I visited the Subway store today and had an extremely disappointing experience, which I believe could be a case of attempted fraud by the staff. I specifically asked for gluten-free (GF) bread, and at first, the staff member claimed the shop didn’t have any. When I asked him to check again, he eventually found some in the back. I then asked for the meal deal, which is advertised at £3.99. He confirmed the meal deal and started preparing my food. However, when it came time to pay, I was shocked to see the total was over £10. I questioned this, and he claimed that tuna costs an extra £6, and I was also being charged an additional £1 for the GF bread. He also said that the meal deal only includes crisps and a drink????????????? None of this was explained upfront, and I was in disbelief at how a simple 6-inch sandwich could come to over £10 at Subway. I refused to pay this unreasonable amount and was about to leave when the staff member suddenly said he could charge me £4 for the sandwich instead. Since the bread had already been toasted, I accepted. However, when I went to pay again, he attempted to charge me £6. After confronting him again, he reluctantly adjusted it to £4. On top of this, I noticed something highly suspicious with the payment transaction. Instead of showing “Subway” on the payment receipt, the transaction showed “Zettle_*money machine,” which I suspect might be a personal payment receiver rather than an official Subway account. This raised even more concerns about whether I was being scammed. I feel this entire situation was highly unprofessional and possibly an attempt to overcharge me on purpose. The inconsistent pricing, lack of transparency, and overall behavior were appalling for a well-known chain like Subway. I hope Subway addresses this issue seriously and prevents such behavior from happening to other customers in the future.

I visited this Subway branch on the afternoon of Saturday, 12th October 2024, and had an unusual experience with the payment process. Instead of using the usual Point of Sale (POS) system, the staff member processed my payment by tapping a mobile phone. I found this quite odd and was concerned about the possibility of fraudulent activity. As a customer, I expect businesses to use secure and recognised payment methods, so this deviation from the norm left me feeling uneasy. I hope the branch addresses this issue and ensures that all transactions are handled safely and professionally in the future.

I recently visited Subway and was very impressed. The place is incredibly clean, which immediately made me feel comfortable. The food is excellent, always fresh and well prepared. Additionally, the staff is very friendly and attentive, always willing to help and make sure you have the best experience possible. Definitely, an excellent option to enjoy a good sandwich.

Sub newsletter came to me by post - with coupons - you’d think that these coupons are useable; no, they are not. The whole campaign is shambles and a scam to boot - will never remove this review until the issue gets ratified; mainly, they don’t work. Moreover, since I am already describing my experience - it would be good to mention that the chicken tastes exactly like that time you chew on cardboard as a kid; and that time you decided to taste the tree bark - as the beef option. Absolutely horrendous, go on and have a taste of garbage at your local Sub (thank you I hate it)!!!

Disappointment is not a word strong enough to describe my experience. Only giving one star as there’s not a negative score option! Ordered a meatball sandwich on yesterday’s dry bread and nearly broke a tooth. The meatballs tasted like mould. I was eating while trying not to throw up! Cookies overcooked and went for a second round in the microwave before handed to me! Should’ve stayed away from the place. Got stomach aches already! If I survive this meal I will definitely NEVER VISIT Subway again! Ever! Anywhere!

A couple minute walk from Farringdon Railway/Underground. Tiny place, only few chairs to sit and eat inside the front window, standing space is limited. The work station is small compare to other subways, person who made my sandwich with no interest or enthusiasm as he just sees it as a easy paid job and didn't wear hair net or hat.

Worse subway I’ve ever been to. Did time I went it was closed even though it’s 24 hours. I went with a voucher where this shop is on the list of participating stores and they didn’t accept it. At first they said this is not number 4 cow cross street then just said no and started serving someone else. I think if you’re on the list you have to take it? Edit: thanks for the very slow response, you haven’t addressed why the shop was shut during its opening hours or why you refused my voucher despite being on the list of participating stores. I simply went to the shop after it reopened.

Disappointing. Bread was a bit stale at the ends. Was toasted but barely warmed through at all. Asked if I want ‘cheese on both sides’ of the sub then charged for extra cheese that I didn’t ask for. Drinks dispenser turned off so only more expensive bottled drinks available. Cookie was rock hard

When I'm down in London for work, I'll often walk by at 7:50am hoping to get some breakfast, only to find them closed and no-one in site, despite advertising that they open at 7am. There are also some members of staff who clearly don't listen to what you say, or you ask for something additional (such as cookies) and they'll charge you, but won't give them to you and seem surprised when you ask to be given it.

