McDonald's in Islington

Bad, waited like the longest ever for my meal at a McDonalds. The slowest McDonald’s.

I just witnessed a member of staff use a cleaning bucket to transfer ice from the frappe machine to the drinks machine. I immediately asked them not to put ice in my Fanta. This is shocking, I'm disgusted to have witnessed this food hygiene issue.

Filthy and feels on edge the whole time

I didn't order any food/drink but friends did. They didn't make any complaints so I assume it was all good. Well kept clean restaurant with seating easy to find. I didn't visit the facilities but again nothing mentioned by friends that used them during the visit.

24 hours - they work so long must be hard! But we gets the nasty food even in sleeps - bad for tummy and liver 😞

Probably one of the worst McDonalds in London. I was waiting for 30 minutes for my order and it was only two burgers and fries. I raised this to two members of staff but they just dismissed it. The manager there (skinny male about 27 yo) didn’t do anything. 0/10 wouldn’t recommend.

Absolutely disgusting, rubbish everywhere. Surprised that rats were not feasting at the next table. I blame McDonald's as there were clearly not enough staff to cope

The service was so slow 20min wait for breakfast food that was left open on the side getting cold when they were sending burgers out straight away coffee was cold not even an offer of a refund or gift card mcdonalds in the USA whould never let you wait that long even with a menu changeover

I don't usually write reviews but I had to here. I went here yesterday and ordered some medium fries. That's all I got keep in mind. My mate who ordered a full meal got his food before me and many other people did. So I went to the till and asked where my food was, I was blanked by a white lady and then a black lady comes to the counter and starts shouting at me that she called my order when me and my mate didn't hear her at all so she is most likely lying and not taking responsibility for her actions. Afterwards I asked for some barbecue sauce and she just threw the pot on the counter and walked away. Avoid, I won't be coming here again and if I ever do I'll tell the black lady about herself

Mcfood and mcservice in too many mcminutes ... Not the best even by their standards, fine if you need a bland fake burger on the fly

Management was absolutely terrible and not helpful at all, did not even try to acknowledge our issue and was just rude straight from the beginning. I'd suggest hiring people with actual customer service experience and not people that have no idea what they do and how to talk to people/solving issues.

Apparently they are refusing service to kids so I've had to leave an important work call just to pay for my little sisters friends food. When I spoke to staff to ask about the issue they were all rude and dismissive, one even stating to another customer when she asked politely why they wasn't that "they had their reasons", and when I asked why didn't they just check security to see who the culprits of the vandalism were I was informed they "had no security at the time". I understand vandalism being an issue but anytime I have been in here most of your customers are kids. Unless the money for repairs is coming from your pay checks I don't see why every kid shouldn't be served, especially when they are your main customers. Even then, 2 girls from my sisters year were served before them but they then refused to let them pay for their order.

Came here late night after having a night out and we really enjoyed the food. To start they have Vegan options on the menu & most importantly they have SNACK WRAPS! I was visiting from the US and we don't have snack wraps on any of the menus. In addition to having the wraps they also offered Chili Chrispy Wrap and a Ceasar Crispy Wrap which with my HOT FRENCH FRIES hit the Spot! We tried the dips as well like the Curry Dip & the Salsa Dip which are not flavors MCD has here in New York that I've seen. The prices were pretty decent and if your looking for Fast food this does the job. We didn't try any Hamburger or Chicken burgers so I can't speak on that. Overall it was a good experience the food came out pretty quickly and the fries were fresh.

Maybe it's hit and miss looking at the reviews. But my food came nice and hot, staff were friendly, all was great.

Open late which is good as most things are shut there.

Off the main high street, fast service and self serve, big open space for queues , standard menu clean and open into the night.

Since the new manager (red hair) and his team have been there the food is kept too long - cold dry burgers ... lettuce is almost Cooked and brown after being heated for so long. The sauces police are out in full ... once per customer "its not a charity" as the server told me

I am writing to express my disappointment and dissatisfaction with the quality of food I received during my visit to your McDonald's located at Islington chapel market Angel on the 7/11/23. I ordered a chicken burger, which unfortunately did not meet the standard I have come to expect from McDonald's.

The service and food were not to my expectations. It was slow, and I had to ask a member of staff not to make my tea and have it sit there until it got cold before I received my food. She did not seem impressed after I said that.

Food was good and came quickly however the lady handing out the food was arguing with a Russian guy because he wanted ketchup.

Full of loud year 7s who want to be roadmen the cleaner spits on the bin for some strange reason ? And the the McDonald’s staff are very tight with there barbecue sauce they act as it there is a cost of bbq sauce crisis . Chips are usually piping hot tho can’t violate them for that. But my mate got a maggot on her shoe from there before

Opening hours misleading, arrived at 11pm and the milkshakes were all "unavailable", devastated and dissapointed.

This is the only McDonald's where if you don't order fries, they won't give you Ketchup

Dirty. Staff is stupid. Not normal, McDonald's employees stupid; however, a special tier of stupidity. Every time, there are problems here at night. Every order is wrong.

Out of ketchup, mozzarella dippers, and raspberry lemonade in a friday night! Outrageous and unacceptable. And the toilet was closed. Felt like Ronald McDonald standing over me at Guantanamo.

