Subway in Walsall

Hello. Bought a veggie delight today from the Aldridge Store. The concept has been changed and orders are taken via a screen a bit like McDonalds. I have to say my sandwich was very poor. Hardly any salad unlike the picture on the screen and no sauce or salt and pepper. The bread was heated in the oven and had gone hard. The concept of what subway was about has been taken away, that was CHOICE. I didn't want tomato's and I wanted extra onions and jalapenos. At £4.20 I would have expected something more substantial.

I am an Uber eats delivery partner I went to pick up and delivery order. The staff at the front desk was not very helpful and also was very rude. I went in to ask if the order is taking long because I had appointment at 12 pm so if the order is taking more than 10 minutes as you are busy as well, I might cancel the order he said no it will take a little while. Please bring your bag so I bring the delivery back from the car as requested. I waited patiently while he carry on serving other customers and my order was ready and sitting at the till he did not hand me over the order until he finish all the customer although my order was ready by then he was very rude with me and doing different head gestures about me with other customers. I work this as a part-time earning job as a side income. I do have a full-time job and I work for very good company after I pick up the order I realise he has given me a thumb down so now my question is please managers and the franchisee of this Shop please come forward and leave your email and I will get back to you in further details. I will not appreciate if your staffis not giving customer service what as as expected and giving thumbs down to Delivery partners. And I’m also going back to the shop to speak to the manager soon kind regards

I am very disappointed with the service I received at my local Subway from Pradeep and the trainee staff member. At the start of my visit, I clearly stated that I wanted to take advantage of the meal upgrade offer while also redeeming some points I had collected. However, this was not processed correctly at the till. Pradeep appeared not to understand the situation and made decisions without explanation, processing the transaction incorrectly. When I reviewed my receipt later and raised the issue with him, he simply said there was nothing he could do and placed the blame on the trainee. This lack of accountability and poor customer service is unacceptable. As a result of this experience, I will not be returning to this Subway branch. My Response to the owners post: I understand that mistakes can happen, but the issue lies in how those mistakes are handled. This situation wasn’t about the free meal upgrade deal—it was about the response I received as a customer. The way you, as the Subway owner, chose to address my concerns speaks volumes about your approach to customer service and management skills. It’s important to recognise that leadership sets the tone, and blaming staff for poor service reflects a deeper issue, as behaviour often mirrors leadership.

How can they get away with serving food like this? The sandwich just had tiny bits of chicken in it. There was no cheese on the pizza, just bread with tomato puree. The has browns were rubbery. The churros were rubbery and tasteless. The food was cold and disgusting. I gave most of it to my dog.

I selected a custom time slot that was 12:20 but ended up waiting until gone 12:50 for it to be delivered. I pre ordered this order about 1 and a half hours before I asked for delivery so I'm not sure why it was so late.

Over-toasted bread and biting into the brown, solid end of the iceberg lettuce completely ruined the subway. Very poor.

Ordered a sub melt series cheesy BMT and they forgot to put any cheese in it. Bread was a little burnt too

For starters I ordered a footlong and got sent a six inch, I also ordered hashbrowns which did not turn up at my doorstep. When I tried to call up about this dilemma they did not answer after I phoned 3 times. Not impressed

The staff here are great and are patient when other customers aren’t so great. Credit to them. Standing behind some rude customers I witnessed them handle it well and it didn’t impact their attitude when they dealt with me. If any of you guys read this I wish you well.

The employee who I believe is called John and think is a manager due to his different shirt, had a terrible attitude to service and his fellow employees. I overheard a conversation from him to say give less filling on my sandwich even though I thought it was fine. I find his attitude appalling and as I am a regular customer and this isn’t my first time noticing his snarkiness and rudeness towards customers I hope they have a change in management as soon as possible. I won’t be returning

Staff is not friendly they don’t have quality of how to deal with customers. One fatty boy who show attitude to customers also he didn’t wear proper uniform he served customer without name batch

Too much bad staff, they even not have a sence how to talk with customer. Always taking too much time for making order and always talk rudely.

