Subway in Newark and Sherwood

Brilliant service. Two women on shift today. It was very clear they were swamped with online orders. Despite this, I was amazed with their hard work and attention to detail. Really enjoyed my sandwich- thank you for your excellent work both!! Their work should be recognised by their manager. :)

I don’t usually leave reviews like this, but my recent experience at this Subway really needs to be shared. The young blonde staff member who served us had one of the worst attitudes I’ve encountered in a long time. From the moment we walked in, there was no greeting—just a blunt “What do you want?” without a smile or even eye contact. When I asked for mozzarella, she snapped back with “That’ll be more,” in a tone that felt rude and passive-aggressive—like I wouldn’t want it if it cost extra. When it came to paying, she barely said the total clearly, didn’t thank us, and didn’t acknowledge us at all before turning around and going on the phone. I was still waiting for my drink and had to say “Excuse me, can I have my drink please?” After that, she just grabbed a cup and slammed it down in front of me without a word—not even a basic “sorry for the wait.” Also, Subway refers to their staff as “Sandwich Artists,” but there was definitely no sign of care or skill in how she made the sandwich. It was rushed, sloppy, and completely lacking the level of effort or presentation I’ve seen in other Subways. Customer service doesn’t have to be over the top, but basic politeness really goes a long way. It costs nothing to be kind, and experiences like this are disappointing when all you expect is a decent level of respect.

Really nice and energetic workers, feels inviting and the food is amazing. Had my food within 3 minutes definitely would recommend this.

Wish I had done Deliveroo from my car, this gets priority over customers waiting. Was first in line but servers must have done 20 deliveroos before acknowledging me and my family!!!! 20 minute wait for my order to be started!!!! Servers very very rude. No apology for the delay. Every time the deliveroo bong went off that order had priority!!!!! Not happy!!!! Think of your face to face customers as well or you will loose them FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!

Huge queue but no one focusing on serving customers in store. Too busy sending out just eat or something orders.

Dan and his colleague were amazing and so helpful. We had a big order and couldn't pre order but they did it for us on the same morning!! Very friendly and chatty will definitely be back.

Stood at the front of the queue whilst the poor employee made 4 subs Infront of me for two separate deliveroo orders. Took 20 mins until served. No apology given. Absolutely shocking. I'll think twice about coming here until the policy changes.

Shows closing at 11pm online and get here to get a Subway at 8pm and they are shutting down early.

I've been to several Subways and here the sandwiches are about 20% of what they are elsewhere, it used to be normal, now they save on everything, especially the round man. I don't recommend it and it's a waste of money

Portions are getting smaller and smaller. Health and safety situation at Newark Subways next to ASDA. Delivery guy setting his bag down on top of sub wrapping paper.

Staff not great, a little miserable really, food tasty albeit a little luke warm

By far the best subways I've used real great food but it's the attitude n general attitude of the lady behind the counter ... Was feeling a bit down n she changed my whole outlook on my day ... Just wished I was going there for dinner too 😢 5 star all round ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Didn't use Subway. The garage staff are excellant. Can't do enough for you. I always use this to get my petrol and usually buy quite a few other items. It is also open late.

Had a great experience while passing through newark and stopping at this subway, we was served by regan who was very helpful, friendly with great service credit to the company, will be visiting next time we are in newark 👌👍

Need to double triple check the order may have missed the items

Easy to access with parking outside. Can run out of bread varieties and dinner filings (esp. vegan) early.

Quick friendly service and tasted amazing

Stopped here for a vegan meatball sub. Tricky to eat but delicious. Good service, great choice of bread, salad and sauces. Hard to fault.

Perfect as long as they have what u would like, 90% they don't have meatballs

The staff was helpful and efficient. He was also friendly. There were tables and chairs to sit down in the Spar shop.

It's a subway. Nothing wrong with it, just nothing to get too excited about. Staff were better than other places.

Fuel n subway goes hand in hand and they stock good products with variety staff helpful and pleasant😁

Went in on a bank Holiday weekend (on Saturday ) the guy and girl on the shift wouldn't stop moaning to each other about the job and how unfair working there was. They got the product wrong I asked for but didn't realise till I got back and I even heard swearing in the back area which I did not want my little boy to hear.

Clean, tidy, and service with a smile. Sarah (I think that's her name) always serves with a a smile and wishes you well with your day. Food wise... It's Subway, it's the same everywhere and that's the point. At the back of the service station and there is a little seating area that doesn't seem to get busy. Can be a little queue bit nothing like the city centre subways you can get diesel at the same time.

Really good subway , choice of breads and fillings. 6" or 12" subs. Drinks hot or cold, crisps and cookies. Good service, friendly staff and quick service. Situated at the rear of Spar. Small eating space or takeout. Plenty of parking. Could be better advertised from road.

Always amazing service and clean and tidy, always great attention to detail.

Subway of our choice in Newark. Never a long wait and the staff are very friendly.

The service is good, employees are friendly and helpful. If you like subway, I recommend this one.

Might just be me but I find it painful ordering with all that cr#p they ask
