubbly and offered me a bag to put my food in which most places tend to leave you to juggle all the family’s order.The lady who was frying did a good job as fish Had plenty of crispy batter on and tasted nice. I’ve been told it’s been taken over recently by a new owner so well done to whoever that is! The Mushy peas went down as a treat.

The chips are really very nice. The consistency of the portions however is terrible. One women gives a portion which is called a large but most other venues wouldn't even call it a small but then you go again, get served by another person and the portions and just right. Avoid the older woman that serves as it seems she does not like handing out her chips.... This has happened many times to me so i cant even say it is a one off.

Closes at 8pm but refuse to cook sausages at 7.15pm. This has happened on more than one occasion now, resulting in us going to a chip shop in Castleford where they understand decent customer services. Chips here are also very sweaty and staff sullen.

The only fish and chip shop I've enjoy in the last few years!! The chips are sooo good and great value for money. Staff were so kind and smiling