The staff is too slow and the manager is always in ego and doesn't know how to talk with customer. I’m is in the restaurant and one of delivery driver will come for pickup the delivery and manager is talking with him to rudely like he’s something else not a human

order came without crisps when they were ordered and a drink I didn't order was with the order when it got delivered

Terrible service from site saying ready to collect to a 35min wait in shop and only two customers in. Then to run out of lettice and couldn't add a salad ingredient to make up for it unless I paid extra. Staff needs further training. Won't be coming back.

Driver picked order up and drove over 30 mins away then back to then deliver our food.

The order was incorrect and delivery was long.

I ordered it at around 3 and the time for its arrival kept changing and ended up getting here at quarter to 5.

The breakfast sub had egg on which I had asked in the note section for No egg & BBQ & Red sauce. The app hadn't been marked as delivered so couldn't complain that way so called the store in Aldridge to be told I had to reorder a sub or pop down to the store then get a refund for the first one. I drove to the store pay for my sub again even though they had made the mistake (1st sub was out in fridge) The member of staff said she couldn't get me a free replacementsub as didn't have the authority

Food great and the asian guy serving was polite and friendly. However, the till was down so couldn’t collect points and the supervisor needs to develop his customer service skills.

Illegally don't honour the £4.99 footlong deal (the website specifically states ANY sub is fine and they don't even have the get out of jail clause of managers discretion). Will be reporting to trading standards

The guy put 4 rashers a bacon on my footlong.. I said, "Come on dnt be shy. Add some more because he hardly put any on, and they charged me for extras! #4 skinny bacon rashers ona footlong.. At least put enough on to cover the bread!

I've had food from there loads of times. This was poorly put together. No double cheese. no cucumber. no crispy onion, very small portion of ham. I had to season it myself. small amount of sauce. It was just thrown together. I have taken a picture of how bad it was

This guy has the worst attitude ever. No idea why he even works here. Attitude is so bad. VERY RUDE PERSON! Subway owners do better.

Encountered much better service, food and general all round pleasantness from several Subway franchises. This is potentially the worst of all. Always an issue when we buy from here.

1 star for the food freezing cold despite meant to be toasted. Didn’t put in the bowl of meatballs either !

I ordered my food at 12:18 in order to arrive in time for my lunch break at 1pm, estimated arrival was initially 12:45-13:05. My estimated arrival kept being delayed and my food eventually arrived at 13:51, very disappointed with delivery time

Yet again I'm missing part of my order. This time I was offered a refund for the missing part, in about 7 days. Wanted to the food I ordered rather than a week's holiday for my money!

Order places at 12.50 and told it would arrive between 13:35-13:55. Didn’t arrive until 12.20.

Ordered this for lunch, food came almost 2 hours after ordering.

Food was fine but I was asked when ordering, "are you vegetarian, shall I take my gloves off as I've just handled ham" ???? Change your gloves after every customer. What kind of question even is that. Lazy worker couldn't be bothered to change his gloves!

The fact I’ve just waited over an hour for an order that came soggy, cold, the only thing decent was the bottled drink! The price I’ve just paid for this, I would’ve rather made it fresh myself considering it tastes like it been sitting on the counter for hours!!

This could change if I get a parking fine. Carpark states 30 minutes but having a small child and after getting to order i was infact there for 40 minutes. You shouldn't have to hurry your food so now I am anxious about getting the fine. 😩

They can’t be bothered to answer their phone if you need to change your order there’s no way of doing it or cancelling it as they just don’t bother answering their phone!!!!

This subway branch is very stingy with the ingredients, even the salad considering my sandwich cost me £9 you would think they would actually fill it

Ordered a subway at 12.10pm for collection at 12.30pm waited for half an hour till 1pm to get one subway Italian bmt what a joke so lost half my lunch waiting for a bloody sandwich , disorganised and needs managing in a better way and it’s supposed to be fast food !

