Subway in Edinburgh, City of

It was just today when I had visited the place I got a student deal from there, there was an a girl whom I knew well, as she is working there for a long (at least since last three months) I am a frequent visitor of this shop, I got my stuff and while billing asked her - is that the amount after the student deal, and then she gave me a rude look and turned the screen without saying anything to show that she has added it in to the student deal. I do understand that these young girl might be working hard to earn but at the same time as a customer experience it was a bad thing! Subway should train its employee on how to deal with the customers! The food, atmosphere and everything else is good!

Untrained staff, really slow, asked for sauce and I was given so much sauce in my sandwich that it can feed 3 other sandwiches! And got almost 2 tbsp of black pepper when asked ! Overall sandwich was inedible I gave this person pass since he was clearly a trainee It would be nice if trainee is accompanied by someone experienced

One person serving with another noticing and not helping and there being a queue of over 10

After waiting for 3 hours and 5 phone call to the shop it never even got delivered

This is the worst and I mean worst subway I've ever been to in my life. Stopped in while waiting for my ride to pick me up. Ordered a veggie delight sandwich. I ask for mustard and mayo and she says there is no mustard. Then I tell her I want all the veggies and she says there is no lettuce. Like what?! Are you kidding me . Lettuce is the main part of the veggie sub. Forget it said. Keep your sub .I don't want it. Bathrooms were out of order and who doesn't have lettuce or mustard and god knows what other veggies she was out of. Your open till 3 am you claim on google but your door says open till ten. Feel sorry for anyone that shows up after ten. You should be closed down permanently. Horrible place and smelt bad too.

Not sire what happened but the bread was really stale and tasted bitter.

The contents were good but the bread was stale. I find it highly unlikely that it was baked today.

I will never return! The shop assistants were not friendly at all, I wanted to go wash my hands but they wouldn't let me because it was damaged. I told them I needed to use the bathroom and one was broken. Was everything spoiled? Or they don't want to clean and put up the sign? What a coincidence, that all the bathrooms were broken... Not recommended

Horeible place to eat! They don't let you to go to the toilet. "They say it's not working" and they don't mind you habe dinner here and you meed to go. No solutiom given Don't go ever!!😡

"Sad"way is more like it. No comparison to the ones in the USA or at other countries i have visited, yet pricing is much higher. The lady making sandwiches was kind but the end product is sad-looking. Bathrooms were cleaned.

Cookie was wrong one, waffle fry’s cold and hard inedible and cold coffee, waste of money luckily sub was edible

Worst subway I’ve ever been. There’s no working flow so you need to wait for an insane amount of time before having your food ready. I was fainting on the line. There’s one customer in front of us and it took about 20 minutes to get our food. And by the time they finished with us the q has like 8 ppl. They need to be trained properly to work efficiently really.

The girl who served us was so annoyed and rude.. terrible service! We wanted to understand how the chain worked and it was not explained to us but rather we were treated with disdain. It's not done like that. The basic food isn't bad but the ingredients are left there on the counter all day and it shows. Questionable cleanliness, every table was full of crumbs. We won't be returning.

The food was good, but one of the workers (called Anena) was very unpleasant, with bad manners and as if everything bothered her.

The meatballs were like rocks. Never had such bad food from Subway before. Yeuch! Never again. Complained and JustEat said they’d get back to me. Never have.

got food poisoning from the teriyaki chicken sandwich here and felt terrible for 4 days plus. bad food hygiene standards.

Just go to another Subway! Not worth the poor customer service. Every employee looks miserable. I saw two very older ladies get taken advantage of in front of me.. All they wanted was to split a simple cheese and tomato sub (nothing else)... and were charged a ridiculous amount. The lettuce is disgusting and nobody cares to change it?! Yuck. Half of order was missing. Late delivery with No cookies, no crisps and no drink. Payed all that money for a wee sandwich. Scandalous.

AVOID!!!! AWFUL SERVICE. Three members of staff were stood chatting to each other, it took me 15 minutes to get my sandwich even though there was only one person ahead of me. By the time I was finally able to pay my food was so cold there was no point in me getting it toasted.

Over 2 and half hours late, ordered at 11.45 and come through the door at 2.35, didn’t let me cancel order either so it’s a waste of food!!!! Absolutely ridiculous

Shocking. Toilet door didn't lock, no toilet paper and the hand dryer didn't work. Tables were sticky and full of crumbs. Really dirty and unhygienic. Staff are as slow as christmas and charged us the wrong prices. Overall vibe of the shop is depressing.

We arrived on January 1st at almost closing time and Emma greeted us very willingly and with a smile. He gave us the necessary help and all his kindness. A place is not only the food but the quality of its employees and Emma is an employee to always have.

Terrible. Never again. Waited almost 2 hours for a driver - had to cancel and pick up. Wasn’t ready when I went and they left me standing there for 10 minutes after it was made. Had to ask again for it. NEVER AGAIN

it's always shut early! great food and staff, but they never open in line with their advertised hours - always shutting early. it says to open until 9pm Mon-Thurs, more like 6:30 if you're lucky! would go there most days after work (about 7 or so)... but it's always closed! update your house and open until your official hours please, just trying to be a customer!

The store today seems understaffed but the staff were so patient while serving us.

Food was fine. Service was very slow. There was no one out front when I came in and took at least 3-5 minutes before anyone noticed I was there. Once staff noticed me was served quickly and it was fine.