I am absolutely fuming. Have been busy all evening and didn’t have time to eat and was absolutely starving so decided to order a subway for my partner and I. Have to be up at 6 tomorrow for an important call as well so was glad to see the delivery time was relatively short. You can imagine my exasperation then when my ENTIRE ORDER was incorrect. I ordered a footlong, it was 6-inch, I asked for no cheese (lactose intolerant) and it came with cheese. I ordered meatball marinara and instead I received a sandwich with no meat or filling of any kind aside from salad (which was also incorrect) and last but not least the bread wasn’t even correct. Honestly laughable. My partner’s sandwich was a similar story. The level of incompetency is absolutely astounding for a multi-national, multi-billion pound franchise. If you do not have the ingredients to make the requested order, DON’T ACCEPT THE ORDER. Absolutely shocking and will never order from this branch again. Happy to pay extra for delivery from another restaurant if it means I never have to experience this again. AVOID.

Ordered the vegan meatball marinara sauce sub had no sauce at all when i asked where the marinara sauce was they said our spoon has holes in it so we can put any sauce on it i said use another spoon then sub came back still with no sauce so had to ask for extra southwest so it wasnt completely dry i will never go to this subway again.

Terrible customer service just now (11pm 29th Nov 2019) - lots of products and toppings missing, that’s fine, but treated as if ‘how the dare you come in here at this time and expect anything, you’re only stopping us from clearing up’ - genuinely got the sense the staff were infuriated by my presence. Never the slightest hint of an apology for the missing items, more than I should be desperately grateful for them that were even deigning to serve me in the first place. Abysmal.

It's a Subway. You know what you're gonna get. I try and avoid this branch though, as: 1. They NEVER cut the footlong in half properly, and you end up pulling half the fillings out trying to tear the bread when you get back to the office. 2. Bit stingy on the toppings.

I was completely and utterly disappointed with the food and service I received today, to start we had a very long wait to even see any staff members and we were wondering if there was even anyone in the building, when we finally got served it was ok however when I got back to my hotel to eat my sandwich it was overdone the bread was hard and it was obvious the sub had been left in the toaster for way too long as the tuna was really hot and tasted weird so I couldn’t eat most of it, will never return.

Staff are unbelievably rude simply asked him if a certain item was on the breakfast menu or not and he changed his tone of voice so dramatically to convey his annoyance. On top of that because I asked about the price he told me “ if you don’t have money then get out from shop “ clearly this deluded individual has confused himself and thinks he’s the CEO rather than a measly employee. Dude in questions is an Indian looking guy. @subway you need to go through a more rigid employment process the person spoke terrible English aswell. AVOID

Staff are unhelpful and rude. Bread had been on the side for a while. Was rather dry. My food came out the oven and I could see no cheese on it, so I asked him where it was. And he said "its on there, 2 slices" There was hardly anything on there. "Stay picky" campaign by subway really did nothing, as the staff refused to add more toppings. Go else where for food.

I am absolutely astounded that this place has any repeating customers. Let me describe my lunch today in this not busy subway. 1. The first person to speak to me says - "what do you want?" 2. Then starts to give me a piece of bread smaller then 1 slice of cheese! 3. Replacing this bread was a hardship for him to walk 2ft to the oven. 4. I ask for it toasted and it was taken out with the customer in front. 5. I ask for all salad where I get - 1 small slice of tomato more onion and pickle then lettuce and a couple of pieces of olives. 6. The customer in front uses a metro £1.99 voucher when I go to use mine I am informed that they don't accept them. I point out that the customer in front used one they rudely tell me he works there!! 7. I accept this and buy this poorly made meal. 8. I ask the customer outside if he works there he laughs and says no. Do not go they are rude not one please or thank you. This is my third time in a subway and this was the worst one I am never going again and I strongly urge you not to go either.

I made the mistake of ignoring the bad reviews, thinking “how bad can they be?” Cue two hours of them saying that either the food had been delivered or that it was on its way, when neither was true. It never came and they were horrible on the phone when I tried to complain. For your own sake, avoid at all costs

Food was great and the counter person Kevin was the best he did exactly what i requested and packed the food with best care i can tell with the tie bags for any liquid food encase of spilling. The only chinese takeaway shop counter that can speak good english and understand exactly what i said and want thats how all takeaway shops should be. Make sure he never leaves