An employee called John has a really terrible attitude problem and speaks down to customers. How ever if you are to question it he will a big girl and ask you to leave. This Subway is so good that it ruined my opinion of other Subway stores. The staff are a laugh-riot, and the food is VERY well prepared. Love it here and I go too much. 10/10

Worst subway I've ever had, how you can miss cheese off 3 of the 4 sandwiches wanting cheese is baffling, especially one being steak cheese!!!! Very disappointing to say the least, good job subway isn't expensive lol

A dry 6” baguette with very little steak, no cheese and load of red onion is not what I expected to receive Will not be ordering from here again! Shocked is an understatement had to butter, add cheese and remake the sandwich. There wasn’t enough tiny steak pieces to cover the half baguette

I have been coming to this Subway for over 9 years now and i can honestly say the staff are lovely and the food is always good... no matter who makes my sandwich :-) Thanks for always looking after us when we visit.

I placed my order, waited for my food for it to be showed as delivered at 15:17pm just to not even receive my food at all, paid for food I didn’t even receive but it showed as delivered and called up subway who said they couldn’t do anything about it. Very unhappy.

Always enjoy coming to this Subway. The staff are friendly and the food is fresh. The best Subway in Walsall hands down 🙌🙌

The driver just left the food on the floor and was getting into his car when I opened the door as I have had surgery I struggled to pick it up of the floor and was in pain. Why he couldn’t wait for me to open the door is beyond me

My footlong chicken salad had no chicken on it

Really nice staff. All day breakfast is the bomb. Eggs were runny and everything man, like they know what they doing here. Hash browns are better then burger king too. Come at me. And parking is the best by far.

Visited store today to use a subway voucher, I was told I couldn't use a voucher on the expensive subs because of stock shortages. However if I was to pay full price they have enough stock. Doesn't seem fair to penalise someone because they are using a voucher.

I'd like to say how friendly and helpful the staff and especially John the manager is. I take my elderly dad and he goes above and beyond for him. He knows exactly what dad has and always looks after him. Highly recommend if in the area. Thanks. Andy.

Brought 2 nachos with my 2 friends being told we can not sit in unless we spend over £10 and buy 3 items off them horbale manager spoke to us like we was trash will never use again avoid

Subway messed order up, told me they couldn’t rectify it and I would have to go through Just Eat. Guy was really polite on the phone but frustrating that it’s so long-winded to get a refund/new order.

Hash browns are black, sub has hardly any meat and nachos bearly any toppings. Not worth it

This a very poorly managed store, the manager doesn't know how to talk to customers. If you want to eat in don't bother go to Mc Donald you will get a better service. I would suggest that the higher management read my review and take action because this store will give the whole of Subways a bad name.

Cookies put in with hot food came melted and order 26 mins late and just eat app offer no help

Steak & Cheese foot long had not enough steak and NO cheese. Bacon and chicken foot long was OK Hot and Cold food along with bottles of cold pop straight from the fridge. Hardly good service or hygienic packing.

Paid for one of the subs to be footlong but it came as 6" No napkins

After ordering at around 1830 and being given a 40 mins wait time for delivery being between 1850 and 1910 it finally arrived at 2015 a total joke considering the shop itself shuts at 2000 on a Saturday night the journey between the shop and delivery point being less than 5 mins in a car will not be ordering from this shop again very disappointing 0☆

Ordered a Cadbury muffin. The muffin was put into the same bag as my order. Not individually wrapped just in the carrier bag. The heat from the sub and wedges melted it and the chocolate and caramel went all over the wedges meaning they were inedible. It has also seaped through the paper to the sub. Chocolate caramel chicken sub is vile. I wish I could attach photos to this review! Why put a muffin in the bag in the first place? Let alone just chucking it in without wrapping it. No reply from phone calls to the shop. Really unimpressed!