A subway is a subway, pretty affordable lunch, however they are clearly lacking some staff at the earlier hours of the day. I liked the sandwich options with chicken the most. I did not appreciate however that some of the staff were a bit slow and seemingly a bit stressed at times, and that is in the same early hours, not that stressing is needed at that time.

2 stars overall only because the food was not terrible. First of all, the tall male staff with long hair was absolutely dreadful. There was a female staff member who was making someone else's sub, then we walked in, then about 4 others after us. When we came in, he walked out to take orders. He continued to swear under his breath the entire time. The atmosphere was extremely uncomfortable. I ordered a foot long, but he continued to make it a 6 inch. I was too hesitant to say anything as he was extremely unhappy with what he was doing. I think it's time to find a career that doesn't make your life so miserable. At this point, we decided to go back and eat at the hotel. The bread was extremely dry, and the toasted sub was not toasted. It was disappointing. My fiance sub was decent. I think it's time to bring a staffing manager to train the stuff on soft skills and quality control.

We were never a fan of subway sandwiches but since we were too hungry, we went here yesterday (Aug 12, 9:30am) for a quick breakfast. We were completely disappointed with their service. The male staff with long blonde hair was rude and impatient, and so was his female co-worker during that shift. Next time please be considerate enough especially to those who cannot catch up with your accent. We can understand and do speak in english as long as you speak loud and clear. Will definitely not recommended this branch. I hope this branch will run out of business soon.

This Subway over charges people. Often, the price they charge you at the till is not the price that is advertised on the board. I have complained about it before but nothing has been done. If you do go here, make sure you don't get scammed!

Subway is located near the Museum of Scotland next to the Greyfriars Kirkyard. Fast service and decent seating with toilet facilities.

As far as subways go it's great (I've been to some really terrible subways). But it's still just subway

The person who was delivering couldnt find my address and when he did arrive couldn't open the door even though he was buzzed through. Didn't deliver my sandwich and when we spoke on the intercom just lied. Just Eat just nothing!

I went in to get a sandwich and hot drink. I asked for a sandwich which I could see that I would like,and was told rather irritatedly that they had run out. I asked for a coffee and was told again impatiently that the coffee machine was broken. I left with a sandwich and cookie for my fiance. I felt disappointed and could not understand how anyone could be so rude. I won't be going there again.

Staff put the sub in the oven and just walked away, letting her colleague deal with the long queue, and the sub fot burned.

Used to be good and my go to lunch, but the new staff aren’t nearly as trained as the old and every time I’ve gone they’ve burned the bread to the point the cheese is inedible and just burnt crisp, well not worth the price especially for a uni student who has to count every penny this is 100% not the staffs fault that they're not trained or have enough experience but management defos need to get someone more experienced on staff

Nous avons mangé sur place après une bonne matinée de marche. Nous avions donc envie de nous poser un peu. Le staff n’était pas vraiment plaisant: pas de sourire, aucun effort pour parler avec les étrangers et le pire ce fut la musique. Elle était tellement forte que nous ne nous entendions même pas parler. Pour commander nous devions limite crier. Certains clients sont entrés et sortis directement sans commander en voyant qu’une musique aussi forte semblait normal. Et ce n’était pas une musique calme (c’était du rock). Bref je ne recommande pas cet endroit si vous souhaitez vous poser et être un peu au calme tracez votre route vers un autre endroit.

For some reason none of the items were packed up properly there was no seal and I got my order in a wide open bag.. not feeling good about it . Food itself was great as usual

Ordered a six inch sub I measured it it was barely 4 looked like it just been thrown on the Salads where a mess and again just looked like it been thrown in looked horrible and taste was not what I expect from a subway really bad £18 on nothing and couldn’t even eat it

Until Subway signs up to the Better Chicken commitment, I most definitely will not be visiting any time soon...not that I would eat Chicken in the first place, but for those that do, would at least want it to come from a place without being subjected to cruelty. Big corporations think they can do as they please. I will vote with my feet and go elsewhere.

Subway is getting a lot of bad press for its support for extreme cruelty of animals. As such, I won't be buying their products until they move into the 21st century. Abusive behaviour by big corporations, whether its again people or animals, shouldn't be supported.

This order was never delivered !!!!!!!!! I phoned the restaurant multiple times and the call was cancelled every time. Now it’s says it was delivered when just eat never even assigned a rider! This is ridiculous I want a refund.

Every single I come here I’m standing waiting for like 5 to (literaly!!) 10 mins, and all I here are your girl employees chatting away at the back not even bothering to check out the front! Ligit every time.

Food was cold, stone cold, we ordered cookies and got crisps! The bread was wrong, we ordered 3 steak & cheese and 1 meatball but we got 4 steak. Fillings were wrong, all had jalapeños but no one had ordered them, the sauces were wrong and they didn’t give us our juice. I called Justeat and the customer service advisor was really helpful and kindly gave me a full refund

Subway sent out a voucher booklet with 'big deals inside' offers valid until 31/05/2020. When my friend and me got to the checkout, they wouldnt accept it saying 'head office hadnt approved a button for the till yet' Totally false advertising, tricking people to come instore, order, then be refused at the till! What a scam!!!

I always had veggie delight and found it very good. Being an Indian, veggie delight sub match my expectations for the taste I expect.