Dry burger, I should have remembered to add or take something from the order so it was made fresh to order. The place was uncomfortably cold, much colder than outside.I had the feeling this may have been done on purpose to ensure people don't hang out there. We didn't. We ate and left and won't be back for another few years.

Food cold self service did not print order and the staff just smile and ask me for a order number that the self service did not give and the person said no number no food mate felt like never again but I did get my ORDER BUT COLD 😨

The machines do not work properly to pay, and most times the order number does not appear on the screen. Staff are slow especially breakfast time. Even when there is hardly any customers they are really slow at preparing the food. It'd should be quick. I understand when it is busy but there no one around why is the service so slow

Always good food and a fast service at Mcdonalds Islington - near Angle station. Friendly staff and a great atmosphere for children with small indoor play area. We come here quite often to treat the kids.

It was like a Chinese meal. rubbery. And slooooooow. Ordered a muffin without cheese. Got the order, looked in the bag. Label says "no cheese" all good. Got all the way home. IT'S GOT CHEESE. ÀAAAARGH😡😡😡

young people vaping in areas where families are trying to enjoy their meal. managers please be aware and I've these young people on. Vaping is still smoking and it's against the law to smoke in enclosed spaces including Any McDonald's restaurant... spoilt my experience with the family

floor was being mopped while we were there (6.30pm), didn't get my chicken nuggets and when i got them, there was one missing. got half an iced latte and mozzarella sticks. fries were upside down in the bag.

This restaurant utterly fails with getting delivery right and they take no responsibility for failed deliveries, which they blame on others. Food bought through the app should have a way to complain easily for failed delivery. This restaurant in particular gets mistakes in our order 50% of the time. Where is the management to fix things? Just received hash browns and coffee for an order of burgers and mc fish.

Watch out for beggars stealing phones here.

The staff is unfriendly, you can tell how much they hate being there. We came at 9:30 PM and they had already closed 75% of the restaurant! Even worse, a drunkard sat behind us and the staff of course didn’t do anything to get him out.

Popped in there for a tea while it rained. Unfortunately, the poor woman cleaner who just cleaned the floor had to sweep it up again because a bunch of kids thought it would be a good idea to let out a load of party poppers and let it go all over the floor.

McDonald's, why, why oh why, in the USA can't we have these delicious hot and fried apple pies? London gets them. Hawaii gets them. Bring them back please. Please! So much better than the sorry soft lukewarm pies we get back home...sigh...

A bit shabby and run down i wont be going back there i have just been there again i don't know why god knows why but when we got our orders I opened up the bag and both orders of fries were half empty I went back to the counter and fair play the worker did apologise and made up two new portions of fries I asked the manager for some ketchup sauces and he told me only I could have only one even though I had two orders

Food was great but never been a fan of people speaking down to you, or more accurately making an assumption about what you do or don't know.

Food was cold. Staff (behind counter) unhelp and rude. Very very slow service. Might have been an off day. Wasn't even that busy. Double cheeseburger looked like someone sat on it, not rapped properly just thrown in the bag...

It's nice and peaceful early on in the day, and the breakfast sausage and egg mcmuffin was hot and tasty.

Dreadful! The chicken was raw and the burger had parts missing like the top of the bun ffs and looked like it had been dropped into the box. Fries were cold but that no surprise. Worse McD. Or any kind of burger experience I have ever had

Brilliant Manager, made us feel incredibly welcome and couldn't of asked for a better experience. McDonald's are fortunate to have such great staff.

Food was good but store only had a small gf opened and have closed off the upstairs. On asking staff if they'd consider opening upstairs, as there was no seating at all for even 1 person, I was told its permanently closed off and only used for staff training etc. Fairly disappointing as we had to wait for 15mins to find 2 seats.

The milkshake machine was broken, as is so often the case. It was clean and staff were nice though.

After eating my burger I've ordered a coffee. The lady behind the counter making drinks, probably thinking I wasn't watching, dropped my cup of coffee on the floor and, after looking around, cleaned the cup with her hand and continued to make my coffee. After I asked her to make my coffee again, this time with a new clean cup, she even started laughing and joking in her own language with her colleague. Useless to say she didn't even try to apologise. I'm sure you can see that from cctv. Visited on 15/10/22 around 9:45pm

The most laziest dirtiest one so far. Rude staff you never get what you ordered plus most times it's cold .if I pay fir something I want it hot. And orders take so long If you ask for a sauce you would think you were robbing them . I had 3 meals asked for sauce she gave me one I said there's 3 meals here so not a good macdonalds.

Nice McDonalds in a street with many shops and other food options. Helpful staff as my card was refused at the self order machine, but they were quick to arrange other payment methods for me at the regular counter. Despite the busy time my food arrived quickly and still enough places to sit and enjoy.

9:30pm in Islington, you'd think you'd be able to get dinner somewhere. Nope! We tried at least 10 restaurants, kitchens all closed at 9pm. Ridiculous. The only place still serving, was McDonalds. I hadn't been in a long time, but the food was decent. They didn't have everything we wanted, but at least we were able to get something to eat here!
