Subway in Solihull

Update 2025: Popped in for lunch and despite my previous review and number of previous visits I've had here it seems that there's been a decline in service. Ordered a kids sandwich for my youngest where a ham sandwich was ordered. The staff member placed the ham in the sandwich and then almost put the same hands with gloves on in the salad. I had to stop her from doing this as this kind of practice leads to contamination. Having told the staff member she immediately didn't like it and had a face on her. No apology every offered. Felt very let down by this and it was clear that the staff were talking about this after, periodically looking over as we were eating. For this I've deducted a couple of stars. A spot of lunch with the wife here. New branch, so thought why not. New items on offer, done if which 8 had as part of my lunch. Chilli and Paprika bread 👌🏽 really nice. Had the chicken and bacon melt which is my favourite and didn't disappoint. Staff friendly and efficient. The branch itself is very clean and spacious. Think with a pushchair it may be bit of a squeeze. With my wife being a vegetarian it was really good to see that the staff changing their gloves each time which is something we've had a problem with at other branches. Recommend this branch ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I am surprised to see such poor and disgusting food quality that almost food poisoned me if we eat it. I have to bin it. I have ordered two brown bread sandwiches footlong from them through another fraud company called UBER eats. My breakfast was ruined up by receiving contaminated ingredients and bed smiling food it was an expired ingredients old bread. Not even the right order. Sandwich was wrong as well. I got white and brown , whereas I ordered both brown bread. Please AVOID THEM in case you ordered their food and found it in the same condition that I had, then bin it. Don't think about money you wasted on them. Think about your health comes first.

Very single time I order from here, it's excessively late. I kick myself every time forgetting they are useless here. Right now, it was meant to be delivered by 11.35 and it's now 12.12. I get it's lunch time but don't offer delivery or be more realistic with delivery time? I have 2 kids now waiting to eat, cannot get hold of the restaurant... pathetic service. I rarely complain or leave bad reviews but this has been too many times now

Food was absolutely delicious. When I entered the atmosphere here was totally positive and cool.All tables were clean and all food was fresh. I m surely visit this subway over and again.

I’ve used this subway more than once and definitely decided it’s the worst branch I’ve ever used. Portions are stingy, they don’t participate in offers and the staff are far from polite.

Always have loads of promotions advertised but won't ever accept any, even though their site says they're participating. Avoid this store and go to sears retail branch.

Ordered food on deliveroo it showed for an hour restaurant preparing your order! Had to phone the restaurant to find out why it takes 60 minutes to put pre cooked food into some bread! Then I was forced to wait another 40 minutes after ringing before my food arrived stone cold the toasted bread was solid. After reading reviews it seems asif this isnt a one off thing so i will never be ordering from this branch again as they can't get basic customer service right.

I had 2 nachos chicken 6 inch meal. Girl and man behind counter don’t know how many cheese goes in sub. That’s fine. I always get my sub from digeth and she confirmed that it’s same owner but how they have different policies for same brand with same owners. Plus coffee machine didn’t work. At the end I asked her to scan my barcode she said it’s done and I realised now that she didn’t because my point didn’t get updated. I hope I get answers for these.

Don’t order through Deliveroo or just eat they take the absolute piss. Whenever I go in as well the service is always poor. Staff just don’t seem as though they care about the customer.

The app for your points doesn’t work and hasn’t been for a few weeks they said, this is not good as a reward system if you can’t be rewarded for your loyalty.

Order food on just eat turn up a hour late and my melt was stone cold I will not be ordering from them again

A great fan of the notorious BMT sandwich. This is a small shop located at the heart of Shirley near Stratford road. This shop has only limited seating spaces. So if you are coming with a large group, space need to be checked for dine in. There are public car parking spaces outside the shop. Some of them are paid. Subway has vegetarian options. Vegetarians in your group won't get disappointed.

I ordered a custom sub, i asked for my usual salad and for it not to be toasted it turned up stale, toasted and no lettuce or cucumber. getting 3 however because i called up and they fixed the mistake and sent it out within 20 mins

Nice to eat in hot chocolates really nice subs are really nice aswell.

Worst subway I have been to, next to no service furthermore very stingy with the meat toppings, 75% bread, 15% salad and 10% actual meat.

2 visits made and consistently the most miserable staff of any subway I've ever been to.

Terrible service!!! Do not have any idea about customer service. I got shouted at for chasing an order that was 25 mins late. I got told to wait. Its been over an 1 hour 35mins ! I live 4 mins away on car! Worst service ever!!!

They can be really slow but I think that's delivery driver's fault

Still waiting for my Just Eat order 35 minutes after said it was delivered. Tried phoning. Got through once and couldn't hear a word he said. Now its just ringing out...

Really nice servers! Horrid manager ( we think he was a manager) very rude to his staff and having ago at them in front of customers. Very unprofessional and unwelcoming.

This subway branch is normally my go to however since it’s under new management the service has been absolutely disgusting by the manager himself (mohesh) he does not know how to deliver good customer service. There’s been a few lovely girls in headscarves that have been absolutely so great and so polite and another gentlemen James he always has been professional too. I will not be using this branch anymore due to the manager delivering poor customer service even after telling him multiple times on how I want my sandwich made he still went ahead and didn’t listen and just argued with me. Shoutout to them lovely headscarf girls and James!

Ordered delivery from justeat. Look at this meatball sandwich. Come on!! We also paid for guac and didn't get it. The tuna was missing lettuce and tomato and this is the saddest tuna sandwich ever. Don't waste your time.

I would give this place a 0 star if could the reason being they no longer sell ham and changed it to Turkey ham I know exactly why thy have done this its because restaurants now are constantly catering for Muslims and getting rid of English food like bacon ham and anything to do with pig products which is wrong because they should offer a choice which they do not why should I eat halal food when I am not a Muslim I thought I was in England not a Muslim it seems like I'm forced into eating halal products i am not a Muslims I can eat ham or bacon when I feel like it I sick of having to change what I eat because this country is all wrong

Disgraceful! Stale tasting bread, flat ‘empty’ sandwiches, nachos were awful and only about 10 soggy crisps.

Such a shame that this Subway is not wheelchair accessible. My partner who is in a wheelchair was unable to access and despite a sticker on the door saying they were happy to help wheelchair users no member of staff made any effort to do so. Very disappointed with such a big chain like subway not being accessible to all.

They have dang food and plus the staff are very polite plus the manager is very friendly like the staff and the food is one of the best in the area I've ever tried

Very nice place to eat in or take out the staff are very polite but as a vegetarian I would recommend this place 100% for vegetarians and non vegetarians people.The food is mouthwatering

Well over priced for salad. On a poshed out baguette.staff can just about understand english.

Food was amazing very good quality and the staff were very kind and nice and would definitely recommend others to visit this subway and I'm definitely coming back to this subway👍
