Decided to have a subway roll today which was very disappointing. Got back to office and found that he had given me a stale roll. I won’t be returning to this branch.

Dreadful experience, only put one star because 0 stars isn’t possible. Workers were very rude and couldn’t understand what type of sandwich we asked for even though it’s on there menu. I ordered a vegetarian sandwich due to being a vegetarian and the guy didn’t change his gloves after touching a meat sandwich! Once our food came out of the toaster, we asked for it to be cut in half and to put salad on one half. We were told that you couldn’t put salad on it as it’s a set menu sandwich, you can only do this with a customised sandwich. Then my wife said can you put it through as a customised sandwich then on the register and the guy said no because we have already made your sandwich? I don’t think the staff on shift today were capable of serving customers, not to mention the rudeness in their tone of voice! Another customer asked if the AC was on because of how hot it was, the workers said “ oh i don’t know, it might be broken…”, how lazy and rude! Sorry, will NOT be returning ever again!

It needs to improve as their is a lot of competition in the area from chains and locally owned cafes. Service was fine but by ordering a set sub you get two salad choices, if you build your own you used to get unlimited. Sign being outside Greggs meant a few including me walked in their and as the chains are very alike it's only the lack of salad at the counter that made me realise. If you are prepared to look around and try a local independent takeaway you will certainly find better value and service.

Couldn’t understand the routine of getting a roll and a wrap. No toilet facilities as they told me to use Tesco !!

There are a couple of Subways in Stevenage. Two in the town centre, one in the High Street and one in the Industrial Area at the BP garage so you can get salad from them quite easily. I like visiting the one in the Town Square and it is always good food, The staff are friendly and they provide good service. I have never had a bad experience there. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I had to order over the phone as I am allergic to dairy and cannot add meat to a vegan pizza or customise a normal pizza to have vegan cheese. Not only did the lady on the phone mumble which made it difficult to understand but she came across as rude. I was not informed of the price before asking for my card details which I didn’t question as it usually comes to around £25-30 for 2 pizza with a deal which the person operating the phone adds on for us but this time it came to £52!! If I was able to order this online I could have got 2 pizza’s and 2 sides for £24.99. Please make the vegan base and cheese an options for customisation for those with allergens so we don’t have to pay double the amount for less!!

Bog standard limited edition Chicken Royal Burger meal thing! A limited edition burger that cost over 12 pounds for a burger meal that was it was absolutely tasteless! The chips were cold dry soggy. I would have been better off buying McDonald's value burgers because at least you know what flavour you're getting! Seriously, it is one of the blandest Burgers I have ever had in my life. Rip-off prices and nasty food. avoid

The cafe has recently been moved downstairs much to my annoyance as before there was a viewing platform where you could watch Stevenages finest roll in with their prams and shell suits with a near perfect line of vision this is no longer the case too many visual obstructions. The only positive of the new location is my wife and I were recently playing Super Mario cart on the Nintendo switch and there was an old lady in there that was a dead ringer for Koopa Troopa. Service is still good. Now you also have to travail a quagmire of uncontrolled kids screaming and running around whilst their parents stoclk up the trolley with 20 rustlers burgers and a load more E numbers to plough into their kids.
