Gild Lounge & Bar in Solihull

Average to poor burger and chips for nearly £20, £8 for a very ordinary pint. An astonishing rip off.

Hind sight is a wonderful thing. Honestly that was the most awful burger I have eaten, gristly and low grade meat, the chips were luke warm and were obviously microwaved. Best bit were onion rings but they were cold 🫤

Been staying here for over 10 years, and on busy nights the bar can be hectic and a long wait... Well not if you are well looked after by the fantastic service area that we have discovered. Fiona was simply amazing, so attentive and helpful, the service was second to none.

Great bar, Andrew was super helpful, funny and overall great. Made our night, thank you!

Overpriced, moody, thick staff and fly in food

Hotel bar and restaurant with nice atmosphere. Food came pretty fest and well presented, but was tasteless. Desert was dry.

Poor food, very slowly service, overpriced. The quinoa salad was almost without quinoa. Chiken and burger tasteless and dried. The table wasn’t clean at all. And we waited for 50 min for the food.

They've recently had a make over and it looks lovely. The staff are upbeat and friendly. Although pricey (it's a hotel, what do you expect?), they have a decent selection of drinks and the pasta carbonara is large and very tasty!

£16 for half a pizza, maybe 2/3rds of a pizza. But £16!!!!! Day. Light. Robbery.

Attending a convention at the hotel and the staff have been fantastic. Dealing with this many people must be stressful, but they have handled it with friendly professionalism. They were especially helpful with food allergies, finding an alternative for my husband's lactose intolerance. They even kept their cool when I managed to drop the card terminal on the floor! Add a lovely atmosphere and tasty food and this was a definite winner for us.

Extremely overpriced. I asked for a breakfast tea and was charged almost £5 which is daylight robbery.
